We care about you. Imagine yourselves on the other side of the Visa challenge and related concerns. Imagine that your visa apps have been accepted and how you feel, how your world looks being over that hump and with the freedom to expand in all of the ways that you love to. That time that jump that feeling of elation is already in motion. Your place is steadily becoming your beautiful grounded and inspiring sanctuary.
    You are loved

Some lovely words you said about MrB there Miss Budz, possibly the finest compliment any human could ever hope to be rewarded with...
Stay safe folks and stay strong the visa will come... its a French thing
Every day you return that old derelict house into a welcoming home, all things like replacing the windows and broken doors make it look loved, and then you help the land by rescuing the lovely old cherry tree from its choking parasite great work you two and long may you continue to make things better for the house just as importantly the land it sits upon!

So grateful to see you back! I cannot speak to other countries, but when expatriating here to Mexico, a savvy local Facillator (who may or may not be an attorney but has a good reputation) was a huge help! It was well worth their fees, so crucial to have an advocate, and they know their way thru all the hurdles! Keep believing and seek local help!

I am very saddened that you have to leave France. Im aware that they have strict rules about who can stay but the application process is tedious and i think the government requires a certain minimum income and medical insurance as part of the approval process. Do either of you have grandparents who were born in France or other EU countries?
Are you planning on selling your property? I know that you have returned to Havre de Grace in Maryland. But I pray you don’t abandon your hopes and take a course of action that allows you to achieve your dreams. Please keep us posted.
All my best…Joe and Gigi retired in Cape May.

Sadly neither of us have European lineage! our biggest mistake was not hiring a professional to help us with our visas from the get go. We are selling the property! Keeping it is just logistically impossible for us. We rebuild here in Maryland....Slowly but surely!
      Cheers Joe and Gigi❤️

@@mrbloke please don’t be so hard on yourselves. You two seem to be lovely people are have settled in a beautiful town. I loved living in Annapolis and working in Baltimore. I held the position of Executive director for Maryland’s Child Support Program. Main office in Baltimore with a satellite office in Annapolis. I’ll have to tell you about that someday. I enjoyed living at the mouth of the Seven River and was able to watch the sunrise. After retiring I decided to move to Cape May and watch the most beautiful sunsets. A metaphor for my life? Even from my front porch I can see it. I sold my Annapolis condo to buy this old farmhouse (C 1890) which has been designated historic.
I had made many friends involved in the healing arts and dated a Naturopathic Doctor whose office (Bodhi Clinic) is now in Columbia MD.
Please don’t think me as pushy; however, it might be fun to meet up.
      Enjoy your week. Joe.

Just like the trees and hazelnuts you planted, the fruits of labours will prevail, roots will grow deep, as will time in France when the Visas come through. Don’t allow the invasive ivy take over and crowd your vision or cherry tree! Jobs well done.

Planting a tree is always a good way to help sink roots. Your new oak trees will need regular watering the 1st year to help them get their roots settled in. Ask a local nursery how often and how much.

Keep that mesh you picked up between the building & fence.
It could be used to filter/sieve soils that has rocks & roots etc.
Build a wooden frame then apply the mesh to it. The finer soil material falls through leaving the rubbish on the top.
Then sort & relocate the various sorts of rubble etc.

    Amending my previous comment.
The Visa struggles must be scary, stressful, taxing and come with a degree of threat to your hopes and your dreams.
You deserve to live out your dream in France and you have shown such commitment already to this. You have value and want to share this value, to contribute locally in such genuine, soulful, unobtrusive ways.
You are assets and I imagine that this is the pragmatic question or view taken by their bureaucracy. So unless you have a dark criminal seedy sinister past 😮 then we believe that the road block about your visas will peel away presenting new life opportunities just like the ivy on your cherry tree!!!
Isn’t it great how the windows and doors came into being?! So clever and creative. Function with rustic charm 🤗
The two of you are a strong loving force.

    Dear Bloke couple.
👍👌👏 A lot of progress is shown in this video. Congratulations ! 🎉 2) I wonder if the old machine/milling device can be used as a shredder for making very useful wood chips out of branches. Please kindly allow me to suggest that you try to find out. 3) By the way: Please buy yourselves or let donate a flat shovel. It's way more effective on flat grounds than a pointed/rounded shovel. 4) If you peel off the hairy stuff and dirt from the big pieces of ivy, you might be amazed/surprised how wonderful grown structures there are. Nice for making art but the wood must be protected against wood worms. Unfortunately I learned it the hard way (I had to throw away all my natural ivy mesh), sigh. 5) Hope the totally unnecessary, annoying/distracting visa thing will soon be solved.
Thanks a lot for making explaining recording editing uploading and sharing.
Best regards luck and especially health to all involved humans, animals and plants.

I really enjoy watching how you have transformed this "jewel" that was neglected due to life happening. Your quest has been to take things that most people throw away and re-purpose them into a usable item.
You seem to really focus on positivity a lot when you share which I really appreciate in a world that tends to be negative negative.
I would like to make a suggestion... please consider updating your name of your UA-cam channel. Your place is a "Jewel" hidden in dirt and debris. Removing the name "dump" professes its possibility. It professes its potential. Maybe it will then bring positive energy into the visa situation. Your channel is about transformation and maybe it might change the situation. Maybe a slight name change would be the positive energy you need right now.🙏

    • @mrbloke
      @mrbloke  7 місяців тому +2

We agree about the name. We use "Dump" more for a UA-cam marketing strategy - when you learn to do UA-cam they suggest catchy names and sadly more people click on dump than jewel! We couldn't agree with you more - words posses energy, but the title will stay for now.... we use the word "dump" lovingly and the place knows how much we love it. Thank you for your kind words and thank you for watching! (Mrs. Bloke)

So good to see you both back, I was beginning to worry a little about you both.
I love watching how you have sprinkled your magic on this land when you first bought the farmstead and then with all your love and nurture how it then began to sprout new life, and as time has passed we have seen how with all the hard work you continue to feed the land the land wakes up and has taken a complete different look and feel to it, and it's got an old French rustic romantic farmhouse and land feeling to it, the type you would picture read about 😊.
Praying for you both that things can be sorted out and you get your visas❤ sending you love and hugs.

Great to see you guys back. Good luck with the work visas, you deserve them after what you've done to the dump! Think it's time to drop that tag as in my eyes it's truly beautiful, you've made it look amazing. With the harvesting of the hay contributing to the local economy and your future plans, I'm sure the mayor will help pursue your work visas. Stay safe ❤

    you've perfected the Croc-shuffle Mr Bloke ~
There was a Croc-éd man, who walked a Croc-éd mile, he found a Croc-éd sixpence beside a Croc-éd style, he bought 5 Croc-éd cats who caught 5 Croc-éd mice and they all lived together in a little Croc-éd house.
