I dont need finasterid to have low libido, bad erection or depression... it all happens from time to time naturally, it all happens in our mind.. when im really stressed out, i nearly lose my morning wood, no drive for sex and so on.. but then there are times when i eat well, doing a lot of sports etc and i feel great again... my doc said the same... people feel bad and suddenly its always the fault of finasterid... im pretty sure that people stress out to mouch about this drug... i will hop on finasterid after my hairtransplant in 2 weeks..i have no fear at all, im in the shape of my life, im eating super clean, 10k steps every day and weightlifting..
Eating clean, exercise etc doesn't do anything, if you get sides you'll get it regardless. I had the same mentality as you big I get bad side effects, I know 3 of my friends who have also had side effects from it, it's higher than what the pharmaceutical companies want you to believe, probs more like 10percent of all people, but still good chance you'll be fine. In the end I couldn't hack the sides and also ended up not liking the reduced possibility of fertility as me and my partner looking to have kids soon. Good luck
Biggest problem with strip is the diminishing number of surgeons who can do it well. The only way I see this changing is with more people in the hair loss community talking about the benefits and educating patients so that more patients demand it. I had a large FUT/FUE combo session earlier this year. Most of the grafts came from the strip and I still have plenty more left because of this approach. It makes a huge difference.
I did transplants without any drugs, no minox or finasteride. I went to top surgeons in USA and did transplants at 35 and am now 40. Had two of them. Would not recommend transplants if you have aggressive balding in your twenties. Just accept being bald is a easier. I did both strip and fue. The strip should be done first, but I did all fue after that as I wanted to cut the hair short and leave a thinning crown as I got older. Planning is very important.
I believe according to studies, 1 fut + 1 fue yields on average 3000 more grafts vs 2 fue's. Give it or take it 3000 grafts means from norwood 3 to norwood 1, or from 5 to 3 etc, give it or take it covers 2 scales. Thats a lot.
All mental? I've been on it for 15 years but it has sides. The sides are put on the drug package insert by the manufacturer FFS. Telling people it's mental is just ridiculous.
@@davidomeara4704 i get it , but if it was THAT dangerous you wouldn't have been able to be on it for that long plus i think for the benefits it gave you , you don't even care that much😂
Had 3 strips and 1 fue to refine the end result and approx 3000 grafts are still available being conservative... so agree with you that FUE will use up your reserves much faster.. without leaving anything in the bank for later if needed.
Hi, Have anybody had any experience of taking shorter breaks from Finastride to " Clean " the system. I haeard of 2-3 weeks? Any experience and any upside from taking a break? How long should the break be to minimize the hairloss? Second question is dosing. I am now on daily 0.5 compared to common practise of 1, experince in dosage and effect on hair loss?
Did either of you get your donor area measured? If given a choice do you think that would be beneficial? Would you choose a lesser experienced surgeon vs more experienced if they measured donor area?
I strongly disagree with 0:42 (FUT being better option for people not taking finasteride) - This IMO is terrible advice, if you won't take finasteride then you will likely at some point have to shave it, and it's very difficult to conceal that scar on a shaved head, even FUE into the scar/SMP doesn't fully conceal it. I think if you refuse to take finasteride and HAVE to get a transplant (for some reason) then go with 1 FUE (and no more, obviously) and atleast the after effects of the transplant won't be as blatantly visible once you have to shave it
@@pasta8470 agree. We didn’t get into this issue sufficiently but as I mentioned in the vid, the solution is to “go small” with FUE in such case and anybody considering high fades or shaving his head in the future, the FUT will be an issue and a potential strip scar will have to be dealt with.
Don't get a hair transplant either way if you don't want to take fin and fight it. Mr rolandas donor looks terrible and he got FUE so FUE isn't like a miracle for people who shave their head, it can even look worse than an SMPed FUT
My mate at work had an Strip transplant and has been left with a few sparse hairs in a v shape at the front of his scalp and a very prominent scar at the lower bottom of the back of his scalp whether he shaves it or it grows a bit of length. Other than that he’s a Norwood 6
As a student and aspiring academic my main priority (even more than looks and sexual functions) is mental clarity and cognitive abilities. I haven’t notice any side effect on saw palmetto but I’m afraid to jump on the fin bandwagon. Especially since brain fog seems very common with fin users
My advice Take Finasteride once a week or twice a month This way your dht will never go to zero And wont go crazy over the threshold that cause hair loss ;) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
@@SeanOCallaghan0106 is it worth? Did you see any side effects? I have stopped seeing results from Minoxidil, so thinking about hopping on finasteride.
Finesteride is not a magic pill. It will pause your hair loss by suppressing your DHT, and Minidoxil will stimulate the hair you already have. Both have sides to some extent, although finesteride is far worse. As soon as you stop taking medication, your hair will revert to its natural state within 18 months. Its a individial choice to have treatment, but like anything else, start early if needed. The last stage would be a hair transplant. Contuning the medicine can be challenging. Most guys i have known have tapped out and shaved their heads. They feel 100% better and dont have some funky strange hairline or stress maintaining their hair A beard and gym will be your friend
I'd say it depends on your donor area capacity, hair characteristics and the final Norwood stage you're predisposed to hit. If your family hair loss history end on Norwood 5 or 6 maximum, and you have a great donor area and some good hair characteristics (low skin contrast, for example), you can end well without medications and with multiple successful HTs. Sure, some compromises will have to made (you'd have to be willing to do multiples quality HTs, so spend a lot of money and time, make some compromises about density, maybe add SMP), but, in some cases, it can be ok to go for HTs withtout medication, especially if your hair loss is slow. Of course, if u're NW4 at 20, with everyone being NW7 in your family, and a poor donor area, it's a bad idea to do HT without fin...
Everyone is different bro, ppl have different priorities plus it’s not about having hair for women, for some it’s just for confidence in public places and to feel younger
If bald was better it wouldn’t be such a big and growing industry. Most men with hair should also just shave it of course exceptions to the rule but the vast majority don’t
It's not about women it's about having the style that you personally like. Most women don't care much about looks, they care more about a man's attitude, money and resources.......oh and if you are tall enough.....that's about it.
