The Finegold-Williams rivalry finally being laid to rest?

  • @mno7pro323

    Great stuff

  • @delboy9234

Thought this was going to be a backhanded compliment to Simon, based on the title, but Ben's praise was genuine.

One of my favorite things about Simon, is his ability to simplify the explanation of positions in chess. He's one of the best I have seen at this, per my own ability to understand.

  • @etopowertwon

GingerGM was the reason my interest in chess got reignited as Simon plays fun chess with his aggressive play style.

I love how Simon is a great player from the past, thank you for the video. Your humor is the best

Williams was a tactical whirlwind on the board in the 19th century. Morphy spoke very highly of him, and it is said Mikhail Tal was inspired by him!

You have a higher peak and a bigger fall from it.

Thanks Ben. I'm sure Simon appreciates what you are doing here. At the end of the day we all have different styles, which is what makes chess great to watch.

Ben, lecture was amazing, I watch a lot of Simon's Titled Tuesdays replays. Sometimes he rage quits 😂; however, because he's such a dynamic player regularly beats the super GM's and has great results. His signature really is piece activity and dynamic play at all cost which simply overwhelms players not ready for it. Anyway thanks for the great content.

I learned a lot from Simon's Jobava London course - highly recommend! Huge fan of your videos too Ben, I think I've watched probably nearly everything you have on UA-cam. Thank you for your massive contributions to the community.

I like when Ben taps his foot and it jiggles his chair

  • @path6641

I think Simon Williams is one of the most likable GM's out there. I also enjoy his aggressive risk taking style when he plays that way

  • @emranahmed5711

Simon has exceptional capabilities to simplify any complicated positions. He is such a guy who looks lively & lovely always.

About 10 years ago at the British championships, I saw this great player of the past, drunk out his mind at 2am pissing in a betting shop doorway and then collapsing into his own piss 😂
