- We got a call for a Polaris RZR that overshot a dune and wrecked.
It was pretty messed up as you can see!
The dunes change every time the wind blows, and sometimes its extremely hard to tell where the drops are and how steep they are.
We were able to get it loaded and ready for the insurance.

Matt you should be paid by the Utah tourism department . I didn't know Utah had such a diversity of stuff to do and beautiful views love the videos . They're nice to watch when you're stuck in the house .
Utah is so diverse that it isn't even fair to the rest of the world. I live about 4 hours north of Matt. Here are some pictures that I took on a drive today.

Somebody, please tell the park manager to sweep for land mines.

Heck, I have never been a four wheeler but I can’t help watching these videos.
Native Utahn, Utah has everything except for a beach. Even then you can find a reservoir or lake to make you feel like you’re at a sea! Visit and enjoy our wonders, please do your part to preserve our landscapes. We get a lot of vandalism and graffiti in our parks and it’s appalling for such ancient wonders.
Gotta love Ed and his willingness to get in there and get the job done!
Caleb Nichols it’s in a good man’s soul, the desire to be useful; To carry one’s own weight, to not be a burden. Ed is said good man.
he does damn well for 88 years old.
@@karlschwaber7006 is he already so old
I cant think of ed being not around anymore
Our dunes move around, it's particularly dangerous after a sand storm. Not only do holes appear where they weren't the week before, but there is a layer of soft fine sand in hollows. Sadly there are often fatalities. Stay safe.
My pops wasn't in my life as a kid, we reconnected when i was 22. Now i work for him and when were not doing HVAC/R we love watching your videos. Thanks matt!
People at the park gate: "Uh Oh! Someone screwed up bad if Winder's brought a trailer!"
It’s probably a daily occurrence. Especially on weekends
That's why when renting you would pay that insurance lol
@@JoeMNPT At least daily since the trailer is standard equipment for SxS recoveries.
Ed's weather report! lol one of the best parts of the intro
And it's always accurate!
Best weather man on you tube
To the point !!
I feel like I’ve been to these dunes so many times... that the girl at the checkpoint would just wave me through. Great fix on the winch. I was first impressed with the idea of using the jump box as a power source. Then the fix straight to the motor was great. I thought this kind of “jack of all trades” was a lost art.
Knowing how to bodge your winch into working if a solenoid goes is fairly handy offroad, often it's just one that's failed so you can swap things over to get winch in.
I'm surprised that switch survived that tho.
I kinda want to see some 33x12.5 on the trailer for some extra flotation. He’s got to have some old ones around that shop
That's a awesome drawing you got in your mail..
That trailer of yours has seen more offroad than some of the jeeps I've seen up here in New England! This also looks like one of those "Hold my beer" moments.
Not only one of the greatest off road recovery teams in the country, but also the best fan base in the world!
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👍👍👍
that King Kong cartoon is super cool. The artist really got lots of details, Banana, King Kong, Ed and M&M's and funny word games 'a peeling' etc. Well done!!
Love Ed's weather reports, glad the a/c is fixed. Excellent job Randy, great filming! Thanks for sharing
"The owner says it's totaled."
Well he had a pretty good hunch about that, I tell ya hwat! He literally drove that thing till the wheels fell off!!
Based on the starring on the windshield and the broken seat, I bet he felt it too...
Glad to see Edd, sorting business out. Love from 🇬🇧
Matt, Once again I would like to tell you how much I enjoy your channel. Always interesting to see you work. My biggest appreciation is the wonderful way you treat and talk to Ed. Being an elderly guy myself, it feels great to be treated like a valuable human being. Keep up the good work, I will have to stop by when I crisscross the country one day (on my bucket list).
Thanks for the entertainment, looks like it was not bad since you couldn't damage any components, the damage was surely done. Thanks Ed for the weather report we look foward to it. Stay safe guys.😷 😷😷
People are seeing your channel and loving it because you are living life to the fullest loving what you do, doing what you love... thanks for sharing your videos
The drawing was the highlight of this video. Good work!
Loved the laugh on the sketch, hope Ed thought it was funny (He was a sit in for Fay Ray).
Found my real watercolors the day after I sent it. (only had my pens).
Great camera work and always fun to see Ed and the boys! Thanks!
mushpoint Awesome sketch. Wish I had that talent!

Thank you!
Stopped by and met Matt at his shop and got a Ed shirt, great group of people. Drew that after a cup of coffee a few days later.
Ed is a jewel in the team, take good care of him people like Ed are very rare.
That RZR is gonna need an alignment, good to see Ed again! Good work team
That was a tuff one! Thank goodness Ed was there to help out!

Another job well done guys! Keep the awesome videos coming, I always look forward to watching them. You're XJ Rocks!
I watch this channel because it’s good to see good people doing good things. Very humbling. God Bless!! ✝️❤️
When you measured your trailer I bet you didn’t figure in for the potential added wheelbase length those new Razors have with the “long travel brakeline” mod.
Like he’s said before, an extra 6 inches is 60lbs. Not worth the added weight.
@@lazydaisy7336 It was just a joke…the “long travel brakeline” mod meaning this razor had its front wheel attached only by the brakeline. Just poking fun at how often the front suspension of Razors tend to break and detach.
Oh, WOW. That drawing is just awesome! The details the artist put in there show a true love of what Matt and the crew bring to us all. Well done! "MATT this jeep is a peeling to him" Just what Ed would say.
omg that painting is PRICELESS, matts reaction is priceless too
Why don’t they just make the entire RZR out of brake lines? Then it’ll be indestructible.
Some people may frown at seeing Ed working the ramps when other able bodied and much younger folks are just standing there... but having grown up in a family where your work is your value in life, it makes sense, as long as Ed can work he will work otherwise life will become depressing for him. Love your content Matt keep it up!!
RZR is just one big weak spot, however they do have a very strong brake line.
The drawing was really funny!!! The yankum ropes and the bow shackles falling out.... Poor Ed got stuck in the jeep. 🤣🤣🤣
Posted 7 minutes ago. Don't think I've ever been this early to a Winder video. But I stopped everything to watch it though. I bet the insurance rate on his next RZR is gonna be sky high. Glad to see Ed out and about.
Insurance companies must love these RZR owners.
If this channel has taught me anything, it's never buy a damn RZR.
I know right? I’d buy even a CFMOTO over one of these, if you break one at least they are cheap to fix.
To be fair, we only see the busted ones on this channel. If all's going well, Matt's not getting a call.
@@om617yota8 yeah but like 90% of them are rzrs, now that could be cos 90% of Utah sxs's are rzrs or that rzrs drivers are worse. But still
Seems like their too soft or just a careless drivers

This channel is something else. If anyone can explain to me why I feel so much better after binging this content please let me know
Matt's Off Road Recovery
Matt, it’s the best channel on the toob 👍🏻🇷🇴🇬🇧
I personally love it because this channel is a rare peak at honest, hard working people that truly enjoy what they do, with a good dash of humor thrown in ! Plus it's refreshingly wholesome which is extremely rare in this day and age, centered around family, friends and incredible scenic views and of course last but not least it has Matt, Ed, Lady, Max,and two awesome cameramen Randy and Tim !! Really appreciate the effort you put into making every video a fun and entertaining choice for your viewers each and every time we watch! Keep up the great work and the great videos! Thanks, from Oklahoma!
The good news is the first scratch is over with. The bad news is she's hurt a bit.
Man I hope the passengers of the RZR are ok. It looks like the drivers head hit the windshield. That had to of been a seriously hard impact for that amount of damage.
Great video Matt and team 👍🏻 thanks for always making entertaining videos!
The steering wheel was slightly bent from the driver trying to hold himself/herself away from it too! Nasty impact!
Indeed that's why its dangerous to drive these things like idiots it will kill you or bystanders
Cleetus The Dog
I imagine the manufacturer has crash tested these to try an mitigate the impacts, just like cars.
Lawyers would be all over it otherwise.
At one time Polaris was a fast sled and the old ones are work horses, you could pull a pretty big log for a sled. I have not heard much good of them buying Indian but I have not checked them out. Polaris now owns TAP a big Jeep and some truck parts distributor one branch is 4 wheel parts, you used to be able to get stuff from them that was at least good. I think they intend to make the new replacement in the Poland plant which should be better than china. Sad to see Polaris so junky. Hope everyone was safe from the accident and hope you all stay safe and healthy. Thanks for the work doing the vid I appreciate them.
Ed is what I aspire to be when I’m older.

I bought a cheap XJ because of your Channel and couldn’t be happier ! Keep making XJ’s look good!
Thumbs up for this recovery mission. People are sure rough on their toys and I think they have sand everywhere, but they have big rocks also. Thumbs up and thanks.
the guy in the drivers seat is very smart for having the young lad in the passenger seat as I think he is part for the reason why people watch ..I know I do love him
Ed's a beast!
The Off Road vehicle manufactrers must LOVE these videos. More Sales for replacements.
What an awesome picture of the recovery team. Nice para-cord items as well. Great video of a salvage.
Thank you Matt... Yes, Ed is the best for last l love him, great guy... And l admire you, bcuz you're taking care of him... You have a good heart ❤️

Watching these videos keeps a smile on my face the whole entire time I love these videos even though I know you're doing serious stuff but it's good to know someone out there cares and noses stuff God bless you as well as your crew and family and friends peace out all the way from Spain going to go watch another one

❤️❤️❤️ LMFAO - when i worked at the body-shop Chip was our Ed, he is very missed (since passed), as Ed will be (missed) one day in the far-off future bc he is the long-lost brother of KeithRichards 🤣🤣, cherished moments all on video 🙂🙂❤️
Dumbest comment ever, you need high heat to kill it not some lightly smoking paper
It's fun to watch that little Jeep work. In the videos, it looks as though the Jeep doesn't even know the trailer is there. Just goes and goes. Nice work buddy. Just what this guy needed.
A fine piece of art work.... definitely a nice addition to the Kramer....
The art work on the box and the picture is awesome. It's amazing what inspires people. I like the kindness.
I think I know my way to the dunes from your shop and I,ve never been there. Looks like a great spot to do some off roading. The video is getting more professional every day.
Your crew is getting really good at getting the right angles and shots for the drive into and out of the recovery. Well done and keep up the good work!!
Great job and some great fan mail, the picture and para cord leads and key chains were awesome. Stay safe.
The drone shots really add perspective to the scale of your area.
God bless you Ed! Good to see you!
Good Ole Ed! Excellent cameraman. Beautiful scenery.
Looks like you need a sheet of UHMW , thats about trailer width. To slide under vehicles like this and make it easier to slide up the ramps and on the trailer. Similar to the car recovery skies.
TheTsunamijuan full width ramp or a tilt trailer would save lots of time
@@nx2269 definitely can in some situations. But when your on a budget, or traveling lite for weight concerns. It can be another story. I have found that off road situations the indiviual ramps can be quite helpful at times. Since you might be on uneven ground. Or just pulling ramps off to use as a traction aid.
Matt's the kind of guy that never brings extra gear and somehow always makes it work. Me on the other hand, I buy everything and don't know how to use any of it.
@@Trekker326 very true. Thats one of the things my last job helped me learn as an employee/management. When spending money on stuff really benefits a business, or if the cost outweighs the time and benefits. I've always been pretty resourceful. But when time to complete a task is also critical. It makes you approach the problems differently.
Thanks for all your videos, I really enjoy them.
Another fabulous video production.
Thank you.
It's great to see Ed back on the hunt with y'all!
There's so many nice views and off road activities to do in Utah! Love it
Ed so glad you could join them on this call you always make a good video even better
You guys should do a kids story book! Remember Curious George and the man in the yellow hat?
Matt in his yellow Jeep. Its got all the makings of a kids story book, full cast of characters, trucks, dogs, family. Its perfect.
Thanks for keeping the dunes reck free and debris free. as for the gifts, wow !
It’s really good to see Ed on the job, keep him working.
Thank you for your content and much love to good old boy Ed
Probably will see you next week. Always here for the support!
I don't know if Randy is getting paid or volunteering, but that guy deserves a bunch of fan mail too. By what I've binged so far, he has been there from the beginning and recorded some great recoveries at all hours of the day and night and always seems to be in a good mood. Oh and Jefe too.
Big Boy in Blue not pushing. Ed is working hard. Good job here!
That will be a fun reassembly/restoration project.
Those were two awesome gifts.

Another good episode! Totally loved the package delivery at the end!
I'm starting to recognize trails in a place I've never been! And I'm kinda wanting to go! If I do, I will definitely pack a present for Ed and stop in before I get my unit stuck or totalled! Haha! Love your channel! Be careful out there!
It always amazes me that no one wears work gloves. I've worked some manual labor jobs in farming and digging ditches, pulling pumps, roofing, and I've always protected my hands! How pleasant is it to have some of that shredded fiberglass under your skin?
Ed keeping you boys in line... Supervising... EDS great.
It’s nice to see you, Ed.
🙌
I love that music. My grandpa 💙 used to pick like that. R.I.P Ralph Keel.
We have sand rails and go to Glamis in CA. When have have an issue where a wheel or two are bent or damaged we'll go get a truck & trailer and then use something like a sled under the bad corner (toolbox lid, snow shovel, card board box). I even bought a couple old short snow boards and it works good to help slide it up. I've even tied the sled to the A arm and driven it back.
I also have been going to Glamis, Gordons Well and Buttercup for years. Helped many buggies limp back to camp. Sometimes it was a bitch but we succeeded every time.
@@karlschwaber7006 For sure, we go to all those areas too. When I had light weight VW buggies I would just take the wheel or suspension off and lean out of the car and use my body weight to counter balance and drive back on 3 wheels. That's part of the fun some times.
@Bryan Ryan Same here. Never needed help but I would call if I really had to. Just air down the F250 4x4 and could go anywhere I needed to get my toys out.
Gotta respect the old school after that its nothing but memories 💯
Neat picture and a lot of nice para cord things. That person does great drawing! The RZR was ready for the scrap heap!

I can’t believe how much sand hollow has changed since I started going there in 2008. Even with the craziness, it’s still one of my favorite places in the state.

Ed is definitely “old school”. He carries a knife, doesn’t need scissors to open a box. I bet he also has a handkerchief.
What is it with you “new schoolers”?
Are there people who don't carry a knife? It's literally the most important thing you can carry with you. It doesn't have to be impressive...... nobody cares.... but I can't imagine getting through a day without a knife of some sort.
devilselbow what, you’d rather have snot on your shirt sleeve 😆
Nate D for sure. I carry a Swiss Army knife and use something on it everyday. I’ve carried a pocket knife since the third grade.
Never leave home without a knife and bandanna, for years! I’m 71🤠
Oxxnarr D'flame Hey! I resemble that remark🤠😂
8:00 I seen those tires and first thought , Those Rims Handled it , No cracks .
Nice view of the lake and mountains
Para cord is awesome! Would love to have one seeing my two favorite color combinations is black and yellow. Hopefully you'll have one left when we head to Vegas in October or November, but I doubt you'll have any left. They will go quick.
