A small but VERY illegal LEGO build
Вставка
- Опубліковано 8 жов 2023
- In full disclosure, this build is definitely difficult in that final step of assembly. The alignment of the plates must be close to perfect, and even then there’s a lot of struggle to force the pieces into place. The fascinating thing is that ultimately there's no stress in this build--these are incomplete connections. So in the classic sense this build is VERY illegal, and yet the bricks are 100% fine. It's just somewhat fragile.
I also didn’t show some 'off camera' work to tweak a few of the plates that didn’t quite line up (only because it would be boring to watch). That being said, I don’t know if there’s a cooler LEGO wheel that is this small with so few pieces. Definitely a nice little desk ornament / fidget toy. ☺️
The cost of shipping for the pieces for this build is probably more than the LEGO plates themselves, but here's a great BrickLink store in the USA that I've ordered from many times (not a sponsor or affiliate): store.bricklink.com/Brock?ite...
Of course, search around for the price, color, and shipping costs that makes you the happiest. (Although fair warning, not all colors have the same 'clutch' power so order a couple of colors if you can just in case.)

Love when you get that transition of "everything still seems perfectly legal here officer" to suddenly "oh yeah, danish police coming for you"
I was watching thinking "I don't understand, this still all seems lega- OH."
Idk about the Danish police but as an American I'm considering calling up the 101st Airborn.
Repeat offenses shall not be a thing.
@@ravensquote7206what was the point of abolishing the Lego Police theme if we can't have nice illegal builds like this
I still dont get it.

Without uploading for a while we were starting to think Lego hired a hitman😂😂
Umm……😂😂😂
Probably
They did hire a hitman, but just when he pushed the door open, everything was so illegal, his heart and brain stopped working immediately. When his corpse was found, his eyes were wide open, fixed in an expression of pure terror...
This joke goes from funny to scary when one realizes Hasbro sent armed mercenaries to some guy's house because he accidentally received a still unreleased card pack or something.
@@petervitkov361they sent the Pinkertons after him, you can google Pinkertons MTG
I still love the idea that this man owns a thousand of each piece in every color and shape, and exactly one (1) figurine
Yea, but that is probably for scale comparison.
Thanks for the clarification that one = 1. I would never have guessed!
How do you think he got the money to buy all of those pieces? He sold all the minifigures!
Except that one (1), of course.
It’s all about balance.
@@gdplayer19It's a meme bro chill

i like this comment out of context
I felt a great disturbance in the force, as if a hundred Lego bricks cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced…
White millipede: Legal. White hockey puck: Not so much.
And as others have pointed out, the strain and creaks you put those pieces through was almost hard to watch...Almost.
Great video as always.
New working title: White Hockey Puck 😂
I can watch qny of these as long as it's not my legos he's breaking...
Why doesn't Lego make their parts more durable and resistant to such mechanic stress? For example a little bit more elastic and they would last longer / keep their form.
@@doragonsureia7288because then they would wear out as fast as your windshield wipers.

The LEGO chiropractor is back with a new video
Genuine lol

...is BACK with a new video lol
Chiropractic care is quack "medicine" that can damage your spine and even handicap the patient...
Making this comparison even better to me
This is just about illegal in every individual stud. Impressive!
And the fact that they did it twice.
And if you made it bigger the gaps would be smaller. Now I can make a complete Lego car.
What exactly makes a Lego build ‘illegal’?
@leinonibishop9480 basically, it permanently damages one or more pieces by building in an unintended way....
This build damages possibly EVERY piece, not just one!
Question: would a wheel with an infinite circumference be legal?
The way it rolling away almost perfectly matched the framerate was the least illegal thing about this video.
That went from legal to illegal to legal to federal crime real quick
Too true
Why'd you have to make it spine-shaped and spine-colored before those spine-cracking sounds
Love the gloves as though you're handling a dangerous material. The sheer power of those bricks is too much to touch directly
have you ever stepped on one of those? they are weapons of mass destruction, gloves are the bare minimum you need to work with those
With the amount of strain he puts on the plastic that might actually be the case
It also prevents fingerprints.
I love that the shutter speed of the video camera was very similar to the speed of the thing rolling, I think? For those shots that halfway look like they're just sliding across the surface, until they slow down enough to show some false counter rotation, heh.
Also, LOVE the title. 👏
Cheers : )
I like to think they torture Lego designers with these videos
🤣🤣🤣
that might just be the smallest diameter on a brick bent circle that i have ever seen.
bravo, my good man :D
It is ridiculously small 😁
I'm not usually one for ASMR but the sound it makes was way more satisfying than expected
Even I was surprised by how much sound this created.
1:19 Wow! That's awesome! Not sure if you're aware of this but, at that point in the build: You made an very accurate replica of my spine and the sounds it makes! It's dead on! The sounds.... just 👏 so accurate, I felt like I was listening to a recording of me getting out of a chair!
Lol, I can feel the pain
I felt like I was watching a recording of me *breathing!*
This build is illegal in every state, except Texas
That is only because the public would hang you before the police could get there!
3:11 Bruh, I love how it looks like it's just sliding across the table XD
The caveman rolling in there gives me flashbacks to the end credits on _Speed Racer_ - the original anime, not the movie.
Genuine question: why werent the bricks that you turned upright not just configured that way in the first place? Was it to stress the bricks?
I imagine it's easier & faster to build flat & then modify the position. Might have also been done for clarity, so viewers can most easily see what's being done.
I had to align the plates before the bending anyway, so I just thought it would be fun to take people the long way toward the final build. And it did make for an interesting building journey.
@@BrickBendingwaste of my time, but if it's fun for you...

Both depending on your context. But I also lean toward the latter.
dont know what youre on but doing this would get this guy publicly executed
Wow. Just wow!
For a solid 2 mins and 22 seconds I was like "I don't get what's illegal here" then you started reinventing the wheel and I was borderline about to cut my wifi cables. I'm convinced this channel is just a psyop at this point.
You should make holiday versions (if possible). Red and green for Christmas. Black and orange (if the mak that color) for Halloween. Alternate the colors on the sides
you dont think lego has black or orange lego pieces?

You did this same design a couple of years ago but with 4x1 plates... I built two of them back then - they are on top of a bookcase that I can see as I am typing this.
Nice! I had always assumed that the 1x4 wheel was the smallest iteration of this design--until I recently start to try to mash those 1x3's together. It took some work, but it did hold together. But I can say that the 1x2 variety isn't going to happen 🤣
@@BrickBendinglmao I can see why not
Putting the durability of Legos TO THE TEST.
I love to imagine that he just lives in an infinitely expanding white void with nothing but himself, a camera, a single minifig and infinite lines of every lego piece
The color, the shape, and the CRACKING sounds make you seem like a lego Chiropractor
I feel bad for those who pack those orders of pick a brick. They know what is about to happen to those poor pieces.😢😢
Making sure you dont leave fingerprints is my favorite part of this video
The gloves make it feel like you're handling something radioactive, like it shouldn't exist.
I don't know anything about Legos, but the thought of "illegal" Legos is hilarious.
The only thing that should be illegal about them is leaving them on the floor
for me to "discover" in the middle of the night.
Oh Lego coming for your whole blood line after this one.
I was like "I mean, the technique used is kinda weird, but this isn't illegal" and the 2:22 happened and I was like "ah, there it is."
I’m not clear on the concept of “illegal” in the Lego brick world. Could you give me a definition?
@@MarcosElMalo2 Putting Lego elements together in a way that isn't intended and puts strain on the bricks causing them to deform and break over time. Lego is very strict on never using "illegal" techniques in official sets so that the pieces won't break because of one of Lego's own designs.
This reminds me a lot of the bricks in the old Roman Forum. So many curvy shapes that don't seem probable/possible. Nice illegally smol build!
at 2:55, it doesn't even look like the wheel is turning
This is the crunchiest build I've ever seen.
The gloves are an important touch, no fingerprints

Not 2 mention, the COMFORT

What sort of fines are associated with illegal Lego builds?
For each illegal build you randomly steps on a Lego.
You have to forfeit all the gold coins from your pirate sets.

Keep doing satisfying Lego videos I really love the sound they make
For half, the video i was like "wait, why is this illegal" and then i saw it.
Why nothings wrong with this Lego build at all, this is perfectly- OH SWEET JESUS
On dark nights around the campfire Lego bricks tell each other horror stories about Brick Bending.
Absolutely insane.
can you make a human skeleton out of lego please? this looked like a spine when you adjusted the lego at the start.
The opening of this video looks very pleasingly like a stop-motion animation!
There are Lego police out there. Be careful with what you build. I heard Lego jail doesn't allow shoes and has small pieces all on the floor. 😳
I would probably scream out of anger if I tried to built this
Not going to lie. It's a challenge.
Me, at 2:46 ish: no... no... oh no... i see what you're doing... no... stop... YOU CAN'T DO THAT IT'S ILLEGAL
10/10, video exactly as described
2:58 The matching shutter rate makes it look like it's just scooting for a second
1:40 it's a spine!
Cool wheels! Sending love and warm greetings from Missouri.
Those would make some good XL wheels for a vehicle!

I love the out takes;
Reminds me of how i first started building
3:01 oh it rolls sO NICE!!!
The *screech* I let out when he did the illegal bit
I love how he just comes back like he never left 😭
Is anyone else impressed by the left build going from spinning, to slowly rolling away in a straight line?
This is Lego spine torture on an unprecedented level!
Me watching this video: * gasp * they bend! That's neat! It kind of looks like a spine. Oh, he's making them straight. It looks like a little tabl- OH MY GOD IT'S A CIRCLE
The entire first half could have been built nonviolently and yet you decided to harm these innocent bricks.
I crashed my car watching this while driving…
…worth it kinda.
I was beginning to get the shakes...thanks for the bricks fix.
It may be very illegal, but it rolled super smoothly 👌

Nice job! Leggo’s appear to be a very satisfying hobby/talent/skill. 👍
You went through all the effort of turning those outer plates 90 degrees, but couldn't you have just built the segments in that orientation to begin with? Or am I missing something lol
Gotta say tho fantastic build, love your content!
These would make great giant wheels for large scale Lego Space MOCs.
This makes me so uncomfortable but I can't stop watching
ILLEGAL BUILDS: FELONIES & MISDEMEANORS
No one seems to have a set definition of what is and what isn’t an allowed LEGO building technique. These collective norms in the fan community are called “legal” or “illegal” techniques based on a now-infamous presentation by LEGO designer Jamie Berard. Rules are routinely stretched, and everyone has a long and convoluted personal definition of what is considered purist-and what is not.
Illegal LEGO building techniques can be classified as a connection between LEGO bricks which is too fragile or puts stress on any of the bricks in question. Though lots of LEGO builders online use a number of these illegal techniques, applying them to your builds can result in the warping or breaking of your bricks.
Some builders also call a technique illegal when there is no connection between the pieces. This is because if the model was touched, everything would fall apart.
I thought he was just making a weird looking tower and im over here wondering whats so illegal about this. But then I watch till the end and I gotta say, I definitely don't think LEGOS are suppose to that.
"if you use enough flat pieces, eventually you'll find yourself with something round"
I never knew what the sound of plastic crying out in pain was like until i started watching your videos...
Cool builds tho.
Nice to see you're still here!
Whenever he is making something that has not supposed to be done, don't mater what it is, you can hear the exact same sound of the legos screeching in pain. It's almost like they know they are being turned on a unholy creation
I was not expecting you to make it into a circle
This would probably be considered illegal nowadays, but I have a Lego book from the 2010s that suggests using the natural flex of Lego bricks to make curved walls. So at that point at least they were okay with endorsing techniques like this
It works just like a spine, a chains thats twisting is a sum of movement between all of its parts
To quote Michael LeRoi:
The horror, I embrace it.
This might be the most illegal build to date, you can even hear the bricks screaming in agony lol
Every time I see one of these I think to myself “by god this can’t be true” and every time i’m wrong
This feels like the first time I saw someone make a circle in minecraft. Witchcraft! Get the torches!
Me before 2:22: I fail to see why this is illegal.
Me after 2:22: I SEE WHY THIS IS ILLEGAL!
My uncle used to tell me off for putting too much stress on the pieces. Shame the internet didn't exist back then.
That last step, it made me cringe like someone was running their nails down a chalkboard, or someone cracking all their knuckles.
I love this more than I thought I would.
Your "table" is almost as big as the studio they filmed the moon landing in.
"Hello, Clarice... Have the bricks stopped screaming?"
having tried to make stuff exclusively out of those tiny wafers before, I understand the use of gloves.
You cant build Legos into a perfect circle, prove me wrong.
This dude:
How do you figure out how much compliance your builds have or need? Is it just a bunch of trial and error?
I would imagine TONS of trial and error....
What forbidden techniques push this into the realm of illegal brickery
I like how they wear gloves so they don’t leave finger prints on the crime scene
My goodness that first roll was smooth
Really funny how the frame rate on the recording makes the wheel just stand still as it rolls instead of spinning. Makes it feel more illegal.
This one feels far more illegal than usual
Spinning lego wheel is like 'No'
