I've never found a VTT like tool that really worked for me. The higher fidelity approach to map making means there's a lot less room for imagined detail. Even things like the tone of a granite, whether it's roughly hewn or flagstones/cobble, great ceramic tiles etc. I kind of just wish they had an option built on the classic two-color graph maps with the option of color coding rooms.
I love this! I bought the game to build the towns that i describe in my book, while i'm doing that the inspo flows so much faster. This game is such a game changer
First played the demo earlier this year and bought it first thing the day it came out of early access... such a great little builder! Dragontown looks great!
A really cool tool if you have a classic fantasy setting and want a town that the PCs will return to year round. Not many ways to get seasonal maps of something custom!
You should do this again, but instead of Tiny Glade (awesome and cute as it is) you sould look at Manor Lords. Though it is not fantstical it makes some breathtaking scenes and towns that look natural, organic, and realistic--all with great grapchis too!
@@MedievalFantasyTV I’ve checked and sadly no…but I believe it’s a planner feature later in the future. Hopefully we’ll get it cause wow it is one pretty game!
The Olden setting is a little more rundown and setting the time of day to a little later in the day or at night achieves that pretty well! It won’t be super grungy but it does achieve some of the darker aesthetic.
video on how to make a generic map with your cartoon art style? even just an open grassy area with rocks and trees to know how big to make those on a grid and how far to space them apart would be so useful and in your art style it would look so good
Tiny Glade looks absolutely gorgeous and fun ❤ Also love the sound of your Dragon Town campaign! The campaign I run is Greco-Roman themed, so I unfortunately can’t use Tiny Glad to make village maps - but boy would that be sweet!
I bet modders will do different, “evil” style buildings. I imagine it wouldn’t be hard to make a dungeon style version of this game too. Also: how hard would it be to autogenerate interiors? How hard would it be to create a feature that makes maps of your creation?
100%! Each chapter is a new location so you might be leaving some stuff behind depending on what the players come up with. But I think it’d be an excellent framework for a DW game!
Having followed the development of Tiny Glade for years, I am very happy to see it get attention.

It seems like with some tweaks and more modules this would be a perfect tool to make dungeons as well.
There are some games and apps focused on more rpg stuff. This one is just a cozy little game

i love how much love this game is getting
Im glad im not the only one with this idea. I hope the devs add more support for DnD use
This looks like the perfect blend of The Sims in build mode and Sim City, but with a delightfully charming medieval theme!
Two games of the year, Dragon Town and Tiny Glade.

god tier map making engine actually

This is so cool. I thought about pulling up one of your maps and creating it when this game came out. So cool that THE MAN HIMSELF did it 🤩
When it was announced the first thing I thought was also hey this will be epic as a DM 😂
I've been waiting for some gm to do this for two weeks! Awesome!

looks super satisfying!
I didn't know about this game, but man, it looks great. Love Dragon Town in 3d!
Tiny Glade is so fun!!!
WOAH. This is a super cool setting builder tool!
Omg I had this exact idea this morning, so so excited I found your video!!

But can we build freely in Manor Lords? Just like in Tiny Glades?

Awesome use of an awesome program!
A grid overlay to match the maps features would be a great addition
best ttrpg content creator
What a cool program!
Tiny Glades is awesome.
You doomed me to create the 12 clearings of my upcoming ROOT rpg campaign.
Looks fun.
It's a fun "game" and it's not very expensive at $14. Bonus!
Great idea! Wish you could make it look a bit darker and grungy.

I've seen some great Roman villas--even the Coliseum. Heck, I've even seen feudal Japanese builds.
@@creativemuse2023 Interesting, but I’m assuming they are not default building options? Would they take a lot more work to make?

this is a powerfull tool
Awesomee
This is insanely cool. Beautiful work. It look like it wouldn't allow you to create a hill for the castle, tho. Does it not allow you adjust terrain?
You totally can! I should have made it way bigger of a hill!
How large a city can you build? I run campaigns in large metropolis type cities in a medieval timeframe.
You can see the white outline in the footage. That's the area you can build in.
It IS a tiny glade, after all :D But making several saves with different relevant areas of the city might work
Do you feel your game you’ve created on Kickstarter could be played in Dungeon World?
