That pink stuff you used at the start is AMAZING!! I used it in 1999-2000 when I started at the honda dealership from the detail department. Found it again a couple years ago at a local dealership and bought 5 gallon. It's the ONLY thing I've ever used that doesn't need agitation on wheels.

Craig I'm 25 retired after 25 years as an independentvused csr dealer. I moved to strickly wholesale as soon as I delevoped the skills to do so as to avoid having to deal with retail customers. Last 10 years I dealt with roughly the same 10 or 22 retailers and auctioned off everything I bought that they wouldn't buy.
I admire your recon knowledge so much. If I had your recon skills I would have made more money and retored earlier.

That Jeep looks like "fade outs" we get in Florida. That detail probably will add an additional $1000. gross. I wish we had the time to detail our units like we did in the past. Too old to do this myself, we send the cars out to an independent detailer, so-so results. Sometimes it is more cost effective to send these units over to MAACO.

Hey Craig, I trust that you and your family are healthy and happy. Great “How To” video today! Back when I was in the business we were always looking for vehicles that needed the paintwork rehabilitated like this Jeep. The flat looking paint really reduced the wholesale value of the unit and was pretty easy to bring back to life. Red vehicles looked especially bad with the way the paint would develop a whiteish cloudy finish. It was also the easiest to bring back to life.
All those cars paid for college and grad school for me.
Your channel remains my favorite on UA-cam. I look forward to your next one.
    Peace,

One tip on the clay bar.....it actually says it in the directions....it's rip off a small piece and "mold" it in your hands for a bit to make it softer and then you can use a new piece on each panel. Folding it over itself becomes less important and much less chance to fold out an imperfections from a previous panel and scratch one your working on after.
Edit: oof you didn't warm it up or work it all before using. Probably missed alot of small stuff. The warmer and softer it is the more micro-contaminants you can get off.

Craig, I generally enjoy your videos and the knowledge you have regarding the buying and selling of cars. That being said, please don't post any more videos on detailing cars as I worry that someone will follow the advice here and go out and buy a rotary tool and wool pad, use some rubbing compound and completely burn through the paint of the car. There are times when you should leave things to an expert and this level of compounding and polishing is one of those things.
