Matt was able to get it moved to a slightly better position, and after lowering the tire pressure, was able to get it turned around and headed toward home.

People of Utah: please keep finding inventive ways to become stuck off-road. Helps keep a great family business on the go, and most important of all, keeps a few hundred thousand people entertained. Still one of my fave channels.

Instead of risking life and machine, he called in the specialists 👍 No doubt he learnt a thing or two from the experience (thanks to Matt's brilliant manner) and can go forward enjoying his offroad machine with new knowledge.

In case anyone wants to turd on this customer for not being able to drive his own way out, turd on me instead. When I was 17 I slid into a ditch during a snow squall in my dad's old Peugeot. I was being super careful, it was like a magnet pulled me down the corner into the ditch. Zero traction. I happened to be about 200 feet from my sister's friend's house. I went inside, fretting like crazy, and while I was working up the courage to call my dad and ask what to do I saw the peugeot come up the driveway and park.
Her brother had just walked out and drove it out himself without saying anything. What did you do!? I drove it out. How? I backed out.

That's why if you look around the vehicle you should find a sticker with the manufacturer's recommendations. Mine's on the frame just in front of the rear tire on my Virago, 29 front and 33 rear. They aren't always obvious, but if you look carefully it'll be there or on the end of a door near the latch or on the door frame so it's hidden when the door is closed and it's *never* the sidewall max pressure.

This video proves the value of professional experience. As Matt first moved that ArticCat it began to tip! Remember, every week Matt gets into a stuck vehicle of this type, and drives it out. Assume he as been doing this for twenty years, twice a week, and that means he has done it 2000 times!!! No customer has driven their side-by-side out of a stuck position more than a couple of times. Matt has, literally, 1000 times their experience. That is why it looks easy for him.

Matt.. there are a couple good sayings here. First is maybe good for Winder towing coffee mugs - "This is a steep one!." And the t shirt's - "whew!." "And " I wouldn't want to do it backwards"

LPT: iPhone’s have a bubble level / slope indicator built into the on-board measurement app. Will give you a slope measurement in degree’s. In case you didn’t know. Backcountry Access (BCA) also has a free app used to measure slope angle as part of an avalanche risk assessment.
Nice driving Matt, admire your calm, cool and collected approach to problem solving. Looking forward to the next ones.
