A man posted a comment yesterday....that started out something like, "David you are a nice man, the Church needs more like you....and then he went on to speak of what a zealous Saint he was...till he lost his faith due to a list of "Facts" about a number of secondary issues...and said he can't come back until those "facts" are refuted somehow. I was quite taken with his list of things...stuff like the polygamy, of course...but also stuff like Joseph Smith applying for Copyright on the Book of Mormon, listing himself as the author, etc. I was trying to cut and paste his comment to SAVE it...and accidentally deleted it instead somehow. Rather than responding to Pres Nelson’s manifestation and outpouring of the pure love of Christ, Jeff critiqued him by adding scriptures to the talk, and I was aghast!! I could see and hear a deep-seated arrogance in Jeff, but no evidence of having or speaking by the Holy Spirit. Have no interest in hearing further from Jeff. PS Could not find any evidence of Jeff having actually pastored a church (past or present). He does have an MA from Moody Bible Inst., but I think his “church” is his LDS followers online, whom he hopes to convert🥲
It's no coincidence that you David, converted when you did and felt inspired to start a youtube channel bearing an incredible witness to the restored gospel. I would watch PJ casually like many until I saw your first PJ rebuttal video. When you said, he's not building bridges, he's building off ramps for YOU! Thank you so much, David! I am also a convert to the church. I received a direct answer from Heavenly Father when I read the Book of Mormon and asked if it was true. I tried one time to watch Pastor Jeff and alarm bells went off. I noticed how he seemed to skim through the Book of Mormon and purposely not address how often the Book of Mormon mentions Jesus Christ. He was just in a hurry to criticize it and then preach his false ideas and understanding. I honestly don't care if other churches accept us and love us. I remember President Nelson telling us to be different, to be "weird". I believe that was in a talk he gave to BYU. If the world loves us and thinks we are "cool", it means we are doing something wrong. I am used to my family telling me I am in a cult. They are wrong. I love everyone, but they have to seek for the truth just as I did. If they read the Book of Mormon, as my mother did, to mock it, to criticize it, they will not receive an answer as to it's truth.
Great points, Linda. I don’t think the Holy Spirit testifies for the sake of curiosity or sign-seeking. A heart sincerely seeking truth is required if a person wants to get real answers.

I mentioned several times on Jeff’s channel that he avoids the beautiful things that are found in the Book of Mormon that any true lover of our Saviour would love to hear he never mentions them and talks about very little things of very little consequence, like battles. I like him but do not believe he is at all censer about looking for the positives. I don’t believe anyone who truly wish to understand what we believe would do that. That has been very disappointing to me. If doesn’t see the beauty of third. nephi he is not what I think me wants us to believe. I think his reaction of Third Nephi will be obvious. Carol
Your testimony is beautiful and strong. I listened to Pastor Jeff a couple of times, and the alarm bell started sounding loud and clear. I can’t waste my time, listening to him when I have a prophet, 12 apostles, 70s and other leaders who I can listen to, and learn from. They help build my testimony, not tear it down by gently sowing seeds of doubt. Hold onto the rod!
The problem is that Pastor Jeff thinks he has the truth, so he's not humble and teachable. And because he's sure he has the truth, he will do his best to spread his "truth".
I was at first (like many others) excited that an evangelical pastor (Jeff) was willing to look into and understand our church and to help build bridges between our faiths. I watched a few of his videos. Then I began to feel that his interest was not unto learning possible truth, so that he might expand and increase his own faith, but in responding to and contradicting our beliefs and doctrine to prove them and us wrong. Therefore I quit supporting him and his channel. However, 2 days ago when I saw one pop up that said he was moving to Utah, I had hope again that he was being drawn into the true church. Then I heard him say he was coming to Utah to work with other pastors in building up his religion in Utah. I believe he has found an inroad into the “Mormon” community and is going to keep widening that road for us to follow (and building off-ramps from our church). So grateful we are for your videos and for the warrior you are, Brother David!!!
Same! I stopped watching PJ until the moving to Utah video popped up and it didn’t take long to feel like there is a snake in the grass looking for anyone who feels shaky in their testimony. UNSUBSCRIBE

It's very important to have oil in our lamps by building up reservoirs of righteousness, as Spencer W. Kimball taught in Faith Proceeds the Miracle, so that we are strongly rooted in the fullness of the gospel and so we can help others have faith.
I believe this is what Pastor Jeff is wanting to do, to try to latch onto any disgrunted LDS he can. It's unfortunate he hasn't followed up with being baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and to strive the rest of his life to bring individuals into the Church, as well.
Thank you again David for speaking the truth! I agree with you that many members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints are too nice especially when it comes to dealing with evangelical Christian’s who are openly or secretly antagonistic against us. I think this is especially true of LDS members who grew up in Utah their whole lives and have very little experience with Evangelical Christians. I have a unique perspective because I was born in Utah and then moved to Ohio where my mom who was a convert was from. My mom enrolled us is a private Christian school and the second they found out I was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ I was mocked and shunned one of my friends told me “ My parents won’t let me play with you anymore because you are in a cult.” I was told by kids and adults that I was going to “burn in hell.” As a third grade child I wondered how people who professed to be Christian could be so hateful, this wasn’t very Christlike in my opinion. As I got older I noticed the hypocrisy worsening as my evangelical friends continued to assert that I was headed to the lake of fire even though I followed Christ’s teachings from the Bible they professed to believe in. I was chaste and honest and followed the commandments while they slept around, did drugs, drank alcohol and didn’t follow Christ’s teachings or commandments yet they were saved and I was not according to them. I thought to myself why would I trade more light and truth for less, that would be insane like trading a sports car for a skateboard. This is what Saints who leave the true restored church would be doing if they choose to follow pastor Jeff instead. Pastor Jeff is like a swine who has a pearl of great price cast at his feet but he doesn’t recognize it. I hope and pray someday he will but in the meantime I am not going to give his channel any of my time, I doubt president Nelson would listen to pastor Jeff’s videos it is a waste of time, he has more important things to do building up the kingdom of heaven and so do we. Btw I enjoyed your family history bit, I am a direct descendant of Robert the Bruce through my third or 4th great grandfather Joseph Stewart Allen who was one of Joseph Smith’s bodyguards.
I think I am also related to Robert the Bruce. It’s on my dad’s side. But I need to double check. My mom is the genealogy guru in my family, along with one of my sisters. I’ll have to ask one of them - they know all this stuff, but pretty sure I am related.
I don’t think everything is a conspiracy. There does not need to be a conspiracy for something to have a negative effect on people. I was very troubled by the first few videos I watched of Pastor Jeff because I could tell right from the beginning that he had no intent of finding truth and had every intent of being critical of the church in a very sweet, loving and concerned way! At the same time he was making money off of his efforts! I would rather spend my precious time in the scriptures or listening to the brethren!
Well said Teresa, not everything negative is a conspiracy. I too was too was troubled from the first moment I saw one of the good pastors videos, the Spirit was sadly missing in his analysis of the Book of Mormon.
I really liked your comment. I felt the same way from the very beginning. I couldnt believe Greg was going with this. The thing is, Greg is strong in his religion, he doesnt think about the "fragile" testimonies that are trying to be established. As many admire Greg (rightly so), they are persuaded that PJ is golden.
I think Greg sincerely feels paster Jeff is his friend and they truly are building bridges . But he is sincerely wrong . Greg needs to take heed . Jeff wants latter-day Saints to come to Jesus on HIS TERMS, and not on the Lord's terms and that is why we are troubled for he has shown those among us who are wise as serpents who have come across his videos and we see him come in amongst us and we say who is this? What manner of man is this that comes in among us and says he loves the Lord but hes not willing to submit himself to the Lord's terms and conditions that are in Zion as we have done but tells us instead that he wants to set his own terms for coming unto Jesus by his OWN WAYS instead and telling us that the Prophet does not know the way to come unto Christ. All I see him doing ever since he showed up in LDS Circles is slowly Chipping away at the doctrines of the Restored Church, undermining also the Revelations of God from our leaders and also chipping away at the teachings of the Book of Mormon saying its teachings are faulty because they don't bring people to Jesus on his own terms. God is not going to do things his way. ""15. Wherefore, he that prayeth whose spirit is contrite, the same is accepted of me if he OBEY MINE ORDINANCES. 16. He that speaketh, whose spirit is contrite whose language is meek and edifieth,the same is of God IF HE OBEY MINE ORDINANCES. (D&C 52:15-16). That's the Lord's Standard and David you knew what the Lord's Standard was because you recognized his Authority in his servants and had meet the conditions that the Lord had asked and put your faith into action and was baptized into Zion and now you are learning the doctrine of the kingdom with the priesthood not just learning now with just the Bible and have been granted more power from the Lord than what you had when you only had just the Bible... A man who claims to be from God and be wise has to submit himself to the Lord and consider himself a fool in his own wisdom and obey the ordinances that are in Zion and only then is he truly wise and has the riches of eternity.. And when hes comes into Zion, his object in Zion has to be none other than the building up of Zion. He must not be caught with a chisel in his hand and a hammer in the other busy slowly all chipping away at the Foundations of the Faith of the Saints. That is not someone who labors in Zion but that is someone instead who spends their time chipping away at Zion. Ever since he started his hello saint videos he has been using the Bible to slowly chip away at the foundations of our faith.
I posted on one of PJ's early videos that he was either truly looking into the restored gospel of Christ or he was just building another revenue stream, I think its blatantly clear that the latter was always his pure intention. Hey disenfranchised saints where PJ lives! Have an issue with the Church? PJ wants to fellowship you and wants your tithing money to build his new church and his house. In the meantime you probably can go worship PJ in some high school auditorium.
Pastor Jeff IS a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Whether the wolf briefly shows his true colors and then pops back into the sheep getup doesn’t matter. Whether the wolf knows he’s a wolf doesn’t matter. He “teaches” about our religion in a way that “kindly and gently” creates doubt and loss of testimony. That’s what true seducers do. And what exactly makes anyone donate to this priestcraft? He is not, but Evangelical Christianity is the wolf. Pastor Jeff is a child of God who is blind. Evangelical thought is by and large a cult think that people get sucked into. But remember that Paul became so because the Lord intervened in His life and was able to have his blindness cured because of the high priest who through God’s priesthood set him straight. We need to follow the advice in D&C 71:7 and D&C 18:20 by NOT being afraid of Pastor Jeff, but by standing firm in truth and defending slanders.
Absolutely agree..he is even moving to Utah to work more closely on unsuspecting Latter Day Saints .. wonder though if Father has a Saul/Paul experience for him… let us pray for that ..

Pastor Jeff fits into the Book of Mormon a Deceiver. We have the deceivers called a fault Prophets and Pastor Jeff fits that description. Stay on your side of the fence we don't need any non-believers on our side of the fence. You are a wolf and sheep clothing, anyone can discern the difference

Thank you Brother David, for clarifying so many points. The first time I watched pastor Jeff’s videos I loved them. Then as he got into the Book of Mormon and Come Follow Me and tried to re-explain or preach to us, with his point of view… I felt the Spirit leave, or rather, tell me to leave! That was my sign from the Spirit about Pastor Jeff! I unfollowed Hello Saints.

I enjoyed following Pastor Jeff for about 3-5 months. But, when he began reading the Book of Mormon and overlooking what it teaches of Jesus Christ, I had to stop watching. When I learn about other faiths, I try to find the truths that I can carry with me. Pastor Jeff clearly isn't doing that with the Book of Mormon. His intention seems to be to point out everything her perceives as flawed, and almost entirely ignoring all the things about Jesus Christ. But, I kept watching in hopes for him to point out something where he could say, "Yes. I feel that deeply. That point is true." But instead, he said something to the effect of, "Your understanding of Jesus had to be based in the truth of the Bible." The issue I have with that is if the Bible is your sole source for understanding and knowing Jesus Christ, then why are there hundreds of different churches who all "solely follow the Bible," yet preach such drastically different things? It got to me. I felt like telling him (this would be rude of me, so I don't), lDon't present yourself as having all the answers! Don't present yourself as having Jesus all figured out! None of us have Jesus entirely figured out! Even Peter as he shared a meal of fish and honeycomb with the resurrected Lord didn't have Him all figured out! Who do you think you are? Don't you have the humility to acknowledge that there are still things you are waiting for God to teach you?" The lack of humility I think is the biggest issue I have with my Evangelical brothers and sisters. It feels like being in an abusive relationship. Here I am, and many Latter-day Saints are, and I love so much of what they do. They put together these amazing, inspiring truth-filled films, they honor the cross (I think we could do better, in my opinion), they do such a good job of just having faith in Jesus's ability to save, they serve each other, they serve in the communities where they live. And I love them for all these things. I want to befriend them and be with them! But then, the abuse. So frequently, they turn around and hate me because I believe in covenants and strive to keep them. They hate me and spit on a book that has inspired me to follow Jesus countless times. They protest and fight the temples I go to when I need to be humbled, more selfless, and trusting in the Lord. And then, finally, they tell me and so many people I love that we believe in a different Jesus because we read the Bible differently from them, which, ironically, many evangelicals already do the exact same thing. But the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the exception, in their books. It breaks my heart. It breaks my heart because I have promised and covenanted with God to love and serve ALL His children, whether they believe like me or not. And yet, they choose to hate you. Truly, as I think about the irony of it all, the only thing that gives me comfort is literally Jesus Christ. John 15:20, John 16:2, Matthew 5:10, Acts 7:52, Romans 8:35. Still, the best part of it is Jesus Christ. He still loves them and tells me that He does. And He tells me that all I have to worry about is loving them, and focusing on myself (to not be a hypocrite in any way). I was excited to make an evangelical friend in Pastor Jeff, but I don't think I want to be CLOSE friends with someone who has clearly made up their mind that they are always right, and I'm almost always wrong. But, I wish Pastor Jeff the best in his endeavors in Utah. I hope he and his family enjoy the abundance of beauty. And I hope that at some point in the future, we can--all Christians together--be edified. D&C 50:22 (50:12-22)
Another thing to consider: He put up a video of a fellow evangelical who was boasting about coming to sacrament meeting and belittling and tearing down the faith of two missionaries. He was in the corner agreeing with everything she said. He took it down when he was overwhelmed with negative feedback, but doesn’t that show what his real agenda is underneath his veneer?
Yup, saw that one and was disgusted that PJ would post it and try to “critique” her approach, the missionary responses, and then try to share his version of the truths that were challenged in the video. I was surprised that he took the video down too. He tested the boldness threshold using someone else’s video. How clever!
You're 100% correct IMHO, David. Those are the questions Greg should ask Pastor Jeff. I won't watch Hello Saints anymore, but I see him on CWIC Media, Greg's channel, and I've wondered why those very questions are avoided. If someone loves me, but they think God will send me to eternal Hell and Damnation for believing incorrectly - I'd like to know that.
President Nelson said, "I plead with you now-to take charge of your own testimony of Jesus Christ and His gospel… Don’t pollute it with false philosophies of unbelieving men and women…" Pastor Jeff openly states that he doesn't believe the restored gospel, or the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, otherwise he would join.
I felt that way by just watching one of Pastors first videos. There is a couple of American Indian proverbs that came to mind. “There is nothing as eloquent as a rattlesnakes tail.” “Cherish youth, but trust old age.” I’m turning 73 next month and boy does experience beget wisdom! There is soooo much pulling our young people away. By youth I mean 30-50 year olds! Our now 49 year old daughter was pulled in by John Dahlin 10 years ago while my husband and I were on a mission for the church. And her brother just 2 years younger was having doubts then too. He served a mission, all five of my children received their temple blessings. And we grieve and grieve and grieve and pray and pray and pray daily for our lost children. Our son has long since quit going to church though his son, our grandson is serving a truly amazing mission! There are so many snakes slithering around showing off their beautiful (visible or invisible) tattoos and (charming?) hissing words! I know that not everyone who gets a tattoo are evil but it hurts my heart to see them defiling their temple with graffiti! “Dirty rotten stinkin rats” is pretty good, but snakes is how the Lord has described satan. I had an interesting exchange with a Baptist minister at the Texas State Fair for about an hour while on our mission in 2013. That’s another story but I am still amazed at how the Lord directed me. At the words He put in my mouth because I was praying mightily for those words! I’ll share that story later if you’re interested. But I just wanted to say your testimony thrills me and I “trust” your wisdom! Keek on telling the truth! I love the Lord with all my heart! Thanks David! Your sister in Christ!❤
Jeff recently moved to Utah and he said his home buying fell apart so they didn't know what they were going to do when they got here. He said that they just had to trust the Lord and follow through and the Lord came through for them. So I said on that video don't look now but you just learned what Lehi and his family went through.😂

I find it wonderful that at the same time pastor Jeff's is establishing his fancy, well produced, and entertaining "great and spacious building" of a UA-cam channel working to increase doubt and speculation about the restored gospel, God saw fit to call a lifetime evangelical named David out of obscurity, creating a humble, simply produced, and spirit filled counter to the accusatory fog of pastor Jeff's channel. It's not a coincidence. God's style is all over it. Satan's style is fancy, pompous, and showy. God's is plain, simple, and humble. David is our literal David taking on the Goliath of a "paid to play" evangelical pastor raking in big bucks to lead men astray who has gone so far as to move to Utah to convert as many as possible.
David, I'm so thankful you are a valiant defender of our faith and in our blessed true Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! I really do believe the Lord opened your eyes to the truth of the restored gospel at the perfect time! Thank you for all you do.

Brother David, I stand firmly with you. That video was excellent and useful!! Never mind what Brother Greg said. Brother Greg seems to have fallen under the spell of the pastor. I have strongly disagreed with some things that Brother Greg says in his videos. I'm sure you see more clearly what our pastor friend is really doing. I agree with you 110%. There is nothing at all wrong with being a "conspiracy theorist". Actual conspiracies have always existed and always will exist. People who discredit others by labeling them as "conspiracy theorist" are deceiving themselves. I suspect the pastor moved to Utah because he thinks it is his mission to save LDS members from their "cult"
We do not need to watch him to pray for his or any of man kinds salvation. And it's OK even important to recognize when something or someone is exercising their agency in a way that could harm our Spirit. If you do not know, many are being led away from the restored gospel because of his teachings. We should absolutely pray for him to have an Alma the younger moment and the same for those he is leading astray. ❤️
TRUTH!! I'd be curious to know if the many who are being sucked in to Pastor Jeff's channel are mostly life-long, "born-into" Latter-day Saints who probably don't appreciate what we have. I doubt that converts who have been searching for the truth would buy into it. My husband never would because of his searching and then finding the True Church of Jesus Christ.

I would suggest you refer to David Alexander as Brother Alexander rather than Elder Alexander. The title Elder is typically used in the church for our missionaries and for the higher levels of leadership in the church. 😊❤

Thank You for your insight. I grew up with a Pentecostal Pastor Father. He would say anyone who does not believe in his religions definition of the Gospel they are children of the devil. He taught against all religions. When I became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I shared with him my conversion testimony and told him the Spirit bore witness to me of the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His response to me was, if the Spirit told you it is true, then it is true. He knew that the truth cannot be denied especially if the Spirit bears witness of it. I would love to know if Pastor Jeff has prayed about The Book of Mormon and the restoration of the Gospel.

@DavidAlexander - I was just talking with someone today about someone we knew who'd immigrated to the United States and how much he loves being here. Then we got to talking about what we took dor granted about living in the United States of America and then the people who live here and complain about it. Its awesome to see your love for the gospel and the value you see in it, having lived so long without it, you've tasted the fruit as this particular time and its sweet, you love it. So many of us have been eating it everyday and its become the usual for us and forget the value it really has compared to other possibilities. Not that other possibilities are bad because Evangelicals brought you out of a gulf of misery and endless woe to start you on a better path. Its what God saw fit to allow to happen to at least get you going somewhere positive, he had to work by other means to prepare you for something more that you could handle at the right time. Then as you were ready memorizing the Book of John, then it suddenly made sense, God had you all prepared up for the next phase and here you stand. Line upon line, right? Thats really what I wanted to say. Youre a good man who knows what he knows and loves what he loves and a lot morw Latter-day Saints could be like you, and sadly we're not because its day to day we're so used to it, but youre setting a good example. Thanks for being the man that you are, and youre already taking bullets for the Church because of your decision to be baptized by authority, and youre defending against scrutiny already, that because you know, God told you it was right. I see where Greg is coming from. But, your approach is the correct one David. Greg's approach would also be correct, if done in private between him and Jeff. I am genuine friends with plenty of people not of my faith, some who have tried to "save" me! Doesn't mean I am any less of a friend. But I wouldn't give them a platform, or support their errant platform. That doesn't mean I'm not a genuine friend. The mist of darkness is real. So is the restored gospel! Prayers that Pastor Jeff's heart will someday be softened. 🙏 What a joyous day that would be!
Good point! It's amazing that someone can read the Book of Mormon and NOT recognized these passages. There are such tremendous preachings in there that I think even a well meaning Evangelical can appreciate.
Makes you wonder what his purpose is in moving to Utah? Why doesn't he "investigate" other religions or is he just finding that his agenda has been so well accepted by members of our church that he has found his profitable way of life. I have unsubsidized to Pastor Jeff and will use the time I listened to him to listen and study the teachings of our prophets and apostles.
I appreciated the video you shared. I liked watching CWIC when Greg went over Pastor Jeff’s video on reading the Book of Mormon because PJ’s interpretation always frustrated me. I’m a convert and lived in NY for 30+ years. I had many evangelical friends who loved my family and others who didn’t. Long time members who haven’t lived in the mission field don’t know what he’s doing. Thanks for reminding us.
I did notice on one of the latest videos from Pastor Jeff he is moving to Utah. I’m guessing that’s where the majority of his followers live. A little red flag went off for me thinking that that’s where he was going to create a flock of like-minded people. When he first came on the scene, it was extremely refreshing to have a minister from another faith objectively look at our faith without loud bold criticism. You are right at the end of each of his videos he lovingly tells us how wrong we are and it would be easy to let those little doubts creep into our own minds, especially those that are struggling with a crisis of faith. Those that are questioning should go straight to the source of God and Jesus Christ and our prophets and apostles not Pastor Jeff. In Acks 20 :29 it says. For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. 30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. I believe all internet UA-cam personalities need to be very careful not to set them Selfs up as an authority or a spokesperson for the Church. I don’t think you or Greg have done that. I’m just saying be careful who you listen to. I’m sure Pastor Jeff thinks we are the Wolf’s and we might think he is. I would hope we could have civil dialog but don’t ever take off your armor of God what ever you do.

I loved your song taken from Isaiah 35 verses 8 to 10. The resurrected lord appeared to the Nephites and in 3Nephi 23 verses one, and two declare that the words of Isaiah are great. I cant even wait to finish this video without saying how much I appreciate you David. HOw much we need your insight and encouragement. You wonder why Greg does not ask PJ these questions. Im pretty sure I know. He does not have the same agenda as PJ. PJ is evangelizing us, Greg is not trying to convert PJ. But shouldnt we? If we want to build bridges we have to lay down some planks. The questions you are putting out there represent the real girders of our faith. I can be friends with evangelicals without allowing them to rip my faith---even in a nice way. I would not want to see that. It would be the most awkward conversation. If David said what he needed to say and has said which is a true warning from our Father in Heaven it would begin and end badly. I also wouldn’t want to see David be placed in conversation of contention. Pastor Jeff has rejected the Spirit of God so many times and he’s becoming rich by criticizing our Father’s church. I’m getting such a strong negative spirit from Pastor Jeff that I’m concerned he’s no longer speaking his own mind, but rather a spokesman for Lucifer and his dark spirits.

Sometimes saints with deeply rooted testimonies do not recognize how dangerous someone like PJ is for the less grounded testimony. He is here to cherry pick the vulnerable weak sheep in the flock. Therfore, please recognize that the "no harm done" claim of well meaning saints fails to recognize Pj's danger. It's not about you, it's about the more vulnerable Saint whose demise your contributing to.
We know in the last days, even the very elect will be deceived unless they stay firm in the truth by following the prophet, diligently searching and studying the scriptures and learning to live by and follow the spirit.
My wife listened to three videos of Pastor Jeff and she wasn’t impressed. She felt the same way about the video and Pastor Jeff. I never thought about his purpose till the video you put it up. It really put things in perspective. I don’t mind listening to him but I understand the difference between the religions. People need to hear all sides and choose. As the Book of Mormon states we need the opposition in all things. My kids need to read the scriptures and choose. Being a Latter-day Saint is a choice.
I feel like I have understood where Pastor Jeff is coming from ever since day one. When I am interested in hearing his viewpoint, I listen. at 2x speed. I'm happy to hear his viewpoints, I have always assumed he'd like to evangelize me and others in the church, and I am not bothered by it in the least. I feel like I know what he is doing and I listen accordingly. That said, I have not bothered to recommend him to my family. One thing that Pastor Jeff said that I really appreciated, is that he felt a general sadness in the air when he visited Nauvoo. I get that feeling at Nauvoo but as a member of the Church who believes Joseph Smith was a true Prophet of God. I thought it was really interesting that Pastor Jeff picked up on that same feeling in Nauvoo while having a different viewpoint or set of beliefs.
David, I will make a post on Cory,s video on my two groups which I am an admin for. I am going to do my bit to warn people about pastor Jeff and expose him as a sheep in wolf,s clothing. I have never ever really felt that he was a sincere seeker for the truth.

Why does Pastor Jeff feel he needs to move to Utah and why does he want to study everything about doctrine only to point out where his faith differs. How does that build bridges with saints to undermine what we believe. Our doctrine is on going and very much alive and will give him content to point out differences. That’s never ending material he can work with to get likes. If you build bridges you don’t tear down what other religions hold to be true. This has been bothering me. Having lived much of my life outside of the restored gospel of God,I know they (evangelicals) absolutely don't believe we worship Jesus Christ. Not only that David, but they see the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a threat to their livelihood,the know the truth is to be found in the restored church....they truly in their hearts and souls that their beliefs are not what the apostles of Christ taught.

Appreciate you pushing back here with the blunt reality. I discerned what Pastor Jeff was about very early on (and as you said, nothing personal against him) and other LDS need to atleast be aware. Because ultimately, his goal is to lead people out of the Church. I have zero doubt this has already happened and will only increase. Not healthy consumption.
It is *obvious* that Jeff is very measured in his words. He does not actually understand us because he still believes all the tropes. If he were honest, he would flat out say that he believes that we are in it for our own planet instead of pretend that he understands. I’m super disappointed with Greg. I hope he actually considers what you have to say and I would hope he would give you as much screen time as he gives Jeff. I would love to see Jeff talk to you, but something tells me he won’t. You’re spot on, David. I was curiously following Pastor Jeff’s videos, but a few of his recent ones rubbed me the wrong way and while I think he’s a good guy with good intentions, real bridges of understanding are not being built by his efforts.

As I've pondered PJ's move to Utah, at first it bothered me because I know what his intentions are - to lure away as many Latter-Day Saints away from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as possible. But, although I'm certainly not happy about it, I feel a peace about it too. I feel a peace because I know that this is nothing new, attempts have been made before to thwart The Church and it's member's and it will continue! The separation of the wheat from the tares must happen. It grieves me that any Latter-Day Saint delves into anti-Latter-Day Saint propoganda thinking its won't harm them. It grieves me to see anyone leave The Church...but they have their free agency to do what they choose. Many will leave and become embittered...but many will also choose to become members - very strong members. Look at Br Alexander! The efforts to thwart Jesus Christ's church will not be successful because we know who is in charge! This is Jesus Christ's church here in earth, and those who hate His church cant change that. Look at all the temples being built throughout the world! Of course Satan and his wildly salivating minions aren't happy about this. Everything will be thrown in an attempt to thwart The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints growth. Our missionary efforts are the best in the world. Nobody comes close to what The Church does in terms of our missionary efforts and our humanitarian efforts. Honestly, Pastor Jeff cannot hold a candle to President Nelson, Elder Holland, Elder Bednar, Elder Oaks, or any of our other Apostles and General Authorities...not any of them. It's honestly beyond laughable that he thinks he can school any of them. Give me a break. Smh. I love Br Alexander's channel because listening to him is so uplifting and spiritually strengthening. I also love to read the comments from very strong and devout Latter-Day Saints who further strengthen me and fill me with joy at the faithfulness of the Saints! We aren't perfect, but we are strong. Many of you come from strong pioneer stock running through your veins and I look so forward to reading your uplifting comments. We can strengthen and edify each other through all of this. It's certainly trying times and we need to hold on tightly to the iron rod, but those of us who are on that covenant path have nothing to fear. I fear for those who choose to take that exit ramp, especially after making covenants in the temple. I fear for those who preach against Jesus Christ's church. God will not be mocked, that is not just a saying, it is real and there will be a day of real reckoning. Many will regret their actions, but it will be too late. Love to you all.

I agree with your points about pastor Jeff and have felt that this is what he was doing from the beginning. It’s good to hear that I’m not crazy. I really like Jeff a lot because, as you said, he’s extremely nice; however, I have had issues with his views on the Book of Mormon as he doesn’t attempt to see how it could be true or dig deeper to see why we believe it to be true. Hello David, Thanks for calling PJ out on this. I started watching him early on, and at first I thought he might be sincere about just wanting to know what we(LDS) were all about. But it son became clear to me that he had other motives. I unsubscribed to his channel after feeling really uncomfortable about some of the things, and ways, he was saying things about our religion. It just did t feel right to me, and I recognized that feeling as coming to me from the Holy Ghost, as I’ve felt it many times before when things just aren’t quite in line with the teachings of the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. This kind of talk is not new to me, as I heard it throughout my life, coming from evangelicals, while in my childhood, in college, and while serving my mission. One of the creepiest things I’ve ever experienced was an angry evangelical preacher, who was trying to keep some of her members from leaving, come into their home, while we were teaching. The room literally turned dark. She was so evil, and I was literally so afraid. I wish now I would have been brave enough to cast those evil spirits out, but I wasn’t. My companion and I just got up and left. Regardless of my not being brave, the Lord works in mysterious ways, because there is now a Temple being built in that area. Satan didn’t win after all. Anyway, I just hope you know that I think you’re doing a great job in proclaiming the truth. Their are that be with us than be with them. We are small, but with God all things are possible.

Hi, David. I wouldn't read too much into Greg's comment. Should he have made it? Probably not. Could he have elaborated or worded it better to avoid confusion? Yeah, definitely. Either way, I think we should give Greg the benefit of the doubt. I think he is a sincere person who does a lot of good. I appreciate that he tries to bring to light a range of important topics affecting the Church in these Latter-days. I hope he takes the opportunity to clarify what he meant. I would love to hear a conversation between you and Greg about the Pastor Jeff situation to get both of your perspectives. Personally, I tend to agree more with David regarding P.J. but maybe Greg has some insights that we haven't considered? Best of luck at the Potluck. I can't wait to see videos on how it turned out. David, what I like about your videos is your knowledge of the Bible and when you site the Bible verses IN CONTEXT that combine to complete doctrinal teachings of the true church and correct false doctrine found in emails that you are sent. It helps me see the truth through what Pastor Jeff THINKS the truth is.
A man posted a comment yesterday....that started out something like, "David you are a nice man, the Church needs more like you....and then he went on to speak of what a zealous Saint he was...till he lost his faith due to a list of "Facts" about a number of secondary issues...and said he can't come back until those "facts" are refuted somehow. I was quite taken with his list of things...stuff like the polygamy, of course...but also stuff like Joseph Smith applying for Copyright on the Book of Mormon, listing himself as the author, etc.

Rather than responding to Pres Nelson’s manifestation and outpouring of the pure love of Christ, Jeff critiqued him by adding scriptures to the talk, and I was aghast!! I could see and hear a deep-seated arrogance in Jeff, but no evidence of having or speaking by the Holy Spirit. Have no interest in hearing further from Jeff. PS Could not find any evidence of Jeff having actually pastored a church (past or present). He does have an MA from Moody Bible Inst., but I think his “church” is his LDS followers online, whom he hopes to convert🥲

Thank you so much, David! I am also a convert to the church. I received a direct answer from Heavenly Father when I read the Book of Mormon and asked if it was true. I tried one time to watch Pastor Jeff and alarm bells went off. I noticed how he seemed to skim through the Book of Mormon and purposely not address how often the Book of Mormon mentions Jesus Christ. He was just in a hurry to criticize it and then preach his false ideas and understanding. I honestly don't care if other churches accept us and love us. I remember President Nelson telling us to be different, to be "weird". I believe that was in a talk he gave to BYU. If the world loves us and thinks we are "cool", it means we are doing something wrong. I am used to my family telling me I am in a cult. They are wrong. I love everyone, but they have to seek for the truth just as I did. If they read the Book of Mormon, as my mother did, to mock it, to criticize it, they will not receive an answer as to it's truth.
Great points, Linda. I don’t think the Holy Spirit testifies for the sake of curiosity or sign-seeking. A heart sincerely seeking truth is required if a person wants to get real answers.

I mentioned several times on Jeff’s channel that he avoids the beautiful things that are found in the Book of Mormon that any true lover of our Saviour would love to hear he never mentions them and talks about very little things of very little consequence, like battles. I like him but do not believe he is at all censer about looking for the positives. I don’t believe anyone who truly wish to understand what we believe would do that. That has been very disappointing to me. If doesn’t see the beauty of third. nephi he is not what I think me wants us to believe. I think his reaction of Third Nephi will be obvious. Carol
Your testimony is beautiful and strong. I listened to Pastor Jeff a couple of times, and the alarm bell started sounding loud and clear. I can’t waste my time, listening to him when I have a prophet, 12 apostles, 70s and other leaders who I can listen to, and learn from. They help build my testimony, not tear it down by gently sowing seeds of doubt.

The problem is that Pastor Jeff thinks he has the truth, so he's not humble and teachable. And because he's sure he has the truth, he will do his best to spread his "truth".
I was at first (like many others) excited that an evangelical pastor (Jeff) was willing to look into and understand our church and to help build bridges between our faiths. I watched a few of his videos.
Then I began to feel that his interest was not unto learning possible truth, so that he might expand and increase his own faith, but in responding to and contradicting our beliefs and doctrine to prove them and us wrong. Therefore I quit supporting him and his channel. However, 2 days ago when I saw one pop up that said he was moving to Utah, I had hope again that he was being drawn into the true church. Then I heard him say he was coming to Utah to work with other pastors in building up his religion in Utah. I believe he has found an inroad into the “Mormon” community and is going to keep widening that road for us to follow (and building off-ramps from our church).
So grateful we are for your videos and for the warrior you are, Brother David!!!
Same! I stopped watching PJ until the moving to Utah video popped up and it didn’t take long to feel like there is a snake in the grass looking for anyone who feels shaky in their testimony.

It's very important to have oil in our lamps by building up reservoirs of righteousness, as Spencer W. Kimball taught in Faith Proceeds the Miracle, so that we are strongly rooted in the fullness of the gospel and so we can help others have faith.

I believe this is what Pastor Jeff is wanting to do, to try to latch onto any disgrunted LDS he can. It's unfortunate he hasn't followed up with being baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and to strive the rest of his life to bring individuals into the Church, as well.
Thank you again David for speaking the truth! I agree with you that many members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints are too nice especially when it comes to dealing with evangelical Christian’s who are openly or secretly antagonistic against us. I think this is especially true of LDS members who grew up in Utah their whole lives and have very little experience with Evangelical Christians. I have a unique perspective because I was born in Utah and then moved to Ohio where my mom who was a convert was from. My mom enrolled us is a private Christian school and the second they found out I was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ I was mocked and shunned one of my friends told me “ My parents won’t let me play with you anymore because you are in a cult.” I was told by kids and adults that I was going to “burn in hell.” As a third grade child I wondered how people who professed to be Christian could be so hateful, this wasn’t very Christlike in my opinion. As I got older I noticed the hypocrisy worsening as my evangelical friends continued to assert that I was headed to the lake of fire even though I followed Christ’s teachings from the Bible they professed to believe in. I was chaste and honest and followed the commandments while they slept around, did drugs, drank alcohol and didn’t follow Christ’s teachings or commandments yet they were saved and I was not according to them. I thought to myself why would I trade more light and truth for less, that would be insane like trading a sports car for a skateboard. This is what Saints who leave the true restored church would be doing if they choose to follow pastor Jeff instead. Pastor Jeff is like a swine who has a pearl of great price cast at his feet but he doesn’t recognize it. I hope and pray someday he will but in the meantime I am not going to give his channel any of my time, I doubt president Nelson would listen to pastor Jeff’s videos it is a waste of time, he has more important things to do building up the kingdom of heaven and so do we.
Btw I enjoyed your family history bit, I am a direct descendant of Robert the Bruce through my third or 4th great grandfather Joseph Stewart Allen who was one of Joseph Smith’s bodyguards.
I think I am also related to Robert the Bruce. It’s on my dad’s side. But I need to double check. My mom is the genealogy guru in my family, along with one of my sisters. I’ll have to ask one of them - they know all this stuff, but pretty sure I am related.
I don’t think everything is a conspiracy. There does not need to be a conspiracy for something to have a negative effect on people. I was very troubled by the first few videos I watched of Pastor Jeff because I could tell right from the beginning that he had no intent of finding truth and had every intent of being critical of the church in a very sweet, loving and concerned way! At the same time he was making money off of his efforts! I would rather spend my precious time in the scriptures or listening to the brethren!

The thing is, Greg is strong in his religion, he doesnt think about the "fragile" testimonies that are trying to be established. As many admire Greg (rightly so), they are persuaded that PJ is golden.
I think Greg sincerely feels paster Jeff is his friend and they truly are building bridges . But he is sincerely wrong . Greg needs to take heed . Jeff wants latter-day Saints to come to Jesus on HIS TERMS, and not on the Lord's terms and that is why we are troubled for he has shown those among us who are wise as serpents who have come across his videos and we see him come in amongst us and we say who is this? What manner of man is this that comes in among us and says he loves the Lord but hes not willing to submit himself to the Lord's terms and conditions that are in Zion as we have done but tells us instead that he wants to set his own terms for coming unto Jesus by his OWN WAYS instead and telling us that the Prophet does not know the way to come unto Christ. All I see him doing ever since he showed up in LDS Circles is slowly Chipping away at the doctrines of the Restored Church, undermining also the Revelations of God from our leaders and also chipping away at the teachings of the Book of Mormon saying its teachings are faulty because they don't bring people to Jesus on his own terms.

That's the Lord's Standard and David you knew what the Lord's Standard was because you recognized his Authority in his servants and had meet the conditions that the Lord had asked and put your faith into action and was baptized into Zion and now you are learning the doctrine of the kingdom with the priesthood not just learning now with just the Bible and have been granted more power from the Lord than what you had when you only had just the Bible... A man who claims to be from God and be wise has to submit himself to the Lord and consider himself a fool in his own wisdom and obey the ordinances that are in Zion and only then is he truly wise and has the riches of eternity.. And when hes comes into Zion, his object in Zion has to be none other than the building up of Zion. He must not be caught with a chisel in his hand and a hammer in the other busy slowly all chipping away at the Foundations of the Faith of the Saints. That is not someone who labors in Zion but that is someone instead who spends their time chipping away at Zion. Ever since he started his hello saint videos he has been using the Bible to slowly chip away at the foundations

I posted on one of PJ's early videos that he was either truly looking into the restored gospel of Christ or he was just building another revenue stream, I think its blatantly clear that the latter was always his pure intention. Hey disenfranchised saints where PJ lives! Have an issue with the Church? PJ wants to fellowship you and wants your tithing money to build his new church and his house. In the meantime you probably can go worship PJ in some high school auditorium.

He “teaches” about our religion in a way that “kindly and gently” creates doubt and loss of testimony. That’s what true seducers do. And what exactly makes anyone donate to this priestcraft? He is not, but Evangelical Christianity is the wolf. Pastor Jeff is a child of God who is blind. Evangelical thought is by and large a cult think that people get sucked into. But remember that Paul became so because the Lord intervened in His life and was able to have his blindness cured because of the high priest who through God’s priesthood set him straight. We need to follow the advice in D&C 71:7 and D&C 18:20 by NOT being afraid of Pastor Jeff, but by standing firm in truth and defending slanders.

I enjoyed following Pastor Jeff for about 3-5 months. But, when he began reading the Book of Mormon and overlooking what it teaches of Jesus Christ, I had to stop watching. When I learn about other faiths, I try to find the truths that I can carry with me. Pastor Jeff clearly isn't doing that with the Book of Mormon. His intention seems to be to point out everything her perceives as flawed, and almost entirely ignoring all the things about Jesus Christ.
But, I kept watching in hopes for him to point out something where he could say, "Yes. I feel that deeply. That point is true." But instead, he said something to the effect of, "Your understanding of Jesus had to be based in the truth of the Bible." The issue I have with that is if the Bible is your sole source for understanding and knowing Jesus Christ, then why are there hundreds of different churches who all "solely follow the Bible," yet preach such drastically different things? It got to me. I felt like telling him (this would be rude of me, so I don't), lDon't present yourself as having all the answers! Don't present yourself as having Jesus all figured out! None of us have Jesus entirely figured out! Even Peter as he shared a meal of fish and honeycomb with the resurrected Lord didn't have Him all figured out! Who do you think you are? Don't you have the humility to acknowledge that there are still things you are waiting for God to teach you?"
The lack of humility I think is the biggest issue I have with my Evangelical brothers and sisters. It feels like being in an abusive relationship. Here I am, and many Latter-day Saints are, and I love so much of what they do. They put together these amazing, inspiring truth-filled films, they honor the cross (I think we could do better, in my opinion), they do such a good job of just having faith in Jesus's ability to save, they serve each other, they serve in the communities where they live. And I love them for all these things. I want to befriend them and be with them!
But then, the abuse. So frequently, they turn around and hate me because I believe in covenants and strive to keep them. They hate me and spit on a book that has inspired me to follow Jesus countless times. They protest and fight the temples I go to when I need to be humbled, more selfless, and trusting in the Lord. And then, finally, they tell me and so many people I love that we believe in a different Jesus because we read the Bible differently from them, which, ironically, many evangelicals already do the exact same thing. But the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the exception, in their books. It breaks my heart.
It breaks my heart because I have promised and covenanted with God to love and serve ALL His children, whether they believe like me or not. And yet, they choose to hate you. Truly, as I think about the irony of it all, the only thing that gives me comfort is literally Jesus Christ. John 15:20, John 16:2, Matthew 5:10, Acts 7:52, Romans 8:35.
Still, the best part of it is Jesus Christ. He still loves them and tells me that He does. And He tells me that all I have to worry about is loving them, and focusing on myself (to not be a hypocrite in any way).
I was excited to make an evangelical friend in Pastor Jeff, but I don't think I want to be CLOSE friends with someone who has clearly made up their mind that they are always right, and I'm almost always wrong.
But, I wish Pastor Jeff the best in his endeavors in Utah. I hope he and his family enjoy the abundance of beauty. And I hope that at some point in the future, we can--all Christians together--be edified. D&C 50:22 (50:12-22)
Another thing to consider: He put up a video of a fellow evangelical who was boasting about coming to sacrament meeting and belittling and tearing down the faith of two missionaries. He was in the corner agreeing with everything she said. He took it down when he was overwhelmed with negative feedback, but doesn’t that show what his real agenda is underneath his veneer?

Yup, saw that one and was disgusted that PJ would post it and try to “critique” her approach, the missionary responses, and then try to share his version of the truths that were challenged in the video. Pastor Jeff openly states that he doesn't believe the restored gospel, or the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, otherwise he would join.
I felt that way by just watching one of Pastors first videos. There is a couple of American Indian proverbs that came to mind. “There is nothing as eloquent as a rattlesnakes tail.” “Cherish youth, but trust old age.” I’m turning 73 next month and boy does experience beget wisdom! There is soooo much pulling our young people away. By youth I mean 30-50 year olds! Our now 49 year old daughter was pulled in by John Dahlin 10 years ago while my husband and I were on a mission for the church. And her brother just 2 years younger was having doubts then too. He served a mission, all five of my children received their temple blessings. And we grieve and grieve and grieve and pray and pray and pray daily for our lost children. Our son has long since quit going to church though his son, our grandson is serving a truly amazing mission! There are so many snakes slithering around showing off their beautiful (visible or invisible) tattoos and (charming?) hissing words! I know that not everyone who gets a tattoo are evil but it hurts my heart to see them defiling their temple with graffiti! “Dirty rotten stinkin rats” is pretty good, but snakes is how the Lord has described satan. I had an interesting exchange with a Baptist minister at the Texas State Fair for about an hour while on our mission in 2013. That’s another story but I am still amazed at how the Lord directed me. At the words He put in my mouth because I was praying mightily for those words! I’ll share that story later if you’re interested. But I just wanted to say your testimony thrills me and I “trust” your wisdom! Keek on telling the truth! I love the Lord with all my heart! Thanks David! Your sister in Christ!❤
Jeff recently moved to Utah and he said his home buying fell apart so they didn't know what they were going to do when they got here. He said that they just had to trust the Lord and follow through and the Lord came through for them. So I said on that video don't look now but you just learned what Lehi and his family went through.😂

I find it wonderful that at the same time pastor Jeff's is establishing his fancy, well produced, and entertaining "great and spacious building" of a UA-cam channel working to increase doubt and speculation about the restored gospel, God saw fit to call a lifetime evangelical named David out of obscurity, creating a humble, simply produced, and spirit filled counter to the accusatory fog of pastor Jeff's channel. It's not a coincidence. God's style is all over it. Satan's style is fancy, pompous, and showy. God's is plain, simple, and humble. David is our literal David taking on the Goliath of a "paid to play" evangelical pastor raking in big bucks to lead men astray who has gone so far as to move to Utah to convert as many as possible.

I have strongly disagreed with some things that Brother Greg says in his videos. I'm sure you see more clearly what our pastor friend is really doing. I agree with you 110%. There is nothing at all wrong with being a "conspiracy theorist". Actual conspiracies have always existed and always will exist. People who discredit others by labeling them as "conspiracy theorist" are deceiving themselves. I suspect the pastor moved to Utah because he thinks it is his mission to save LDS members from their "cult"

We do not need to watch him to pray for his or any of man kinds salvation. And it's OK even important to recognize when something or someone is exercising their agency in a way that could harm our Spirit. If you do not know, many are being led away from the restored gospel because of his teachings. We should absolutely pray for him to have an Alma the younger moment and the same for those he is leading astray. ❤️
TRUTH!! I'd be curious to know if the many who are being sucked in to Pastor Jeff's channel are mostly life-long, "born-into" Latter-day Saints who probably don't appreciate what we have. I doubt that converts who have been searching for the truth would buy into it. My husband never would because of his searching and then finding the True Church of Jesus Christ.

I would suggest you refer to David Alexander as Brother Alexander rather than Elder Alexander. The title Elder is typically used in the church for our missionaries and for the higher levels of leadership in the church. 😊❤

Thank You for your insight. I grew up with a Pentecostal Pastor Father. He would say anyone who does not believe in his religions definition of the Gospel they are children of the devil. He taught against all religions. When I became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I shared with him my conversion testimony and told him the Spirit bore witness to me of the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His response to me was, if the Spirit told you it is true, then it is true. He knew that the truth cannot be denied especially if the Spirit bears witness of it. I would love to know if Pastor Jeff has prayed about The Book of Mormon and the restoration of the Gospel.
In one of his videos, he answered that Question. NO! Because he is studying it as a scholar, not a seeker of truth!

@DavidAlexander - I was just talking with someone today about someone we knew who'd immigrated to the United States and how much he loves being here. Then we got to talking about what we took dor granted about living in the United States of America and then the people who live here and complain about it.
Its awesome to see your love for the gospel and the value you see in it, having lived so long without it, you've tasted the fruit as this particular time and its sweet, you love it. So many of us have been eating it everyday and its become the usual for us and forget the value it really has compared to other possibilities. Not that other possibilities are bad because Evangelicals brought you out of a gulf of misery and endless woe to start you on a better path. Its what God saw fit to allow to happen to at least get you going somewhere positive, he had to work by other means to prepare you for something more that you could handle at the right time. Then as you were ready memorizing the Book of John, then it suddenly made sense, God had you all prepared up for the next phase and here you stand. Line upon line, right?
Thats really what I wanted to say. Youre a good man who knows what he knows and loves what he loves and a lot morw Latter-day Saints could be like you, and sadly we're not because its day to day we're so used to it, but youre setting a good example. I see where Greg is coming from. But, your approach is the correct one David. Greg's approach would also be correct, if done in private between him and Jeff.
I am genuine friends with plenty of people not of my faith, some who have tried to "save" me! Doesn't mean I am any less of a friend. But I wouldn't give them a platform, or support their errant platform. That doesn't mean I'm not a genuine friend.

I appreciated the video you shared. I liked watching CWIC when Greg went over Pastor Jeff’s video on reading the Book of Mormon because PJ’s interpretation always frustrated me. I’m a convert and lived in NY for 30+ years. I had many evangelical friends who loved my family and others who didn’t. Long time members who haven’t lived in the mission field don’t know what he’s doing. Thanks for reminding us.
I did notice on one of the latest videos from Pastor Jeff he is moving to Utah. I’m guessing that’s where the majority of his followers live. A little red flag went off for me thinking that that’s where he was going to create a flock of like-minded people. When he first came on the scene, it was extremely refreshing to have a minister from another faith objectively look at our faith without loud bold criticism. You are right at the end of each of his videos he lovingly tells us how wrong we are and it would be easy to let those little doubts creep into our own minds, especially those that are struggling with a crisis of faith. Those that are questioning should go straight to the source of God and Jesus Christ and our prophets and apostles not Pastor Jeff.

I believe all internet UA-cam personalities need to be very careful not to set them Selfs up as an authority or a spokesperson for the Church. I don’t think you or Greg have done that. I’m just saying be careful who you listen to.

I would not want to see that. It would be the most awkward conversation. If David said what he needed to say and has said which is a true warning from our Father in Heaven it would begin and end badly. I also wouldn’t want to see David be placed in conversation of contention. Pastor Jeff has rejected the Spirit of God so many times and he’s becoming rich by criticizing our Father’s church. I’m getting such a strong negative spirit from Pastor Jeff that I’m concerned he’s no longer speaking his own mind, but rather a spokesman for Lucifer and his dark spirits.

David, spot on with your response to Greg, Kurt, and Luke. Someone with access to Jeff needs to ask him the big questions. I think we’re afraid to. I think we all instinctively know how it’s going to go. He’ll either say no, we’re not real Christians or he’ll beat around the bush about it. And no wonder. Your point about Dallas Jenkins calling us Christians was good to bring up, because many in the Evangelical community are trying to cancel him just for affiliating with Angel Studios to make The Chosen, his comments about us believing in the same Jesus as him aside.

Sometimes saints with deeply rooted testimonies do not recognize how dangerous someone like PJ is for the less grounded testimony. He is here to cherry pick the vulnerable weak sheep in the flock. Therfore, please recognize that the "no harm done" claim of well meaning saints fails to recognize Pj's danger. It's not about you, it's about the more vulnerable Saint whose demise your contributing to.
We know in the last days, even the very elect will be deceived unless they stay firm in the truth by following the prophet, diligently searching and studying the scriptures and learning to live by and follow the spirit.
My wife listened to three videos of Pastor Jeff and she wasn’t impressed. She felt the same way about the video and Pastor Jeff. I never thought about his purpose till the video you put it up. It really put things in perspective. I don’t mind listening to him but I understand the difference between the religions. People need to hear all sides and choose. As the Book of Mormon states we need the opposition in all things. My kids need to read the scriptures and choose. Being a Latter-day Saint is a choice.
I feel like I have understood where Pastor Jeff is coming from ever since day one. When I am interested in hearing his viewpoint, I listen. at 2x speed. I'm happy to hear his viewpoints, I have always assumed he'd like to evangelize me and others in the church, and I am not bothered by it in the least. I feel like I know what he is doing and I listen accordingly. That said, I have not bothered to recommend him to my family. One thing that Pastor Jeff said that I really appreciated, is that he felt a general sadness in the air when he visited Nauvoo. I get that feeling at Nauvoo but as a member of the Church who believes Joseph Smith was a true Prophet of God. I thought it was really interesting that Pastor Jeff picked up on that same feeling in Nauvoo while having a different viewpoint or set of beliefs.
It sounds like you appreciate that in him you have found someone who shares your view point on at least one view point. A bridge.

David. THANK YOU! You said what I have been thinking and feeling about Pastor Jeff. I appreciate you addressing this concern because my biggest question was why? Why does Pastor Jeff feel he needs to move to Utah and why does he want to study everything about doctrine only to point out where his faith differs. How does that build bridges with saints to undermine what we believe. Our doctrine is on going and very much alive and will give him content to point out differences. That’s never ending material he can work with to get likes. If you build bridges you don’t tear down what other religions hold to be true. This has been bothering me. Having lived much of my life outside of the restored gospel of God,I know they (evangelicals) absolutely don't believe we worship Jesus Christ. Not only that David, but they see the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a threat to their livelihood,the know the truth is to be found in the restored church....they truly in their hearts and souls that their beliefs are not what the apostles of Christ taught.

You’ve been prepared for a time such as this David. Youre 100% correct on this. I feel like I’m all alone because I don’t buy Jeff’s motive. He’s a great dude. But he has another motive… obviously.
Appreciate you pushing back here with the blunt reality. I discerned what Pastor Jeff was about very early on (and as you said, nothing personal against him) and other LDS need to atleast be aware. Because ultimately, his goal is to lead people out of the Church. I have zero doubt this has already happened and will only increase. Not healthy consumption.
It is *obvious* that Jeff is very measured in his words. He does not actually understand us because he still believes all the tropes. If he were honest, he would flat out say that he believes that we are in it for our own planet instead of pretend that he understands.
I’m super disappointed with Greg. I hope he actually considers what you have to say and I would hope he would give you as much screen time as he gives Jeff. I would love to see Jeff talk to you, but something tells me he won’t.

You’re spot on, David. I was curiously following Pastor Jeff’s videos, but a few of his recent ones rubbed me the wrong way and while I think he’s a good guy with good intentions, real bridges of understanding are not being built by his efforts.

As I've pondered PJ's move to Utah, at first it bothered me because I know what his intentions are - to lure away as many Latter-Day Saints away from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as possible. But, although I'm certainly not happy about it, I feel a peace about it too. I feel a peace because I know that this is nothing new, attempts have been made before to thwart The Church and it's member's and it will continue! The separation of the wheat from the tares must happen. It grieves me that any Latter-Day Saint delves into anti-Latter-Day Saint propoganda thinking its won't harm them. It grieves me to see anyone leave The Church...but they have their free agency to do what they choose. Many will leave and become embittered...but many will also choose to become members - very strong members. Look at Br Alexander! The efforts to thwart Jesus Christ's church will not be successful because we know who is in charge! This is Jesus Christ's church here in earth, and those who hate His church cant change that. Look at all the temples being built throughout the world! Of course Satan and his wildly salivating minions aren't happy about this. Everything will be thrown in an attempt to thwart The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints growth. Our missionary efforts are the best in the world. Nobody comes close to what The Church does in terms of our missionary efforts and our humanitarian efforts. Honestly, Pastor Jeff cannot hold a candle to President Nelson, Elder Holland, Elder Bednar, Elder Oaks, or any of our other Apostles and General Authorities...not any of them. It's honestly beyond laughable that he thinks he can school any of them. Give me a break. Smh.
I love Br Alexander's channel because listening to him is so uplifting and spiritually strengthening. I also love to read the comments from very strong and devout Latter-Day Saints who further strengthen me and fill me with joy at the faithfulness of the Saints! We aren't perfect, but we are strong. Many of you come from strong pioneer stock running through your veins and I look so forward to reading your uplifting comments. We can strengthen and edify each other through all of this. It's certainly trying times and we need to hold on tightly to the iron rod, but those of us who are on that covenant path have nothing to fear. I fear for those who choose to take that exit ramp, especially after making covenants in the temple. I fear for those who preach against Jesus Christ's church. God will not be mocked, that is not just a saying, it is real and there will be a day of real reckoning. Many will regret their actions, but it will be too late. Love to you all.
Hi, David! I really loved this video. It was gracious and kind, but I believe it’s also necessary. I agree with your points about pastor Jeff and have felt that this is what he was doing from the beginning. It’s good to hear that I’m not crazy. I really like Jeff a lot because, as you said, he’s extremely nice; however, I have had issues with his views on the Book of Mormon as he doesn’t attempt to see how it could be true or dig deeper to see why we believe it to be true. Thanks for calling PJ out on this. I started watching him early on, and at first I thought he might be sincere about just wanting to know what we(LDS) were all about. But it son became clear to me that he had other motives. I unsubscribed to his channel after feeling really uncomfortable about some of the things, and ways, he was saying things about our religion. It just did t feel right to me, and I recognized that feeling as coming to me from the Holy Ghost, as I’ve felt it many times before when things just aren’t quite in line with the teachings of the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. This kind of talk is not new to me, as I heard it throughout my life, coming from evangelicals, while in my childhood, in college, and while serving my mission. One of the creepiest things I’ve ever experienced was an angry evangelical preacher, who was trying to keep some of her members from leaving, come into their home, while we were teaching. The room literally turned dark. She was so evil, and I was literally so afraid. I wish now I would have been brave enough to cast those evil spirits out, but I wasn’t. My companion and I just got up and left. Regardless of my not being brave, the Lord works in mysterious ways, because there is now a Temple being built in that area. Satan didn’t win after all. Anyway, I just hope you know that I think you’re doing a great job in proclaiming the truth. Their are that be with us than be with them. We are small, but with God all things are possible.

Hi, David. I wouldn't read too much into Greg's comment. Should he have made it? Probably not. Could he have elaborated or worded it better to avoid confusion? Yeah, definitely. Either way, I think we should give Greg the benefit of the doubt. I think he is a sincere person who does a lot of good. I appreciate that he tries to bring to light a range of important topics affecting the Church in these Latter-days. I hope he takes the opportunity to clarify what he meant. I would love to hear a conversation between you and Greg about the Pastor Jeff situation to get both of your perspectives. Personally, I tend to agree more with David regarding P.J. but maybe Greg has some insights that we haven't considered? Best of luck at the Potluck. I can't wait to see videos on how it turned out. David, what I like about your videos is your knowledge of the Bible and when you site the Bible verses IN CONTEXT that combine to complete doctrinal teachings of the true church and correct false doctrine found in emails that you are sent. It helps me see the truth through what Pastor Jeff THINKS the truth is.
