I was one voice on several occasions. When I was engaged to a wonderful Southern Baptist woman in 2016, her pastor spent an entire Sunday sermon preaching against "the Mormons" at the fastest growing church in the denomination. I scheduled a meeting with him to ask him why. At the time I knew almost nothing of our Church. I just knew, from my heart and scripture, that attaoking other Jesus followers was wrong. A few months later, God woke me up with His voice and directed me to join this Church, that I then knew almost nothing about. God is now doing this same work in others as well, let's prepare for many more arrivals like David.
Wow! Amazing! I love hearing others open their hearts for Christs church. You are so right! Whenever other churches try to tear us down so much it strengthens me. You never see our dear prophet take that long to slander other Christians. He is full of love.
You follow the "Spirit of Christ" which you were born with and the prompting of the "Holy Spirit" ;and therefore you will be led to all truth! David????????
Bro. David, Very powerful testimony!! I'm proud of you!!! Great job .... ❤ Did bare witness against Pastor Jeff and the accusatory fog and wanted you to know that you nailed it!! Pastor Jeff is a very nice man but I believe strongly, after watching every single one of his videos and almost getting sucked in, that he is building his ministry "feeding" off the Latter-day Saints. Why would we want to support him financially makes liittle sense to me. Those funds could go to our own Church to support the local Ward "Fast Offerings" fund, the Church "Humanitarian" fund or the Church "Missionary" fund. Think of the blessings we would receive by supporting our own Church. It's something to think about my fellow Latter-day Saints with Conference only four weeks away.... ❤❤ Melanie Watson-Powell Marshalltown, IA
My wife and I loved attending this beautiful Fireside presentation last night. Thank you David for your 47 years of patience. It's clear to everyone that the lord saved you for our day.
I never tire of hearing this testimony. I soooo wish that others I come in contact with outside the church can feel hungry for more like you David. I see anti stuff everywhere and if I stand up for it online I get laughed at (laughing emojis) I try to fight for Christs gospel any chance I can and I get laughed at. Lehis dream IS FOR US. But please keep trying my fellow saints.
Stand firm sister. They can laugh at us together! Some day the laughter will change to tears. If we are steadfast and lift where we stand, hopefully many of those tears will be happy ones for and by those who return to God in gratitude for the atonement of our beloved Savior. In the meantime we will endure their laughter a little while and exercise our hope. Love and light to you!
Brother David Alexander, I love your life story SO much!! I've learned that not much has changed in Christianity since Joseph searched for which church to join. As an LDS my whole life, I agree, we don't know the tremendous blessing we have. Thank you for putting this fireside online. It will help many members realize the diamond 💎 they have!
I have a similar experience. I was not a member , i actually hated the church and was very bitter. My friend who was in the church told me to come to a church event and i was converted. I was the last person any of my friends thought would go to church
A church event reactivated my mission president after 5 years of inactivity. He later went on to be president of the Mexico city temple. Santiago Mejia is his name.... a beautiful man of God
Thank you for your testimony. Every time I listen to your story it reminds me the story of my conversion 25 years ago. I was ready to climb on a roof of the building and shout to the people to stop and listen to what I had to say. I didn't have to spend 47 years but I was asking many questions since i was 14 and no one could answer me. The Lord led me to His church where i found all the answers, everything just worked out as a puzzle and each piece found its spot. I was baptized 4th October 1998 in Ukraine. My life is blessed because of the Gospel of Christ. Please keep sharing your testimony and let your light shine. Thank you for reminding me how I felt when i just joined the church ❤🙏 Keep going forward on the straight and narrow ❤
Our family loved being at the fireside and hearing what's in your heart. So much truth, unspeakable joy!! I never tire of hearing it A privilege to meet you and feel your heartfelt joy in finding the fullness of His Gospel through those sweet sister missionaries. ❤️ Bless you and your willingness to be with us.
Welcome to UTAH!! We are so thankful you are here! We will be following your firesides, talks, and posts during your visit. Loved, loved, LOVED this fireside! Your testimony is so powerful and many tears of JOY were shed. What a wonderful reminder of what we have in the Gospel of Jesus Christ! It is the one and only true Church and Kingdom of God on the earth! So many need to hear the word of the Restored Gospel. Either for the first time, or as a reminder to awake and re investigate what they've forgotten. Like Alma and other Book of Mormon Prophets said " Remember, oh Remember"! We love you, Brother Alexander! Thank you, Thank you!!
David, I absolutely love your testimony. Hearing your sweet testimony has brought tears of joy from the Holy Ghost confirming the truth of your testimony. Welcome home my brother In Christ, we love you.
Thank you David for reminding us of all the precious truths we have and too often take for granted. Your enthusiasm is infectious. Each of us need to raise our voices and share the truth. “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ” . Bless you!
I love hearing David’s story. His humble, genuine aching to follow Christ is beautiful. I want to be more like that! He is truly a disciple of Christ! 💕☀️
Your testimony is so strong brother Alexander! Your faith and love for the lord’s church is so powerful and so inspiring to me. We love you brother David ♥️♥️
David. Wonderful talk. I love the power of your testimony and the sincerity of it. The sincerity of it is like nothing I have ever seen in the church before in anyone. It is marvelous to behold and quite touching to me. It's inspiring. The Lord has had his eyes on you for many many years and has chosen this time to bring you into the gospel at this very time before the shortness of his coming when many hearts are failing that you are strengthening as well as finding and bringing in his other sheep The power and authority to act in his name is powerful. When I was confirmed by my father and given the gift of the holy ghost it was quite a special experience for me because it gave me a chance to see the power of my father's priesthood for the first time in my life at 8 years old. He at once stopped the blessing and was quiet for what seemed like a minute. Then he said these words " And Christian you will live to see the Savior" and then closed the blessing. My father told me later that he didn't want to say what the spirit was constraining him to say because it was so different which is why he was quiet for so long before pronouncing those words. But he said that he couldn't close that blessing without saying that to me in the blessing. I'm 53 years old and I'm quite sure that if you live to a goodly age you will live to see him as well. We were chosen because of our valor in fighting for him against the devil in the preexistence and because of our great love for him in that preexistence. For this reason we were chosen to come forth in these days to bring in his coming and to be here waiting for him when he comes again. Of this I am quite certain and you can be as well. You still have much work to do for him in your life. He will use you up as you are one of the most willing to take his name upon you that I have seen. A chosen vessel of him you indeed are.
This is one of the greatest testimonies I may have ever heard, I love his emphasis on what we have in the restored gospel. Do we know what we have? I pray that we remember always
Brother Alexander, I saw your first videos and I see you now and want you to know your light is growing brighter and more refined. You are a miracle in Gods hands and an inspiration to me. Don’t stop and stay humble. Your brother and friend Brian
Amen! As a fairly recent convert myself, I have the same sentiment. Lifelong members often don't comprehend yet what they have, and have had, their whole lives.
Life long member here. I have ancestors on my Mom 's side who accepted the restored gospel before the church was officially organized. My Dad's side was Catholic mobs and nuns...lol I am very grateful for my ancestors but I always like to remind myself that I have to work out my own salvation. I can't imagine going my whole life without the gift of the Holy Ghost. I have made very poor choices even with that. The fullness of the gospel is the only thing that softens my hard, stubborn heart.
I am also a life long member. I love listening to these messages because it reminds me that I have been blessed. People in general, me included, often take things they have always had for granted. I need to repent because I really DO love the Gospel and our Savior.
I was born in the covenant and was baptized at 8 years old. Christ and his church have been my rock and connection with the power of God in high. I can say with conviction I am blessed to have this gospel. My life has not been easy and I know without the true gospel I would not be here today. I am eternally grateful for my ancestors that heed the Savior's call to join the church. I am eternally grateful for loving parents that set an example of faith and commitment to the gospel. I trust that Christ knows my sorrow. I know there is a plan and that God's wisdom is greater than mine. That he lives. That Jesus is the Christ the Son of the living God. That he suffered and died for me. In the name of Jesus Christ Amen.
Hi David. I am just sticking this here. It was an answer to another person, but it is a bit of my experience. It’s the craziest thing. I had decided by the time I was a teenager that there was nobody that had real authoritative answers to the important questions of life and that one church was basically as good as another-that it was just a matter of personal choice. Boy, was I surprised while in the Marines I learned about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The attitude of people astounds me that they are wandering around the world looking for answers and yet are unwilling to look past the end of their noses.
Whoops, looks like my link was not good, here is the information. (As written by LDS Missionary Scott Anderson in his journal.) We had an unexpected moment in the mission field. We knocked on a door and a lady said something to us we had never heard, 'Come in.' Now remember, I was a German missionary. This never happened to us; no one ever invited us in. My companion said, 'Do you know who we are?' 'You want to talk about religion, don't you?' she said. 'Yes, we do', replied my companion. 'Oh, come in. I've been watching you walk around the neighborhood. I'm so excited to have you here. Please come into my study.' We went in and seated ourselves and she sat down behind the desk. She looked at us with a smile, then pointed to three PHD degrees hanging over her head. One is in Theology, the study of religion, one in Philosophy, the study of ideas, and one in European History specializing in Christianity. She then rubbed her hands together and said, 'Do you see this row of books here?' We looked at a well-arranged row of books. She then said, 'I wrote them all. I'm the Theology professor at the University of Munich. I've been doing this for 41 years. I love to talk about religion. What would you like to discuss?' My inspired companion said we'd like to talk about the Book of Mormon. She said, 'I don't know anything about the Book of Mormon.' He said, 'I know.' Twenty minutes later we walked out of the room. We had handed her a Book of Mormon and this trade off that we had been on was over. I didn't see this lady again for another eight and a half weeks. It was in a small room filled with people (when I saw her again), as she was standing in the front dressed in white. This Theology professor at the University of Munich was well known throughout Southern Germany. She stood up in front of this small congregation of people and said, 'Before I'm baptized I'd like to tell you my feelings. In Amos chapter 8:11 it says there will be a famine of the work of God. I've been in that famine for 76 years. Why do you think I have three PHD degrees? I've been hungering for truth and have been unable to find it. Then eight and one-half weeks ago, two boys walked into my home. I want you to know these boys are very nice and wonderful young men, but they didn't convert me. They couldn't; they don't know enough.' And then she smiled and said, 'but since the day they walked in my door I have read the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, the Pearl of Great Price, all of Talmage's great writings, Evidence and Reconciliations by John A. Widtsoe and 22 other volumes of church doctrine.' She then said something which I think is a challenge for every one of us here. She said, _'I don't think you members know what you have.'_ Then in her quiet, powerful way, she said, 'After those years of studying philosophy, I picked up the D&C and read a few verses that answered some of the greatest questions of Aristotle and Socrates! When I read those verses, I wept for four hours.' Then she said again, 'I don't think you members know what you have. Don't you understand the world is in a famine? Don't you know we are starving for what you have? I am like a starving person being led to a feast. And over these eight and one-half weeks I have been able to feast in a way I have never known to be possible.' Her powerful message and her challenging question were then ended with her favorite scripture, 'For you don't see the truth can make you free.' She said, 'these missionaries don't just carry membership in the church in their hands, they hold in their hands the power to make the atonement of Jesus Christ full force in my life. Today I'm going into the water and I'm going to make a covenant with Christ for the first time with proper authority. I've wanted to do this all my life.' None of us will forget the day that she was baptized. When she got finished being baptized, she got back out and before she received the Holy Ghost, she stood and said, 'Now I would like to talk about the Holy Ghost for a while.' She then gave us a wonderful talk about the gift of the Holy Ghost. (Later in Elder Anderson's journal) Two young missionaries, both relatively new, (one had been out about five months, the other three weeks) accidentally knocked on the door of the seminary in Reagansburg. One hundred twenty-five-wonderful men were studying to become priests inside. They didn't realize this was the door they had knocked on because it looked like any other door. They were invited in. In somewhat of a panic, the man said, 'I am sorry we just don't have time right now.' The two missionaries were relieved, but then he said, 'Would you come back next Tuesday and spend two hours addressing all 125 of our group and answer questions about your church?' They agreed that they would, and ran down the road screaming. They made a phone call to the mission president and cried for help. The mission president called us and said, 'Do you think that dear lady that you have just brought into the church would like to come help these two missionaries with this assignment?' I called her to explain what was to happen, and she said, 'more than I would like to eat, more than I would like to sleep, more than . . . ' I said, 'Fine, you don't have to explain.' We drove her to the seminary and as we went in, she grabbed the two missionaries that had originally been invited, put her arms around them and said, 'you are wonderful, young men. Would each of you spend about two minutes bearing your testimony and then sit down and be quiet please?' They were grateful for their assignment. They bore their testimony and then seated themselves. Then she got up and said, 'For the next 30 minutes I would like to talk to you about historical apostasy.' She knew every date and fact. She had a PHD in this. She talked about everything that had been taken away from the great teachings the Savior had given, mostly organizational, in the first part of her talk. Then the next 45 minutes were doctrinal. She gave every point of doctrinal changes, when it happened and what had changed. By the time she was done, she looked at them and said, 'In 1820 a boy walked into a grove of trees. He had been in a famine just like I have been. He knelt to pray, because he was hungry just like I have been. He saw God the Father and His Son. I know that is hard for you to believe that they could be two separate beings, but I know they are.' *She shared scriptures that showed that they were and then said, 'I would like to talk about historical restoration of truth.' She then, point by point, dates by date, from the Doctrine and Covenants put back the organizational structure of Christ's church. The last 20 minutes of her talk were absolutely brilliant. She doctrinally put the truth back in place, point by point, principle by principle. When she finished this profound talk, she said, 'I have been in a famine as talked about in Amos. You know that because last year I was here teaching you.' For the first time, we realized that she was their Theology professor. She continued by saying, 'Last year when I was teaching you, I told you that I was still in a famine. I have been led to a feast. I invite you to come.' She finished with her testimony and sat down. What happened next was hard for me to understand. These 125 sincere, wonderful men stood and for the next seven minutes, gave a standing ovation. By the time four minutes had gone by I was crying. I remember standing and looking into their eyes and seeing the tears in their eyes too. I wondered why they were applauding after the message she had given. I asked many of them later. They said, 'to hear someone so unashamed of the truth, to hear someone teaching with such power, to hear someone who finally has conviction.' The truth is what can set us free . . . Do we really know what we have? _
Brilliant! Thanks for posting. I intend to copy it out. And it has also my experience that links don't stay when I post or comment. When the little devil algorithms get busy they find those links and destroy them.
Wow, I love hearing your testimony. So powerful and stirring. It's so awesome that you are now able to speak as one having power and authority from God. It makes me think of Numbers 11:29 when Moses says, "would God that all the Lord’s people were prophets, and that the Lord would put his spirit upon them!" The Lord has definitely put his spirit upon you and you are doing a great work. You continue to inspire me to do a greater work than I have and to rise up and be done with lesser things.
May your voice sound throughout the world to awake those searching to Jesus our Lord and Savior and his marvelous gospel. You give so many people courage to stand up and speak. Thank you for such an incredible testimony.
Awesome talk! Maybe the most powerful testimony I have ever heard, over a meetinghouse pulpit, in the 45 years since I was baptized! Love you, Brother David!
Hearing for years now about returned missionaries leaving the church, if any of those missionaries leave the church after this witness, I will be so shocked!! This should be played in the MTC 😅. Brother Alexander I love your enthusiasm!! Thank you so much! The spirit is there with you and pierces my soul with your words. We Saints need more enthusiasm and the balance with reverence has been lopsided in my opinion. It always breaks my heart when members just pass each other in the hallway without smiling and greeting - we have everything to be happy about together. Being raised in the church is hard in some ways. I am so looking forward to the Savior’s return. ❤
Every time I've heard your beautiful and powerful testimony, tears have filled my eyes. What a wonderful fireside! Wish I could have been there but am so thankful for this video! God bless you, brother David!
Thank you David for your words of encouragement. I have felt the weight of ridicule. I have either replied with a forceful argument, driving the sports away, or I have been cowed to silence thinking, "what difference is it going to make, they won't listen anyway." But you are right, we must open our mouths and spread the good word of God! If others revile or are offended, it is not us individually they are reviling or being offended against. We must stand up for what is right. We don't have to be argumentative. We should share our testimony and move forward.
I am so glad to know the fulness of Christ's gospel! Brother David's testimony is incredibly contagious and I hope to share my testimony as powerfully as he!
David, Have you ever considered that maybe you’re mission on this earth was to testify the truth of this beautiful gospel to the world? That your testimony, insight and deep conviction have come from your long long heart wrenching and frustrating search. That you have been reserved to share your profound testimony because your long difficult and seemingly fruitless search has in reality now brought not only you to the truth but potentially countless others. Your journey has not been fruitless, on the contrary the fruits will be felt by countless others because of your story. Thank you David for sharing with such conviction and with all your heart to all the world this glorious truth. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints IS the true restored of Jesus Christ. Thank you David from the bottom of my heart. ❤️
I believe you are called to be a bridge for our evangelical brothers and sisters to come to know the restored Gospel in these increasingly troubled times, when "mens' hearts shall fail them" as they search in vain in all the wrong places for the Lord's Church and are blinded by Satan's accusatory fog. Your astounding knowledge of the New Testament built over 47 years is your primary tool in this work.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you so much Elder Alexander for sharing this sweet pure simple truth a testimony of Jesus Christ and His Church, the one and only true Restored Church of Jesus Christ of latter day Saints, always pray 🙏 and pray with you, feel your love for the Lord's Kingdom here on earth 🌎, The Church of Jesus Christ of latter day Saints, Love you Brother Alexander, I'm a converted member from the LMS Church from Samoa 🇼🇸 ❤️ your Pure Humble testimony, the Restoration and continuous restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the foundation of Apostles and Prophets and Jesus Christ the corner stone, He was, He is and will continue leading His own church, through His living Prophet on earth ,continues until He comes again, Thank you Jesus Christ for Elder David Alexander and all even technology to support missionary work all over the world 🌎 in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amene
David I love listening to you every time you bears your testimony about your true conversation to the only true church of Jesus Christ here on earth yes we are the only church that has the direct authority from God to act in his name , no other church has that authority you are doing a great job by keep on sharing the truth to the world I pray for you just like i always praying for our prophets and our apostles and leaders of the church of Jesus Christ worldwide thank you for sharing us your testimony about the true fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints ❤😊 you.
Thank you so much (again), Brother David! So wonderful that you are "shouting" your testimony from the rooftops. Everyone in and out of the church needs to hear your incredible story and your reaction to finally realizing the truth. Please don't stop proclaiming our Savior's truth and where to find it. Amazing! ...The Goodman's in Provo
David, after 63 years of membership, served a mission, served in so many different positions in the church and heard so many testimonies, this is one of the finest most powerful testimonies I have ever heard! Thank you! Such a beautiful presentation, well done! You treat your testimony like the Pearl of Great Price, it's beautiful! Just shared with my family. You will help so many searching for the right way, keep it up! God bless you brother!
Thank you for your beautiful testimony. Your conversion (as are all conversions) is a true miracle. And, our God is a God of miracles. So glad you are with us!
Love you David you are doing a great job thank you for sharing your honest heart testimony your true conversion story to the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints love hearing your words ❤❤😊
"Speak and act for the God of Heaven", that's our great commission, ye saints. Look for me in Bountiful tomorrow to get a "Talk to God Now" hat that lets others know that you have His power, now, and can share the full Gospel with all that ask.
The probability of each missionary in that room serving a celestial-quality mission has now multiplied fourfold, twentyfold, and even one hundredfold after listening to David Alexander! Keep on keeping David!
David, as you said, The Lord allowed you to have such a life and conversion to His Church that carries His Name, so that you may help thousands that are still in darkness.
Are you in Utah now ? Doing a fireside there ? Thank you for such beautiful testimonies . They are always from your heart and strengthen others . So happy for you finding the true restored gospel of Jesus Christ . And now you have priesthood authority to bless others . You keep on blessing others as you share your testimony . Unfortunately I’m not able to make it to Utah because I can’t get anyone to go with me yet . I hope your first picnic went well . And the same for Saturday . Maybe I can meet you another time . The picnic sounded fun and to hear and share testimonies . Thank you for all you do to help build up the kingdom and gather Israel . And keep sharing your wonderful testimony . I think at times we as long life members can take it for granite . Yet we each have to be converted to the gospel too and know of a surety of its truths . Which I do and be all in . I’m so thankful for the restored truths knowing I am a child of God a covenant daughter and a disciple of Christ . Knowing about our Premortal life is what I love the most .
The Lord did not intend the Bible to be the foundation of his Church... After all, for centuries, many could not even read! (David Alexander) What a wise and insightful conclusion!😊
Wow, that is such a Beautiful Story and Testimony. I have zero doubt that this is the one true Church. I love the leadership of this Church and it feels my heart that they also know that this Church is true and the work to save souls and bring God's children back home to live with Him again is the most important thing they can possibly do upon the face of this Earth. Thank You David for who you are and for the Light of the Gospel you bring to People.
Bless you my Brother!!! So can’t wait for 7 more months when you go to the temple!!! It will be amazing…oh to be a fly on the wall in that Endowment room.
😂 hello David, this is happy camper Don and I’ve been with you since you started doing your videos. I call you the real deal David and I still think you are the real deal. I never miss your videos. I think you’re 3:56 right on.❤ please keep them coming.
If we each let our light shine...such as it is... tiny as it may be... when added upon and connected to each other...it can dispell the darkness. We must stand in Holy places, shoulder to shoulder, keeping each other's back until the end which is coming soon I pray. In my mind's eye I see each Temple that dots the Earth shining like a beacon or lighthouse if you will. Each beacon shining and connecting to the others all around the Earth until there is a grid work of light covering the Earth. I like to think how Lucifer must find it blinding. All that LIGHT. All that LOVE. Must be unbearable. He knows his time is almost up. Spoiler Alert ... GOD wins!!! 🎉
David, I hope you see this comment. I listen to your songs and I was thinking you might really enjoy some of the children’s primary songs. Some of them are very powerful in their simplicity. This Primary song is called “I Lived in Heaven,” and there is a beautiful rendition of it on UA-cam, sung by the Tabernacle Choir. I thought of your experience and testimony as I sung the words to myself today. “I lived in Heaven a long time ago - it is true. Lived there and lived there with people I know - so do you. Then Heavenly Father presented a beautiful plan All about earth and eternal salvation for man. (Here, I started thinking about what someone else outside our church might think about this song, and how they would disagree.) Father said He needed someone who had enough love To give his life so we all could return there above. There was another who sought for the honor Divine. Jesus said ‘Father, send Me, and the glory be Thine.’ (As I sang this verse, I was reminded of you and your testimony, specifically when you say “it’s the most glorious and beautiful thing on earth!” And I thought, “YES! IT IS!”) Jesus was chosen and as the Messiah, He came. Conquering evil and death through His glorious Name. Giving us hope of a wonderful life yet to be, home in that Heaven where Father is waiting for me.” I wonder if you would consider adding this song to your repertoire. :) Thanks for reading, David.
What a powerful testimony we should all be so blessed to have heard David speak. When he introduced him self let's all say hi to David when he said hello to us we don't do it enough if a speaker says good morning let's all say good morning it's polite anyway I loved his talk it brought tears to my eyes I so felt the spirit❤❤❤x
Ive read that conversion story of The Professor of Munich University in one of Efy books compilation of faith promoting lds stories...thank you for sharing it David.
David, I am motivated by your testimony and your ministry! I am a lifelong member of the church and you inspire me! I just watched this video and lived it but I need to offer some advice. I used to work with audio visual in church buildings and want to pass on to you to point the podium microphone towards your chin and not your mouth. That will remove the audio distortion from the microphone. Best wishes!
Very excited to see you in Bountiful tomorrow. Safe travels. Anyone is welcome. There will be some extra food if it is too short notice for you. The address and times are on David's channel under potluck details.
A man posted a comment yesterday....that started out something like, "David you are a nice man, the Church needs more like you....and then he went on to speak of what a zealous Saint he was...till he lost his faith due to a list of "Facts" about a number of secondary issues...and said he can't come back until those "facts" are refuted somehow. I was quite taken with his list of things...stuff like the polygamy, of course...but also stuff like Joseph Smith applying for Copyright on the Book of Mormon, listing himself as the author, etc.
I was trying to cut and paste his comment to SAVE it...and accidentally deleted it instead somehow. I would really like to respond to this gentleman....If you are OUT THERE, please resend your comment or recreate it and send it to me at davidmalvinalexander@gmail.com
I would really like to give you an honest answer to the list of things you posted. Much love, David
Wow. Thank you for sharing.
I could never be persuaded to join another church that tears down the faith of others.
You follow the "Spirit of Christ" which you were born with and the prompting of the "Holy Spirit" ;and therefore you will be led to all truth! David????????
Bro. David,
Very powerful testimony!! ❤❤

My wife and I loved attending this beautiful Fireside presentation last night. Thank you David for your 47 years of patience. It's clear to everyone that the lord saved you for our day.
Was this fireside in Utah ?
Are there any other fireside’s in Utah coming up ? Would love to go
@@rachelmatautia7093There’s a video a while back about the potluck/testimony meetings he’ll be hosting in Utah. He’ll be in Bountiful tomorrow!

Thank you for reminding me how I felt when i just joined the church ❤🙏
Keep going forward on the straight and narrow ❤
Our family loved being at the fireside and hearing what's in your heart. So much truth, unspeakable joy!! I never tire of hearing it
A privilege to meet you and feel your heartfelt joy in finding the fullness of His Gospel through those sweet sister missionaries.
" pull out your sword and start swinging it. I love that
David, I absolutely love your testimony. Hearing your sweet testimony has brought tears of joy from the Holy Ghost confirming the truth of your testimony. Welcome home my brother In Christ, we love you.
Thank you for reminding us of the precious gift we have in the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Lord has had his eyes on you for many many years and has chosen this time to bring you into the gospel at this very time before the shortness of his coming when many hearts are failing that you are strengthening as well as finding and
bringing in his other sheep
The power and authority to act in his name is powerful.
Wonderful! Wonderful! I pray May it be so.
This is one of the greatest testimonies I may have ever heard, I love his emphasis on what we have in the restored gospel. Do we know what we have? I pray that we remember always
You are truly doing the Lord’s work. He has been preparing you all of your life to do the work you are doing. Thank you!
Brother Alexander, I saw your first videos and I see you now and want you to know your light is growing brighter and more refined. You are a miracle in Gods hands and an inspiration to me. Don’t stop and stay humble. Your brother and friend Brian
Thanks again for your testimony!!!
IT NEVER GETS OLD, ONLY BETTER!
Amen! As a fairly recent convert myself, I have the same sentiment. Lifelong members often don't comprehend yet what they have, and have had, their whole lives.
Life long member here. I have ancestors on my Mom 's side who accepted the restored gospel before the church was officially organized. My Dad's side was Catholic mobs and nuns...lol
I am very grateful for my ancestors but I always like to remind myself that I have to work out my own salvation.
I can't imagine going my whole life without the gift of the Holy Ghost. I have made very poor choices even with that. The fullness of the gospel is the only thing that softens my hard, stubborn heart.
As a lifetime member I agree. I have/do take for granted having a prophet and apostles leading the church.
It’s human nature.
Thank you for sharing this testimony. It has strengthened me.
Great talk David. It was great to meet you on Saturday!
I am filled with joy to hear your testimony 🙏
Whoops, looks like my link was not good, here is the information. (As written by LDS Missionary Scott Anderson in his journal.)
We had an unexpected moment in the mission field. We knocked on a door and a lady said something to us we had never heard, 'Come in.' Now remember, I was a German missionary. This never happened to us; no one ever invited us in. My companion said, 'Do you know who we are?'
'You want to talk about religion, don't you?' she said.
What would you like to discuss?'
My inspired companion said we'd like to talk about the Book of Mormon.
She said, 'I don't know anything about the Book of Mormon.'
He said, 'I know.'
Twenty minutes later we walked out of the room. Widtsoe and 22 other volumes of church doctrine.'
She then said something which I think is a challenge for every one of us here. And over these eight and one-half weeks I have been able to feast in a way I have never known to be possible.'
Her powerful message and her challenging question were then ended with her favorite scripture, 'For you don't see the truth can make you free.' She said, 'these missionaries don't just carry membership in the church in their hands, they hold in their hands the power to make the atonement of Jesus Christ full force in my life. Today I'm going into the water and I'm going to make a covenant with Christ for the first time with proper authority. I've wanted to do this all my life.'
None of us will forget the day that she was baptized. When she got finished being baptized, she got back out and before she received the Holy Ghost, she stood and said, 'Now I would like to talk about the Holy Ghost for a while.' She then gave us a wonderful talk about the gift of the Holy Ghost.
(Later in Elder Anderson's journal)
Two young missionaries, both relatively new, (one had been out about five months, the other three weeks) accidentally knocked on the door of the seminary in Reagansburg.
The mission president called us and said, 'Do you think that dear lady that you have just brought into the church would like to come help these two missionaries with this assignment?' I called her to explain what was to happen, and she said, 'more than I would like to eat, more than I would like to sleep, more than . . . '
I said, 'Fine, you don't have to explain.'
We drove her to the seminary and as we went in, she grabbed the two missionaries that had originally been invited, put her arms around them and said, 'you are wonderful, young men. Would each of you spend about two minutes bearing your testimony and then sit down and be quiet please?'
They were grateful for their assignment. I know that is hard for you to believe that they could be two separate beings, but I know they are.'
*She shared scriptures that showed that they were and then said, 'I would like to talk about historical restoration of truth.' She then, point by point, dates by date, from the Doctrine and Covenants put back the organizational structure of Christ's church.
They said, 'to hear someone so unashamed of the truth, to hear someone teaching with such power, to hear someone who finally has conviction.'
The truth is what can set us free . . .
Do we really know what we have? _
Brilliant! Thanks for posting. I intend to copy it out.
And it has also my experience that links don't stay when I post or comment. When the little devil algorithms get busy they find those links and destroy them.
Mind blowing story! ❤
Thank you for your testimony. You just pour gas on my dying flame. I love listening to your testimony
Wow, I love hearing your testimony. So powerful and stirring. It's so awesome that you are now able to speak as one having power and authority from God.
It makes me think of Numbers 11:29 when Moses says, "would God that all the Lord’s people were prophets, and that the Lord would put his spirit upon them!"
The Lord has definitely put his spirit upon you and you are doing a great work.
No matter how many times I hear you testimony, it brings my to tears. Thank God you found us Dee
We look forward to:
The Return of
THE KING of Kings !!
Every time I've heard your beautiful and powerful testimony, tears have filled my eyes. What a wonderful fireside! Wish I could have been there but am so thankful for this video! God bless you, brother David!
Absolutely wonderful … well done good and faithful servant of Our Lord Jesus Christ … Amen and Amen
Every time I hear your testimony David I learn something new 🥰
I’m grateful to have heard your testimony! Thank you!
David,
Have you ever considered that maybe you’re mission on this earth was to testify the truth of this beautiful gospel to the world? That your testimony, insight and deep conviction have come from your long long heart wrenching and frustrating search. That you have been reserved to share your profound testimony because your long difficult and seemingly fruitless search has in reality now brought not only you to the truth but potentially countless others.
Your journey has not been fruitless, on the contrary the fruits will be felt by countless others because of your story.
Thank you David for sharing with such conviction and with all your heart to all the world
this glorious truth.
Those who we're converted
of the gospel of jesus christ and became one faith ,one baptism and one lord wére chosen people of the Lord

Thank you David! You always make my spirt fill with joy😁❤️
Oh to have command of the scriptures as you do! Thank you for sharing!!!
Thank you, for posting this on you tube so we can all hear it. Thank you, for your sprit and your excitement for the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Finally someone who understands the message
Thank you for your beautiful testimony. Your conversion (as are all conversions) is a true miracle. And, our God is a God of miracles. So glad you are with us!
What an amazing testimony!
David, talking about the first presidency they are quite literally “ONE” Oakes Nelson Eyring . 😊
Love this!
Yes!
As always so awesome Brother David! 😭😭😭
David Alexander is awesome :) - One of my favorite new you tube channels is his.
Love you David you are doing a great job thank you for sharing your honest heart testimony your true conversion story to the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints love hearing your words ❤❤😊
Yes!!🙏🕊️🌟, Very well said
Thanks for your witness brother David.
I'm so grateful you have found the restored church of Jesus Christ and l am grateful everything l hear your testimony. Thank you Brother Alexander!!!
This is your time to shine David. I love what you're doing❣
(David Alexander)
What a wise and insightful conclusion!😊
Wow, that is such a Beautiful Story and Testimony. I have zero doubt that this is the one true Church. I love the leadership of this Church and it feels my heart that they also know that this Church is true and the work to save souls and bring God's children back home to live with Him again is the most important thing they can possibly do upon the face of this Earth. Thank You David for who you are and for the Light of the Gospel you bring to People.
Thank you for visiting our stake. Such an amazing testimony, thank you for taking the time to share it with us.
Your wisdom beams even brighter than the life long member because of what you didn't have for so long. I feel the Lord's love for you so strongly. ❤
Bless you my Brother!!!
So can’t wait for 7 more months when you go to the temple!!!
It will be amazing…oh to be a fly on the wall in that Endowment room.
I was just thinking the same.
Touching hearing. David 's story ... AGAIN
😂 hello David, this is happy camper Don and I’ve been with you since you started doing your videos. I call you the real deal David and I still think you are the real deal. I never miss your videos. I think you’re 3:56 right on.❤ please keep them coming.
THANK YOU, Thank you! Keep talking to we life long members who, you are correct, do not know what we have!
GOD wins!!! 🎉
Thank you. I love that analogy! 😊❤

Then Heavenly Father presented a beautiful plan
All about earth and eternal salvation for man.
(Here, I started thinking about what someone else outside our church might think about this song, and how they would disagree.)
Father said He needed someone who had enough love
To give his life so we all could return there above.
There was another who sought for the honor Divine.
Jesus said ‘Father, send Me, and the glory be Thine.’
(As I sang this verse, I was reminded of you and your testimony, specifically when you say “it’s the most glorious and beautiful thing on earth!” And I thought, “YES! IT IS!”)
Jesus was chosen and as the Messiah, He came.
Conquering evil and death through His glorious Name.
Giving us hope of a wonderful life yet to be,
home in that Heaven where Father is waiting for me.”
I wonder if you would consider adding this song to your repertoire. :) Thanks for reading, David.
correction, 2nd line of the song: “Lived there and loved there with people I know - so *did* you.”
I always enjoy your testimony it's strengthening may the lord bless you.
David….thank you for your inspirational talk.
That was awesome! ❤ 🙏
A powerful testimony.

Thank you! 🙏🏻💗
Amen, Brother! 🎉
Thank you, As usual TOP NOTCH.
Love your testimony, and Love you Brother Alexander! If you ever come to St. George Utah....please send a note.
Amen! What a wonderful testimony!
Thank you!
Just wait til he starts quoting the Book of Mormon and Doctrine & Covenants. He knows his Bible, it's time to start Book of Mormon
AMEN
A+
