- This is our first couple days after buying this French farmhouse in Normandie France which Tracy my partner and I are going to fully renovate and live in as well as video every aspect of our journey bringing this lovely 200 odd year old building back to life for all to enjoy

Interesting to hear they hunt and shoot bores in France ... my neighbours, three fields away, are bores but unfortunately we are not located in France.

A lot of work, but a nice bit of land and you seem to have a plan. You’re not the only property owners who have Bramble problems in rural France I see quite a lot of Chateau/ land owners on you tube clearing it all. All the best

@@FrenchFarmhouseDiaries I love bees. We sometime have an innumerable amount of carpenter bees but this year we haven’t had too many. Even those bees do some good but love to mess up my wood 🤪 I love what I’ve seen and can wait to keep watching your progress 🥰
Great first video! I'm working my way through your channel whilst making jewellery!! 😃 Don't talk to me about 10 foot brambles and bracken!! I actually fell out of love with our place that we've had for 14 years, because all we seem to do when we go over is clear the dam things for them to just grow back again! I haven't been able to walk around our orchard for the best part of 10 years now 😥 but now we are making plans to go over for longer periods, I'm getting my mojo back for the place, because I do love it there.
Luckily our place is liveable in, so not such a great big project as we are more land knowledged than building.
I really must get my videos done!

Thank you Tammy it seems such a long time ago we started the channel oh we know your pain Budo and l couldn't walk around the land when we viewed the property because the brambles were so high we did mange to get through the front door to view the property 😂 that is good that you are getting your mojo back and once you are here you will fall in love again lm sure ... France is a beautiful country 🤗❤

I noticed how nice that masonry looks on the ruined building. Can you re-use some of it to repair the stone wall after you get the brambles off it or anything else?

Hi, got the tip like a lot of others today from Terry and Ash today and have subscribed . Great seeing the changes already. Based on experience, a little tip for you guys. Clean out one of the buildings e.g. you barn , make it weather and wind proof and get some goats, about 4 should do it. Get some mini horse covers for them so they are not cold and tether them in the field and let the got to town on the Bracken Fern and gambles etc . Bring them in to the barn at night give the some good food and a good dry bed and they will be the best eco warriors you will in best in. Make sure you get all nannies because the billies stink and you don't want to be birthing babies. This actua8really works councils here have gets a of them they use in rough teraine to clean up troublesome spots instead of herbicide which of course is no good for the bees.
