For me grindelwald scares me more than Voldemort ever did. Voldemort just killed anyone in his way but Grindelwald was more cold and calculating. The elder wand also answered to him unlike Voldemort as Grindelwald was one of its true owners, which enhanced his abilities.
Agreed, plus Grindelwald can feel emotions and understands them, this allows him to manipulate people, this makes him more dangerous than Voldemort but also better
Same here pretty much. Voldemort was just evil, senseless destruction and ambiguous violence with no end goal (beyond killing Harry) in sight. Grindelwald had a bigger impact in just 1-2 movies than what Voldemort tried in 7. Grindelwald is just more terrifying because of his calmness. No noise or yelling, screaming - pure Machiavellian thinking, almost poetic.
Yep he was the in fact the guy who stole the elder wand from the first owner I think, in One of the Harry Potter movies, a scene where a guy was jumping out of the window with the elder wand. That was him, Grindelwald
Differences between Grindelwald and Voldemort: 1. Voldemort didn't know what is love, nor did he think it was powerful. Grindelwald knew love, felt love, and respected the power of love. 2. Voldemort killed for pleasure. Grindelwald killed to execute his sinister plans. 3. Voldemort gained followers by threatening them, Grindelwald gained followers by making them believe they were right. 4. Voldemort was feared, Grindelwald was feared, respected, and awed. 5. Voldemort knew he was evil and liked it, Grindelwald believed he had the right idea. 6. Grindelwald had a lot of style (like Dumbledore😉) ,Voldemort simply did not. Edit: 7. Grindelwald has a nose. Voldemort doesn't.
Grindelwald was feared by his enemies and extremely respected by his followers. He was already an acknowledged powerful wizard but the fact was he not only wielded a legendary deathly hallows but also had the gall the state what all wizards thought at the time. He also knew the future to an extent. What he wanted wasn’t senseless destruction he wanted a better world where his people didn’t have to fear others or hide and he was willing to kill in order to achieve it.
I would add the following: Voldemort feared death, Grindelwald doesn´t. Grindelwald is someone leading his people in a battle as the first man infront of his army and would die for everyone of them Here is something that came to my mind just now: Voldemort never disarmed or killed the rightful owner of the Elder Wand because Harry disarmed Draco who disarmed Dumbledor. Voldemort thought Snape is the rightful owner of the wand because Snape killed Dumbledore. But Harry went infront of him in the forrest and then Voldemort killed him, destroying the hocrux inside of Harry in the process. Harry was in limbo but came back after that. So here would i ask the following: Is a simple getting killed and the hocrux inside you destroyed and come back to life again enough for the Elder Wand to say: "Yeah sorry non-nose dude, but i stay with that guy over there" or could it be that Voldemorts fear of death and his creation of horcruxes against Harry who steped infront of him, welcoming death, just simply showed himself not worthy enough to be the true master of the Elder Wand and the wand again says "sorry non-nose dude, but i stay with that guy"
Johnny Depp IS Grindelwald. Nobody can replace him. As with everything he does, Johnny owned that role and brought this character to life in ways nobody else can. It is an absolute joke he has been axed for some "allegations." There was a reason he was selected in the first place to play this character. Johnny is one of the few versatile actors who can transform himself so convincingly on screen that the audience becomes immersed and transfixed by him. The people responsible for dropping him are going to look like fools once Johnny's name has been finally cleared.
I don't know - unlike Colin Farrell, Depp never seemed to believe his own words, he just sort of sounded like someone who wanted those around him to believe what he said. Grindelwald is supposed to be a man who lives in service to his own ideals, and I never got that from Depp. He came off as far, far too power-hungry and egotistical, in a sense. Farrell came off as someone who lead the revolution because he felt honour bound to do so, that it was his duty as one of the best and brightest wizards of his day to do what he could to elevate wizardkind to what he in fact saw as their rightful place in the world, and not necessarily because he had this desire to rule over it for its own sake.
@@ninclow5421 Agreed, actually. I like Depp for what he can do, but he's not as good as Colin when it comes to BECOMING a character. Colin Farrell just being a disguise in the first movie disappointed me, he was so goddamn good at it.
@@NtoTheM Before he was exposed as Grindelwald, I figured Graves had been somehow infatuated with Grindelwald's ideology and become a follower. How cool wouldn't that be, and how dangerous/formidable wouldn't that make Grindelwald appear, if he can influence people that much over such a vast distance, even in places where his following don't really have a huge foothold? Up until Grindelwald dueled all those thirty+ Aurors at once in the New York underground, Graves had done nothing to suggest he wasn't a "normal wizard", with the wandless magic being potentially explained away by their geographical proximity to South America, where wandless magic once were commonplace. When we saw how effortlessly Graves bested Newt and the ease with witch he fended off Tina, I remember thinking like: "Is this how good Mad-Eye Moody was in his prime?" A redemption arc where Graves joined Grindelwald in film 1 and joined Dumbledore's efforts to defeat him later, that'd be cool.
Say what you will... Voldemort may be more evil and powerful but Grindelwald is a better dark wizard..... he is a professional, exceptionally powerful, formidable, cunning, intelligent and is Dumbeldore's true equal...... one of the most complex and interesting characters in the Harry Potter universe
@@melissa8707 lmao. Voldemort is far more knowledgeable and evil than Grindelwald. Tell me how Grindelwald is 10 times better than Voldemort in legilemency when he's never even used it. He needed Queenie who has no feats. Voldy can speak in minds of hundreds of people while he's almost a mile away. He made horcruxes. He was far more knowledgeable in dark magic. Voldemort had brains contrary to your misguided belief. Why do you think he put a taboo on his name? He is one of the most knowledgeable wizards ever. Grindelwald is evil. Voldy is above usual evil. And Grindelwald's plan was what? Show them ww2 and they'll suddenly obey him. He killed everyone who was against him too
Grindelwald is so much scarier than voldemort because he doesn’t *force* people to join him. He appeals to them, he has thousands more followers that are loyal to him and willing to die for him. Whereas voldemort has maybe hundreds of followers, but only a handful would die for him, they follow him in order to save themselves.
Funnily enough, outside of Bellatrix Lestrange very few were ever loyal to Voldemort till the end. Heck, most of the Death Eaters even ran away during the Battle of Hogwarts after Harry got up again in the courtyard to fight him. Voldemort attempted loyalty through fear not respect. Grindelwald and his ideals would win respect in my book any day. Would make sense for him to have more loyal followers than Voldemort.
@@robinvm4698 see nazis and those Germans who followed hitler and his ideals. Fear works on micro scale at macro levels it is always charisma and persuasion
@@devendralamba2747 Not even gonna argue with you on that one mate. If you think fear wasn't a huge part of Nazi Germany -- you clearly didn't read your history books. Besides, each generation gets more and more cynical. What worked as a propaganda and "charismatic" persuasion back in the 40's wouldn't even remotely work now. Fear is eternal though. It's the strongest and most primal human instinct.
Because voldemort doesn't need to block anything, he's as dumbledore said the darkest wizard of all time, his ability to switch between spells and combining them is unraveled, even dumbledore with the elder wand found difficulty to stop him.
Sora The spoiler except that dumbeldore actually stopped him 1 vs 1 after the death of Sirius WITHOUT the elder wand. Yes he wasnt strong enough to beat him, but he was strong enough to stop him AND protect harry AT THE SAME TIME. Vold wanted them both death, he didnt killed them because he couldnt
Edit: I deleted that long essay I wrote here... why did I even write it? The thing is pretty clear: the production will say grindelwald is stronger cause right now; it's his era and saying that the current villain is weaker than someone will be not a wise choice
Like you can be clear about your feeling for voldemort....but for grindelwald....he is damn more powerful , dangerous and manipulative....like for a sec during his speech I was also almost convinced...his speech and his ways....oh my days.... Also...on one point grindelwald is better than voldemort...because when one of his followers died...he went near her and kind of presented grief for her unlike voldemort who doesn't care about his followers...and also grindelwald called his followers friends.... No doubt dumbeldore also got manipulated by him...and loved him in a philosophical way... Voldemort is phsycopath who wants immortality and wanna become the most powerful....he also fears death....while grindelwald was doing everything for his greater good and he could even die for that...he had better understanding than voldemort...for albus dumbeldore defeated him but wasn't able to defeat voldemort cause he didn't want to....he was just holding him.... Voldemort vs. Harry potter.....voldemort and his arrogance are dead... Grindelwald vs. Harry potter.... Epic and difficult to tell ..whether it had be the boy who lived or the boy who died... Voldermort was darker but grindelwald was wayyyy more dangerous... He also understood emotions....I am not saying he was a good guy but atleast he was better than voldemort.... Like voldemort wanted to kill a baby and he didn't even think once...and grindelwald couldn't see the baby die... Grindelwald is a leader....his followers....he calls them frnds...and they are real loyal to grindelwald... Voldermort is a ruler....who doesn't care for his followers and his followers follow him out of fear not loyalty
Grindelwald was truly terrifying, he had a goal based on the desire of many, he wanted the magical world to lead and change the status quo of the world. Something people of all parties could understand and fight for loyally. Voldemort followers would just betray Voldemort if things got ugly, Grindelwald followers would die for the cause.
Grindelwald didn't even have to manipulate people cuz they were already thinking and feeling deeply about these things already for a long time, he was the only one bold enough to speak out about it, if not him then someone else will, they just want to live freely and being oppressed and suffocating to death is no life at all, with his legendary skills, elder wand and devoted followers the dream can become a reality and the impossible can be accomplished , they just want to live the life they crave and desire deeply in their own hearts and minds , it's awe inspiring and empowering to see someone of your own race leading the world being able to help achieve the dream
I will miss Johnny Depp in Fantastic Beasts III!!!!!!!! His portrayal of Gellert Grindelwald is phenomenal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No one can play that role like he can.
@@ninclow5421 Omg, somebody finally said it. Colin portrayed all the charisma Johnny overwhelms with his wacky quirky eccentric bullcrap. He forgot this is a Wizarding World movie and not something directed by Tim Burton. I'd have loved if Colin played Grindlewald instead, but Mads did a pretty good job. Despite Secrets of Dumbledore being mediocre at best. And Dumbledore falling in love with Colin Farrell tracks. Who hasn't?
@@Lolbama2012 You know, Rowling should have written a prequel series to give David Yates more of a source material to draw on. Short of that, at the very _least_ the franchise should have with Newt at Hogwarts, his expulsion, and having to face his family afterwards. Rowling mentioned that Newt, unlike Hagrid, got to keep his wand and practice magic, which I can only assume is because of how Newt, unlike Hagrid at the time, had sat his O.W.L.s by the time he was expelled, which was valid credentials in the working life and testified to the fact that unlike younger children, who knew too little about magic to be safely left to their own devices and therefore had their wands snapped, Newt was seen as knowing enough magic to still be a productive member of society. I can see it now.... Newt is sixteen, and the year is 1913... The movie centres around Newt and Tina, where we are introduced to them as Hogwarts students. The scenes from Crimes of Grindelwald are included and unchanged... During a meal at the Great Hall, we are indirectly introduced to Newt Scamander's brother when some of Newt's housemates that had been leaning over the day's addition of the Daily Prophet and remarks that Newt's brother are in the paper again: Theseus Scamander, the brightest young star in the Auror department, now with more than a dozen successful captures of dangerous, Dark wizards under his belt in the past six months alone. The first portion of this part of the three-act structure ends with Newt taking the blame for Leta's accidental endangerment the life of a fellow student after one of her experiments with a Jarvey went out of control, resulting in Newt sitting in what would one day become Dumbledore's office, seated in front of the desk of then Headmaster Phineas Nigellus Black, surrounded by teachers. After harshly berating Newt for his recklessness, Professor Black informs him that the fellow student that the Jarvey had attacked had to be transferred to St. Mungo's Hospital, and that he had already been in contact with the Board of Governors, who fortunately for him had confirmed that the victim's family had accepted the explanation that it was a "freak accident" and did not hold the faculty responsible. He then opened Newt's student file, listing his various indiscretions and apparent disregard for authority, citing examples such as the month's worth of detention he got from for his impertinence towards the school's esteemed Charms Master. Professor Dumbledore sends one of his colleagues present a disapproving look before stepping forward to argue that Professor Prendergast, who had been the Head of the Committee for the Disposal of Dangerous Creatures at the Ministry before Black hired him, had always been biased against Newt or his fondness for the sort of creatures he used to execute. Professor Black sneeringly reminds him of past conversations where he had told him that he could not protect Newt forever, and declared his decision to expel Newt from Hogwarts, nastily remarking that it was past time. Dumbledore objects, but the Headmaster has said his final word on the matter, and we see a broken-hearted Newt pack his belongings in his dormitory and exit the Hufflepuff Common Room. Leta is waiting for him outside of it, and insists that she can make it right by coming clean, but Newt stubbornly refuses, and only urges her to look after his friends on Bowtruckle Island before he leaves her, looking devastated. He is then met by his parents in the Great Hall, who looks furious and were bitterly ashamed, and Theseus, the only one of them that seems to consider what Newt might be going through, tries to encouragingly point out that at least Newt was allowed to keep his wand and do magic, but Newt does not reply, and we see the Scamanders leave the grounds in silence; seen by a heavy-hearted Dumbledore through a window. He sighs, and the scene fades to black as we see through the window the distant figures exit through the front gates of the castle with Newt's trunk levitating after them. I even have an idea for an in-between sequel between film 2 and the original FB, if you're interested?
ok. the books did mention that voldemort is the most powerful dark wizard of all time but what if... grindelwald is the most powerful non-dark bad wizard of all time?! i mean cmon guys, voldemort has some horrifying spells like they are from the underworld or something but grindelwald's mastery of conventional and all known arts plus his mastery of human psychology and emotions were truly amazing and extremely terrifying to watch.
you are right, but think about it, grindelwald and voldemort are both dark wizards, one of them is more powerfull when it comes to dark arts and is definitely more knowlegeable as he dug deep into absurdly evil things like horcruxes etc, even if grindelwald has the elder wand he cannot conquer voldemort in a duel, seeing as dumbledore without the elder wand was able to defeat grindel with the elder wand in a duel which was described as the most cruel, dumbledore was afraid of voldemort because he was unpredictable and evil to the core, he took his chances with harry to be able to find his secrets so that he can put him down.

Im seeing a lot of comments comparing Voldy to Grindelwald. Dumbledore and Grindelwald had their legendary duel when they were in their 60s, which is basically the "prime" age in wizards. It was described as the greatest duel in wizarding history. Even dumbeldore in HP books admitted their intellect and skill was on par with one another, though his was just a touch better. Dumbledore at 116 years old clapped Voldemort whilst trapping Bellatrix and keeping harry safe all at once(book), and despite Voldy going all out, Dumbledore wasn't even going for the kill, he just wanted to stall. Imagine then what a prime Grindelwald would do to Voldemort in a duel :/ Furthermore, Grindelwald had more or less conquered all of Europe, with GB being the exception cause of Dumbledore, whilst Voldemort could barely take over England in his 11 year campaign, before his first "death". Furthermore, Voldemorts fear of love and ignorance to the affect it can have on magic really puts him in a spot compared to Grindelwald who understands the power of the emotions. People followed Grindelwald because he spoke to their hearts. They believed in him. Voldemorts followers joined by fear, or personal greed and the second he was destroyed the first time, they went back to their lives and didn't even bother to search for their lord in 14 years, until he returned. Just to point out, I give mad cred to Voldy and ofc he is a top tier wizard, but the lists always puts him on top of Grindelwald and that just isn't true IMO. With all that said, now that I've explained how fkn boss Grindelwald truly is, let this next piece of nugget sink in: Despite all his epic ness, Albus Dumbledore managed to beat him EVEN WITH Grindelwald being in possession of the Elder Wand.
Also, Dumbledore never said he was more powerful than Grindelwald, but he was "a shade more skillful." Albus was am academic overachiever, while Grindelwald focused on personal interests like the Hallows and his experiments that got him expelled. Albus completed seven years of schooling, and graduated, while Grindelwald was expelled halfway through his sixth of nine years. Furthermore, while Albus taught Transfiguration (or defense against the dark arts) and expanded his knowledge and repertoire of spells, Grindelwald focused on campaigning and building up a cult following and searching for the aforementioned Deathly Hallows. Taking all that into account, it makes perfect sense that Dumbledore would be Grindelwalds superior in terms of skill (more than just a shade). Dumbledore, as we've already established, is more powerful in his seniority than Voldemort was in his prime. Grindelwald is more powerful than Voldemort, and just as powerful as Dumbledore.
I think maybe powerful and dueling get mixed up. Dueling is just another subject at magic. Sure having more powerful magic will give you the edge but it isn't going to mean you're winning fights automatically. Voldemort stood out as the most powerful just because how far he could push the limits. Making 7 horcruxes probably isn't something to scoff at, keeping ones soul together probably isn't easy, among his other magical feats. Can't just base power off a fist fight sometimes.
Yes, I mean I think he felt that death was weakness or lack of power. He would rather live as a weak powerless dependent parasite with no physical form than face death like everyone else but I think his inability to understand love screwed him over time and time again...
There's something the way Grindelwald (johnny depp) and Voldemort (ralph fiennes) holding their wands. It's just so classy, graceful, effortless yet powerful 😍
I love the way he moves and the way he fights with his wand in one way and with wandless magic in a different way at the same time and of course his Manipulation and style are nearly perfect.

What he wanted wasn’t senseless destruction he wanted a better world where his people didn’t have to fear others or hide and he was willing to kill in order to achieve it.
I would add the following: Voldemort feared death, Grindelwald doesn´t. Grindelwald is someone leading his people in a battle as the first man infront of his army and would die for everyone of them
Here is something that came to my mind just now: Voldemort never disarmed or killed the rightful owner of the Elder Wand because Harry disarmed Draco who disarmed Dumbledor. Voldemort thought Snape is the rightful owner of the wand because Snape killed Dumbledore. But Harry went infront of him in the forrest and then Voldemort killed him, destroying the hocrux inside of Harry in the process. Harry was in limbo but came back after that.
So here would i ask the following: Is a simple getting killed and the hocrux inside you destroyed and come back to life again enough for the Elder Wand to say: "Yeah sorry non-nose dude, but i stay with that guy over there" or could it be that Voldemorts fear of death and his creation of horcruxes against Harry who steped infront of him, welcoming death, just simply showed himself not worthy enough to be the true master of the Elder Wand and the wand again says "sorry non-nose dude, but i stay with that guy"
no.7 is the best fact😁

Johnny Depp IS Grindelwald. Nobody can replace him. As with everything he does, Johnny owned that role and brought this character to life in ways nobody else can. It is an absolute joke he has been axed for some "allegations." There was a reason he was selected in the first place to play this character. Johnny is one of the few versatile actors who can transform himself so convincingly on screen that the audience becomes immersed and transfixed by him. The people responsible for dropping him are going to look like fools once Johnny's name has been finally cleared.
yes that is true! Colin was good too but Johnny woow.

When we saw how effortlessly Graves bested Newt and the ease with witch he fended off Tina, I remember thinking like: "Is this how good Mad-Eye Moody was in his prime?"
A redemption arc where Graves joined Grindelwald in film 1 and joined Dumbledore's efforts to defeat him later, that'd be cool.

I even have an idea for an in-between sequel between film 2 and the original FB, if you're interested?

you are right, but think about it, grindelwald and voldemort are both dark wizards, one of them is more powerfull when it comes to dark arts and is definitely more knowlegeable as he dug deep into absurdly evil things like horcruxes etc, even if grindelwald has the elder wand he cannot conquer voldemort in a duel, seeing as dumbledore without the elder wand was able to defeat grindel with the elder wand in a duel which was described as the most cruel, dumbledore was afraid of voldemort because he was unpredictable and evil to the core, he took his chances with harry to be able to find his secrets so that he can put him down.

I don't think Voldemort feared love, he didn't understand it. Voldemort's #1 fear seemed to be death.
@@jammzy2959 I'd say that's pretty accurate. I also think he was afraid of feeling powerless.
Yes, I mean I think he felt that death was weakness or lack of power. He would rather live as a weak powerless dependent parasite with no physical form than face death like everyone else but I think his inability to understand love screwed him over time and time again...

@@adityabhalekar3506 man either you're trippin or jk rowling is trippin cause I heard her say in an interview the gridelwald is the most powerful after dumbledore, if you say who's more dark and cruel id say voldemort, but if you mean who could cause more destruction id say grindelwald
Voldemort: aaavaadaa kedaavrrra 🔉
Grindelwald: O my dear Tom! it's just a nice spell, so speak softly and lovingly.
Istg this man has the most soothing voice ever-
Mr. Grindelwald, we're gonna miss you
Why nobody is talking abt that Johnny Depp took classes to be an orchestra director to move the wand smoothly and cool.
Hes got to be the best wizard ive ever see
I like Johnny Depp playing as grindelwald
Sighs he such a star a big shining star that will always be in darkness never to shine again ....you rock johnny
No wonder Dumbledore felt for Grindelwald - he’s got flair and charisma like no other and Johnny Depp captured it so well and made the character his own. I was truly disappointed not to see him in the third installment……
So basically, every scene in the movies
0:04 i have no idea why, but i love that scene.
I'll miss you jhonny #teamgrindelwaldforever
It feels like Grindelwald was the true protagonist fighting for freedom while Dumbledore is the true villain, the representative of the oppressors.
That's twisted.
There's truth in that the muggles have for thousands of years dominated the world doing a lot of pain and suffering ,genociding themselves and wizards too , Grindelwald didn't even have to manipulate people cuz they were already thinking and feeling deeply about these things already for a long time, he was the only one bold enough to speak out about it, if not him then someone else will, they just want to live freely and being oppressed and suffocating to death is no life at all, with his legendary skills, elder wand and devoted followers the dream can become a reality and the impossible can be accomplished , they just want to live the life they crave and desire deeply in their own hearts and minds , it's awe inspiring and empowering to see someone of your own race leading the world being able to help achieve the dream
@@tylersoto7465 he wants to obliterate the muggles, lol. That's not “awe-inspiring,” lmao. He wants to commit mass genocide-not “live freely.” The muggles don't even know about the wizarding world. Yes, the wizards/witches were oppressed by muggles-but that does not give Grindewald the right to slaughter them.
@@harrypotterfan2536
Exactly! He was against Muggles just as much as Voldemort was.
These Fantastic Beasts movies did wonders for Grindelwald.
To be honest I wana see more of grindelwald magic. You dont see enough of his potential.
Voldy maybe stronger than Grindy but Grindy terrified me a lot, he was not predictable, he's cunning and manipulative and that's made him a very dangerous wizard
Now I can kinda see why Dumbledore fell in love with this man, who wouldn't?
Voldemort is like that big brooding and scary mythical monster in stories we hear . Grindelwald is that cunning so called friend who has been keeping that monster as a pet and setting us up as pet food to it .
Former is admittedly scary , but the latter is both charming and convincing AND downright spine chillingly terrifying at the same time.
I like the way Johnny used magic in the movie. It always looked like he was conducting a symphony when he used a spell. Most of the time, all the other actors just point and woosh sometning happens.
Wandless Magic
Grindelwald won't be the same without Depp..
However, if he really HAS te be replaced, then I think Mads Mikkelsen is a really good choice
Best line “Play by the rules, No cheating Children”
He is dangerous but fair. He doesn't care about blood purity. If i am a wizard at that time, i will surely follow him. 100%.
No one can play gellert Grindelwald like Johnny Depp can madds was great but Johnny was perfect if gellert was badass then Johnny was badass for his legendary iconic idolized obsessed role as the greatest badass wizard gangster king 👑 of all time
The entire time I watched fantastic magical beasts I was like holy shit! This guy makes Voldemort look tame and this compilation just displays every friggin reason why!
Lmao just realized he had the elder wand
David Bakke - I’m guessing you haven’t watched Harry Potter but, Grindewald owns the elder wand until Dumbledore defeats him.
@@carlgordonjr well no technically he doesn't own it. To have true power over the elder wand, one must kill the previous owner (as specified in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2) Grindelwald stole the wand from Gregovarich, at the time anyway.
Oliver Coad - Thats not true, you don’t have to kill the owner, if you have to kill the owner why did Draco end up being the owner of the elder wand? You have to disarm or steal the wand from the owner.
Oliver Coad - It was specified by Voldemort and he was wrong... How do you think Grindewald owned it? He didn’t kill gregorovitch he stole it.
Carl Well, actually I’d say you are wrong aswell. From my knowledge ownership of the wand can be transferred by either Killing or Disarming/Stunning.
Idk why but every role johny depp played, it always like he was born for it...
Man that duel with him as Grindlewald and Jude Law as Dumbledore would have been legendary. How the hell will Dumbledore beat him while he has the elder wand?! Makes me giddy just thinking about it!
The excessive characters and plots were a hinderance, but replacing Johnny was a deathblow. Don't get me wrong i think Mads did a wonderful job, but they have different styles and the inconsistency is horrible.
When someone can use magic without wands is a clear indication that that mf is strong
So glad that colin was Oscar nominatied this year
Am I the only one who feels like he's about to cry when he says "love freely"
I am a huge Fan of Jhonny Depp but in this case I prefered Colin Farrell - his acting was beyond brilliant
Once depp does a character he owns it and nobody else feels that good in that ever again😕
I thought the same thing about Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter and no one should even try but i watched the tv show and now Mads Mikkelsen is my favorite Hannibal ever . If you give people a chance and be more open minded than maybe you would see the talent of so many underrated actors
Collin was also awesome, but when Depp was fully revealed......damn
Tbh I would join Grindelwald if I was part of the movie. Knowing us, humans, he's right we might end up in war. 😶
Johnny depp is the only grindelwald sorry but recasting him was a horrible idea. I love seeing him as a villian. He is just captivating and really pulls you into the movie.
Sorry but he pulled me out of the movie everytime he was on screen . That look didn't do him any favors but whenever i saw him i was like ... jepp Johnny Depp doing Johnny Depp things
Because of depp, i got inspored to try acting, ill try acting workshops next year if covid is over
It always bothered me on how did he manage to make the wands of the aurors inside the carriage to point themselves at their masters and somehow instantly disintegrated.
Willy Wonka if he never picked that ashen chocolate from his fireplace
I love Colin Farrell and Johnny Depp in Harry Potter Prequel
part of me still wants to see the final fight between grindelwald and dumbledore as johnny depp acting grindelwald :/ till the day i die ill never be at peace until i can see that happen. mikkelssen's emotions and acting is still brilliant tho.
I love how he lookedlike he was orchestrating music with the blue flame.
