This video has reached a point to where I can’t respond to every comment! Which is a HUGE BLESSING! I’m blessed to be in this moment with y’all.🤘❤️ I WILL REACT TO MORE OF THIS CONCERT. “SHINE ON YOU CRAZY DIAMOND PTS 1-5” has been one of the most requested songs in this comment section for me to listen to. So this will be the next upload! Pink Floyd fans have to be one of the most welcoming fans I’ve ever ran into. Thank you guys for educating me and pointing me in the right direction when it comes to their music and leading me on where to head to next. I’m targeting on uploading that this week! So Subscribe and like if you want to see that! PLEASE KEEP DROPPING MUSIC SUGGESTIONS FROM PINK FLOYD AS WELL AS SOME OTHER BANDS! GOD BLESS AND THANK YOU SO SO MUCH FOR PUSHING ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION!🤘
Awesome reaction. I am a musician and a fan of all genres as long as it is good. That being said, I always return to my roots. Pink Floyd, zeppelin etc. Just touch the soul
I had the fantastic luck of being one of the local workers hired to help with pre-concert construction for this show when it was at Vanderbilt Stadium in Nashville, TN. I got to see the show and then break everything down after. The best word for me to describe the musical experience was that it was transcendent. It was one of the top ten experiences of my life.
56 here. Really made me broaden my perspectives as a young teen. The Wall was my first movie I ever purchased. It cost me $49. I had to save up from my paper route. The video tape took 6 weeks to come in, then I had to pick it up at "Froggy's" in Kailua. The tape format was in *beta!* And I still, to this day, have that tape!
hi Sis...I'm 69 too...didn't we live through some interesting times...and hopefully we learned something of value this time around .. born 1954 LOVE and LIGHT to you!
I'm sorry, I turn 60 in a couple of months. Still prefer the album versions of PF. Live is good, album far better for my rapidly wrinkling ears. However, it's nice to see these kids discovering the likes of PF, Zep and ACDC.
PINK FLOYD IS 1 SINGULAR POWERFUL ENTITY! It can do things like heal the soul to take you on a journey to the inside of your own existence and back like no other "band" has nor possibly can. Im a metal head but I will never have as much love, respect, loyalty & gratitude for another like I do for THE PINK FLOYD
In future reactions, the pausing is no longer existent! That was a huge complaint and I made sure to tighten it up. The latest Pink Floyd reaction actually has no pausing! And the Led Zeppelin recording was recorded prior to everyone’s criticisms. But rest assured, there will be no more! I appreciate your comment and insight! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
This whole concert is off the chart. SORROW will leave you speechless. Their closer RUN LIKE HELL is a sight to see. Their opener SHINE ON YOU CRAZY DIAMOND. “And many more” lol
This particular reaction left me loss for words and then some. Shine on you crazy diamond I think will be the next reaction! Thank you for watching AND commenting! I appreciate it so much! 🤘🤘
@killbimu Apparently they swapped and changed the encores for the different performances / nights. This particular night, Comfortably Numb was the second encore......smooth relaxing and left everyone COMFORTABLY NUMB. Then they closed with the 3rd encore...... A loud, faster Run Like Hell... ...telling the audience its " time to go " and even " where finnished now p' off." lol
@@Rassskle all I’ve ever heard from anyone that have seen them on this world tour is just like you said, they did not change them around at all. I have the DVD and it’s the same as well.
Glad you get it now !! I'm 67 and grew up listening to this type of music. Pink Floyd are legendary. You usually feel like you went somewhere during the song. Kick back and enjoy. Just an incredible guitar solo and song !!
You have just barely scratched the surface of their work. I'm glad you and others in the younger generation are beginning to appreciate and enjoy them.
I’m super glad that I asked for recommendations awhile ago and one of my homies said Pink Floyd. I truly wouldn’t have known what I was missing out on if he didn’t speak up! 🤘
A very old metal rock head here saw Pink Floyd live 3 times. I can only say , You don’t listen to Pink Floyd music you emotionally experienced them. I suggest you do any song from the Pulse concert to start your journey, High Hopes, Sorrow, Learning to Fly or Run Like Hell. You mentioned you were 24 in your video, I would like to suggest Echo’s live in Pompeii 1972 most of the band members were around that age and they were creating incredible music and sounds. I think you’ll see that Pink Floyd is its own genre and way ahead of their time and are generational because younger people are discovering this incredible music. So enjoy the journey God Bless Rock On Stay Safe!🙏🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
So true, the music pushes the emotional ride! I was lucky to be sat in a row just in front of the mixing desk (middle of arena floor) at this concert, and I was truly speechless (even though it was so loud, with no distortion, that you couldn't talk to the guy next to you if you tried)
Hahaha! In order to be a react channel, you have to pause here and there and for this particular reaction, I know I HAD to minimize pausing ESPECIALLY with that amazing solo. You aren’t the first to warn me! But I do appreciate you driving that point home. Thank you so much for watching AND commenting!🤘
The Floyd put a lot of effort into their live performances. Their light shows in particular have used the best technology of the time. When watching them in a live setting have some appreciation of the whole performance.
They made a mini documentary(it's part of the extras on the Pulse live DVD) about the crazy logistics involved with setting up the stage and lighting rigs for this tour. It was the most complicated and expensive stage set and lighting rig ever(which I believe is still a record it holds). It took almost 2 weeks to set up and prepare it for each venue, so they had 2 identical rigs and 2 full road crews who would leapfrog one another around the world, whilst the band was playing at one venue, the other road crew would already be at the next one setting up in advance.
I was lucky enough to have grown up during music's golden age. It's lots of fun to see your generation reacting to the music I grew up with. I won't say all of today's music sucks, but the ones that don't suck you can count on one hand. Great reaction, young man. Pink Floyd is a great rabbit hole to go down. Just remember never to pause during a David Gilmour guitar solo (not that you'd want to). Keep on rockin', my friend.
I saw them live in 1994 during this tour when they played in Chicago at Soldier Field, simply amazing! Best guitarist of all time in my opinion! Nice reaction video as well!
Old geezer here… 66 and a rocker my whole life… pink Floyd was always one of my favorite bands, because sonically everything they did was just so intently woven and interesting. I have nothing against today’s music, but a lot of it is overdubs and auto tune, and basically getting into the notes and just moving things around a bit. Still today’s music can evoke emotions and feelings and that’s what it’s all about isn’t it?❤
I’m 56 and This was one of the top 3 gigs I’ve witnessed. Earls Court was electric. I managed to get tickets through a friend, who couldn’t attend. I paid £200 per ticket. The BEST £400 I ever spent on Live Music. Your FLOYD journey,is just beginning. 😊
I flew from Australia just for this concert, life altering concert. i'm 69 and have been a Floydy for 50 yrs now. i play this in my 12 string guitar most nights. i taught myself to play after hearing wish You Were Here, another brilliant song from this concert !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also it is a sin to pause Pink Floyd for any reason
This concert will go down in history as one of the best EVER. Pink Floyd will live forever& they have been in my life since I was 15 I’m 66 now. Say no more 🥰🙏❤️
I'm a 64-year old man, and this is just some of the music that has been a part of my life since I was a teenager a half-century ago. I had just turned 20 when the studio version was released in 1979. I don't mind that you, or anyone else, pause during a song. You're giving a reaction to a song, and something grabs you about it at a particular moment ...you feel compelled to comment! It makes me smile seeing a younger generation enjoy the music those of us in their 50's and older grew up with.
My late father was at that concert in 1994 (two years before I was born). I remember him telling me what a jaw dropping experience it was and that he was totally mesmerised throughout the entire show. He had seen Pink Floyd a number of times before, including 1980 at Earls Court, during their amlor tour and at Knebworth in 1990, I think he also saw David Gilmour solo in the early 80's. I'm extremely jealous of him.
I would be extremely jealous as well. Feeling Mr Gilmours solo through my computer and headphones in itself was a completely new experience and I can’t fathom how crazy it must’ve been in person. Thank you for sharing that with me. And thank you for watching the video and liking it!🤘
I'm happy to be at the beginning of your Pink Floyd experience. I subscribed after watching your genuine reax to Wish You Were and now this one. One thing that you'll hear a lot about listening to PF music is to listen to full albums. The starter pack is Dark Side of the Moon, WIsh You Were Here (album), and The Wall. All 3 are complete concept albums. Comfortably Numb is from The Wall and WYWH is from that album. When you hear them in context of the entire album, along with some backstory on former bandmate Syd Barrett, it'll take on a whole new meaning and appreciation for you. Keep it up. EDIT TO ADD: also listening to the albums with headphones is a must for immersion.
First, thank you so much for your additional insight!🤘 Second, I’m so excited to dive into them. I have so much music to catch up on that I’m stuck between making reaction content for you guys or popping their albums into my car and really getting that surround sound experience. I’m so in love with this band and I’m super happy that people like yourself keep pushing me to listen to more and more! Thank you for your comment !🤘
I saw this concert at the Rose Bowl in '94 when I was 18. I had been listening to Floyd for 3 years before that but that night changed my life and hopefully seeing this will change yours. To this day Pink Floyd is my absolute favorite band and believe it or not, this is not even my favorite song from the band. They have so many "life changing" tracks but I would recommend you take the time to listen to Shine On You Crazy Diamond. You need to experience it.
There is one thing that few people speak about when reacting to Pink Floyd Live concert videos that, I think, deserves mention: the amazing camera work! While the music of this band has ALWAYS spoken for itself, the lighting effects in combination with the cameras are also a major part of their undying heart-stirring music. When the cameras zoom in on Gilmour when he is in a fantastic guitar solo is mesmerizing to me, especially when the lights on stage go completely dark except for a single spot on David as he makes magic with that guitar (10:00). It's saying, like "this man is a singular phenomenon", as he stirs the heart and takes you to another plane, another place you did not expect to go. Amazing!! Thank you for this reaction video.
I grew up listening to Pink Floyd, Zeppelin, Stones, Deep Purple, Jethro Tull, Hendrix, all the greatest music bands in the greatest era of music. Floyd & Zepplin were my 2 favourites!
Great reaction to one of the greatest songs and band. Nice to see you immersed yourself in the music and feeling. So glad we didn't have cellphones back in 1994 so we could all just enjoy the Pulse concert live without distractions.
I was 30 years old when I realized my dream of seeing this concert live by the group that marked, with its music, every day of my adolescence. Today, 30 years later, I discover that many of you young people are rediscovering this music... Guys I really have shivers and I feel a warmth warming my heart. Let the heart of this group continue to beat forever... I wish you all the luck
Me too. I was 19. I wasn't ready for my mind to be blown away to the point that I still haven't fully recovered from it almost 30yrs later... and I never will.
I wasn’t at that concert tour but did see them in the mid 70’s and in the 80’s. One of my favorite bands started with them in 69. You will enjoy “Time” especially at your age, you might think of life differently. Great Gig in the Sky should follow immediately. The whole Dark Side of the Moon full thru.😎
You should check out the entire 'Pulse' concert. One of the finest live performances captured. You are watching the band at the apex of their musical skills. The stage/lighting show cost 25 million--in 1994. The band was always cutting edge musically and visually. They never considered themselves 'rock stars'; they are/were musicians. I did not see the Pulse tour, but was lucky to see them live 2x back in the day. One never sees live performance the same after having a PF experience.
I was there im 52 now , wow yeah im 52 now. I just gotta say seeing it on video ia srill got that emotional feeling . But being there live was the most unbelievable thing my eyes ever witnessed. And the instrumental magic in the air was so beautiful. There wasnt a dry eye in the audience. Everyone was tripping balls. It was out of this world. PINK FLOYD GREATEST BAND MADE BY GOD HIMSELF.
... Live, Musicians Singing and Playing an Instrument at the same time, No "Auto Tune," simply incredible Talent. Consider too that Pink Floyd began in 1965, so basically 30 years before this concert adds to the phenomenon, which is "Pink Floyd." I got to see them Live in 1973, in San Francisco, while they were promoting their New Album "The Dark Side Of The Moon." Still the very best concert that I've EVER experienced. They are quite unique. There has never been any Band like them before and unfortunately there will never be any Band like them again and I use the word "Unfortunately" because each of the Musicians are in their 70's now, (2024), and soon will be gone from our planet. Very sad day coming. Remain Well & reasonably Happy too. Keep Smiling... Cheers...
I went to one of the PULSE shows at Earl’s Court. It was every bit as good as you would imagine. ‘One Of These Days’, ‘Wish You Were Here’ and ‘Astronomy Dominé’ from that show were just a few of my favourites. So glad you enjoyed it. 🤘🏻
I've been listening to Pink Floyd since the early 70's. Pink Floyd is by far the best band to step on stage or a studio. Really the biggest difference is you will experience their music more than just listening to it. To put them into perspective their album Dark Side of the Moon was on the charts for over 18 years. This will be an amazing musical journey for you. Enjoy ✌️
I read that it’s a true story from a rock star’s perspective. The pressure to be on stage, on time, on demand, regardless of any health problems mental or physical.
I enjoying seeing younger generations like yourself discover Pink Floyd, I Hope that you continue to see how far the Pink Floyd rabbit hole goes, I would suggest that you checkout the entire Pulse Concert, then continue your journey from there, I'm sure it will be a journey you will be greatful to have taken, God Bless.
That’s so awesome. I’m glad you have some really good memories connected with your concert experience AND you had a boss that was on the same wavelength. What a blessing!!
I was fortunate enough to see this concert twice, and it's still the best. Shine on was great but I recommend listening to the original off the album Wish You Were Here. Its a masterpiece, one of many. They can't do full song in concert, its about a half hour long itself! You will appreciate the genius and insane talent of these guys!
I most certainly will! Thank you for the love and the recommendations! They will be loaded into the reaction playlist 🤘❤️ I LOVE this Pulse concert so far!
Hi bud, I know a lot of folk are suggesting to react to certain other songs from this same concert, and I can't argue that they're great songs also & well worth a watch... But, before you do, I'd suggest listening to Shine On You Crazy Diamond, official video version. It's from the same album Wish You Were here is on, & is one of their biggest & best tracks. It's a tribute to a founding main member Syd Barrett, who had to leave due to mental illness brought on by the use of psychedelics. He had been out the band for a lot of years when they decided to write this song, they hadn't kept in touch, because his family didn't think it would be a good idea. But on the day the band went to record this song, there was a large man in the studios, none of them knew who he was. After a short while it was pointed out to them it was Syd, but he looked totally different. So for whatever strange reason after years of not being in touch, the guy they wrote the tribute about just turned up at the studio on the day of recording.
I'm an old man. Now you understand. I grew up listening to this kind of music and there is SO MUCH good music from back in the day. Enjoy the journey. You'll never be the same. Here's another great group - Procol Harum. The piece is called A Whiter Shade of Pale. ua-cam.com/video/St6jyEFe5WM/v-deo.html
For those of us familiar with this Floyd video, I wonder how many of us saw your reaction to Gilmour’s first solo on this piece and thought “Dude, you ain’t heard nothing yet.”
I'm happy, as an old man who grew up with this art, that young people like @killbimu react to this old pieces of music because they take care that it will be not forgotten. Young people should get the chance to take notice of this old music. Go on, explore Led Zeppelin, Queen, Marillion, Genesis, Rush, Saga, and so much more older music. It was just a better time for musicians, today they are replaced by computers...
I loved it when you said, "I can't pause it...." I can not count the times I've listened to this song and just let that guitar carry me away. David Gilmour is a master at emoting through his music. I've been listening to these guys for over 50 years and it never gets old.
Great reaction and well done for following the golden rule when listening to a David Gilmour guitar solo- never pause it! Anything from this concert will immerse you in a truly unique music experience, enjoy the Pink Floyd rabbit hole
YES!! I was warned not too so I surely didn’t pause it! As a channel that does reaction content, pausing and giving comments and feelings is a big part of the formula. I had to go off the rails for this one! Thanks for the comment and enjoying the video!
Today's music (for the most part) is like watching a movie in black and white on a 10" screen with a 3" speaker comapared to these classic master pieces which are like seeing a movie on an IMAX screen with a theater sound system. You are right about seeing them live. I saw this tour in the old Cowboys Stadium along with about 80,000 other people and for the most part, people just sat and watched and listened in awe. No whooping and yelling during the songs, just soaking it all in.
Saw them in 1970 in the Chi.for the first time. Dude dove headfirst into the orchestra pit. Lotta 'cid in those days. Do "One of These Days " from this same concert. That's the song from the pit diver.
Not sure it has been mentioned yet but here goes, Pink Floyd album's are like a book and each song is a chapter in that book. So to get the full understanding of the story it should be listened to from first chapter to last chapter. Shine on you Crazy Diamond I-V and VI-IX should be on your list of songs for sure. I would suggest when you get to "The Great Gig in the Sky" that you first listen to the studio version before hearing a live version. As far as other bands...so many to mention from that era of music. Led Zeppelin, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Cream, Three Dog Night, Blood Sweat & Tears, Chicago, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Steely Dan, Queen, Robin Trower, Peter Frampton, Supertramp...and on and on. You could try anyone of those bands for some great real music.
I’m 59. I saw Floyd live 4 times, and it still wasn’t enough 😂. My first concert was at age 15 when my uncle took me to the Wall concert in LA. It was life changing for me. I had been. Floyd fan before the event but they just blew me away live. I’ll never forget the euphoric emotion of being there
I saw Pink Floyd on this Pulse tour at The Alamodome in San Antonio in 1994. There were 47,000 fans and I had 18th row seats on the floor. An experience of a lifetime! I also previously saw them in 1987 in Austin. (and your assessment of today's music is spot on!). I highly recommend "High Hopes" from this Pulse tour, as well as "Run Like Hell" (And don't close your eyes for that song!! One of the greatest visual performances ever!!!)
I’ve seen “Run Like Hell” suggested a couple times! I’ll be sure to load it up! Thanks for that suggestion and for liking and commenting on this video!❤️🤘
There is "Music" and there is "Pink Floyd". They brings you somewhere out of your mind! 50 years ago Pink Floyd were already 200 years ahead of everybody!
Nice job man. You've just watched what many feel is the best guitar solo ever played. It's always about the feelings the music creates. Pink Floyd were masters. David Gilmour isn't the flashiest guitarist, but every note is just the right note. Please watch Stevie Ray Vaughan, Texas Flood, Live from the El Mocambo. You won't believe it.
If you enjoyed the guitar solo by David Gilmour, try the group Wishbone Ash. They were the originators of using dual lead guitars. On their first album titled simply Wishbone Ash, listen to Phoenix and Handy. I'm sure you will enjoy them. Also another Wishbone Ash song that is all instrumental is F.U.B.B. The guitar work is simply amazing!
Next, go back 23 more years to 1971 when they were in their 20s and just finding their real groove. "Echoes, Live at Pompeii" ua-cam.com/video/MKVH9WvTPxA/v-deo.html
Another masterpiece is "Shine On You Crazy Diamond", both part 1-5 and part 6-9 are worth the shot. Kind of mix genres of blues, prog, funk, and psychedelic hell idk.
Try this out for another music trip: dire straits: --> telegraph road. And ... for a better feeling, maybe try out better headphones! I'm very lucky that this kind of music gets a revival!! And I like your reaction - not looking for visual effects, just diving deep into the music! Great bros! Continue your journey!
Thank you for the suggestions and I will most definitely invest into something better for the channel! Something that’ll heighten my experience even more! Thank you for your comment!
I was lucky enough to have seen Pink Floyd 3 times. Once in the 70's, 80's & 90's including this Pulse tour. I have seen pretty much all of the Super groups from all those decades. Most every concert I have seen was great, but Pink Floyd is more of an experience than a show. People I have taken to see them live, are speechless afterwards...
Pink Floyd 'set the controls for the heart of the sun' in the mid-1960s, and got there. You should check out 'Grantchester Meadows' and 'On the Turning Away'.
Welcome to the brotherhood, my friend! And I don't think folks of my generation think of current music as garbage. (Well, not all of it.) We just think.....our music was better. (insert smug smile here) And there's a LOT more good music from the 70's and 80's to be reacted to. Regarding "Comfortably Numb", it's from their double-album, "The Wall". It's the story of fictional young man named Pink Floyd, who wants to grow up to be a rock star. Over the course of the album, he achieves his goal, but at a cost. As the song begins, Pink has come to realize that he has turned away everyone who ever cared for him, and who was willing to tell him the truth. Now he's surrounded himself with greedy managers and promoters, yes-men who are only using him to make money. He hates his life, but has no way to escape it. So in his desperation, he turns to self-medication - drug use. As the song begins, it's one night before a concert, and Pink is too stoned to play. The promoter is afraid he'll have to give refunds, which he hates to do. So he calls in a local doctor. The doctor has no idea what's going on, so he begins by trying to assess Pink's condition. The lyrics are a conversation between the doctor, and then Pink. Pink's incredibly soothing music reflects his state of mind; he's blissfully distant from all his troubles ("You are only coming through in waves, Your lips move, but I can't hear what you're saying") The doctor, still not learning much about what Pink may have taken, throws together Dr. Feelgood's All-Star Top-Drawer Fix-For-What-Ails-Ya Formula, injects Pink with it ("Just a little pinprick") and shoves him out on stage. David Gilmour's first solo is while Pink is still comfortably numb; it soars and dives and rises again. It's pure emotional bliss, set to music. His second solo is after the shot has kicked in, and Pink has been sobered up. He's forced to confront the life he hates - his loneliness, his self-loathing, his depression, his rage....it's all in there. Gilmour is simply brilliant. Bassist and principal songwriter Roger Waters (who had left the band nearly a decade before this performance) wrote the song based on his own personal experience. While touring in 1977, Roger took ill before a concert in Philadelphia. A local doctor was brought in, but apparently in that case there was a diagnosis of hepatitis. Still, the shot Roger was given left him confused on stage, with numb hands for much of the show. I had the privilege of seeing this show at Sun Devil Stadium, with 70, 000 of my closest friends. It was even better than the video can show. Throughout the entire show, the lights were tightly coordinated with the music, to the point where I remember thinking to myself that I have to stop grinning stupidly at the light show, or I was going to miss the music. It was almost like another performer. Couple of other details about the show ~ PF had speakers set up around the perimeter of the stadium, so parts of music, or sometimes just sounds, could come at you from behind, or the other side of the arena, or anywhere. Once the lights went down, you quickly developed a sense that you were a part of Pink Floyd's reality. It's one reason why it was said that seeing Pink Floyd live was a truly unique experience. Another major reason why, on this particular tour (to support their last studio album, "The Division Bell") you felt like you were a visitor to the Floydverse was that MASSIVE stage. Even in an American football stadium, that stage dominated the venue. Enormous and all black, 180 feet across, a 130-foot arch ENCRUSTED with layers upon layers of lights, three days to set it up, two more to take it down, and three of these stages leap-frogging each other around the world. I'm sure others will confirm...the live show was even better than it looks. This turned out to be their last tour together (save for the odd one-off performances here and there) and they may have just decided to blow it all out and end it on top. They surely did that - I've seen a lot of concerts, and I've never seen a better one than PULSE (BTW, the name derives from the original CD release, which came out before the video releases, and which had a red LED in the spine that flashed, or 'pulsed'). Generally speaking, the PULSE versions will be the best ones to review, although you also do need to listen to the album versions at some point. I would suggest "Sorrow", "High Hopes", or "Time". The PULSE version of the last two songs on their EPIC 1973 album, "The Dark Side Of The Moon", (which they performed in it's entirety during one segment of the PULSE concert tour) "Brain Damage / Eclipse" would also be an excellent choice. As far as other artists of this era, one very good choice would be Billy Joel. While he was making music, it seemed every other hit song was his. (He has TWO greatest hits collections) For starters, try "Piano Man" a true story of when he had to live and work undercover, or "Scenes From An Italian Restaurant". When asked what song he was proudest of, his choice was "And So It Goes", an achingly poignant song, very simple and uncomplicated. Thanks for reacting to this, brother! It was fun re-discovering it again through your eyes. Keep up the good work.
Great to see the young crew of the World finally realise how much good taste us old feckers had. I was very fortunate to go to 6 nights in a row of these ''Pulse'' concerts in 1994 and go on to see Gilmour and Waters quite a few times since then. All the best from Scotland.
I'm biased as I was at earls court in 94, but you can't go wrong with any of the live songs at the Pulse Concert. Sorrow and the turning away were probably my fav from that concert. Shine on you crazy diamond (all Parts) will always be my favourite music to listen to.
It's a bit unfair to compare today's music with the 70's, 80s and 90's. However, there are several artists in the last decade that take their craft seriously. For instance, Steven Wilson of Porcupine Tree fame is a master of his craft (my son got me into his music), and I'm sure there are several others one can speak highly of. But I do feel lucky to have been around when Pink Floyd began, along with all the other great groups of those days. I did watch the Pulse Concert at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena California in 1994. It was simply an amazing concert. Thank you for spreading your wings, and I hope your channel thrives!
All though Pink Floyd is #2 in sales around the world a lot of their music didn't get played on the radio do to length of time . Not 4 beat 4 minute songs. like you tube do to copyrights. The disco ball is a FU to music critics who said they won't sell because they don't play dance & love songs, Look up 1983 album cover " Pink Floyd collection of dance songs". 200,000 watts of power, 128 wireless speakers, outdoor needed FAA clearance for lasers.
Fair play to you for nor pausing during the solo. I've heard this many times and it still gives me goosebumps and shivers. This has got to be about the best guitar solos ever, bar none.
Thank you for the compliment and thank you for watching! And isn’t it so amazing that their tracks and STILL do that for you and others after being gone for so long? Music really is timeless and I make sure to appreciate it every chance I get 🤘
The band name came from 2 managers, pinkney (pink) Andersen and floyd council, the album is really a whole story about beginning of life, its many struggles, and then death, dark side of the moon is similar, so much to learn about pink floyd and founding band member syd barret (RIP) and alot of the story's revolve around him,
This is one song where I like the live version better than the album version (yes, I still have my vinyl copy...). Imagine laying in a bean-bag chair with headphones and just the right amount of buzz...and listening to this.... Life was good....
I subscribed to your channel after watching your two Pink Floyd reactions. Pretty much any track from the 94 Earl's Court P.U.L.S.E. concert will get you familiarised with their bigger hits. David Gilmour has his own music out which is very similar in sound but is definitely his own personal music. Enjoy!
That was so wonderful, your emotional reaction to Comfortably Numb, That guitar solo was just bliss. Maybe try Dark Side Of The Moon which is amazing listen but listen all in one go. If you do i promise you will feel so emotional to hear the track "The Great Gig In The Sky
I’m 68 and was introduced to PF my senior year in high school to Dark SIDE OF THE MOON, which is their best album. Dude, that rabbit hole is so deep, you’ll never get to the bottom of, but try your best to! I thoroughly enjoyed your reaction, and can’t wait for more classic rock reactions! Thanks!
Yes indeed, you ‘get’ this music. Welcome to the Pink Floyd journey. My favorite is: “Shine on You Crazy Diamond” (Parts I-V and Parts VI-IX) on the studio version of the “Wish You Were Here” album. Enjoy this ‘timeless’ music.
This video has reached a point to where I can’t respond to every comment! Which is a HUGE BLESSING! I’m blessed to be in this moment with y’all.🤘❤️
I WILL REACT TO MORE OF THIS CONCERT.
You have only scratched the surface of Pink Floyd ! Good luck !
High Hopes from Pulse it’s the best.👍😎🇨🇦
... you are awesome, KillBimu. Welcome aboard...
`
I'm 51 and have heard this song, literally thousands of times. I still get goosebumps. Every. Single. Time.
72, ditto.
Glad to know it’s a thing cause I’m the same
It can actually get better. This time almost shattered my being then brought it back together.
Yep.
I'm a 69-year-old woman I had the experience of Pink Floyd back then now I get to watch you enjoyed it as much as I did
That’s so awesome. Thank you for enjoying this moment with me!🤘 I’ll be sure to keep it up!
hi Sis...I'm 69 too...didn't we live through some interesting times...and hopefully we learned something of value this time around .. born 1954 LOVE and LIGHT to you!
I'm 67 and feel the same. David Gilmour's guitar solo is the best ever! 😎
I'm sorry, I turn 60 in a couple of months. Still prefer the album versions of PF. Live is good, album far better for my rapidly wrinkling ears. However, it's nice to see these kids discovering the likes of PF, Zep and ACDC.
Welcome to the world of real music, written and played by real musicians, keep up the appreciation bud! 🤙
Consider your self really lucky you have listened to/ experienced what probably the best guitar solo on the planet.
YES! I was thinking of music I like listening too today and I still don’t think I have anyone in mind that could beat out this guitar solo. Sheesh.
not probably the best guitar solo. The guitar solo.
David Gilmour can express more in three frets than most can shred in an entire song
Probably the most extraordinary live performance by any band - anytime - anywhere.... "The child has grown, the dream is gone."
Pink Floyd isn't just music it's an experience
Truly is! I’m super glad I got into them.
Truer words were never spoken.
Such a shame he keeps stopping it, you just can't pause a Pink Floyd track. It isn't done.
Floyd right from their inception were always an audio/visual experience, every live performance is to be seen and heard , masters at their craft
Sorrow is fantastic.
@killbimu
Apparently they swapped and changed the encores for the different performances / nights.
@@killbimu Shine On You Crazy Diamond has two halves. The first half is parts 1-5 and the second is parts 6-9. I highly recommend both.
I'm 48 years old and I listen to PF every day. It's almost therapy.
Now that would be a Super Bowl halftime show I would watch...
You’ll get Taylor Swift or Billie Eilish, or Lizzo or Cardi B.or some other scheit.
@frankpuncekar5051 David Gilmour live in Pompeii is well worth a watch too if you haven't seen it. I've seen both many times.
So true, the music pushes the emotional ride!
I was lucky to be sat in a row just in front of the mixing desk (middle of arena floor) at this concert, and I was truly speechless (even though it was so loud, with no distortion, that you couldn't talk to the guy next to you if you tried)
Pausing is cool but please remember that pausing a David Gilmour guitar solo is against the laws of maths, maths, nature and presumably god 😅😅
Will do! Thanks for the comment and advice!
I'm definitely here for you discovering the greatest band ever
Pink Floyd are brilliantly different.
Brilliantly is definitely the correct word to use in this context! Cause WOW🤯
Still today’s music can evoke emotions and feelings and that’s what it’s all about isn’t it?❤
From this same concert, "Coming Back to Life" is wonderful. Probably one of the most beautiful guitar solos you will ever experience.
I’ll be sure to load it into the playlists! Thank you for the recommendation!🤘
Pink Floyd will live forever& they have been in my life since I was 15
I’m 66 now.
Please listen to the whole show, Pulse. They play some of their greatest hits including the entire Dark Side of the Moon album.
dive, dive, dive brother
The smile on your face when your eyes are closed says it all
I saw this concert at the Rose Bowl in '94 when I was 18.
Pink Floyd is like Love, once you experience it, you never want to be without it!
Enjoy the Pink Floyd journey you have no idea what your in for! Great reaction
There are supergroups, and then there is this band standing on those groups shoulders. ... 'PINK FLOYD'
Agree, they are not your typical band, and David Gilmour playing ''Yet another movie'' inspired me to start playing the guitar.
Guitarists--Hendrix . . . and then everyone else. Bands-Floyd . . . and then everyone else--
Great reaction to one of the greatest songs and band.
I was there and saw it live. Life changing. By far, greatest concert and greatest guitar solo I've ever heard and seen. Great reaction!!! Thank you!!!
Me too. I was 19. I wasn't ready for my mind to be blown away to the point that I still haven't fully recovered from it almost 30yrs later... and I never will.
A classical musician who has a reaction channel with 116000 subs called this song transcendental.
5:36 "I think we got a solo ahead of us" ...yes indeed, and what a solo :)
If you don't have goosebumps listening to Pink Floyd.......you are obviously dead!!!😂😂🇬🇧
SO. MANY. GOOSEBUMPS. I’m truly discovering some really great music. Thanks for the comment!❤️🤘
... Live, Musicians Singing and Playing an Instrument at the same time, No "Auto Tune," simply incredible Talent. Consider too that Pink Floyd began in 1965, so basically 30 years before this concert adds to the phenomenon, which is "Pink Floyd."
I got to see them Live in 1973, in San Francisco, while they were promoting their New Album "The Dark Side Of The Moon." Still the very best concert that I've EVER experienced.
I saw them in Raleigh NC in 94. I had just started a new job the day before and had to ask for the next day off. Lucky the boss understood.
You will appreciate the genius and insane talent of these guys!
great reaction, you should try SORROW, ON THE TURNING AWAY, HIGH HOPES from
the same pulse concert
I most certainly will! Thank you for the love and the recommendations! They will be loaded into the reaction playlist 🤘❤️ I LOVE this Pulse concert so far!
Excellent suggestions. On the Turning Away is from the Delicate Sound of Thunder concert. 🤘🏽✌🏽💜
All parts of Shine On You Crazy Diamond.
I loved it when you said, "I can't pause it...."
I can not count the times I've listened to this song and just let that guitar carry me away. David Gilmour is a master at emoting through his music. I've been listening to these guys for over 50 years and it never gets old.
Run Like Hell, One Of These Days, Great Gig In The Sky, Keep Talking, Coming Back To Life ... this show is timeless.
@killbimu loved your comments and reaction to this song, watching this concert was what got me into Pink Floyd, please keep them coming
Great Reaction! Sorrow from the pulse concert is awesome also! Time , Money, Wish You Were Here, Keep Talking all Pulse concert
No whooping and yelling during the songs, just soaking it all in.
thanks for sharing / welcome to the machine Brother, hold on this might take a while ... we cannot let this art die out .. play it forward
Saw them in 1970 in the Chi.for the first time. Dude dove headfirst into the orchestra pit. Lotta 'cid in those days. Do "One of These Days " from this same concert. That's the song from the pit diver.
That’s so awesome that you were there for that! Thank you for the suggestion and I’ll be sure to load it into the playlists 🤘🤘
Close your eyes when you listen to the record, not while watching a video! One of the things that makes Pink Floyd great is the visual experience.
I’m 59. I saw Floyd live 4 times, and it still wasn’t enough 😂. My first concert was at age 15 when my uncle took me to the Wall concert in LA. It was life changing for me. I had been. Floyd fan before the event but they just blew me away live. I’ll never forget the euphoric emotion of being there
I was there. Best gig I’ve ever been to.
So jealous!
You just been "Floyd" Alive ! Hope You'll do a few more from the "Pulse" concert ! !
I don't think they played "On the turning away" at this concert. It was on the "Delicate sounds of thunder" tour.
I fully plan on checking out more live performances for them because of this comment! Thanks a lot for watching and enjoying!🤘
A wonderful reaction.. I love seeing someone hearing this for the first time 💜
It's a bit unfair to compare today's music with the 70's, 80s and 90's.
Sure is real, ain't it? I was at Pulse 95 in Pittsburgh, PA...words can not describe the experience.
Thank you, I was there and I'm 70!!
Your about to find out that Pink Floyd are one of the best bands ever
I am slowly but surely discovering that. 🤘🤘
I was in 1997 in France. The concert was epic.
Very cool man! I dig it!
David is not a guitar player, he is a story teller with the guitar! He is playing the guitar after 2 hours concert just as well as the beginning!
welcome to pink floyd world. Its nice to see when a new person discovers this path of music
I saw them during this tour at what was once known as Giants Stadium in East Rutherford N.J.
