Great to see you in a canoe again. I've never thought to use beaver chewed wood to carve. I really need to dust my chisels off and find a chunk of wood to whittle.

You make it look so easy. You have such a great imagination for such amazing creativity. I don’t think there is a carving you couldn’t do. Such amazing talent and was also nice to see you out paddling.
Your wood search looked like a lot of fun and very relaxing. Of course the black flies and filed boots aren’t fun but part of the bush.

Thanks to your videos, i learned how to carve, and it's become another one of my hobbies!!! I would love to see a tutorial on how to carve a pig.
Oh me too, just a sitting smiling piggy
Oh my Doug every move you make is perfection, this carving is magnificent and so fun to see where that piece of wood started from to where it ended up into a masterpiece! So good to see you in your Glory again.....Thank you
Excellent video and carving as always. Keep up the great work.
I have been a big fan of your wood carving and learned so much that i wanted to say thankyou for all you do for us
Loll! The famous little black flies and the brulots! In the mountains, in Quebec, we have been there for 2 days 😅! I have just started an owl on a piece of wood chewed by a beaver! Obviously the marks left by his teeth will remain intact! Wow! Belle trouvaille at 3:45!!!
Hello Doug , great carve . Followed you for a long time , learn a lot from your work .

And what a carving and video to come back with!
That turned out great! Glad to see you back! Once, many moons ago, I got to go up to the boundary waters area into Canada for a fishing trip. Rained whole week, cold and fishing was terrible until the last day we were there. Had an absolute ball tho! I hope to one day to come back up your way. Smallies and walleye! Might even bring home a beaver stick to carve!
Nice one Doug. The hunt is always fun to see as well.
Awesome loved it thank you Doug

Glad to see you back. I have used your channel for inspiration on my whittling journey and posted some of it on my own channel. I think the journey is much more interesting than the destination. Thanks for continuing posting your journey.
No fishing while gathering beaver sticks? Seems like that would have been a good time to get a nice fish dinner! Thanks for the video and great job.
Your timing is impeccable. I had just ordered my first cottonwood! Trying to mix up my carves! Enjoy your time so it's not just us enjoying!!
Wow! Very enjoyable video.
I love the idea of foraging my own wood for carving! I have done a couple of whittles with found wood but mostly use basswood blocks! I'm glad to see you posting again, can't wait to see your upcoming carvings!
