Towing a Polaris RZR, Ed rides in a Tesla, and Ed's new shirt

- So we got a call for a Polaris RZR that wouldn't start, on the back side of the dunes. We understood it would roll on it's own tires, so we left the trailer, and decided to flat tow. It towed out pretty easy.
Next we take Ed for a ride in a Tesla, to approve his t-shirt, with his quote from the end of "you took your Hyundai where". We then watch it being made, with Amanda and the crew at Power Image. We learn a little about the process of making custom t-shirts, and find out Matt should stay in the recovery business.

Everybody loves Ed. He's the Grandad you never had, he's the second chance Dad you lost several years ago, he's the bad ass Uncle with all the stories, he's the older Brother you always looked up to, he's the best friend everybody needs and he's the first one you ask about when something bad happens, "Is Ed Ok"?

And the interesting thing is Ed was living on the property when Matt acquired it and let Ed continue to stay and he got adopted. Matt is a very cool dude.

Guessing that is in the CVT? After the constant failures I hear about in CVTs in cars and side-by-sides I think I'm gonna steer clear of them as long as I can.
@@TheSteelTech The honda doesn't have a CVT. Get that one.
@@TheSteelTech unfortunately, as far as SxS are concerned, your only options would be Honda and Yamaha which have limited offerings. If they have what you're looking for though, they're both great options.
Why not use the other machine for the tow?

When I read "Ed finally gets a T-shirt" I was expecting Ed in a T-shirt (since he always wears button shirts.) I was surprised it was Ed on a t-shirt. I love Ed and don't know why he puts up with you.

I can't believe I never saw this video, I mean I started at the beginning and watched every one. I would definitely have remembered this one. Great video. Reminded me of when I was working (I'm retired). When I first started I had to build a part from scratch and 10-15 years later, I was running the machine that built the part. I just filled the hoppers. Progress. Watching Matt trying to take those shirts off had me rolling on the floor.

I dont know if Ed is family or a good old friend but that was a super classy move putting Ed on a T shirt. I love your channel , real people doing real work. When I first saw your channel I thought u were crazy using an xj as a recovery vehicle , now its one of my favorites, Its hilarious what u do with that old xj. I have 93 xj setup for camping.

I have been binge watching this for 2 days. You guys rock. The only thing I watch more is 2 and 1/2 men...but Ed makes up for that!
You should get a 1/2" rope for jobs like that it should be less jerky because it would have more stretch. Like at 7:49 it would probably have been more gentle.
@@MattsOffRoadRecovery and it would be lighter weight than the big rope. You have to keep the banana slim and trim so it'll float over the sand.

Have you ever thought about making a solid tow bar for flat pulling? My uncle made two of them and then each and it fits into a 2 inch receiver hitch or you can use it adapter for a smaller hitch but his first one he made it has almost like ball joints that he took from a three point tractor hitch linkage so it swivels and then he made a second one and he also put a swivel right in the middle so you can make really sharp turns and go up and down hills without having a problem.his first one was six feet long but even with the swivels on each end on a steep enough Hill when cresting it cause problems so he made it where it swivels and three different spots including the middle so you can pretty much go directly down a 90 degree incline well pulling and it won't hang up or put unnecessary pressure on either vehicle.he used category III for one and on the second one he used category IV so they are extremely strong and heavy-duty, you could pull a 1 ton truck without having to worry about it. He used to do vehicle recovery like yourself and when he had to run alone he got sick of people not knowing how to properly drive while flat towing so they would run over ropes etc,so this saved him a lot of headache and unnecessary repairs when people got there rope Tangled up in the wheels from running it over. A cat. IV linkage is for tractors 200 to 400 hp and can pull well over a 10 bottom plow so it would never break while flat towing. Just figured I would give you the idea and you never know it may work out perfect for you and in reality it's extremely cheap to make it.
