The wiki has been updated to specify the US Chess Hall of Fame
Ben's lecture preambles are top-notch. The fuller the beard, the fuller the preamble.
Yeah, you are so right, indeed: former times of chess, before the chess computers were developed, were so much more exciting than today!!! That's what younger people probably cannot imagine!
Go Ben!!

"Now, Kavalek, unlike the players today - who are total wusses"
I guess someone, somewhere, on the internet, has made a list of all your quotes, both jokes and general chess rules, I can't believe I'll be the pioneer, Google will tell.
Great Beards of the Past.
very interesting!
The games of Kavalek remind me of those of GM Tiger Hillarp Persson who would often sacrifice his queen in similar fashion..most of the times due to positional trouble😂
My answer was Always Retreat every time but it was actually Always Sac the Exchange 😢
Is montreal 79 where tal won the speed chess tournament?
instead of perpetual in game 3 what if rd4+ winning the bishop? Then keep your king on dark squares to avoid forks with the queen
Ben was 9 !!!
1:30 chess players are the alpha for sure
