I’m going to answer some questions that I keep seeing from my followers about napkins and decoupage. The biggie being, “Why are there dots on my napkin” I’ll answer that and a couple of other questions. Easy follow along instructions. Hello 😊 I've just begun exploring and thoroughly enjoying your videos. I've seen another creator using heat to apply napkins to wood and am curious if you use this method at all.
The various techniques you demonstrate for embellishing are beautiful.

Do you have a tutorial on how to fuse the wood varnish as adhesive? If not, how long, after applying the wood varnish as adhesive, can the napkin be applied?

Thank you! I’ll be applying on shells. Not sure if that makes a difference or not. I did a practice run last night (before seeing your reply) and it was all too wet and the napkin had trouble adhering and it tore in a few spots. I’ll watch this video and see what I may have done wrong 😅
Hang on, I have a video on shells. Sending you the link. I believe I used Multi surface lacquer as my decoupage medium, but any of the Polyvine varnishes work well. Did you use Polyvine or mod podge? Mod podge is super wet and will cause napkin tears, wrinkling and bubbles. I also used the dry method to decoupage. That works well for something that isn't flat. The Multi surface lacquer will protect against anything from peeling off your surface. I used Heavy duty wood varnish for a finish. It has a really nice shine. I'll leave you a link for those as well.
