Nice job! Have you polished your fleet of 2002s? I think one or two of the rougher ones would look cool polished and the rust preserved with just clear coat. I’d love to see an entire car-before and after pic.
I have dark blue paint. Normal white colors of polish etc,. fill up in the chips and other imperfections. How do I prevent this? I have tried blue polish/wax but can't get the shine. Thanks.
Glad to find this. I have 89 c1500 that is white just like the car shown. Oxidation. I'm going to do this vs repainting for now. I thought oerhqos the paint was faded and gone lol
Good day to you. My roof of my Tacoma has cloudy splotches. They are not blistering of peeling. I tried Mcguiars compound but just made it smooth. The pad was the finest one. I guess I need more aggressive pad and a stronger compound?
Sometimes the clear coat actually gets damaged from the UV rays. I know some older Toyotas have this problem. Unfortunately a repaint/ reclear will be the only to fix it.
I just did a cut on a Milano Red 200 Integra (using macguires ultimate cut) and my cutting pad had no red residue on the pad. Any idea on why I’m doing wrong? Pretty sure it’s a single stage paint. Perhaps I’m not putting enough pressure
thanks for the tips and video ..I will be doing this on my 66 f350 soon .Going for the patina look but I want the paint to look as good as you did before I seal it in with a clear coat ..
Clay bar does not get rid off imperfections, it probably causes more imperfections. It does pull off a lot of contaminants though.
Dave is so right start of light or med and go heavier if you need it!

Where is your safety equipment when using the polishing machine?
so the car don’t have clear coat? Should I apply base paint and clear coat?
Does that have some kind of clear coat?
About how long did it take looking as good after u polished it ?
That’s a good question! I don’t remember how long that took but an average sized car is usually around 10 hours if not more.
Well done, David. Your presentation style and video are excellent. Thank you.
Thank you!

That vehicle has two-stage paint. You will only see paint transfer on your pad when you’re cutting and/or polishing single-stage paint.
I always thought you would want to use the polish machine for the last wax step as well?
Heaps quicker.
Amazing tutorial for beginners, well done!
Glad you think so!
Great video thanks
How long does the shiny ✨ last?
