As a carver i love your finished pieces but i appreciate even more the time you take to show your techniques and tools, thank you Mike! Have a wonderful New Year!
An inside look on your process is always appreciated! This is some of my favorite and wholesome content on YT. Thank you for your hard work! You are amazing!
Although I'm not a carver, Mike, I thoroughly enjoy your videos. They're a multi-faceted treat. Watching you engage in the creative process, seeing the surroundings in which you gather inspiration and materials, marveling at and appreciating the professional production quality that elevates your channel orders of magnitude above typical UA-cam fare, and enjoying your chubby little companion, Pearl, combine to make viewing your channel a delightful experience. You provide top quality, through and through. 👍
Thank you, Noah! I'm really glad you enjoy watching them, even though you're not a carver! My family appreciates your comment too! They really do put a lot of work into the videos.
Good evening Mr Stinnett Sticks, congratulations on the beautiful sculptures, thank you very much for the tips, a big hug for you and your chubby friend. Brazil.
Man what a peaceful and humble way of living you’ve found to be blessed with a quiet place to live and a wonderful hobby you love! Sweetheart animals to keep you company!
Ms. Pearl looks very warm and cozy in her blanket. My little Chihuahua likes to be outside with me any time I'm doing anything outdoors. Love your work! Big fan.👍👍
That was a fantastic overview of your amazing carving skills Mike! Gotta love how Pearl knows when to head inside to warm up by the stove. Very smart puppy! HNY and I am looking forward to seeing lots more of your work in 2024! Be well... 👍👍🐶🐶
Thank you so much for sharing this video with us. I love watching you make the walking Stick And cane. I have arthritis in my hands so bad.i could never do this. But I really love watching you Sir.
I need to get my shop cleaned out first. I have been melting water jugs, Amazon mailer bags and anything else that is that type of plastic. Can’t wait to see if I have wasted my time doing that. I appreciate watching you.
Mike I love it that you’re posting more videos which even though they are great by the end I,m nearly sleeping your voice is so calming so thankyou and the family👍👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Thank you sir! Truly magnificent work and I just love Pearl! What a companion! She’s been with you for awhile now. Your background music is beautiful and the wildlife shots are most enjoyed!

Cool that you show the techniques. I have some of the same burs. Pearl does just like my dogs. Stares at me wanting me to come inside and watch them snore.
Going to be another amazing walking stick . Pearl looked comfy under her blanket but I think she loves the heat from the woodstove better. Keep up the great videos
Hi Mike and Pearl, I'm in agreement with all the previous comments appreciating your work and willingness to share your knowledge and encouragement, Warm greetings to u both (and the team behind the scene) from a not-so-chilly England 🐍👍👍
Mike, I've followed your videos for years. I haven't done any carving for months but maybe some day I'll will again. Regardless, watching your videos is like taking mini retreats!
I had to re-subscribe, not sure how I became un-subscribed but I realized a few days ago that I hadn't seen any of your videos in a long time. You're amazing and I'm glad to see that Pearl is still with you. You make me want to do more carving or even just simple wood working on snowy days.
Good Afternoon Mike 👋😃 I hope you're Christmas and Holiday's were Super Great Wonderful and awesome Sir!!!! I love your Videos!!!! 👍❤️😃👋 Thank YOU for Sharing. 👍😃❤️
Great content as always you are a genuine master of your craft i thoroughly enjoy watching you make materpeices and the peace and tranquility it brings you
I'm working on a stick for a local firefighter. More of a tribute piece, some people don't realize the time in planning. For its just as long if longer than the sculpting . Beautiful work as always.
I think it is impressive that you can do this without using any calipers, but are so consistent in keeping that diameter. Just that is quite a skill in itself, let alone all the other work you do. Your work looks so real, I am afraid you are going to get bit just holding it
Have a Blessed New year and thank you for all your wonderful videos I love seeing the more detailed side of how you make your walking sticks and all the tools you use keep up the great work and God Bless
Wow, I always like to see how things are carved. I love Pearl's little jacket, my dog had the same pattern on his. 🙂 Happy new year to you and your family.
Thanks for the tip Mike the few canes I've made definitely could have used strayer shafts. I was concentrating on the snake .but thanks to you they still turned out OK. Need more practice.
*Kia ora (hello) Mike 🙂Thank you for taking the time to show each bit of equipment and how & what you use it on. But can I also thank your camera person for filming it all too. I love the mahi (work) & time that you spend on each walking stick or item that you make, as they are so amazing. All the best to you, Pearl & all your family in 2024. 🙂NZ*
Thanks, Glen! Man, -20 is too cold! It's supposed to spill out of the north and head our way later this week. I think by the time it gets here, it will be in the single digits, but still too cold, haha!

Hi there, Mike, (^_^) I felt as though I was watching a comprehensive tutorial today. It's so interesting to see you work close up on your sticks. I would not have that kind of patience, but you do this over and over and over again with fabulous results and it is always a treat to see you work on your sticks and to see the wonderful results. I pray that the New Year has started off well for you and your family. Kind regards. Liz.

a true artesian and such an inspiring man, these are the kinds of vids we need in todays world for so many reasons. can you tell me what kind of wood you are using to carve?
Mike, had you ever thought of using one of your brass end caps as a tool? You could apply a thin film of glue inside the cap, then put a grit material on the glue, then after it sets up, it would sand the perfect shape on the end of your walking stick. You could either turn the new tool by hand, or put a shaft on it to turn it with your dremel tool. Just an idea, hope it helps 🤠👍
Mike, you are the Bob Ross of walking sticks. I could watch you work and listen to you talk for hours. ..
ABSOLUTELY!!
Thank you very much, Nena!
