nobody talks about the speakers: 2 towers next to the stage, 1 towers on each side, and 2 towers in your back. WE were INSIDE the music 🥰 i am 56 and i have seen them live 7 times....nothing beats PF.
I was excited about going to this concert, but none of my friends were interested, so I went by myself and had a fantastic time. After the concert, I decided it was time to find some better friends.
Background singers are there to sing the parts that he overdubbed for the album like the Beatles used to do. The difference is the Beatles didn't have the technology to reproduce this live. David Gilmour said The Beatles, greatest band of all time. They were recording at Abbey Road at the same time as the Beatles and sat in on Sergeant Pepper, didn't play but influenced
The big disco ball is highly symbolic. First of all, it wasn't seen until the lights spotted it. It was simply not there. It was hidden in a box in the ceilling. So when it got lit, you can understand why the audience went wild. When it opens up and show the shining diamond that's inside, a direct reference to Shine On Your Crazy Diamond (which refer to Syd Barrett), the fans understands!
Hi! I would like to share my personal experience with you. I was present on that particular day, even though I was quite young. After the concert, we strolled in silence, reflecting on the phenomenal performance, looking at the stage sometimes, just to remember this moment forever before we left for good. I also recall the scent of joints, particularly near the stage (yes, it was prohibited, but… it’s Pink Floyd, isn’t it? Some fans couldn’t help themselves!). Now, whenever I listen to this guitar solo, I’m reminded of how the sound enveloped us: it was awe-inspiring, immense, massive, imposing, powerful, yet impeccably clear! It was incredibly striking and overwhelming. It felt as if the grand, gigantic, potent, and majestic Pink Floyd machine was directly linked to our souls! And I can assure you, we were all resonating. Most of the time, during a concert, people are engaged in conversations, laughter, and enjoying themselves; but during this concert, everyone was utterly captivated. There were no disruptive or bothersome individuals. Everyone was simply "in sync". It was as if we were in an alternate universe where everything was utterly distinct. It was an extraordinary, surreal, and unique experience, almost "magical", so to speak. And the crowd was massive, with around 16,300 attendees. I’ve held onto the tickets, by the way, hehe - And to this day, I take pride in declaring, _"I WAS THERE, WITH PINK FLOYD THAT DAY!"_
I was in the hospital and was having a heart attack. The Rapid Response team tried glycercine spray and just about had the paddles ready when they gave me a doze of morphine intraveonously. and that cease the cardiac issue and knocked and knocked me out. Apparently as I was waking up, I was singing "Comfortably Numb".
I was there. 1994 in San Antonio at The Alamodome with 47,000 fans. Had 18th row seats on the floor and it was an experience of a lifetime!! Had also previously seen them in 1987 in Austin on the Momentary Lapse of Reason tour.
I know I am seeing this 6 months after posting but I have NEVER seen a post including my 2 favorite things of all time in one video... Pink Floyd and the University of Kentucky. Just a fun fact... I saw the Pink Floyd Pulse tour in New Orleans in the Superdome in 1994. Fast-forward to 2012 , I was also at the Superdome when UK took their eighth title. This is my first time seeing you guys and it's a definite subscription. Go Big Blue (and Pink!!!!)
I once played this song to a girlfriend that I had. And after listening to it, she turned to me and said, "You actually like that song?" That is when I slowed down the car. Came to a stop. Opened my door. Walked over to her side. Kindly opened her door. And kindly said, "Peace Out Girl!"
My favorite part is what every reviewer does after watching this for the first time or even after: they just sit there and stare for a minute, which is the exact same thing I do when watching. You didn't just witness a song being played, you went through an experience that leaves you transfixed for a moment. One thumb half way down for the 4th of July comment, as it was a little tasteless and better left unsaid, but two thumbs up for everything else you guys do on all the reviews I have watched. Enjoyed your faces watching him shred that solo.
Probably the most played video on UA-cam great song and spectacle. For me though it's still year of the cat as the best reaction by you guys lost count of the times I've viewed it.
I live 15 mins away to where this concert was held and gutted that I missed it all,im really surprised you haven't reacted to sorrow from the same concert, guitar solo is amazing once again.
Such a great statement. With hearing Clapton trying to be the lead on waters’ pros and cons of hitchhiking, you can hear how outmatched he is compared to Gilmore. Taking nothing from Clapton, but trying to capture the emotion needed to express Rogers’ ideas is no easy task. Gilmore reigns supreme in the emotional expression category with that instrument and it’s not even close.
To experience that concert....my god that was incredible... I saw them in Dortmond, West Germany (then)...this show though...first time I saw it was on PBS I swear...I was flipping through channels and came across the tail end of Comfortably Numb....one usually does not associate Pink Floyd with Public Broadcasting....LOL ....
When you want to react to a Pink Floyd song, do yourself a huge favor and see if they performed it at the Pulse Concert...I'll never listen to studio "Comfortably Numb" again. Please react to "Sorrow" from this same concert...great reaction guys, Merry Christmas..
It was amazing , I was there in 1994 Earls Court in London , a great concert arena but sadly the Earls Court arena is now gone, made way for blocks of flats !! But what a night to remember.
I sold my Sqiure Strat (which I couldn't play at the time) to the second hand shop just so I could get the ticket for this gig back in the day. Never regretted it.
I went to the Kansas City show, the latest remastered video is closer to what it looked like, but still much of the lighting is lost to contrast. The show is still the best concert I have attended.
Yes mate. The best gig I've ever been to, before & since! What a journey on a double-decker bus from Glasgow-London & return... I've never been on a bus since LOL. But we all had a good smoke haha. Great memories never to be repeated actually!
Totally agree. I saw this tour in DC, and it was absolutely mind-blowing. Edit: forgot to mention that the sound quality in the stadium was amazing. Crystal clear surround sound
I was there and it was one hell of a concert. I had to go to the toilet for a pee during one of the songs. Thankfully it was empty. I started to relieve myself when an elderly guy stood next to me. I glanced to my left and it was no other than George Martin. While we were washing our hands I asked him if he was enjoying the show. He said "yes, they are very good". He said goodbye and left.
Guys…..you just witnessed, in my opinion, the greatest live guitar solo of all time. There are many many great solos out there, jazz, blues, rock, etc…..but that hits your soul. The emotion and musical magic of that solo, has no equal. YOU MUST DO MORE FROM THIS ALBUM. Try Sorrow next.👍😍🇨🇦
You're not alone, I saw this tour and was blown away by the light show, but never heard Gilmour make that axe cry like this before, and I saw The Wall too in 1980.
That was the first real concert I went to. 1994 CNE in Toronto. They are absolutely my favorite ever...Gilmour the absolute best!! When I tell people I went, I never say I went to thier concert...I always say it's an experience. I have watched this a million times. It's life changing every time. Little tid bit...I am 51 sooo...when cd's were cool. I remember standing in line waiting for the double CD to come out. I am in Canada so it was Sam The Record Man store. They had piles of these covering the widows as a display and other than the doors you couldn't see in cause there were so many. It was a double set that came in a nice book and jacket...then it inserted into a book sleeve...very nice. But the badass cool thing was they all had a pulsing red light built into the binding. I mean that's original. No excitement like that with digital age. I wish I would have bought a bunch cause it was original press. I bet that light flashed for 3 years. Good you boys appreciate 🍻
Notice the lighting difference during the vocals. When wright and the other musicians are singing it’s red and dark. When David sings the lights change to all white. And the shot of the crowd facing the stage at the beginning Of the second solo. No one is moving, completely into the vibe of the song. I saw this tour on Fla. totally engrossed.
Now you know why guitars want David Gilmour for Christmas. I've had the privilege of seeing Floyd several times, including this tour in '94. While the video is great, being there takes it 12 layers higher. They may not change your life, but Pink Floyd will change your soul. Cheers....
I couldn't afford to go to the Earl's Court Pulse concert, so I stood in awe in Battersea Park and watched the laser show light up the Misty northern sky. It was close enough to hear the music drifting over to me on the South side of the River Thames. It was a special moment in the history of music and I was overjoyed when I got myself a copy of the live album later.
David Gilmour turning up like a plumber to do the sink, then teaches everybody how to play the guitar....that second solo is off the scale best guitar solo ever bar none
Glad to see people discovering the music of my younger years. I have seen Floyd like 8 or 9 times, 3 times on this tour alone (although not at this particular show). I dont think any other band immerses you in the experience like Floyd. There is obviously the stage, but they have things going on behind you, above, all around you. Floating pigs, a plane that flies across and crashes. Add the lighting, the volume, the energy of the place, it really is life changing. I really feel sad that you guys, well all of us, will never get to be apart of something like this ever again. I am glad we have these recordings at least. I wish there were more from the older days.
Someone may have mentioned those rotating speakers are called Leslie’s and apparently they introduce a phased effect to the sound. PF studio tracks are perfect, they show their skill at a particular point in time. Live one’s often show how that same track has developed/ matured/ grown almost taking on a life of its own and how the musicians have grown with it.
I remember being there something i'll never forget an experience of a lifetime Rammstein are the same a must see band while you can live an experience of a lifetime .
What is in the water in England the past 60+ years? First you have the Beatles, then The Who, then Pink Floyd, then the greatest band to ever grace Planet Earth, Led Zeppelin, and now you have one of the top vocalists ever in Lucy Thomas?!! What gives?!!
I like how you guys replayed the short solo, not even realizing what was yet to come.
Pink Floyd Forever Legend !!!!!
the stunned silence at the end of that facemelting solo 🤣
nobody talks about the speakers: 2 towers next to the stage, 1 towers on each side, and 2 towers in your back. WE were INSIDE the music 🥰 i am 56 and i have seen them live 7 times....nothing beats PF.
Oh what???? 7 times??? Faaaark!!! I've always missed them
I'm so spewing
Can we swap memories?
Music of the gods performed by the gods of music
Pink Floyd fans know you don't listen to there music you FEEL there music
Incredible!!! Any more words would muddy the performance.
I was there at that very concert. AWESOME !!!
Hypnotizing
Pink Floyd and Classic Prog is always better Live, Prog has the Greatest musicians !! 👍🎼🎸🎹🥁🎻🎤🎶
I was excited about going to this concert, but none of my friends were interested, so I went by myself and had a fantastic time. After the concert, I decided it was time to find some better friends.
YESSSSSSSSSSSS
😂
Facts..😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂
still call them friends....? haha right ✅️
Background singers are there to sing the parts that he overdubbed for the album like the Beatles used to do. The difference is the Beatles didn't have the technology to reproduce this live. David Gilmour said The Beatles, greatest band of all time. They were recording at Abbey Road at the same time as the Beatles and sat in on Sergeant Pepper, didn't play but influenced
That was the best 'guitar face' I have seen in a reaction video yet!
80,000 lights in that show! Unreal.
Orgasmic! The only adjective I can bring to mind that describes this , especially the second solo.
yes a splendid version !
What a beautiful heart felt comment
I DID see that live. Alamodome in Texas 1995!!!!!! Thank you gentlemen….!!!!
The big disco ball is highly symbolic.
First of all, it wasn't seen until the lights spotted it. It was simply not there. It was hidden in a box in the ceilling. So when it got lit, you can understand why the audience went wild.

and again guys, believe me, the two most brilliant groups are pink floyd and queen
Guys, I was at this show in Raleigh, NC. Amazing, Best Show Ever!
Me and my wife went to one of those shows. It was fantastic.
I was there and yeah it was life changing to this day
I was there. 1994 in San Antonio at The Alamodome with 47,000 fans. Had 18th row seats on the floor and it was an experience of a lifetime!! Had also previously seen them in 1987 in Austin on the Momentary Lapse of Reason tour.

Got to see them twice… once in England and once here in Montreal,Canada and both times they blew us away.
My favorite part is what every reviewer does after watching this for the first time or even after: they just sit there and stare for a minute, which is the exact same thing I do when watching. Cool. Thanks for sharing.
Pink Floyd!!!❤❤❤❤❤
It just doesn't get any better than that!!!
From what I've seen, it could be the greatest indoor show ever.
Was there at that concert at Earls Court London they brought the roof down it was a unbelievable performance.🇬🇧
Pink Floyd 🌈 The Great Song
👍🏻👍🏼👍🏽🤗🌈🇹🇭🙏🤟From Thailand 🙏
A reporter once asked Eric Clapton what it was like to be the best guitarist in the world and he said you best ask David Gilmore.
Actually he said that about Terry Kath of Chicago.
cough cough Gilmour cough.
The mark of a master!
Then they asked David Gilmore and he said tommy Emanuel was the best
Realy guys, It was fantástic, I was there, my life change after this concert!!!
I was at the 94' pulse concert... those lights spinning represented lighthouse lights for the "Distant ship smoke on the horizon"
I was at Grant Field Atlanta 94 Pulse Tour front effin row!!! It was the Best show I’ve ever attended!
FEEL IT ,!! FOOD FOR YOUR SOUL XXX RESPECT PINK FLOYD THANK YOU THANK YOU FOR ALWAYS BEING IN MY LIFE XXX

Seen them in KC Arrowhead Stadium June of 94. Played for over 3 hours and the loudest concert I've ever been to.......ears rang for a week.
Seen them in 88 in Toronto stadium best show ever and it was in quad sound speakers and lights everywhere
Saw Roger waters 4 x and David Gilmore once. Loved every second
Great performance
When you want to react to a Pink Floyd song, do yourself a huge favor and see if they performed it at the Pulse Concert...I'll never listen to studio "Comfortably Numb" again. Please react to "Sorrow" from this same concert...great reaction guys, Merry Christmas..
Best concert I ever went to. This tour in London 1994, which means I could be in the audience here. Saw them 4x in all.
Best solo from the best song from the best album
I was there boys in 1994 AWESOME
Love Pink Floyd! Adore this song!
It was amazing , I was there in 1994 Earls Court in London , a great concert arena but sadly the Earls Court arena is now gone, made way for blocks of flats !! But what a night to remember.

I saw this live i Copenhagen 1994... blew my mind
I was at one of these concerts, and I can guarantee that it was an experience like no other
Yes mate. The best gig I've ever been to, before & since! What a journey on a double-decker bus from Glasgow-London & return... I've never been on a bus since LOL. But we all had a good smoke haha. Great memories never to be repeated actually!

I seen them on this tour in Earls Court London. Best concert I've attended and I've been to many 🙂
Same. April 1994 in San Diego. I also still have the Pulse CD with the blinking LED.
You are a tuly blessed man for seeing this show.
Saw it at Joe Robbie, in the rain. It was indeed worth five vacations. Never thought of it that way, but you are definitely not wrong.
I was there and it was one hell of a concert. I had to go to the toilet for a pee during one of the songs. Thankfully it was empty. I started to relieve myself when an elderly guy stood next to me. Raymond - my opinion also, best solo ever.
You're absolutely right ✅️ not taking away from others, BUT THIS GUITAR SOLO WOW! THE BEST
It’s not an opinion. It’s facts.
This song, the solo specifically, this performance even more specifically, makes me cry. Every single time
That was the first real concert I went to. 1994 CNE in Toronto. They are absolutely my favorite ever...Gilmour the absolute best!! When I tell people I went, I never say I went to thier concert...I always say it's an experience. I have watched this a million times. It's life changing every time.

Good you boys appreciate 🍻
David dressed up for the occasion - gotta’ love him.
I was going here to , I went the night after the seating had collapsed an I thought that it would be cancelled now , but lucky enough it went ahead ❤
Notice the lighting difference during the vocals. When wright and the other musicians are singing it’s red and dark. When David sings the lights change to all white. And the shot of the crowd facing the stage at the beginning
Of the second solo. No one is moving, completely into the vibe of the song. I saw this tour on Fla. totally engrossed.
incredible reaction guys you are the best
I can't imagine what it's like to put that many people into a trance and blow their minds like that
Man what a feeling

I was one of the lucky people to have been there.
It was an amazing experience watching and listening to that solo at Rose Bowl in Pasadena
I couldn't afford to go to the Earl's Court Pulse concert, so I stood in awe in Battersea Park and watched the laser show light up the Misty northern sky. It was close enough to hear the music drifting over to me on the South side of the River Thames. David Gilmour turning up like a plumber to do the sink, then teaches everybody how to play the guitar....that second solo is off the scale best guitar solo ever bar none
that second solo is the most gut wrenching solo i have ever heard. Its such an amazing song. Great job giving it its credit.
Dave Gilmore is a GOD he's earned his place xxx THANK YOU THANK YOU FOR ALWAYS BEING PART MY LIFE XXXX RESPECT
A masterpiece.
Glad to see people discovering the music of my younger years. I have seen Floyd like 8 or 9 times, 3 times on this tour alone (although not at this particular show). I was there.....Now you know how I felt....
was there on october 28 1994 in the london show /life changing experience!
Total respect guys for not interrupting , 👍👍👍👍👍
I was there what a show david makes that guitar sing
CAN YOU IMAGINE BEING THERE
Someone may have mentioned those rotating speakers are called Leslie’s and apparently they introduce a phased effect to the sound. You just watched the greatest performance of the greatest guitar solo ever played. You guys couldn’t even believe what you saw. Amazing.
Pink Floyd in concert is like no other.
I remember being there something i'll never forget an experience of a lifetime Rammstein are the same a must see band while you can live an experience of a lifetime .
I could´ve given my left arm to have been on that concert!!
Imagine being there just wow
I saw them on the Division Bell Tour, 2nd row center at A.S.U. stadium. Just freaking incredible!!!
Great reaction guys!! Try SORROW from the same concert, my favorite. More LIGHTS, LIGHTS, GUITAR, GUITAR!!!!
I was there. That one experience has made my life worth living.
It's totally funny to see people speechless once it ends lol that's how good he is on the guitar one of the best ever
Funny that you say that it sounds like a fever dream...the song talks about him remember a fever dream (him, the character in the conceptual album)
What is in the water in England the past 60+ years? First you have the Beatles, then The Who, then Pink Floyd, then the greatest band to ever grace Planet Earth, Led Zeppelin, and now you have one of the top vocalists ever in Lucy Thomas?!! What gives?!!

I saw this same show but it was in new Orleans super dome good times.
