Trying to transport Grindelwald like this thinking he won't escape was about as dumb as Fudge walking into Dumbledore's office and thinking he'll just 'escort' the greatest wizard of all time to Azkabhan.
Actually, when you think, Gellert was already free but he displayed loyalty to his follower trapped inside the airborne van. Riddle would never have shown such care to his followers.

@@fernando82471 I think it's both, honestly. Abernathy certainly thinks Grindelwald came back for him. And Grindelwald's ability to "win hearts and minds" is his defining trait. The movie is not as bad as people say it is. It just suffers from the same problem the DC franchise suffers from.
It should of taken the same approach as the harry potter series to lay-down the backstory of its main characters in play; rather than approaching it from the fantastic beasts pov.
It would of taken b/n 3-4 movies before we reached this point of the series and we would of had much more time to understand the motives and drives of the characters.
@@kayolcaetano9284 explain ur pov
@@fumuso I’m not going to go into detail, but the Fantastic Beasts series is not the exact same work as the Harry Potter series. Rowling even explained that it was not made just for kids and in the Harry Potter series there’s tonssssss of scenes that have parts similar, but are still entertaining. Yes movies/Hollywood always have scenes that aren’t totally realistic, but the whole point is to make the scene so exciting that people don’t notice and focus on what it could be. It’s not the real world it’s made up so why try to crap on a very cool scene when we all know that the entertainment industry has certain rules and standards and the point is to make scenes entertaining. Ofcourse the more realistic the better, but that’s not how movies work. I’ve always been against exactly parts that could be more realistic, but it’s a movie to entertain, so why go against it if we can’t do anything about it unless it really can be 100% realistic. As long as the scene is entertaining that’s all that matters because Hollywood, is Hollywood and that’s that. 🤷🏻♂️

If they are not going to make a fourth Fantastic Beast movie, they can still broaden the wizarding world by making a crime/mystery movie. Harry Potter is known for its themes involving mystery and politics. I am sure everyone is as curious as I am about how wizards and witches are caught for killing people. They can even reference aurors from the books such as Moody and Longbottoms depending on the time period. The story can focus on young Moody or a friend of Moody's. The later would be safer because then the story does not center around an already established character. Little is known about Moody other than he was a dark wizard catcher and a friend of Dumbledore so maybe him being the protagonist is better. Perhaps, they should have him be a partner of the protagonist so the story focuses more on the protagonist but enough on Moody. Fantastic Beast movies went from focusing more on magical animals with politics in the background to focusing more on politics with magical animals in the background. They also progressively lost their sense of wonder. The Crimes of Grindelwald had too many characters but it had a lot of good scenes. Even if the later movies were good, they are not rewatchable. You do not want people to come from the theatres and say "it was good but it does not stick with me and I am most likely not going to watch it again."
This would be difficult though, even more if they are just relying on spells.
It would also be incredibly cool to see all this as a detective-like series, in dark noir tones. The audience that grew up on Harry Potter has already grown up and we are ready for more serious and dramatic stories

Not sending Dumbledore to escort him to prison was the dumbest thing ever done
I had heard that some of the filmmakers thought that Grindlewald was a bit too nice in the first film and some of the cast were even agreeing with him, so they had to make him more evil in the sequel. I think that's why they added Antonio
The same happened for the third movie. I only saw a few deleted scenes from the third movie but a few people on reddit and on other UA-cam platforms said they deleted a few of Grindelwald scenes in the third movie is it made him more good than evil. Like one deleted scene I personally saw was the scene of Credence killing the auror that followed Dumbledore. Credence took on Grindelwald traits and portrayed him to be more closer to Grindelwald as what is shown in the final product. Someone else also asked about Credence wand and someone said in the FB3 movie they also cutted a dialogue where it was said Grindelwald taught Credence how to use his wand and how to remain in control with his obscurial power (I believe it was a discussion between Vinda Rossier and Grindelwald). Either way I don't think Grindelwald is evil, the movies only portray him to use excessive means to achieve what he wants that shows him evil. There is many times where he chooses not to kill and there are times where he defends his followers like for instance this scene. Even in FB 3 during that German rally he shook his supporters hands personally and thanked them for supporting him. His view to kill muggles is wrong but I just think he is a misguided character genuinely believing he is doing it for the Wizarding world. Remember in the first movie Grindelwald plan was to convince the Wizarding world to stop hiding and when the governments refused he decided to take it upon himself to stand for leader to change that. It yet again suggests its not about him but about the view he believes. Its a pretty interesting character in my opinion.
Sure, the movie wasn't great but this opening was badass
