Rockford Fosgate Prime series R1000-1D. Rated at 1000W RMS @ 2-ohm. Will this budget amp do rated power?
Then we see if it will handle a 1.4-ohm load! :)

Great test! In my experience, Rockford amps do rated plus some. Many other amp manufacturers....not so much!

i have this amp pushing 2 Sundown SA-10 @2ohms, nice to see im getting the rated output. i wonder how much better it does with higher input voltage? you tested it at 12.8 under load, my car maintains 13.8 under load with this amp.

Will a Rockford Prime 500 handle a 1 ohm load?

Its not rated too,but when I get another one in I will put it on my dummy load and try it on a resistive 1-ohm load.
