Toxic garbage island definitely
Uncommon but after having nearly all Gojira albums memorized, I think In the Wilderness is the heaviest song they have. Its got a bit more variance than the popular heavy tracks, but its chugs are insane. It has a wild drive and mid section.
I would be inclined to agree. I’m tempted to say The Heaviest Matter of the Universe is the heaviest song, but if I’m being completely honest I’m possibly leaning that way because of the title 😂 (not to say that that song isn’t heavy as fuck). Pound for pound, judging only by the music itself, In the Wilderness does have to be their heaviest song.
Imo The Way of All Flesh is the heaviest song they've made, but some of their old or even pre gojira when they were Godzilla songs are extremely heavy for classic death metal type songs
The art of dying
Kinda basic answer but Flying Whales if by far my favorite from Gojira, with Explosia (very underrated) coming in second. By the way he is using a Tama STAR drum set with remo emperor coated heads for the toms and a remo controlled sound head for the snare. It also looks like he uses remo powerstrokes for the kicks.
Despite having reached what many would consider the pinnacle of the rock musician career path this guy still works his ass off and hits the practice room for hours and hours every day trying to grow as a drummer. Such a humble and passionate guy and I have so much respect for him.
Mario is so good and amazing on drums there is a drum solo where he plays parts that El Estepario Siberiano can't play, he reacted to a video of Mario playing a drum solo and during part of the solo El Estepario says I don' know what he is doing here I can't play this part.

hard to pick a gojira favorite as well... I'd say one of the favorites is Toxic Garbage Island and off of the newest record probably Into The Storm !

Mouth of Kala is my favorite song form Gojira.. Also Where the Dragons dwell live hell fest 2013 here on UA-cam is really impressive. The stamina is incredible. The mosh pit is sick too
Satan is a Lawyer. Clone. It’s really just a matter of taste, because Gojira can be all over the place with each albums sound, it’s all SO GOOD. And Mario is the icing on the cake
