Regarding AquaPazza....all of the characters come from various AquaPlus titles. (Kinda like Smash.) 95% of which never came out of Japan (and visual novels, no less), which is why you probably didn't get the story.

For what's worth, the engine and gameplay from Gundam W Endless Duel was used to make another SNES fighting game, "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers: The Fighting Edition", it's also pretty fun.

The Ranma game played is called Ranma ½: Chougi Rambuhen (Super-Skill Wild Dance Chapter). Based around the manga created by Rumiko Takahashi in 1987, which lead to an anime series in '89.
+Game Sack Dave the series is on Hulu right now. It is quite funny. The "this is hulk hogan" guy is named Ryoga and turns into a little piglet when doused with cold water.
1) Princess Sissy is an SNK boss... Of course, she's cheap :P 2) That Gundam fighting game *sounded* familiar to me, but Sunrise also made Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Fighting Edition too ;) 3) Capcom Fighting Evolution was awful... it was basically a MUGEN, not to mention that each series had its respective mecanics, which some are more powerful than other. Furthermore, Capcom had Star Gladiator, Power Stone, Final Fight, Captain Commando, Cyberbots, name it... I'd like a sequel TBH, but with a better selection. 4) Joe, I'll give it to you, more stages in SFIV would have been nice. However, what fans truly wanted is more themes, as SFIV had only a few character themes (basically the character stage themes in previous games). Capcom delivered greatly, as USFIV has the best fighting game soundtrack I've heard so far. Also, Ultra salvaged a lot of stuff from Street Fightr x Tekken, such as the stages and characters, not to mention that Super SFIV was around $40, with both Arcade Edition and Ultra at $15 digitally, as in "you download them as an upgrade". The only major problem I have with Ultra is their latest character, Decapre... - *She was overhyped as all Hell*; Capcom announced that there would be a new female character who had a bigger role in the UDON comic books. - *She's basically a Cammy clone*; Yes, Decapre WAS supposed to be the original Killer Bee and Cammy WAS genetically created using Decapre's DNA, hence the resemblance, but that should have been a point to make her the same character. Aside from her heavy attacks, most specials, her super and ultras, everything is recycled from Cammy... even including her idle pose. - *She's supposed to have her own unique fighting style*; She fights with a pair of daggers in her gauntlets... but fights like Cammy instead of fighting like Wolverine or X-23 from UMvC3. - *Capcom made her on a budget*; This explains why her model and animation are the same as Cammy.... - *The reaction to her reveal was lukewarm*; Oh boy, you should have seen the fans' reaction, they were dumbfounded HARD. - *Capcom trolled everyone with a boring character*; People wanted to see Karin or Rainbow Mika, and before the "female hint" was dropped, people wanted Alex, Urien and even Retsu from SF1. Considering that there isn't much to build from using the Dolls, not many people wanted them in the game. Juni and Juli were essentially Cammy clones as well, but even in Alpha, that was a cheap move... USFIV is a great game, but good grief did they blow that surprise up big time...
- You can play as Sissy in Bonnouji and Matsuri Senzo, she's nowhere as cheap as she was in Matri. For starters, Abobo's been turned into a L1 Super and the transformation gun's been turned into a L2 Super. Also, her sword-in-a-box still has priority but is punishable. - There is a Gundam Seed fighting game done in the same style as Gundam Wing VS SNES, it was for the GBA. - CFE's main problem is that they seem to have rushed a half finished game when most other VS games released by Capcom are so damn professionally done. If they had at least done CvS and allowed you to custom groove characters it might have been decent - but no, the glaring flaw was characters being stuck to their own game's combat systems. Expectations at the time were too high for Capcom to release such a game safely. It's telling that SNK vs Capcom also suffered from this expectation effect AND came out better than CFE.
+MrJechgo Decapre plays NOTHING like Cammy. Cammy plays rushdown wheras Decapre plays more mixup. I will not deny that she was a bad character reveal but she was something different.
+blackconvoy I get that she doesn't play the same, but come on, she has 90% of Cammy's moveset: - same idle pose (really, THAT part was lazy work) - same Light and Medium punches and kicks (standing, crouching and jumping) - same throws - same movement animations - same Spiral Arrow, except being a charge move that ONLY works in mid-air (yeah, very practical ¬_¬; ) - same Cannon Strike, except it's a follow-up to another move - same model, but with a different texture (seriously, that could have passed as a costume FOR Cammy) Yes, she's a charge character, but even THAT isn't much of a difference. Look, Decapre as a character could work, but good grief, they should have scrapped her animations and started from scratch. You wanna reveal a NEW character that NO ONE has seen? You want to get the same reaction as you did for C.Viper, Rufus, Abel, El Fuerte, Gouken, Seth, Juri and Hakan? Fine... do it the right way, and Capcom did not... Gouken, for instance, is radically different from any Shoto, despire having the Hadoken and Tatsumaki Senpiukkaku. Decapre lacks that radical difference. That's like praising Sakurai for adding Lucina and Dark Pit, even if they don't play "like" Marth or Pit, they are like 99% the same AS Marth or Pit. Dude, Roy got more different than Lucina.
"Aquapazza" was one of the few fighting games I actually tried to get good at. Being a crossover game, I was mostly interested in it due to the "Tears to Tiara" and "Utawarerumono" characters. Didn't much care about the "To-Hearts 2" cast...despite them taking up a huge chunk of the cast. Ultimately, I ended up giving up on it since I just couldn't keep up with the ever increasing skill requirement online. I was doing fairly well at first since there were a lot of new players but after a while, only the experts were around and I just wasn't good enough. I'm hoping that "Nitroplus Blasterz:, coming out in around a month in Western regions for the PS4, fairs better for me. It's another crossover fighting game so of course that's part of where my appeal in it is coming from.
Don't if you guys already have, but have you checked out the Blazblue or Persona Arena Games? Yeah, they're pretty new, but their still really good 2D fighters!
I also never watched the Gundam anime, but "Gundam: Battle Assault 2" for the "PS1" was and is today my favourite fighting game. So many fighters to choose and so many to unlock. The controlls are here and there a bit clunky, but you feel that you are steering a robot-suit.
Ranma 1/2 is one of the, like, 5 anime that I actually have affection for. It's really very funny. Largely because it has it's own sense of humor and it's own style of jokes which tend to become funnier the longer the series goes on. Kuno, the guy with the sword, for example, is such a funny character that I laugh every time I see him.
+DenMon 2019 ugh, DBZ before PS1 was rather abyssmal, and that's coming from a fighting game/DBZ fan. Budokai is where the series started getting on the right track, if you like DBZ before Budokai that's how you feel about it, i just couldnt stand them, always felt sluggish.
+The Gaming Paladin I have to disagree, Budokai games are fun but the Butouden series/Hyper Dimension (all on SFC) & Ultimate 22 (you said before PS1 then said before Budokai so.. I`m not sure which you mean..) is not too sluggish!
Steelball Jack they werent awful, they just werent for me i guess, now Budokai 3 was where i couldnt put the game down, i loved leveling up the characters and customizing them.
When you compare CFE to SNK's similar effort from around the same time, Neo Geo Battle Coliseum, it's like night and day. I'd have loved CFE to have been just a decent game, but it felt so quickly cobbled together. NGBC by comparison had tons of charm to it. Which, yeah, definitely cover Neo Geo Battle Coliseum if you haven't already.
Capcom Fighting Evolution is some of the laziest garbage Capcom has ever farted out and called an original game... backgorunds are blurry and not well animated, game balance is all over the place due to the varying animation style, systems, and the way characters interact with one another. the lack of roster size is disappointing, and the fact that almost all assets are recycled just makes this even more disappointing.
+Game Sack I dunno if I'd call that a spinoff. All of the mechanics and characters were there. I'd say it's a legit sequel, that everyone would rather forget because it was lackluster. (I liked it)
Damon Hopkins If it's a sequel then it would have been called Street Fighter 3. See my other comment which should be near the top. This of course has no bearing on if the game is good or not (I don't think I've even played it yet).
I thought you guys did but couldn't recall the name. I can't think of another good fighter you haven't covered. Maybe it's time for another BAD fighter video.
thank you so much for the mostly thorough review of gundam wing endless duel, this game means a lot to me so i thought i'd add to some mechanics that weren't mentioned: Every character can shield boost dash and shield boost retreat which adds another depth layer to the regular double tap dash and retreat by pressing the super jump input with the directional input being left or right instead of neutral/up, since it moves you while defending from high attacks but you can be hit from low attacks, although the shield boost retreat does a little hop so low attacks get blocked, but you can get grabbed while doing shield boosts regardless. Also to add to the double super jump, every character can glide if you just do 1 super jump and hold the down arrow (the tallgesse AI likes to do this a lot). And regarding to the super jump, the screen actually scrolls vertically, a thing that iirc hadn't been done yet on a fighting game, this game also allowed blocking while on the air, something that most other fighting games decided against, this makes jumps a safer and more confident move, making fighting more varied instead of the usual ground footsie-fests where jumping is a liability, and you could hit an opponent that was downed, extending combos and doing more damage, although reduced damage, which iirc also had been decided against in most fighting games and something you'd never see today. The reason as to why the game doesn't lag is not because of the lack of background movement (there is some albeit minimal, you can see flickering fires at heavyarms' and deathscythe's, and a scroll to the latter, heat wave at sandrock's, the aurora flickers in tallgesse's, lights flicker too at mercurius' and vayeate's, and the scroll and lightning at epyon's) it is because every sprite is comprised of smaller sprites instead of one big sprite, you can notice this if you check the standing animation for each mech, you can see it is divided into 3 parts, the waist and above part, the legs, and feet, although for most other positions the mech is divided into only 2 sprites, but this does wonders resource-wise. The special meter also goes up when you block attacks not only when landing them and you can pull-off special moves that don't use the meter by doing the directional input but using the weak weapon/melee button instead of the strong one this in turn makes the special move overall weaker but at no meter cost
Hi Game Sack, it's the guy who gave you the amiibo's at PRGE xD! I was hoping you could add Wu-Tang: Shaolin Style for the PS1, on your next Fighting Games. That would be freaking hilarious.Love you guys.
Dave, the character you liked in the Ranma game is named Ryoga, he's a doofus and is always getting lost because he has a horrible sense of direction, but still a lovable character.
Things I wish to see in game sack: a "game gear" episode (it could be divided by genders like "platform games in game gear" espisode and so on. A "survival horror games" episode (it could be divided by sagas like a "resident evil" episode and so on). A "western rpgs" episode would be awesome, too. Also, you could make episodes about a specific super heroe like Batman games, Superman games, etc. Star Wars games would be awesome, too. These are just humble suggestions. Thank you so much for the show.
I was surprised I didn’t see Primal Rage, Street Smart or Pit Fighter in your fighting games series. I couldn’t believe you did Fighting Masters on Genesis in your 16-bit fighting games video. I completely forgot about that game, I owned it and played the hell outta it back in the day!
The best part of vanilla SFIV is INDESTRUCTIBLE. Aquapazza is comprised of chars from multiple media, mostly visual novels from Aquaplus. Assist meter, actually depends on the assist. The Idol assists for example take a really long time to recharge. Also nothing wrong with all female cast fighters. Ayy go play Arcana Heart 3 Love MAX!!!!! (5 exclamation points are important) or import Shin Koihime Musou: Otome Taisen Sangokushi Engi both for PS3. Good all female cast fighters.
i would of thought this months episode would of been GAMES WE GOT AT CHRISTMAS...but not just this year or anything like that but all the games you guys got in the past as kids as christmas gifts :)
Hey gamesack i recommend you guys to check the Tekken games, Street Fighter X Tekken, Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3 (PS2 Version), Inuyasha Feudal Combat, Def Jam Fight For NY, Mortal Kombat Deception, Urban Reign & Capcom Vs. SNK 2
My one and only arcade cabinet is Martial Champion so it's cool as crap seeing someone actually mention it in any way! Also that's easily my favorite Dave shirt
So happy that you guys covered Gundam Wing Endless Duel. I used to play that all the time as a kid on my emulator. You can find a translation out there somewhere.
I'd love to see you guys do an episode or two entirely devoted to 3D 32-bit/64-Bit Fighting Games. There are so many amazing ones, obscure and popular, on the Saturn, Playstation and Nintendo 64. There's enough gold in there to cover at least two or three episodes. Big ups to everyone who mentioned Evil Zone - a bizarre, but utterly brilliant title. Some other interesting ones to cover would be the Tobal series, the Zero Divide games, D-Xhird and the kooky Toshinden games (though, I can't remember if you've covered Toshinden before... I think you have, but correct me if I'm wrong) , and so much more. Fighters from that era need more love - I'd love to see Game Sack cover more from that generation. Brilliant episode, as usual :)
How about one with Game Sack favorites, games you guys enjoy despite being unpopular with many gamers. As always good job, and keep the Sack going strong.
Still think you guys to check out Evil Zone on the PS1. The story is interesting structured as a 70s/80s Anime Series with Next Time and Last Time bumpers. The combat is single attack button mixed with directional pad.
+Game Sack I'll second the idea of Evil Zone, though when I played it, I had the original Japanese version Eretzvaju (Full Japanese Title: 封神領域エルツヴァーユ) which had all of the music intact. Naturally I prefer that version.
Well Joe/Dave, i have a theory on home ports of arcade fighters. With as obviously inferior as they had to be, i believe these were meant to be full priced ads for the arcade cabinets. "Yeah, this sucks. but you know what doesnt suck? The original machine IN AN ARCADE NEAR YOU NOW!"
Since you guys are covering Fighting Games, I think you should revisit "Dave White Forever." That awesome fighting game with the pre-rendered sprites that came out just after "Batman Forever" on the SNES. I can lend you my copy if you don't have it.
Why do you guys not mention Aquapazza is a game that collects the heroes and heroines of various anime together in one game (A la Jump Superstars)? Offhand I notice Comic Party and Fate:Stay Night.
Gundam Wing Endless Duel was actually made from a US exclusive game, because they loved the engine so much: Mighty Morphin Power Rangers : the Fighting Edition
Chaos Code is a game where one of the characters is a chef who cooks his enemies in a wok...I don't know anything else about the game. I recommend checking out the Power Instinct series from Atlus (:
Next time you do a fighting games episode, you should do the always classic Dragon Ball GT: Final Bout. It's without a doubt, the greatest fighting game ever made, and it's incredibly deep, and amazing, and it even cured cancer.
Suggestions that almost nobody has heard of: Eternal Fighter Zero; Touhou series: 7.5 - Immaterial and Missing Power, 10.5 - Scarlet Weather Rhapsody, 14.5 - Urban Legend in Limbo; and (the one fighting game that I cannot beat for the life of me) Super Cosplay Wars Ultra. For the fun of it, review Street Fighter II Rainbow Edition. :D
You guys MUST cover "Def Jam: Fight for New York" (PS2/ XBOX). Once you learn the mechanics of that game, you realize just how amazing it is! Especially when you successfully pull off a special move which you execute using one of four directions on the right thumbstick. The game is best played with 2 or more players. As an avid Street Fighter fan, I strongly recommend this fighter because of how different it is from other fighters and it being a brilliant and balanced game! Great episode as usual!!!
14:04 I was a fan of Ranma, since 1989, when my penpal used to send me VHS tapes of the episodes... I was 11 years old in 1989. The attack is called *"獅子咆哮弾"* Which is Romanized to _"Shi-Shi Hou-Kou-Dan"_ (pronounced "Shee-Shee Ho'o Ko'o Dän"), which is the Japanese phonetic of the Chinese (Romanized) Jíè-Xié HwóGuò Deng" which both means, *_"Lion Cub Roaring Bullet"_*
Dave, the "guy in yellow shirt" is Ryoga and he's my favourite character in the Ranma universe. And his move is called "Shishi hokodan", but the hulkster version sounds much more powerful. :D P.s. Joe, you forgot to mention the Arcade Edition of SF4, but I believe you skipped it the same way you did with SSF4.
I love the amount of Japanese consoles that get promoted here and I think that's why this has turned into one of my favorite channels. Hopefully you can get more into Japanese 360 and PS3 fighters next. I'm talking about Japan only not Japanese developers.
Street Fighter's boss, Seth, was named after Seth Killian. He's a Street Fighter player who was so good that he went on to work at Capcom and now is developing his own fighting game.
Hey hey! I'm the guy who sent in Ranma 1/2!
Thanks for the shout out Dave, I appreciate that, and I'm really happy to hear you enjoyed the game!
OMG YES!! Gundam Wing Endless Duel!!! I LOVE this game, it's one of my favourite fighting games ^^
I've recommended it a few times on this channel and I'm very glad to see it here!
I am a simple man, I see Game Sack I press like.
+GameBoyLegacy Do you have nothing better to do than to go correct everybody's grammar and punctuation on here?

+Game Sack Speaking of EX, can you do the EX series? one of my favorite street fighter games.
+Game Sack Not new topic? Is that you? Or I'm dreamin'?)
+Nightshade ! Yeah we definitely should. I don't have it though. Maybe Dave does.
Nightshade ! EX3 is shit. Best is 2+
I guess its nostalgia. My 1st street fighter that I enjoyed playing. i loved the trials so much in that game. It taught me how to play fighting games well. And the music is fantastic.

Lol, too true. That seems so long ago now...
My Sack arrived Christmas Eve.

"THIS IS HULK HOGAN!" thanks Dave, I have officially shit and pissed myself in laughter.
Dave is hilarious 😂😂😂
Would love to see a Fighting Games 4 done for this channel! Great work Game Sack!
I'm still waiting to see Evilzone (Eretzvaju in Japan), Rival Schools, and Project Justice.
+Jonathan Domenech Heck yeah Evil Zone. I loved that game.
It had some awesome music too.
+Jonathan Domenech Eretzvaju is awesome. My favorite character is the Metal Hero character who reminds me of Shaider, Gavan , and Sharivan!
I believe you are thinking of Danzaiver.
Yes that one!
Mad props to you guys for the Grandia music. Very touching.
"This looks stupid!" She delivered that line so well.
+Derek Morrison leave it to a girl to say that about an awesome fighting game like Primal Rage so convincingly.
Thanks, I try.
+The Gaming Paladin had nothing to do with me being a girl. It looks stupid. I enjoy violence and fighting. My favorite movies are Kill Bill and the Batman Trilogy.
jepanicproductions well i stand corrected.
GamerMikko that and name one other fighting game that allows you to take a whiz on your opponent.
Project Justice: Rival Schools 2 for DC is probably my favourite fighting game.
We need more of that series honestly
That Gundam game looks great! And I'm glad to know that it plays well too. Will try it
Also: loved the mention of the Saturn usb pad. The world needs more Saturn pads.
I stay up late every Saturday night to watch The Sack!

"This looks stupid" LOL! Seriously though, why not let her do a review or two?
I wish I could!
You guys should a special wife edition of Game Sack where Jen and Dave's wife talk about some of their favorite games. That would be awesome!
Well Dave, if you are interested in crossover fighters, you should try MUGEN.
Some games you guys should definitely look on the next episodes:
* Advanced V.G. 2 (PSX)
* Asura Buster (Arcade)
* Breakers (Neo Geo)
* JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (Arcade, PSX, Dreamcast)
* Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers: The Fighting Edition (SNES)
* Neo Geo Battle Coliseum (Arcade, PS2, Xbox 360)
* Project Justice (Dreamcast)
* Slap Happy Rhythm Busters (PSX)
* Suiko Enbu Fuun Saiki (Saturn)

+MrJechgo Oh man, just mentioning Mugen made me remember Saltybet... I need to go waste another day over there at some point.
+MrJechgo Decapre plays NOTHING like Cammy. Cammy plays rushdown wheras Decapre plays more mixup. I will not deny that she was a bad character reveal but she was something different.
+blackconvoy I get that she doesn't play the same, but come on, she has 90% of Cammy's moveset:
- same idle pose (really, THAT part was lazy work)
- same Light and Medium punches and kicks (standing, crouching and jumping)
- same throws
- same movement animations
- same Spiral Arrow, except being a charge move that ONLY works in mid-air (yeah, very practical ¬_¬; )
- same Cannon Strike, except it's a follow-up to another move
- same model, but with a different texture (seriously, that could have passed as a costume FOR Cammy)
Yes, she's a charge character, but even THAT isn't much of a difference.
Yeah, they're pretty new, but their still really good 2D fighters!
p4a is kinda new but not blazblue, that shit came out 8 years ago
+Salokin Sekwah Do it while calling out Super Best Friends for being a group of pussies!
+IWillScoop The salt is already spreading. It's fantastic.
Oh I don't give a shit if they play it, I'm enjoying the spectacle.
+Salokin Sekwah Persona 4 Arena is good, but I know they will give the game hell for the Auto-Combo system.
I also never watched the Gundam anime, but "Gundam: Battle Assault 2" for the "PS1" was and is today my favourite fighting game.
So many fighters to choose and so many to unlock.
The controlls are here and there a bit clunky, but you feel that you are steering a robot-suit.
Gundam Battle Assault 2 please
Yesssss
+bunnyfreakz Oh hey, Big Zam!
+bunnyfreakz is that the one on ps1? I was just about to suggest that.
+bunnyfreakz That's even better than the Gundam game they reviewed I remember playing that game like crazy "burning finger!"
+Nester Sekiha Tenkyoken!
Ranma 1/2 is one of the, like, 5 anime that I actually have affection for. It's really very funny. Largely because it has it's own sense of humor and it's own style of jokes which tend to become funnier the longer the series goes on. Kuno, the guy with the sword, for example, is such a funny character that I laugh every time I see him.
man. I kinda wish they played the DBZ Fighting games
Steelball Jack not my cup of tea by far, and they felt sluggish to me, and Ultimate 22 with the voice clips were heavily grating on the ears.
The Gaming Paladin Understandable, but as a DBZ fan you have to admit that they were amazing games.
+ClexYoshi It is a bit of a disappointment. They could have and should have done so much more then what was released.
CFE totally feels like a lazy MUGEN compilation, what with characters from different games having clashing styles and different gameplay.
+Magma MK-II did you know that it is really a consolation prize due to another game being canceled? That is likely why it feels lazy.
SFIV you can get character themes instead of stage themes. You can also fight Akuma if you meet the requirements or Ryu and Ken's master.
Street Fighter EX had polygons. But that game kinda sucked.
Disagree.
Yeah that was more of a spinoff.
+Game Sack True and it was a damn good one!
+Game Sack I dunno if I'd call that a spinoff. All of the mechanics and characters were there. I'd say it's a legit sequel, that everyone would rather forget because it was lackluster. (I liked it)
Damon Hopkins
If it's a sequel then it would have been called Street Fighter 3. See my other comment which should be near the top. This of course has no bearing on if the game is good or not (I don't think I've even played it yet).
There was a Street Fighter-like game on the PS1. Puzzle fighter maybe? It was a hybrid puzzle/fighter with SF characters. Was a lot of fun!
+Horzzo Yep that is a great game. We've covered it already though.
I thought you guys did but couldn't recall the name. I can't think of another good fighter you haven't covered. Maybe it's time for another BAD fighter video.
Good call on adding Gundam Wing Endless Duel. That's probably the only good Gundam game on the Super Famicom in my opinion but what a good game it is!
What about Kidou Butoden G-Gundam?
thank you so much for the mostly thorough review of gundam wing endless duel, this game means a lot to me so i thought i'd add to some mechanics that weren't mentioned:
Every character can shield boost dash and shield boost retreat which adds another depth layer to the regular double tap dash and retreat by pressing the super jump input with the directional input being left or right instead of neutral/up, since it moves you while defending from high attacks but you can be hit from low attacks, although the shield boost retreat does a little hop so low attacks get blocked, but you can get grabbed while doing shield boosts regardless.
I completely forgot about that game, I owned it and played the hell outta it back in the day!
definitely worth staying up for!
I think Dave would love Ranma 1/2, it's comedy gold. I recommend the first 15 episodes, they're the best.
Two episodes idea:
1st - Games of 2015 you guys have played
2nd - Released games that you do recommend to play in 2016
i would of thought this months episode would of been GAMES WE GOT AT CHRISTMAS...but not just this year or anything like that but all the games you guys got in the past as kids as christmas gifts :)
Neat! Dave's stunt double got to make an appearance!
+Andrew Vrba Oh, hello to you too.
Glad you like playing as Ryoga in that Ranma 1/2 game. He's my fav.
We'll definitely have to remember to check that one out.
I have it and love it. Such a unique fighter.
+Game Sack I'll second the idea of Evil Zone, though when I played it, I had the original Japanese version Eretzvaju (Full Japanese Title: 封神領域エルツヴァーユ) which had all of the music intact. Naturally I prefer that version.
you guys are talking about animation in games and STILL havent played skull girls?!?
each fighter has over 900 frames of animation ALL HAND DRAWN
Well Joe/Dave, i have a theory on home ports of arcade fighters. With as obviously inferior as they had to be, i believe these were meant to be full priced ads for the arcade cabinets. "Yeah, this sucks. but you know what doesnt suck? The original machine IN AN ARCADE NEAR YOU NOW!"
The gundamn targeting indeed looks both cool and annoying at the same time.
Seth was named after a guy working for Capcom USA at the time, who was instrumental in getting the game made in the first place.
Rage of the dragon is so impossibly tough. The arcade computer can do the most brutal juggles. Great play and concept, but it’s so frustrating
yes! new freaking game sack, let's goooooooooooo
Since you guys are covering Fighting Games, I think you should revisit "Dave White Forever." That awesome fighting game with the pre-rendered sprites that came out just after "Batman Forever" on the SNES. I can lend you my copy if you don't have it.
for Capcom Fighting Evolution, there's also Shin Akuma as an unlockable fighter, and challenger for single play
Why do you guys not mention Aquapazza is a game that collects the heroes and heroines of various anime together in one game (A la Jump Superstars)? Offhand I notice Comic Party and Fate:Stay Night.
I stay up late to catch it when it comes out as well
my fav: Wu-Tang Shaolin Style / Taste the pain, Tekken 5, Def Jam Fight for NY, Urban Reign, Guilty Gear Ancient Core XX, Dragonball Budokai 3
Gundam Wing Endless Duel was actually made from a US exclusive game, because they loved the engine so much: Mighty Morphin Power Rangers : the Fighting Edition
+kainhighwind2 I love this Power Rangers game, I still play it from time to time.
Same here. Ninja Megazord is a blast to use.
Just as an FYI, that Japanese lounge music you talk about in Matrimelee is called "Enka" if you ever feel like looking for more.
"This guy is no match for my game sack" I picture Joe saying that with a monocle and top hat on.
Chaos Code is a game where one of the characters is a chef who cooks his enemies in a wok...I don't know anything else about the game. I recommend checking out the Power Instinct series from Atlus (:
Endless dual is a solid fighting game for experts, and novices.
Next time you do a fighting games episode, you should do the always classic Dragon Ball GT: Final Bout. It's without a doubt, the greatest fighting game ever made, and it's incredibly deep, and amazing, and it even cured cancer.
King of Fighters XI and NeoGeo Battle Coliseum. Those are my favorite SNK fighting games. KOF really benefited from platform change.
Absolutely wonderful episode as usual! Thanks for taking the time during the holidays to release something! Happy New Year!
+Caleb Riley Thanks and Happy New Year to you!!
I hope Santa was good to you guys. All the best
Idea for an episode: brawlers like Double Dragon, Final Fight, Dungeons & Dragons, The Punisher, Captain America, etc.
Awesome ending as always.
My favorite version of Primal Rage is on the Atari Jaguar, the tug of war vs mode is really fun.
14:04
I was a fan of Ranma, since 1989, when my penpal used to send me VHS tapes of the episodes...
Great game selections, guys!
Dave, the "guy in yellow shirt" is Ryoga and he's my favourite character in the Ranma universe. And his move is called "Shishi hokodan", but the hulkster version sounds much more powerful. :D
P.s. Joe, you forgot to mention the Arcade Edition of SF4, but I believe you skipped it the same way you did with SSF4.
Great video, saved my boredom since no one else really uploads at this hour.
I love the amount of Japanese consoles that get promoted here and I think that's why this has turned into one of my favorite channels. Hopefully you can get more into Japanese 360 and PS3 fighters next. I'm talking about Japan only not Japanese developers.
13:25 5 stages backs to back, which seems to have inspired stages in various Tekken games. Wow.
