Hello from New England As a drummer Mario Duplantier has been a massive influence on my own playing His use of cymbals for fills really expanded my playing I'm seeing Gojira for the 10th time on September 21 in Massachusetts ✌️🧐🤘
The art of dying would make a great reaction video. The drumming and the entire song is absolute insanity.
Always thought Mario was an amazing metal drummer. After watching this solo I'm convinced he could sit behind a 5 piece set and own the Jazz genre. Great timing instinct.

Mario truly is in my opinion one of the best metal drummers of all time, altho im just a casual metalhead. Rare to see the dude with a shirt on, too. Hes a beast, I'll look out for you doing more of his content!
The fact he does 90% of this with eyes closed always blows my mind lol. He can also play crossover with no issue. Truly unique drummer unlike any other in the genre! Favorite work of his would probably be their entire discography if I had to pin point it. A particularly exceptional performance is REMEMBRANCE from their live show! Give it a watch!
