Executive Summary =>Try alternative stimulating therapies (Minox., PRP, LLLT, dermarolling), but know that these will not address underlying cause (DHT) - Finasteride (or dutasteride) are 5AR inhibitors which prevent conversion of Testosterone to DHT, and DHT miniaturises hair follicles and leads to predictable MPHL. - Finasteride has well-documented side effects, so some people prefer alternatives, such as stimulating therapy: Minoxidil, PRP, LLLT, dermarolling, but are not as effective as blocker therapy (Finasteride), which targets the underlying cause (DHT).
I am 47, took finasteride 10 years between 2003 and 2013, but too many side effects: sex drive, anxiety and depression whereas before nothing. I guess I still have issues with anxiety since: PFS… I just take Oral Minoxidil 2.5% for 1 year and stay NW3 Vertex… I am fine with that. Health is more important than hair!
I started finasteride after 3 weeks I noticed clear signs of gyno. I’ve started minoxidil and will start dermarolling. I know finasteride works for people but those side effects are no joke.
How's the minoxidil and dermarolling going? I too just got gyno from finasteride a couple months in and I'm switching to that regime now (and will potentially experiment with fin microdosing when gyno symptoms subside)
I started losing my hair when I was 16 and it didn’t really get any worse until I was 18 where my right hairline corner was just thinning pretty quickly which freaked me out but luckily for the past 5 months I’ve been using minoxidil and regained 95% of the hair that I lost.
Minoxidil doesn't stop or prevent hairloss. It just stimulates your hair to grow better and take longer to fall out. You need to take finasteride to prevent any more hair follicles from dying that Minoxidil will not do
Finasteride got me irreversible gyno, memory loss, brain fog, low libido, fatigue, listlessness, insomnia and anhedonia. I asked myself is this all worth it just for keeping my hair a little longer? (still slowly but steady receding despite taking it) i thought fuck that shit , frankly, im tired of shit and this upstream battle. Im want to move on concentrate on other aspects in my life. I will try to max out all the other things such as style, mindset, job, other facial appearance (teeth, beard etc). I buzzed my hair and fuck , it feels amazing. I finally feel like a normal person again. I can still go for the transplant route if i want to but right now im a happy mf
Between these guys, Derek from more plates more dates and Kevin Mann, I decided to start finasteride. 3x a week. Started taking half, so 0.5, each time to see if there was any sides from the drug and so far OK. Been doing that for 4 weeks. Going to up to 1mg 3x a week next week. Particularly Derek from mpmd was good because he approached it from a hormonal pov and I found it made my understanding of hormonal function more clear and how it could potentially be fixed manually even if there was that low chance of having "pfs". The fear of pfs was the only thing holding me back. All 3 are fantastic and I keep up with them regularly. Thanks. And good luck.
everything u said I concur with . mpmd and kevin mann have approached it from every angle and thus far I'm totally bought on fin being the best SAFE option for the vast vast vast majority of people
@Blitz War hi, mate. Yeah so was I. I think, at the end of the day, you've just got to go for it and see how it takes you. I can happily report I've had no side effects other than a slight decrease in semen load. My libido is fine and everything is going good. I'm 4 months in or so of 1mg 3 times a week with derma rolling once a week. Haven't seen any out of this world gains, but my thinning was very mild and I caught it early so, only time will tell if I grow back my crown to the same density as the rest. It certainly hasn't got any worse, that's for sure. Good luck man.
Could you also prepare a video or address the topic of 'Minoxidil + Finasteride topical solution' (5% Minoxidil with 0.1% Finasteride), would appreciate it, TIA!
I’ve read some papers that looked at the use of Botox to relax the scalp muscles. An interesting notion was made that up regulated DHT was caused by scalp tension leading to chronic inflammation which in turn increased DHT. By using Botox to relax the muscles the tension is relaxed which in turn reduces chronic inflammation in the scalp.
i have been on finasteride for a few years and my hair still kept thinning.. now i am taking dutasteride since a month and i can slowly see hair regrowth.. no side effects so far except a bit of decresed libido, but lets be honest women are only trouble and have caused me the most headache in my life, so to me this is not a bad side effect.
I was the same, but when I got on dutasteride I also experienced fat gain and extreme fatigue whenever I would try to cut weight… my body composition also changed, and I veery easily retain water… did you experience any of these side effects as well??
QQ: will the efficacy of finastride reduce faster if I take 1mg everyday than taking 1mg alternate day? If I alternate, will the efficacy duration double? What are your observations? Is body response linear?
what i don;t get is why is going in a pattern, if all those hairs are geentically programmed to be weak to DHT, why don't they atrophy at the same time as apposed to doing it in a pattern over number of years?
@@RAHULTMNT100 Yes, but your completey missing my point, if the hairs in the horseshoe are genetically susceptable, then why is it the ones at the back go 'after' the ones at the front or visa versa, surely if all the hairs had the same weakness they would all start to go at the same time, we don't see that at all, we see receding hairlines over many years first, or balding at the crown first, but very rarely do we see both at the same time, its likely the frontal hairlines which ar the first to go in about 90% of cases have an even greater weakness to DHT than the ones at the back, or just the slight increase in DHT over time and age is enough to swing the balance that leads to hairloss, that would probbaly explain why even with lose dose finasteride, most people retain their hair, as it would appear you only need a small decrease in DHT to have an effect
What do you guys think about mesotherapy in combination with dutasteride, both injected in the scalp. According to the doctor in the clinic here there will be no side effects (like impotente) because the dutasteride remains at the place of injection, what are your thoughts on this?
Took topical fin 0.1% and still had side effects (a bit less than with oral, but still had and decided to discontinue it). Before topical fin, tried the oral one. First 1mg, then 0.5mg. Now I'm only using minoxidil 5% 2x/day + ketoconazol 2% 2/3 times weekly.
You made the right decision, seriously. I developed full blown PFS after taking it without side effects for 18 months. And its been over 2 years, still dealing with it. I wish I had known of this or even had sides at first so I could have done what you did.
Like the Dr. said, there are many different solutions! I'm 32, have defuse thinning in my temples, don't wanna start Finasteride and Minoxidil (in the long terms you gonna spend the same amount of money of an hair transplant). I started use Revita's shampoo, conditioner and tablets, this 3 things together, even though they are not effective like finasteride, they can still be a good solid base for fighting your hair loss! My advice is, don't go directly for the extreme solutions like starting medication or go in a premature hair transplant, try every steps first! Don't be hasty! And is never too late to start something in case you wanna start.
I used Minoxidil only for 2 years. result isn't that bad, but I can style only short hair because the affected area doesn't fully grow. I tried Finasteride for a week, I got very bad side effects like feeling bore all day and lower sexual need. I felt like that wasn't me in terms of those emotional effects. So I stopped it right away. I think the best long-term solution is hair transplantation. What if I took hair transplantation but not taking Finasteride? I planned to transplant the hair by June, Thanks.
I just had a transplant and tried fin a few days ago but am already getting sides so plan to stop immediately. Part of me feels like the whole procedure was now a waste because I will end up losing the transplanted hair and more of my existing hair. I’m now looking into alternatives to fin but am not sure if they’ll have the desired effect or that’ll il be sold lies by snake oil salesmen
Yes, there is no cure for hair loss. The medications and drugs simply increase hair growth and stop DHT blockers until the efficacy of the drugs go away (usually within 5-10 years). After those years I guess people kind of have different responsibilities and simply just stop using it.
I have been on finasteride for 6 months and I am having shedding on my head hair but the surprise is in the second month I have noticed my right eyebrow is shedding too !! until this moment. the left eyebrow was fine until 2 months ago ..so what should I do? everyone is telling me what is wrong with your eyebrows!.
You go bald. Thats your other option... You have opened my eyes to how safe finasteride is in the right doses and timing. I have learned a lot and am thankful for the insight you have given us. 1mg 3 times a week
Yeah I started 1mg 3x about two weeks ago and just downgraded slightly to 0.5mg 5x/wk and I feel a little better and it's almost the same dose anyway. I think the more frequent use helps my hormones stay more balanced rather than spiking the blocking so much 3x a week.
@@tagada7 it baffles me how SMP still in farout most cases looks so bad. The problem is not the method, but rather that somehow a lot of tattoo artists do not understand how natural shaved hair looks like. Unlike real hair, in most of these cases the edges are too sharp, too straight in shapes and the density of the stubbles is too high in the areas close to the skin. Just like the in natural hair the hairline only has single grafts, the hairline of the tattoo should also contain a fluent transition from bald forehead to stubble. They should take a good look at pictures of men with hair that shaved their heads and check out how that looks like.
I have taken finasteride for just shy of a decade. I started balding at fifteen and was a nw3 at 18. And by the time of 23 I had noticing diffusing through out of my scalp. Doctor I was talking finasteride and minoxidil for 8 months even though it slowed down hairloss I was still loosing healthy hairs so I stopped finasteride and took dutasteride it caused severe shedding which lasted more than 9 months so I stopped dutasteride and went back to finasteride. Does increase in testosterone caused severe shedding my libido increased while on dutasteride. Should I give dutasteride another try or continue taking finasteride? plzz answer me!
I’m just wondering- if you stop taking finasteride does the rate of hairloss just resume OR does it accelerate to *where it would have been* if you didn’t take finasteride?
Hi Dokter, I am busy with a hair loss regiment which includes finasteride (10 months) , minoxidil (8 months), dermaroller (6 months) , and I have to say from where I started it has made quite a difference, I actually shaved my head to help with the treatment, but I can definitely feel alot more hairs , especially on my front part of my head, and they are thickening every month, however they don't seem yet to pigment, they still seem like some kind of vellus hair , but alot thicker, so my question is that , is it probable that these hairs will be replaced by terminal hairs soon and become pigmented, like I said I can feel a massive difference in thickness and quantity of hairs but they are not yet that visible, hope to hear from you soon. Kind regards Roelof van Tonder
Once a hair follicle becomes vellus, it is extremely unlikely that it will ever be normal again no matter the medication regiment. After about a year, you hit a plateau and the only further progression to make is from a hair transplant.
You lose hair because your hair are sensitive to DHT, not because your DHT is too high. If you are not prone to male pattern hairloss you can have insanely high DHT and keep all your hair.
@saddam Hussain you just see all his video.....you will get my point.... being a doctor he should help patients....he only shows great impression in his video like ( peace on earth)but he does not have any kind on knowledge in his video....if you want to know great indian dermatologist then follow Dhananjay chauhan he is good and trustful also.....
@ Saddam Hussain......and there are many cause on hair loss but i think so 160 is very big amount of number.....40 to 60 cause are acceptable but not so much....in this less amount of number it is also defficult the cause of male pattern hair baldness
I just stopped taking finasteride after 8 years ! It definitely helped slow my hair loss, but now after very apparent labido & ED issues I had to stop ! Now for the first time in as king as I can remember I'm waking up with morning good glory again and my erections are full again !
@@mohammedazzan7529 they started after a couple weeks probably. Erectile dysfunction and low sex drive. Lasted for as long as I kept taking the medicine which was like 5 years. Things went back to normal after a week or two from stopping
So when you say finasteride is going to give you a better chance in holding your hairs are you talking about the hairs that you currently have on top to the crown? and does that include the Transplanted Hair's or is the Transplanted Hair's excluded from the original native hair's????
I've just started taking finasteride but I'm.more worried about its affects on DHEA. I have autoimmune conditions so I'm worried about how It affects that. I've read online that it does, do you have any knowledge of this ?
Hello Doctor, Does the characteristics of fallen hair indicate anything. I mean sometimes I get to see that the fallen hair has got white bulb on top and sometimes nothing (totally plan hair). Does this indicate anything. Because some doctors are claiming that if the fallen hair has white bulb then it's because androgenic alopecia if not then its vit deficiency is that true. Can you please throw some lights on this topic.
Dr. Vikram, can I maintain my hair thickness and hairline if I take PRP on a regular basis without taking Finasteride as well? I would also like to ask what are your thoughts on Activated PRP, Photoactivated PRP, Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF), and also PRP + ACell (or any other Extra-cellular Matrix) in conjunction with Vitamin D? Do these PRP spinoffs increase the effectiveness of the treatment, such as resulting in higher hair counts, hair diameter, reduced shedding or lower treatment frequencies? I am planning on starting treatment so I would really appreciate it if you address the first question.
Did u get your answer ? I am also considering prp and acell … just costs too much (I am not respecting a miracle but atleast something should be worth it ) . Pls update me
@@zibtihaj3213 I started Activated PRP. I've got good results to far, doctor says that androgenetic alopecia has been contained. But I also took nonprescription concoctions, both topical and oral, so don't take my word for it.
Hey doc. I spoke to a doctor here in New Zealand about hair loss and he prescribed me fin. The only thing is he said “I’ll keep your prescription in my top drawer for 3 months because I want you to try minoxidil first”. He isn’t keen on me having it so now I have to wait. Is it also true that if I “make love” without a condom on fin then my partner could have serious damage as fin is in the sperm?

I would like to apply minoxidil after having a shower, towelling it and then combing my hair back so that it's easier to apply. When I apply it on dry hair I can't part my hair as well. Is that okay? Will it reduce the absorption if I leave it to air dry after that? Please let me know
My hair became thicker when i was taking finastaride, but it was effecting my mental health so i stopped it. Should i try dutasteride or will it have the same effect like finastaride?
Is it possible that post-finasteride syndrome is confused with the long time the drug remains on the skin? It is said that a simple dose of 1mg can remain on the skin for at least 30 days, so daily intake would lead to an over-accumulation in the body. In addition, it takes 3-6 months for the body to rid itself of the drug.

does finasteride cause genital shrinkage? Is there any definitive answer to this?? I find nothing but conflicting results online, I have refused to take finasteride for years over the possibility of this and the amount of lawsuits claiming this can happen. I wish I could just get a real answer, or maybe it's just not known.
If you have passed puberty, It doesn’t cause genital shrinkage physically however it can cause lower libido and affect your erection strength. This means your penis is not literally shrinking or when it is flaccid, however when it becomes erect it may seem weaker and shorter. This isn’t genital shrinkage, this is erectile dysfunction. This is a side effect, so not everyone will get it, take at your own risk

Hi, I have been using Minoxidil for 6 months now, and I'm experiencing a severe shed; I would argue its worse than the original shed when first started using minoxidil. I use Finasteride every other day and have done for 3 months or so now. Do you have any idea why this 6 month shed might be happening, and is it something I should be worried about?
It's finally working. Shedding on minoxidil is usually a sign it's working. Maybe it took that amount of time for your body to really react to it. It's been a month, have you regrown the shed hair?
My Turskish doctors forbade using finesteride or minoxidil after my hair transplant. They gave some spray and pills, but Im afraid its because they want to sell...
Hey guys i hate this finasteride. Im only 19 and tried for a year, messed up my libido, caused lots of anxiety and hormonally messed me up. What else can i do, because that is not a route for me.

My brother, mine started at 16 too, my advice would be NOT to use Minoxidil at this young age, if your hair loss is not too aggressive. If your symptoms are mild, try only having mesotherapy and prp treatments. I used Minoxidilin for a long period of time and then stopped using it after like 8-9 months. Minoxidilin kind of slowed my hair loss down, but stopping using it enhanced it on every single part of my scalp. Use minoxidilin if you are going to use it for a lifetime. Restart finasteride I get the same thing regrow and good hair but only for 3 months again, ...... the question ... does the effectiveness of finasteride stop working after the body overpowers the dht blocker producing more of the enzyme to keep its balance ? Can I try some thing different since I do experience great results in the beginning of the process..... have you had any patients with this issue ? ...
Hey Doc, I was considering using finasteride topically instead of orallly because I saw a study that showed doing so would lead to higher scalp DHT reduction and lower systemic reduction. I watched your video on it, but don't think you mention a recommended dosage rate. Would you still recommend 3 days a week as the dosage for topical finasteride? Since the half life for fin in tissue is 30 days it would make sense, right? If it has similar effectiveness I would feel more comfortable taking finasteride topically. Oh, also, thanks for all the great info! I've been loving your channel since I first noticed I was balding.
@@masternoremac3738 Thank you, i'm glad to hear it works when applied at that rate. That's unfortunate about the slight libido loss, but presumably its better than if you were to ingest the pills. What concentration of topical are you using? Or are you making your own?
@@masternoremac3738 Oh, that's a great source, thanks! I think i'll try to make my own because I already have pills and I want a lower concentration so I can have more volume so I can get full scalp coverage. Although, I assume the finasteride would spread throughout the scalp anyway.
It's not about not wanting it. I just can't take it. Even with 0.25 mg daily this thing completely change my mood. I was angry, many times confused, etc. My tinnitus got much worse as well ( I know weird, but when I stopped fin , it went back to its original state so the med caused it). @@tagada7 I thought in one of their videos the white dude said that if you stop for 90 days then it's completely out of your system.... so that would imply that it's still in there for 90 days (although probably not at a high enough concentration to do anything)
I remember that as well. I also remember they said that stopping finasteride for 3 weeks is more than enough for conceiving safely. They said that you need like 20 buckets of sperm to get a high enough concentration of finasteride to cause potential birth defects. Executive Summary
=>Try alternative stimulating therapies (Minox., PRP, LLLT, dermarolling), but know that these will not address underlying cause (DHT)
- Finasteride (or dutasteride) are 5AR inhibitors which prevent conversion of Testosterone to DHT, and DHT miniaturises hair follicles and leads to predictable MPHL.
Has PFS improved??

Going to up to 1mg 3x a week next week.
Particularly Derek from mpmd was good because he approached it from a hormonal pov and I found it made my understanding of hormonal function more clear and how it could potentially be fixed manually even if there was that low chance of having "pfs".

It's been a year and hope you got your answer about taking 1mg dose daily or on alternate data. What was the result?
what i don;t get is why is going in a pattern, if all those hairs are geentically programmed to be weak to DHT, why don't they atrophy at the same time as apposed to doing it in a pattern over number of years?
not all the hairs are susceptible to dht. only the ones on certain areas. this explains the pattern
What blood work do you recommend people have before they consider finasteride? T Levela, Free T, Estrogen etc?

I started use Revita's shampoo, conditioner and tablets, this 3 things together, even though they are not effective like finasteride, they can still be a good solid base for fighting your hair loss! My advice is, don't go directly for the extreme solutions like starting medication or go in a premature hair transplant, try every steps first! Don't be hasty! And is never too late to start something in case you wanna start.
After transplant you’ll have to use finasteride anyway. Try the topical solution until it’s not too late
I used Minoxidil only for 2 years. result isn't that bad, but I can style only short hair because the affected area doesn't fully grow.

What happens when finasteride stops working? Are we eventually doomed/have to get hair transplant surgeries?
Yes, there is no cure for hair loss. The medications and drugs simply increase hair growth and stop DHT blockers until the efficacy of the drugs go away (usually within 5-10 years). After those years I guess people kind of have different responsibilities and simply just stop using it.

Just like the in natural hair the hairline only has single grafts, the hairline of the tattoo should also contain a fluent transition from bald forehead to stubble.

Well, wait until it gets worse to a point when you should shave your head. Or mabye you get lucky and won't go completely bald. Other treatments can't do much. I'm sorry, that's how it is.
Please sir make a session on
Hair serum....like procapil...capaxyl...bicapil
my hair become be thinning on my crown area. And I have no hair fall, can I take finastreride ...
how do i know if i have to/ need to take Finasteride? how do i know if i am in the beginning stages of male pattern baldness?
After a while of losing hair you can notice your hair is a little bit thinner i guess that's the best way to find out also another way is to ask anyone who is bald in your family especially your father , Uncles from mother's side , that at what age they started losing hair because more likely it will be the same for you
I have used minoxidil for one month it started shedding a lot i know about initial shedding phase i was afraid so i don't want to continue..can that shedded hair due to minoxidil will regrow without using minoxidil further or that lost hair was lost?
Lost hair is lost, better use finasteride..this coming from me who has used minoxidil twice and stopped and woraened hair loss
What should you doWhen you start taking finasteride and develop sensitive nipples as a male should you continue taking the medication
I'm 21 and can I use it, if suggest me a best time period to take it
I'm looking for growth on my hairline and I have bought minoxidil ,finasteride and dermaroller, so what my question is
1) is there a chance that I will have growth in this area?
2)if yes, then do you still recommend 1mg fin 3 times a week?
I'm 24 and currently I'm not suffering from hair loss but I was 6 months before and i want to take this medicine only for the sole purpose of growth and to improve my hair condition as they don't feel the same as they used to before.
How did you have hair loss 6 months ago but not now? What solved it?
@@PowerRedBullTypology well, my hairloss wasn't aggressive but yes my hairline is receded because of it and also quality of my hair was not good because of which I decided to shave it off, as of now i don't have major hairloss problem I loose about 4-5 hair per day.
@@Finguy247 how do you keep track of how many hair per day you loose? I mean, some hair just tends to fall down on the ground, right?

@@PowerRedBullTypology and also I would like to add that I have tried finasteride after asking this question, and I got depressed and my cognitive ability decreased considerably just after 2 pills currently I'm on minoxidil if things don't improve I'll give finasteride another shot
I got my hair transplant done, can i stick with prp and minoxidil. Will it be a replacement for finestride?
How is your hair . Taking finasteride or not
What is the best oil to use on hair?
John Milano Jr. thank you very much for the detailed reply
John Milano Jr. What do you advise for someone in their early 20’s suffering from hair loss?
John Milano Jr. Dr. John, thank you so much for clarifying so many misconceptions we get from the internet. I have a few questions if you dont mind me:
1- does switching finasteride brands from A to B after using A for several months will have a negative result?
2- how to know I’m a suitable candidate for finasteride ? Is being healthy and exercise daily had to do with minimizing the side effects?
3- I started using minoxidil for 5.5 months once a day with no side effects and some major improvements in hair density at the first 4 months and now i see some shedding in the temples, is that a sign that minoxidil stopped working ?
John Milano Jr. thank you so much Dr John for the clarifications, i will discuss my issue with a physician. Thanks again 🙏🏽
I do not have a lot of androgen in my body, even my testicles are a little smaller than average, but my hair is sensitive to a small amount of hormones, and after a year of using finsteride, my testicles ached.i'm using minoxidil for4/5 years and i use dermapen once per week(1/5mm),but still i have hairloss because i don't use dhtblocker. I really do not know what to do Can anyone help?

Im using fin 1mg for 16 months with minoxidil...i can say that my hairloss have been decreased. No regrowth at all. But i can see increased hairloss some times. I can say that my hair is better now than before 16 months. There are incresd hair fall some times i think its becz im having some kind of hormone spike
Has the dingalin decreased as well?
Hi what if Dutasteride 0.5mg looses effectivnes over time (7 years if use) ? Combine Topical Finasteride to it?
My actual protocol:
- 0.5mg Dutasteride (daily)
- 10% Minoxidil
- Ketoconazole Shampoo 2-3x per week
- and I added RU58841 5% - daily (started only 2 months ago and shedding a lot)
What can I add here?
PS: I have the agressive form of
mpb as it started as a 16yr old I‘m 25 now and keeping up the good fight but slowly loosing ground.

Hi, I've been getting some side effects from finasteride, if I decrease the frequency, would I no longer get the side effects?
I've only been taking it for around 14 days now.
Stop until sides go away and restart usage with lower dose. Probably 0,5mg 3 times a week is a sweet spot for you now to start.
@@Taptapfail I'm 18, so I don't think 0.5 will be enough.
Jango Man 0.5 is enough, its actually more than enough and you can find plenty of people who will agree with that
Jango Man also how has it been going for you? I am 19 and i want to start taking it
Please can you tell me , can I apply Minoxidil to the front of my hairline after hair transplant and in the future
I do the same
why would you expose yourself to unnecessary pharmaceutical intervention
Haven’t ever tried finasteride or any other type of hair loss prevention but contemplating staring. However do you recon it’s worth the potential side effects seeing I’m already 38 and only experience some mild temple recession and defuse thinning on the hairline?
try Alfatradiol
Summary:
- Finasteride (or dutasteride) are 5AR inhibitors which prevent conversion of Testosterone to DHT, and DHT miniaturises hair follicles and leads to predictable MPHL

Is it possible to still go bald while taking finasteride? Been taking it nearly 2 years now and I think my hair is still slowly falling out, it may have slowed it down big time I don’t know but it is still falling out
Well it's normal hair to fall, even to people that don't have baldness. Go to the doctor, the best thing you can do.
hello dr vikram
sir i want to start finasteride as i'm experiencing hair loss at the crown , i am almost 50 yrs old and i want to know if i need to do some hormone tests before i start on finasteride ? Tests like Free Testosterone , Estrogen , or and even test for hypogonadism ?
considering that at my age it might be a preventative measure and also a good idea to know my Baseline value numbers before i start with finasteride . so incase i get some complications with the side effects we can know what my baseline values were like before the start of finasteride therapy ?
need your kind guidance on the above question , please advice

Is it fine using 1mg finasteride in one week so that there are no chance of side effect using it?
1mg per week will be pretty pointless to be honest u might as well not take it
Sir i am using finasteride since 6 months but can i switch to dutasteride as i m not getting the adequate results out of that. Though i am experiencing a lesser hair fall, but at this point of time my crown visibility is much more & its depressing me a lot. So only thing i want is a better hair count.Plz reply sir
Are u still on finasteride now? Did it improve since u were last here?
@@Pandapls Firstly when i started using finasteride with minoxidil it showed some positive results of slowing down after some initial losses. But now currently i am facing same old problm. @@ankursanga4829 Hi brother. Currently my hair density is much lower than before also facing some hair losses too but that in a less quantity than before. Question: is it normal to have a receding hairline at 16 😢
Im really sorry man, this just means u have very aggressive dht. Wait a few years and get on finasteride as soon as you can. Hopefully youll save your hair. Also, start saving money from now, one day youll have enough to decide on a transplant. Good luck man, i feel for you
My brother, mine started at 16 too, my advice would be NOT to use Minoxidil at this young age, if your hair loss is not too aggressive. Don't make the mistakes that I've made. Goodluck
TOPICAL FINESTRIDE seems to be a verry good options because of highly reduced side effects this a a topic which would be great if it was covered by you. BTW great work
Hey, did you try it? Where do you get it from?
It’s been covered in another video
It goes systemic just like oral, I will try microdosing it though.
@@The-Esoteric-One what about the liposomal ones? They seem to not go systematic as much?
@@trevor2256303 Haven't tried those. Mine I ued that went systemic and gave me side effects says "with lipids" but not sure if that's the same thing.
i took finasteride for about 5 years but quit in January this year because it practically destroyed my libido. when i quit i literally felt like i was choosing between having hair, or having a sex life. right after that i started using minoxidil. after a few months on that i quit because the minoxidil was giving me raccoon eyes ... dark hair was growing around my eyes. so now i'm taking Spectral DNC-N with nanoxidil. not sure if it's working but there are no side-effects, and thus far my hair loss doesn't seem to be getting worse. am also considering one of those laser light helmets.
So you didn’t really have a sex life for 5 years?
@thebeardedseeker did you libido improved since 7 months ? I am planniing to stop it after 7 years of using, but scary if the things go worse after stop
Hows the dingalin now?
I have a question about finasteride effectiveness, for me finasteride works amazing for the first 6 monts , I go trough a shed right away and 3 month’s later hair regrows like crazy, perfect but the after 3 months with good hair all the new hair starts falling, if I keep using finasteride it doesn’t work, I just remain the same, however if I go off it for a month or 2, then. Restart finasteride I get the same thing regrow and good hair but only for 3 months again, ...... the question ... does the effectiveness of finasteride stop working after the body overpowers the dht blocker producing more of the enzyme to keep its balance ? Can I try some thing different since I do experience great results in the beginning of the process..... have you had any patients with this issue ? ...
update ?
From yesterday i started finasteride and minoxidil 😊
I recently did prp to my hair should I stop finasteride ?
I use topical every other day any seems to do the trick. Still notice slightly less libido.
@@masternoremac3738 Thank you, i'm glad to hear it works when applied at that rate. That's unfortunate about the slight libido loss, but presumably its better than if you were to ingest the pills.
What concentration of topical are you using? Or are you making your own?
@@brometheus4621 I buy mine off minoxidil max. Its called essegen F. I won't take oral finasteride for many reasons than just what they tell you.
@@masternoremac3738 Hi there, looking to buy topical finasteride too. How long did it take to work? Do have any photos?
@@masternoremac3738 Oh, that's a great source, thanks! I think i'll try to make my own because I already have pills and I want a lower concentration so I can have more volume so I can get full scalp coverage. Although, I assume the finasteride would spread throughout the scalp anyway.
It's not about not wanting it. I just can't take it. Even with 0.25 mg daily this thing completely change my mood. I was angry, many times confused, etc. My tinnitus got much worse as well ( I know weird, but when I stopped fin , it went back to its original state so the med caused it). Unfortunately, unless you have many transplants done by a skilled doctor, you will lose your hair eventually.
You only need 1 hair transplant. 😂
Can use of finasteride be discontinued after few months?
@@tagada7 I thought in one of their videos the white dude said that if you stop for 90 days then it's completely out of your system.... so that would imply that it's still in there for 90 days (although probably not at a high enough concentration to do anything)
I remember that as well. I also remember they said that stopping finasteride for 3 weeks is more than enough for conceiving safely.
They said that you need like 20 buckets of sperm to get a high enough concentration of finasteride to cause potential birth defects. So it sounds to me that you can use finasteride and conceive the same day without problems
I've been on Dutasteride and Ketoconazole 2% since August 2019 but my hair still falls out, may 10-30 each days. Is that normal?
