Hi. Christine again. Enjoying yet another tutorial. Just another hint: scrapbook paper is very thick as you discovered. The trick is to use a spray bottle and spray it with water to get it more pliable before putting it on the surface of your choice. ❤❤ Also when using napkins to decoupage, I've found from experience that using your fingers or a sponge to pat the creases and wrinkles out usually tears the napkins, so I put a piece of plastic wrap between the napkin and the sponge. The plastic wrap doesn't stick to the napkin, leaving less chance for it to tear. I hope you don't mind my hints. Like I said, it's only from making mistake after mistake that I learned these things myself. 😃
Great tutorials as always and I love how you're never afraid to show us what not to do! The birds on the glass plate were my favorite today. To make scrapbook paper thinner and better for decoupage you can use packing tape on the back of the paper.
Of course because you're my girl, I love all the things, but the plates were my fave. I really need to use my forty elleventy stencils some day and do the raised thing. I always love that. Hope house hunting is going well! 👍
I loved all the things in this video 😃👏 Have you tried to use plastic wrap insted of a sponge? Our Upcycled life burns off the napkins meanwhile the mod podge is still wet and it goes faster and better then sanding it off when she does signs like you did 😊
Angela your little mistake on the checked house is not noticable, stop stressing. I for one am happy you point out your mistakes and tell us "don't do that" TFS. Love today's projects!
awesome video angela... but just one thing I would like to suggest you... switch off the tv before shooting, or else yt will give you a copyright strike 😁and the camera will also stop toggling focus between you and your tv
@@angelajonesdiy yaa... you never know whats coming with yt... i had seen videos taken down just because there was a tv behind them or they were listening to some radio show or music playing in the background in their cars and they got a strike
you have taught this 68 yr old grandmother that decoupage is easy
thank you❤❤❤😊😊

I have not tried the cling wrap but I’ve seen people do it. I’ve tried burning the edges but always end up with the edges looking a little charred

Next time you do something like the family sign, just use fire 🔥 it's so fast.
I’ve done that before but then the edges of my paper got that char look
