A LEGO build unlike any other

- I have received many AOT comments about this particular build and it always makes me laugh. Making some LEGO titans should be my next step in this MOC. 😂
Warning! Don't ever use reddish brown LEGO parts for brick bending. The only reason I have this color of bricks and plates is because I didn't know any better at the time I bought them. They are notoriously brittle, and I only use them now with great care. No other color (in my experience) is nearly as terrible as this one. That being said, once upon a time a built a massive ring out of them, so here it is. 😅

I don't have a problem with all of the other builds like this, but using brown pieces in a build that stresses the pieces is a recipe for disaster. They break easier than any other color in my experience.
This is legit. They only reason I own reddish brown pieces is because I didn't know any better in my early days of building, and I built the first iteration of this many years ago (along with a number of other unfortunate builds). Because these bricks were first stressed in this particular way they can still handle the strain, but if I tried to build any other brick bending design with them today, many would likely break and it would be sad and frustrating. Reddish brown bricks are very brittle and generally should be avoided.
@@BrickBending ah. So they kinda have "memory" of doing that and they don't break. Huh.
@@laughingbulbasaur3291 my guess is that they've gotten more brittle with age. When they were new they behaved like all the other bricks and I created some pretty crazy builds out of them. But now they are only fine if I don't try to do anything different with them. A few of those old builds still exist, but if I dropped them they'd literally shatter. Maybe that could be a video 😱
I tried to make a circle with all the colours I had and all the brown ones broke and all the others were fine 😭
Bizarre. Is the physics behind this phenomenon known?
If you listen very closely, you can hear the sound of all those LEGO pieces screaming in pain

his understanding in lego is way beyond my comprehension
I expected the bricks to break, given how easy this color of brick is able to break
Brown breaks easily??? What have I missed in the LEGO community???
@@supern0v477 It is widely known that (dark-)brown and dark-red LEGO bricks break more easily than others. It is another quality consistency problem that the company has, as pointed out by a lot of fans an UA-camrs alike on the internet

There will come a day when this man makes a perfect sphere. On that day, God himself will demand he stop, end this madness, and this man will look back to the almighty and laugh, proceeding to make the sphere out of standard 2x4 bricks.

Can you get mirror or chrome bricks? It would be cool to see a disco ball made this way especially if you can make the lights to go with it. Although it would be a challenge to figure out the brick patterns to form a sphere in this type of style.
I have a few chrome/silver and gold pieces. No clue where from. Check your local lego store.
Way too rare to make a build like this. And I wouldnt risk it. Just cool pieces
He has made some sphere-like curved polyhedra, so I guess he could use one of those for the structure, and then cover it in metallic flat plates. 🤔
The fact that there's only 2 2 by 4s holding that together scares me
When he was starting to bend the bigger bar, in a way i was hoping for an explosion. Is that bad?

Be careful! The brown ones are the easiest to break

I don't think this is what people meant when they said "flex" your lego skills, G
“I’ve felt a great disturbance in the bricks: as if millions of lego pieces suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly snapped together using illegal techniques.”
After a while of these videos, I start realizing the title is technically a lie.
These might be sacrilegious bending lego builds, unlike the normal ones.
But they're exactly like each other.
they usually explore new concepts
Yeah
Edit: actually, i guess if theres a viewer who watches this as their first brick bending video, the title would be accurate to them.
Thank you! Don’t get me wrong, My mind was blown at the first video I saw of this but all the others are basically the same kind of strip being elongated and bent into shapes, mostly circles..
They were too obsessed with finding out if they could that they never thought to ask if they should
The dark brown pieces already break easily, this ain’t gonna help at all :)
Him: A Lego Build Unlike Any Other

You can do something similar to this if you take a bunch of track pieces and put them all together.
It does pinch your fingers on every chance it gets, though.

LEGO execs: “Nooooooo!”
Absolutely cool!!
At first I was like "that's really cool for terrain building and making actual LEGO bridges" and then it quickly turned into "how can I turn this into the Collosseum and how much would it cost"
I honestly have 0 issue with the way you build. Keep on going man. They're your bricks. Build the way you want. 💯💯💯
This is taking “reimagining the wheel” to a different level.
Recently watched another one of your videos and you had 89 k now you have 90.1 k growing fast 🔥
Very Nice can't wait to try this :)

Honestly this would be a great way to make a small Death Star or lucrehulk
At first i thought he was making a Lego Wooden bridge.
QUESTION:
If the top-layer is replaced with "2x4_TILES", would this change the stability of the structure?
If so, would it be better-or-worse?
---
ON_A_SEPARATE_NOTE:
I look forward to your thoughts on the different colors, & just how much stress each color can tolerate.
(You had mentioned the possibility of such a video, in one of the early episodes.)
Have you found that the same color might handle the same amount of stress differently, depending on whether it's a BRICK, a PLATE, or a TILE?
What would you suggest is the best way to put each of these "variables" to the test, in order to get reliable results?
PS:
Thanks-so-much for including a "breakdown" of how many pieces were used, & of what kind --- it's super-helpful!
You're welcome!
I find that tiles don't 'stick' to studs as well as plates--that's just my experience. So when you put them under stress the tiles are more likely to pop off. Not sure if that's different with 2x4 tiles as I've never used those before. But I'd suspect this would still work with those...and it would be amazingly shiny. : )
Regarding colors, it would be fun to do some thorough experimentation, but my suspicion is that whatever they use to color the various bricks/plates affects the strength of the plastic--regardless of brick, plate, or tile. In my experience black, lime green, and yellow seem to have the most give (without breaking). Tan has the least. Reddish brown is just terrible and brittle, and the only reason I have a lot is because I bought a lot early on in my bending days. I always bend with reddish brown with extreme care.😬
How many peices
I followed your steps and I did it!
Every single one of your videos makes me unreasonably angry, yet I can't stop watching. Someone stop this madness.

You could use some translucent bricks and turn this into a nice lamp shade 😉
OH MY GEE, you should make one similar to this where the pieces connect on all sides so you can make an actual Lego Ball! ^_6
That would make a very cool (low wattage) lamp shade
