A great classic - emphasisng that you do not need to be wealthy to make your car look as good as it possibly can, on a tight budget. Most other videos you will see tend to want you to buy all manner of expensive tools. This video refreshingly reminds you that elbow grease, and correct technique triumphs.
There is no way I would waste my time sanding and painting the wheels on a 500 dollar car. It's way too time consuming and with the age of the vehicle, it will continue to deteriorate so the cleaning was more than enough.

I bought an electric polisher for my other car, which did speed up the process, but the results weren’t as good. im still wondering if hes doing a voice over or if hes talking while doing everything since the mic quality is so good
I'm 99% sure that it is voice over in the final edit, but during the recording I guess he talks so the video matches with what he's saying
He does a voice over with his really good microphone is his office
He does both but his voice over is really spot on with his hand movements and what he’s doing
im laughing imagining Chris working on cars being totally silent and doing crazy hand movements just for the camera
I think he keeps the original audio in but has it set to a really low volume, if you watch some of his videos you can barely hear background noises like cars passing so unless he is adding sound effects in after I think he does both.
The excitement in Chris's voice when doing any of these jobs cures my depression >< i FINALLY got my first project car that isnt going to turn into a daily driver after the many many chris fix videos i used to get my 600$ '99 Camry into great shape -> complete fluid changes, rust repairs, paint, engine bay..etc. just got a 5th gen honda prelude and i CANNOT wait to begin. your a huge inspiration Chris. and a great teacher 👍🏼👌🏻 🇨🇦

I watch a lot of detailing videos from the UK and US and I have to say that this is one of the best because you haven't used any fancy equipment like drill brushes and dual action polishers. You've used only grunt and hard work and a large dose of common sense. Respect.

A great classic - emphasisng that you do not need to be wealthy to make your car look as good as it possibly can, on a tight budget. Most other videos you will see tend to want you to buy all manner of expensive tools. This video refreshingly reminds you that elbow grease, and correct technique triumphs.

How long did it take to do the whole car?
@@jemaines well, me and my buddy did the whole thing by hand the same way chris did. A long time and a hell of a lot of elbow grease. I’d say a good 6 hours. Then again it was also our first time, somebody with experience could’ve probably done it quicker. I bought an electric polisher for my other car, which did speed up the process, but the results weren’t as good. But, I think that was solely due to the fact that I’ve never used one before and you have to use the correct speed setting, apply just the right amount of pressure, etc. There’s a lot more factors than just doing it by hand
