It’s not true that there’s no studies showing promise with Saw Palmetto. There’s evidence of it thickening hair, increasing growth rate and density, etc. just not as well as finasteride. I actually get worse sides from saw palmetto+fin than I do if I’m just taking fin.

Hey docs, was wondering about the two 10 year studies on finasteride. It seems, if I'm understanding it correctly, that they saw MORE growth/regrowth in the 5-10 year period. I thought fin would gradually stop working or that you would see the "final" results in the first couple of years, but the studies seem to say otherwise.
If it remains in the scalp for 30 days, then what’s the point of drinking every day or every other day..? I drank once every 2 weeks and that’s it, no?
No, because your body will continue to produce the enzyme. You have to find a dose that inhibts enough of 5a redutase to convert T to DHT. That varies by person. Most cases 0.5mg every other day will sufice. I've tried less and it started to lose its effectiviness.

So i think i can give you accurate Informationen because i was using minoxidil for 10 years twice a day topical ( never missed a day). It's true that it ages your skin by blocking collagen production and it also makes the skin kind of dry and unelastic. For me the visible effects on skin quality were only noticeable on the forehead. Because in my experience minoxidil does only inhibit collagen production in close proximity to where you apply it. Never had any skin issues on the bottom half of my face. And also when you stop minoxidil you get your normal skin texture back because the loss of collagen is not permanent. Your body will start building back the collagen that ou have lost so no worries that you will look years older after you have stopped taking it. But also be prepared because the effects on your skin can be really noticable while you are on the medication. I've finally stopped taking minoxidil last year because after taking it so long i think i've developed some kind of tollerance to it so for me it stopped working even with higher dosage and micro needling. Not seen significant hair loss after i've stopped because i've started PRP last year (also on fin for 5 years now)
