I'm 49 and live on 38 forested acres. It takes years for me to do some of the operations you do in less than a second. What an incredible game to stoke creativity and design!

Depends on how you look at it. If you are already successful and have money working for you then this is a nice break from reality. If you got a job and you're working for someone else's dream then this is a waste of time. Focus time on your dream and better yourself physically and mentally. The reward that comes will better than any game will give you.
I have said it before numerous times on other sites, but I say it again. The potential of this great little 'game' [ if we can even call it that] is just phenomenal. So many things that could be produced for this would bring this game to life even more. However, we have to remember, that this game was designed by only TWO developers To put in the game all those things that we would love to see would take massive programming for only two people. We can but hope though, that bit by bit they will be introduced in time.

I watched this video on Sunday morning over my early-morning tea, having never heard of this game before. Once up, I came downstairs, went into Steam and bought it - thank goodness it's not expensive. I have a lot to learn but I've been enjoying it immensely ever since, and haven't done quite as many chores as I should have! So glad UA-cam for some reason suggested this video. One thing I've enjoyed watching out for is when a sheep opens an umbrella and floats up into the air for a few moments, before drifting back down - I'm not sure whether the player triggers that somehow or whether it's random! It's silly but fun - however the real satisfaction is in putting together the structures to create something that looks realistic.
Finishing the stream VOD and having a new Egg video is the best. This game is so charming and soothing. Can't wait to see how it is expanded. Please do more of this in the future
It's really fleshed out I am completely satisfied but as a human I ofc want more like interior designs and all but man how simple their controls are is just amazing ( I believe we can use it as an asset engine itself to make a game in it ... that's how good it is )

I love the building in this game so, so much, but I also know what I'm like. In any game, from Rimworld, to CS, Project Zomboid, to Sprocket; the payout for investing the time in building something nice is that I then get to watch it being used, or use it, over many hours of gameplay. I guess that, for me, building is a means to an end, not the end within itself. Which kind of sucks when a game like this comes out lol. I envy those who build simply for the love of building. I truly hope these devs either add some kind of ongoing after-build sims gameplay to this game, or go onto use the building system in other games that have sims and after-build gameplay.

This building system is amazing! My main jams are Rimworld and Space Engineers. I would be the happiest little builder if I could have this kind of intuitive procedural construction in those games.
This game reminds me of a game that came out a few years ago called townscaper where you can build on a slightly bigger scale than this, if you liked this game u should definitely check it out if you haven’t already
Townscaper was my therapy before this but this game has so many secret building mechanics that I took over an hour to learn them; and it made me realize just how much potential there is with so few building options.
I'd love to see a VR feature so you can sculpt the land and place the components with your hands or controllers, physically zoom in and out in real life and see the whole thing before you like a miniatures table or scale train set.

I love these procedural cozy building games so much! I wish we had a modern city builder that uses this tech and artistic skill. My favorite thing to do in SimCity 2000 was to just customize the tilesets and plop medium-sized cities.

I am loving seeing everyone try Tiny Glade builds. The only other Procedural Builder I can think of that works even remotely as well is Dungeon Alchemist, but that's meant to build single buildings/rooms for RPGs.

I'm so glad I found this video. After the frustrations of the base building engine in no man's sky, which, while allowing for some crazy builds, required you to constantly argue with the glitchy engine. (Which could be exploited to make some amazing stuff) but it was frustrating, and detracted from whatever payoff you get from the finished build. This bucolic game is just what I need right now. Very similar to Townscaper, if anybody was curious for another example of a procedural diorama builder, also very relaxing and charming, but with a seaside village/island setting 👌 Although certainly Tiny Glade seems more focused on smaller details like textures and individual objects, it looks fairly more complex than Townscaper.
I've played the demo. The mechanics are really good and you can build beautiful things with it. But the lack of people, milestones and challenges did convince me i would get bored with it very quickly. If you just like to build and play in this wonderful fairyland this is an amazing game to do so
What they need to add is some light gaming like putt putt courses and maybe some physics games like throwing balls through moving hoops type of thing. You can create the whole thing to play and it be part of your little world.
This is great, it even shows how cities might have become, Theres a castle, and then they need an extra house outside, for maybe more workers, then they need one more maybe, then someone else hears theres few houses there maybe they need to trade, trader comes, sees its a good money to be around these houses and the castle, decides to settle, another house. he builds another one for his kids, kids create their families, more people are created, more people move in, the castle and supporting few houses becomes a tiny village and slowly grows more and more. over time, the family in the castle might be gone and its left abandoned but the town around it continues business as usual, the community is no longer dependent on the castle, the castle becomes a landmark, a tribute to towns history

You can use windows to also make doors. Place them near the bottom of the building and they'll swap over.

As someone who works in the architecture field and has grown up playing Age of Empires, I LOVE THIS!

This is the natural successor to Townscaper, which was a great game too but always left me wondering what was going to come after it.
Idea to make it AI hyped: you build your castle in the game, then the AI translates it into Lego pieces you can order online and build in reality.
