They were out having fun and the belt broke!
It’s fairly new and he didn’t have a spare with him.
Matt and the banana towed him out quite easily!
He did a good job keeping the Yankum rope tight.

That was my buddies “peeled” banana. Rolled it a long time ago and built a full cage. Good job on the recovery Matt as always. Hopefully you will never have to recover my buddies Jeep , that would be a sight for sure.

Ya, a lot of units fly a flag over their fob. We did it when I was there in 05 and 06. Dad still says the one I flew for him on camp Fallujah may 28th 2006 was the best birthday present he's ever gotten. He doesn't know it, but it meant a lot to be too haha.
Holy heck can Lady and Max run. Lady can keep Max in line all the while crossing under the tow rope, what a great girl. These pups have the life!

Another super recovery, love watching the dogs run. You really do live in God's country, the countryside is hypnotic, the rugged beauty draws you in. Love those drone shots. I am so envious that you live close to those sand dunes. Big sand requires big torque, there is no better engine than the stroke of a straight 6 to get the job done.

I've seen them water the dogs (don't remember which videos, sorry). What's funny and awkward is when they forget the bowl and do it with cupped hands. Dog looks up like "you had one job!"
I have seen many videos where they show the dogs getting water. (keep watching more videos) Matt takes really good care of Lady and Max

When I bought my Polaris, the first thing I did was buy a new belt and swapped it in. I kept every tool I used in the process, and the original belt. Those items are sealed up in the breakdown box. That way, if I ever break a belt out on the trail, I know I have everything I need to replace it.

@Mattsoffroadrecovery, that wind is no joke! You make it look way too easy! We were out there all day yesterday. We had to make a couple of adjustments to our route because the sand got too soft and “stacked up” out by the big trees. It was great to see you and Jaimie in the morning.

A spare belt is cheeper than a tow any day
Unfortunately most people who buy an utv can't change a belt themselves on a trail. I personally change the belt on my can am once a year in my garage but always carry a spare just incase. Tools are just part of the process whether I'm in the can am x3 or my 4 runner. The other thing is most buyers of a utv don't understand there is a break in process for a new utv like the x3. When they fail to follow that process belts break quick and often. Follow that process and they last for thousands of miles
If I were Matt, I would carry a belt for the common ones and change them at a premium!
@@nv350xcf there r now a ton of different brand utvs and models and none of them use the same belt. Not only that changing them requires special tools and if the customer doesn't carry their tools you will be in an impossible situation.
@@michaelr1760 you're not wrong but, there's a few common ones. Not to mention a lot are rentals so, same brand same model. Definitely a learning curve but it's not that difficult (your talking to a sledder and utver). Won't work in all situations but there's times where it looks more profitable.

The guy definitely knew how to keep the rope tight. Makes all the difference in the world.
Standard tool kit, decent tow rope, jump leads, Oh, and a spare belt. First lesson learned, never trust it 'cos its new.
you should carry extra belts & resale them & install them there easy to change out & u wont have to haul them

Interesting how the framerate of the camera and the speed of the wheels turning lined up just right @ 2:56 so it looked like the wheels were stationary (and sometimes every looked like they were going backward).
Apparently I just missed you, but I'm glad I didn't need you! I was up there with my son in my WK, and the wind blotted out the trail I was trying to follow to find my way back to the staging area. I got off the trail a bit and almost go stuck in all the sand, just b4 that dune! Thanks for being there; even though I didn't need you It's good to know you're around.
I knew that guy was chasing you when I saw the Jeep in the background.
5, 15 minute rides with a hour or 2 of cooling in-between makes for a good broke in belt. Some people even just boil them ;)

I don't know much about these things......but I would not put a fire extinguisher on the dashboard on a bouncy vehicle and in direct sunlight - especially with the nozzle facing me!
