I saw this tour twice myself in Ceveland and Pittsburgh. My first concert was Pink Floyd DSOTM 1973 at the Pittsburgh civic arena. I have seen them 6 times total. There is no better band live than Pink Floyd EVER. I feel bad for the millions of fans who never did or never will see them live.
For a total EXPERIENCE, I totally agree with you (I have seen every tour since A Momentary Lapse of Reason). However, for sheer energy in a smaller venue, it is hard to top Jane's Addiction or RHCP.
I was in a Taco Bell. My girlfriend says, isn’t that Pink Floyd? When it came on the radio. I was like, nah can’t be. But as the song continued I realized that it was indeed them
If you haven't already, check out SORROW from the same show. People say that the solo from Comfortably Numb us the best in this show. I believe that the solo in Sorrow is a bit better.
Love this song! A little point of song technique is using the "Call and Response technique! Which is when David sings a verse (the call) and the singers reply with their verse (the response)! And if you notice, when they sing, after the instrumental, they switch! The background singers do the Call and David replies, kinda cool, right? Now here's the history behind Call and Response. In Africa, eons ago, the Africans would form a work party, or paddling a boat, one person would lead the the song (the call) and the crew would follow with their part (the response)! So now ya know....😊 Enjoy their music, I have for the last 50+ years.......
For anyone wanting to go into the past with Pink Floyd, the Bands The Brit Floyd and Wish You Were Here, tours throughout the year. I've seen Pink Floyd 5 times live and a Roger solo once, both of these cover bands do a phenomenal job replicating the music with some better-than-average light and stage effects.
thank you for the reaction. I´m happy that you mentioned the background singers. I´m ervery time impressed about them when I watchh teh concert. In addition to the great voices you can see so much different performances to nearly every song. I love it.
Polly once said he is borderline autistic with his communication through words. He’s obviously not and I don’t think she meant any disrespect to people on the spectrum, as he can be quite eloquent when speaking. But I think her point was that words don’t come easily to him, he communicates his soul through his music. If he was more of a words guy, his music probably wouldn’t be as emotional as it is. Language and communication, we all express ourselves in different ways and we’re all lucky that he discovered his gift of communicating through his music.
Thanks for reacting to this gem that is nostly left ignored by most reactors. For me it‘s up on the list in the same league as „High hopes“, „Shine on you crazy diamond“ and „Comfortably numb“!
Since you already did the Great Gig in the Sky reaction, this is the list of backup singers on this tour in respect to that song: Sam Brown - first lead vocalist on "The Great Gig in the Sky", Durga McBroom - second lead vocalist on "The Great Gig in the Sky", Claudia Fontaine - third lead vocalist on "The Great Gig in the Sky"
Yes , these backing vocals are a huge element to the sound and show. Have you done On The Turning Away from the Delicate Sound Of Thunder concert? Different Gal's , all three i believe. Mesmerizing.
My top three songs of all time, Yet another Movie, High Hopes, Keep Talking...P.S. If you feel zoned out listening to this, imagine being high at the same time, feels like your floating in space. No other band can do that
Do yourself a favor and watch the entire Pulse Tour from start to finish. It's an experience you'll never forget. "Learning to Fly" or "Shine on you Crazy Diamonds".
The great gig in the sky at pulse concert showcases the back up singers. They brought the house down after this song. I should know I was there. Will give you goosebumps. I promise you that you have not seen anything like it. Keep up the Floyd reactions.
Yeeesssss!!!!! Glad you enjoyed that. Dude - your face hahaha. Pulse “MONEY” and ANOTHER BRICK IN THE WALL. You prolly have heard both before but live has extended sections in both. Brick features the other guitarist Tim Renwick.
THEY USED IT LIKE LOSERS😂DAVID, SLASH....LOSERS....THE ONLY ONE WHO USED IT PROPERLY WAS....PETER FRAMPTON😂THE GUY MADE 1 GOOD SONG....WITH THE TALK BOX.....HENDRIX IS THE GREATEST GUITARIST EVER, NO DEBAT😂
Your reactions never fail, my friend. One track that slmost nobody reacts to from this concert is the banger instrumental Any Colour You Like. It's from the Dark Side Of the Moon portion of the show. Maybe it's because it connects to the next track in such a way that it ends abruptly if not played through. Here's hoping you do Any Colour You Like/Brain Damage/Eclipse as those three are meant as one piece of music. Together they're only about 10 minutes. Keep 'em coming!
Run Like hell. And from another concert is On the turning away. If you haven’t done that one yet. It’s pre Pulse. But it is killer. The back up vocals really shine
Interestingly, the introduction to this song comes from a British Telecom TV commercial. You can find this commercial by searching for this title: 1993 British Telecom - 'Hawking' TV commercial
This is my second time at your channel and my very first time hearing "Keep Talking" I have no idea how I missed this??? Great song! I wanted to leave a suggestion. If you love David's playing give a listen to "Boston - More than a feeling" It's the only song I've personally ever heard that can get close to Pink Floyd and David Gilmore. Mind you, it's not the same -- They're not Pink Floyd, but the lead guitar on that song, and the vocals, will amaze you. P.F. will always be number one! ...Then there's the rest. Only P.F. can truly touch your soul in that way. And I am jealous of everyone who got to see them live. Having been a P.F. fan for over 50 years, I never once got to see them live. They do visit in my dreams, though :)
Everything they produce is timeless, in a hundred years people will still be discovering their talent and skill. Think Mozart? Or Beethoven and countless others from those years ….while classical music isn’t my taste there is no getting away from their skill and talent ….. just like PF. If you haven’t already Please consider “great gig in the sky” pulse concert version especially for those amazing backing singers.
Brother, your reaction was priceless, so fasten your seatbelts, especially if You will check out any songs from PULSE (The Greatest Concert EVER performed for mankind) because Kansas will say bye-bye Tampa May 94 with 75.000 fellow PinkFloydian was life altering experience 4sure!
The only thing better than Pink Floyd is Pink Floyd live. This is one of the best songs on the album The Division Bell. *What Do You Want From Me* and *High Hopes* (which I know you've heard) are also from this album and are great. But I think *Poles Apart* is my favorite song from TDB. 🤘🏽💗
Poles Apart is such an underrated song. Everything from TDB is gold, imo. When my least favorite song on the album is a fantastic song like A Great Day For Freedom, you know it's a top tier record.
Dave using his " Talk Box" from the seventies. Wish you would have played Obi Wan Kenobi which does an intro by Steven Hawkins which explain what Dave saw and heard then wrote the song. Then he played this vid.
Your Pink Floyd reactions make my day! Nice to see this track reacted to as well: don’t see many reactions to it. Anything, anything from ‘Pulse’ is a treat for the senses - enjoy the journey!
You are one of the best reactors in terms of "feeling" the music / show. Please, react to Marooned, from the same album of Keep Talking (The Division Bell). React to the studio version, just the audio (not the music video). Greetings from Chile!
7:44 yeah, its exactly like that, LOLZ. Isnt it f"ing amazing?????? Best use of a Talkbox, evah, even more so than Joe Walsh and Peter Frampton in my very humble opinion.....
As someone who saw this concert twice, and Pink Floyd a few times over 50+ years, they've never been topped by anybody!
I saw that concert twice too. Oct 28/29 at Earl´s Court. 100% agree

Live version is great but you must check out the studio version of this when you get the chance for a fuller sonic experience.
That device is called a TALKBOX. Very appropriate for a song all about the importance of communication...

Hardly anyone reacts to this one . I heard this song the moment it was released
me too . 😎👍 I almost cried with joy. ✨

2 seconds first David notes you already love it
thank you for the reaction. I´m happy that you mentioned the background singers. I´m ervery time impressed about them when I watchh teh concert. In addition to the great voices you can see so much different performances to nearly every song. I love it.
She wanted him to talk…he did so with his guitar.

@@mikewatts867 exactly! Why waste beauty on words!
"One of These Days" from the Pulse concert.
Sam Brown, Durga McBroom, Claudia Fontaine, I'm in love with them, RIP Claudia

Great reaction! This song is so good, when David uses the talk box it’s pure magic ❤
Nothing needs to be said silence speaks volumes.
You will enjoy "One of These Days" from the Pulse concert.

Take it Back is another great underrated song from this album, and a great Pulse performance as well you should react to
Floyd has been ahead of the rest since the early 1970's. You cannot compare to anyone else.
You have bands...then you have PINK FLOYD
Le coriste del live PULSE sono 🎵🎶
🎙DURGA MC BROOM
🎙SAM BROWN
🎙CLAUDIA FONTAINE (RIP🙇♀️)
Yeeesssss!!!!! Glad you enjoyed that. Dude - your face hahaha.
Pulse “MONEY” and ANOTHER BRICK IN THE WALL. You prolly have heard both before but live has extended sections in both. Brick features the other guitarist Tim Renwick.
Other guitarists have used the "talk box" but not with the skill and feel that David Gilmour does.
Well Frampton. But David’s vox on Animals and Keep Talking are just too perfect.

I'm always amazed that this song at this venue doesn't have the same tens of millions of youtube hits as Comfortably Numb.
Run Like hell. And from another concert is On the turning away. If you haven’t done that one yet. It’s pre Pulse. But it is killer. The back up vocals really shine
Pink Floyd will take you here , there, and everywhere. You only have to be willing
Sorrow from the same show. Best solo of the night.
Have A Cigar (Wish You Were Here album)
As much as I love pulse my preference for this song is the studio version. You have to check it out you will like it too
There is some very good music from Floyd left for you ! Another Brick in the Wall----Mother----Run Like hell and more ! Take your pick lol, Thanks
Oh......there's plenty more to go'.....he's barely even started!!!"

Try Rachelle Rhienne Shaking up the Clouds
Just react to the whole Pulse show from start to finish.
You should do run like hell, from the pulse.
the pedal is a Talkbox
Gilmore can sing with his vocal cords, or his guitar, and sometimes both at the same time!
I Suggest To Get Another Kind Of Headphones 😉🎤🎼
Just know that anything from Pulse is phenominal.
One of the greatest nights of my life. This show was fantastic!!!!
David Gilmours going on some tour dates. Could be your last time to see him play live .
How about the rest of wish you were here 6-9

I personally like the studio version better it has Stephen Hawkings in it and has a much better sound in my opinion
No one has backing vocals like Pink Floyd. No one.
David Gilmore and Pink Floyd is a religious experience. Just sayin...
Sick reaction!!!!!!! Love it!!!!!!’
