I think this would be a 10/10 game only if there were people doing random stuff (washing clothes, planting things, kids playing etc) and the possibility to place a vegetable garden
I dont need it personally but it would be a cool toggle! Watching them fish or chop wood or fold clothes or cook over a fire while the children look at the flowers or something. Game barely came out and they are releasing a wave of big fixes and patches. Im assuming new content will be added as time goes on and the game will get even better
Man I was already sold on buying this game after the first 2 minutes but then when he lifted the bottom of the building up to pull it off the ground, like that it put a big smile on my face. What a cool game!!
I am only a few hours in the game, but lacked the creativity to be honest, so I did miss some stuff. I don't mind looking up the possibilities, it just makes my own game richer. So thanks for that! :)
I have had this game since day dot and have yet to build a thing. Spending all my time watching people build their excellent creations. How relaxing is that.
You make this look so easy! I'm exited to try some new things in the game tomorrow. My favourite thing I did so far was just put a thin path through the thick forest and at the end make a secret little witch house. This game is amazing.
for anyone around 10:30 and wondering, you can remove the crenellations with the paint tool. at the moment it's a button thats all the way at the left when you select the piece (its in with the section that makes wooden trims) you can also use this same method to make more even stone wall tops
New favorite game. I've been making villages, taking screenshots and using them in my dnd campaigns as locations and homes for my party! Tiny Glade really goes beyond the realm of creativity.
Thanks for this!! Tiny Glade is so different from most games I play and I was getting frustrated trying to make straight walls -- love ALL the tips you've shown here! This'll definitely help me move forward with the game. Much appreciated!
Same. I'm used to building in survival games. That means building under attack/threat of attack from PvP/PvE enemies. You typically need exact precision in placement, which can mean the difference between either life and death, or, a nonfunctional/aesthetically displeasing/less structurally secure building that could leave you vulnerable, or, unable to expand and upgrade. Not to mention the grinding for limited resources, need for storage/protection of said resources, and all the tools that comes with it. Games like Valheim, The Forest, and Rust. Great games, but the building tends to be very different. It requires a lot of time and precision, and though it's one of my favorite parts of those games, I'm glad games like this exist.
I randomly clicked on this video and I cannot overstate my excitement when I heard the opening jingle. Your Animal Crossing streams got me through the beginning of the pandemic. So glad you’re playing this game! 😄
A lot of good Tips and Tricks to improve ones experience with the game. I'm getting hooked up with the game more and more, its that cozy. Thank you so much 👍
I hope they add a generating crowd and what mood they are set in, such as you built a fort then generate an army set to "defend the fort" or generate a crowd in an empire set as "parade of the heroes" or just your normal village set to "day to day life" that would be wonderful.
That is a pretty cool engine, the possibilities in city-building games with an engine like this are endless. However, NPC's would be the icing on the cake with it. Also, an option to add props would be a welcome edition. This game definitely has a bright future if the Devs play their cards right and always put the players front and center in everything they do.
Thank you so much, what a great guide! I had no clue how to do a majority of this stuff. Gonna make sure to fav this one so I can come back when I get stuck with something. I'm loving this game so far. Can definitely tell it's gonna be one I come back to over and over again to just zen and chill out and be creative. I'm excited to see if they add more styles and whatnot in the future, or better yet, if they added a way to customize how the inside of buildings look. Then I can REALLY see getting lost playing this for days/weeks on end lol. Again, much appreciated for the vid Jonti!
the moment they allow for interior decoration its game over for me - i wont be playing anythings were that to happen! (x Given the walking camera in photo mode does allow you to walk through doors (but not walls) does maybe hint at something like that coming. Or its just my false hope
Thank you a million times. I was struggling with how some of the buildings were made. They are so pretty 😍 easy to follow instructions. I love this video. Thanks for sharing.
Really looking forward to playing this one. I wonder how it'll run on the Steam Deck. I hope they add more architectural styles in the future. Seems mostly medieval-based right now, but would love to see different time periods and cultures.
Glad I found your video. I only just started messing around with the game/program. You showed me a few things I'd wondered how to do and couldn't figure out on my own.
Absolutely amazing video!! Thank you! I just needed a bit of knowledge to boost my understanding of what the game is capable and your video was exactly what I needed! Thanks ☺️
13:54 If you make the first floor's roof a pyramid shap, no gable but coming to a point, before flattening it, then other buildings will snap to the direct center rather than the line of the gable :D
I'd love to see this expand into an RPG genre where you can place characters, create quests and story elements to interact with. Soooooo much potential! It's absolutely gorgeous!
No man. That's not the point of this game. This "game" is more like an immersive AI art building tool tbh. The idea of zero stress is the actual point of the game. No quests, no xp, no macrotransactions, no rewards other than your creativity. No pressure. Just build. That's what the game is going for. To transform it into an RPG transforms it into something completely opposite of what it is supposed to be. If you want a game like that you could play civilizations or whatever it is. Or minecraft.
Thanks for this helpful videos, my buildings were very simple and I couldn't figure out how to make them more interesting. I am not very creative/imaginative (not saying this in a self-deprecating way, just being realistic) so looking at your work in progress at the end really opened up my mind to more possibilities.
Idk. They *call* it Large Glade, but it turns out to be Slightly Below Average Glade. Wish they'd focused on developing other cool features instead of lying about size.
I just bought the game, problem is I'm not a very creative person which makes me give up easily however I really wanna give it a go because its such a chill game.
Thanks for this guide. I want to play this game whenever I have a few minutes available; I don't want to spend months hoping to stumble across a mechanic.
QUESTION! I made my first town, now I’m trying to make a second however my hammer will NOT eliminate trees in any of the season glades. Same goes for erasing anything, so my eraser is not working anymore
Thanks for putting this out. Game is a fun time but I was getting frustrated on how to shape the roofs - the opening minute or so of your video has opened the game up for me completely. I can experiment now that I know how the tools actually work. Honestly it's the only thing missing from the game - a proper tutorial to show how to use the tools.
It'd be cool if you could download different architecture from different eras like Edwardian, Tudor, colonial styles. Export to 3d models and paint for model railways or tabletop gaming.
Me a week ago: “What is this Tiny Glade game that keeps popping up on my feed?” Me after watching this video: “Welp, there goes my free time for the next three months…”

I downloaded this because it was supposed to be something cozy and undemanding for me to do while recovering from surgery. If I had wanted a game I had to "figure out", I would have gotten yet another puzzle game instead.

The game must have sold a lot, look at all the views. Oh and I do stairs by painfully using walls, if you cut a wall section to about 2-3 stones, it will always be flat. Be sure it's what you want because it takes time to adjust the height and position of all steps.
I think this would be a 10/10 game only if there were people doing random stuff (washing clothes, planting things, kids playing etc) and the possibility to place a vegetable garden
It's not something I need personally, but I know a lot of people would like it!
Cannot agree enough on the vegetable garden. Also maybe some farm land, different kinds of path.
I hope they add this and small items you can add so you don't have to play around with the trapdoors, would make the game absolutely perfect
I dont need it personally but it would be a cool toggle! Watching them fish or chop wood or fold clothes or cook over a fire while the children look at the flowers or something. Snag the game. Im 6 hours in and loving it.
I only paid $ 12.47 I built a whole village.
Cool game indeed!
Finally, someone who has vision into the real life structures and supports, when creating a building.
I'm no expert, but thanks!
THE STEPS ON THE FLATTENED BUILDINGS HAVE CHANGED MY WORLDDDD
