Cheers to Ana, Tom, Martin & Oda for all of their hard work and pouring themselves into this beautiful game!
Man I've bought every game you ever recommended and as a city builder enthusiast, this is another gold in the making. I've been looking for something akin to Farthest Frontier but softer, and this is it.
It is! Glad that you enjoyed this one! I never know how featuring new games on the channel will go, but over the last little while, it seems like something that everyone has been enjoying - myself included!
This looks adorable! I only wish there was a way to add tiny little people walking around and enjoying what has been created, a way to really set the whole scene similar to the ducks. I can see myself spending lots of time with this one
The customisation available in the engine is insanely cool. You can tell that a lot of hard work was put into making it so easily manipulated. The developers really did well on the intuitiveness of the editor
Sounds weird at first, but a modern architecture version of this would be soooo cool- my first impression from seeing the pond was "I wish it'd let you recreate Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater"
I love the concept =) But I can't help to spin it further in my head. Take ALL of this building and add people to it. Build a village with all it's needs like logging camp, fletcher, bakery etc pp. But instead of having pre fabricated buildings you create all these places using this method. You just select beforehand what purpose the building has and it automaticly adds tiny details to the building that makes sense to it's purpose =)
It’d be nice to just have very simple people, that live in the building(s). Could be a big rabbit hole, so you’d really just want the simplest of behaviors, to not take away from the point of the game. Making cool stuff.
My day starts with watching your video. Positive charge for the whole day. You freely and easily drew the city area and landscape, amazing. Tiny Glade is the most creative game.
I can see this game being written in the building games Hall of fame It's so beautiful and everything has been thought of and it's still in it's development stage props to the developers
This building system is outstanding, but I admit that it really frustrates me that there are these games out there that have amazing building systems, with very limited, or non-existent gameplay outside of the building. I see building like this, and I just see what it could be. I can't really get that much out of building things for the sake of building them; there has to be something to do with them once they're built. If this was a bit of a Sims-like, I'd be all over it. It could be more sit-back-and-watch kind of gameplay where you see how they want to live in the home you've built; with you maybe dropping in to build an extension for the growing household. Time could even pass fast enough that you get to watch many generations living there. Just seeing kids randomly playing, or a gardener sowing or harvesting in the veg patch would add so, so much
@@LostAccount404I mean what the OP is talking about is kind of close to the original idea of the Sims (1) when it was in early development where the thought was the Sims would basically judge how well you built their house. It wasn’t so much about you playing the Sims (like what Sims actually became) OR managing some massive ‘city’ (like Sim City). It was just gonna be like building and having a little feedback loop for gameplay. Obviously it became something else. But I think it would be interesting to at least see a bit of glade-ers interacting with and reacting to what’s built without massive city systems to watch or gladers to manage. I think the game looks beautiful, but I too find it hard to play without a goal for the result…that also just might mean the game isn’t for me. 😂 which is ok.
@@LostAccount404 To be clear, I don't mean it with any hate or anything; if anything I'm giving high praise to what they've made, as it's fuelling my imagination! Fingers crossed, if this game see's a lot of sales, maybe we'll see them build on top of this building system in a later game - or even add it to this game in some form (less likely)
I am totally with you on this one, while I love tinkering with Townscaper, I need to see some kind of "result" or "goal" within my creations. A game that features an organic building style with some ressource management and even exploration is "Bulwark Evolution: Falconeer Chronicles".
I could see gardening mechanics in this game, but I’ve been in love with it for the sole reason that there are no goals. It’s a painter not a simulator. As it is right now, at least. Maybe they’ll add more functionality later. Fun fact: this game started as a random project by Ana (one of the devs) with literally just the procedural wall drawing tool
Watching all those dormer windows made my head hurt. You Americans don’t understand the pain of living in housing built when heating was more important than comfort. Ceilings at 5’ 6”. Beams and corners strategically placed to smack you on the head. Odd stairs to trip you up. They may look pretty until you have to live in one! 😂
Just bought this last night and as I downloaded it I said "i wanna see city planner play this" and you already have! Super chill Sunday morning coffee vibes and I can't wait for a day off
Man, your descendants are going to love you once the window tax kicks in. Not for me, this - I need games to have a purpose to aim towards, rather than just doing something because it looks nice.
Hehe, oops! It's funny, I generally feel the same, but I think both this and townscaper scratch something a bit different for me. Sometimes I want to just shut my brain off, and this help with that kind of time.
@@CityPlannerPlays Yeah, I can totally get why people would like it - it's like painting or something like that where you purely concentrate on the aesthetics.
I can see this game being super useful for artists that want to paint fantasy buidings, you can build what you want and se any angle you want. Awesome, as an artist myself I might use it for my creations too! ^^
I am an admittedly bad city builder on Cities, bad zoo builder on Planet Zoo and pretty bad house builder on The Sims...but I love all of those games for the unlimited design potential and the ability for them to be relatively casual if I want them to be. But this game has captured my attention because it is, by default, casual and you can't fail, unlike the other simulators. Everything is right at your fingertips and you don't have milestones to hit, nor do you have to try to figure out where the money is going to come from. You just get to meander through the game. The graphics and music were both intelligently designed to give the gamer a calming and delightful atmosphere to build in. I got the free trial of this and immediately bought the full version once it came out. Bravo to the game devs, I can't believe it's their first but I'm with you - I don't think it'll be their last. This is one of the best casual simulation games to be released in recent years.
I've been receiving tiny glades newsletter for about two years now. It's been awesome to watch the game grow and I finally got to play it back during steam next fest. I've really wanted another game similar to townscaper or dothromantic for a while now. Can't wait for it to release!
If you like the puzzle element of Dorfromantik, you might also like Islanders. They describe themselves as "minimalist citiy builder", but you really build towns and outskirts on islands. The puzzle is figuring out how to layout the buildings because they have likes/dislikes for other buildings in their area.
I don't know about others, but i feel like this would be amazing to use as a reference for minecraft builds. you are creating your own references, instead of using existing ones and you have a ton of fun doing so.
I would love to see little people walking around and living in the village you just made, I feel like that would add a little bit of extra enjoyment for the player.
i am so glad to see you play this, and that it's coming out so soon now!!!! i remember how absolutely enchanted i was by the trailer i saw on steam, and the demo alone has been amazing. i cannot wait to mess around with the game and find the little things like you kept coming across this whole video, so so so cute and fun!!!!

My type of game. I usually enjoy single player, city builder and medieval time. If economy + city builders game could integrate this level of integration to their games, that would be freaking awesome.
When you were building your patios you said "Don't let perfect be the enemy of good" which is a great point But you also can see patios/buildings being added onto and you can see clear lines of bricks where the walls used to be on old historical buildings like in the game!

That said, I love your attitude and glad you’re entire family is enjoying the game.
Eeeeek! So excited to play!!!!!!
I found this game a few months ago and actually saved it for later on steam and then I completely forgot about it. But today I got an email that the game released now and now completely out of the blue the UA-cam Algorithm recommended me your video and it’s so nice to watch, I just wanna say thank you for showcasing this game. It’s absolutely beautiful.
Now let us import these buildings into Cities Skyline and Planet Coaster, and my gaming life would be pure perfection.
I love the little sheep 🐑 walking around happily 😊♥️ super nice game 😊
I love this so much. I would happily consume hours of people building as a sort of companion to my work day. It’s so relaxing and aesthetically pleasing. I especially loved the attention to detail, like the fireflies at night 😍
The simplicity of the drag system is astonishingly good. It looks incredibly intuitive.
The sounds as you move and adjust parts of your building are pretty cool. 🙂
I used to be a die hard gamer, i've been starting up a business, doing real estate and just life in general. I was looking for a casual game I don't feel i NEED to play to stay current. This hit the spot.
Sir, I love watching your videos. You are so creative. I came across you with your Magnolia County series and set it for all notifications. And then you post a gem like this!?! Amazing!! It's like accidental ASMR. ☺
What I love about this game is the obvious love, passion and hard work thats gone into it. Glad I bought it to support the little guys that still want to create great games.
For the big door, id assume the roof isnt high enough.
Also so much fun to see new people enjoying the full game. so much stuff to build. ive been waiting patiently for content creators getting acces and not only us playtesters. And now im even more hyped for release.
also watch out with the lights. only the last 32 light placed will actually light up. That was a restriction during the demo and worked out there. but the code needs to get changed to allow for more aswell has having the light not only be Screenspace but actually emitting. This change will probably come after release. but for now. remember this limit when placing lights ^^
Ahh shoot, you're probably right about that! Such a fun little game! I'm going to have to boot it up and keep tinkering with this build!
It would be so cool if we could enter the buildings too, interior design moment. I also want more animals plss😄
i am not gonna lie; when i see this as a civil engineer, i think how the tools are working could create a real real real smooth draft-prozess
This is one of the most ✨IMMACULATE✨ tavern/inn I've had the pleasure to see in my life
I've been so excited and waiting for this game for such a long time. Looking forward to getting my hands on it! ❤️
I've been following Tiny Glades development for what seems like years and I couldn't be more excited for the full release! It was a pleasant surprise to see you do a video play through and highlight this wonderful game.
What a change of pace. I have to say, I think I'm a fan of this game. Thanks for sharing your experience.
I'm gonna cry, this game is everything I'd want in a cozy building game.
This is literally the game i’ve been dreaming about since i was a kid, knowing its now a real thing i can buy and play makes me really happy
Thank you for introducing us to this amazing game!
Happy to do so! Glad that you enjoyed this one!
Totally agree! The cutesy faux medieval artstyle puts me off a bit. Modernist Glade would be great. Maybe dlc?
This is the best ad for a game I've ever seen. I'm not even a gamer but I want to play this so badly.
I've followed this game for quite a while, and have been waiting for its release. I can't wait!
watching you play this and seeing how your thought-process is, is just mindblowing.
I love the concept =)
But I can't help to spin it further in my head.
Making cool stuff.
ok, go ahead and write a code for that, then.
@@SamTehGr8 I'd love to, but I am but a useless idiot when it comes to programming. :D Merely expressing a nice to have. Not a demand.
@@SamTehGr8 why so damn negative ? Just "speaking" my mind and imagination.
My day starts with watching your video. Positive charge for the whole day. You freely and easily drew the city area and landscape, amazing.
Tiny Glade is the most creative game.
with enough time, i could see you loving minecraft
Oh my god I am in favor of this. City Planner Plays Minecraft when??
Vote for Minecraft series
@@randomclips5540no....Minecraft needs some some serious overhauls.
I feel you're missing the point of this game.
@@ryansliwinski Minecraft sucks. It needs everything from an engine overhaul to a graphics over haul and player mechanics overhaul.
A build system like this in a game like Planet Coaster would be absolute perfection. Looks so fun!
Imagine being able to build this easily in cities skylines 2
I am absolutely obsessed! I wish my laptop could handle this game. I need to watch someone stream this for hours
Nice looking hotel there Phil! Can we export what we build as an asset for CS2? LOL... looks a very ASMR game though. Chill 'n' Build stuff...
Hahaha, honestly that'd be my kind of asset exporter! Seriously a relaxing game though. A good way to wind down!
Just seeing kids randomly playing, or a gardener sowing or harvesting in the veg patch would add so, so much
I get that. But its a couple creating this game and sometimes you have to reduce complexity to realize a project.
I feel more relaxed just watching your video about it. 😆
I mean to be fair, the fun of building games is sometimes just doing things for the “pretty” (not just this game, all building games).
This is just for fun though.
Thanks for this video! I've had this game on my steam wishlist and didn't even realize there was a demo!! Going to check it out now! Looks so fun!
Bought the game thanks to this video! I can see this being a big trend on youtube with many beautiful builds! So relaxing
this is what it feels like to draw a scenery back in my childhood
I can see this game being super useful for artists that want to paint fantasy buidings, you can build what you want and se any angle you want. Awesome, as an artist myself I might use it for my creations too!
^^
Whoever created this game is a COZY GENIUS!!!!! 😀
Every single screenshot i see gives me so much inspiration, absolutely loving this game its so cute!
This game is going to be deservedly huge.
It’s, brilliant, beautiful and bijou.
Dear Santa….
I’ve been so excited for this game. It’s so my style. Thanks for showing it off!
Joy you would LOVE this game! I'll shoot you over their contact info.
This is looking great. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. My wife and i are already hyped. 😊
I've had my eye on this for so long now...VERY happy to see it finally coming together!!!!!
Why is this game so beautiful?! It has no right being this good!!
The background noise is very ASMR, love it.
I have been following this game for SO LONG, it's amazing how much two people can do. I can't even imagine what they could do with a full team.
i really hope this is a huge success and they port it to every platform imaginable. switch is probably too weak but iPad would be a dream.
I've been following this game for almost 2 years and im so excited to see it come out! I've been so impatient for its release!
I can see this as a basic architectural planner tool too. Awesome game, so fun and chill.
It's so peaceful there, it almost makes my cry. I want to live there
i’ve been so obsessed with the demo of this since the day it came out. i absolutely can’t wait for the full game to come out it’s going to ruin my life.
13:56 that realization is just so fun to hear you get, I can just see the lightbulp coming on and the wheels turning in your head witht he new possibilities you just discovered for youself and us
Wrote down your quote: "Dont let perfect be the enemy of good." Thank you for that. Great video btw, I'm subscribing.
My type of game. I usually enjoy single player, city builder and medieval time.
If economy + city builders game could integrate this level of integration to their games, that would be freaking awesome.
when you showed that you can walk around in your builds that you just made my brain exploded
I just want to let you know that you made my day with this video. Thank you CPP ❤
Still one of my favourite builds I've seen, gorgeous work!
Okay, damn. Now if you could go into first person and walk through this creation? Instant buy.
EDIT: 27:45 - OH MY GOD
When you were building your patios you said "Don't let perfect be the enemy of good" which is a great point
But you also can see patios/buildings being added onto and you can see clear lines of bricks where the walls used to be on old historical buildings like in the game!
