That actor playing Severus is just PERFECT...showing his emotions, his rage, his power, his sorrow...and also physically, just how I imagined Severus at that age, according to books, tall, scrawny, all arms and legs, with delicate, long fingers, big nose and pale.

These young actors have some insane talent. Especially the actor of James. He really showed us why Snape told Harry "Your father was a SWINE" because he genuinely was, by the looks of things. The actor who played Peter was also an absolutely perfect fit. This was also a great portrayal of how powerful Snape actually always was. You made me hate Harry's dad, love Snape more, see what Lupin had to deal with, and why he always talked like he was these idiot's father figure, because he really kinda was like their dad. Also Peter will always be a disgrace. Incredibly well portrayed, all of you, and hats off to the SFX department for producing magical effects near on par with the movies. Better than what Wizards of Waverly Place ever did lmfao. It's crazy that this video was made 8 years ago, yet still had effects like this. Goosebumps. Literal Goosebumps.
Only issue with that is, At this point James had matured and wasn't acting like this anymore, according to the books. But I won't complain, it's still good
@@midnightzgamer20k Yeah, according to the Order Of Phoenix Book, Sirius and Lupin said that now when they look back to it, it's really nothing to be proud of. And I reckon James didn't have a idea about Snape's crush on Lily. Moreover, Lupin and Sirius said that they matured in their 7th year and stopped doing things like this. So here they show a after-graduation scene but they weren't like that at that time...
I love Snape, and something always bothered me about Lily, is the fact she ended up marrying James, who always treated Snape with such cruelty. Among all other wizards she could have met, she went for James. Who also just happened to be quite rich... A little bit of a gold digger, isn't she?
@@gabrielamarcus snape couldn't let go of his hatred of people - lily was the only person he really liked. She obviously saw that James was flawed but warm-hearted whereas snape, for all his brilliance was bitter.

@Diana Kim Doran-Webb Yes but Alan Rickman was also an amazing and experienced actor.. this guy didn’t have as much experience and he still did amazing haha
But Snape IS strong. He's been creating his own freaking spells when he was a teenager, even non-verbal ones, and that's aside from the fact his main talent was actually potion making. Marauders were strong too, I guess...but there was never explained how or why.
They played the Marauders perfectly *James:* Always wants to fight *Sirius:* Doesn't want to fight unless he's with James *Remus:* Doesn't want to fight unless it's extremely necessary *Peter:* Doesn't want to fight unless told to, because he isn't brave enough It's so sad we know how all this is going to end
The Marauders bullied Snape throughout his years at Hogwarts, and Lily was fully aware of this taking place, and yet when Snape decided to give them a taste of their own medicine and fight back, she immediately went to James’s defense treating him like he’s the victim all along. Given the intense rivalry James, and Snape had over the years, it’s hard to think Lily is still bias towards Snape, especially when he never wanted a confrontation!
One, this video isn't canon. Two, the reason why Lily ended it was because Snape was essentially a Death Eater. Three, The Marauders and Snape had a rivalry. It wasn't a one-sided bullying.
@@eternallucifer7709 Regardless if it’s canon or non-canon is irrelevant. If you read the books, then surely you know that the bullying was totally one-sided; James and Sirius calling Snape, “Snivellus” on a daily basis was proof enough. Snape completely dismissed Lily’s perceived notion of heroism James displayed when he ‘supposedly’ saved him from being killed by Remus who was a experiencing lycanthropy, but in actuality he was doing it solely out of self-preservation!
@@jordanrobinson9064, it actually very much is as it is extremely inacurate. "then surely you know that the bullying was totally one-sided" I have read the books and they do not show that at all. If anything, it is Snape who makes it look like that where he goes so far as saying he was ganged up on 4 v1, which with everything we know is clearly not true. "James and Sirius calling Snape, “Snivellus” on a daily basis was proof enough" No, that just proves they were indeed nasty to him, it doesn't prove at all Snape didn't do anything. The guy literally created a dark spell to slice James head off, which he used in SWM. Even after James changed and stopped hexing people for fun, Snape still went after him. Does this look like a one-sided relationship to you? "Snape completely dismissed Lily’s perceived notion of heroism James displayed when he ‘supposedly’ saved him from being killed by Remus who was a experiencing lycanthropy, but in actuality he was doing it solely out of self-preservation!" Yes, Snape dismissed that. Just like he dismissed any possibilities that Sirius was innocent and was more than ready to throw to a Dementor's kiss just because he hated him from his Hogwart years. Just like he dismissed the idea that Harry wasn't like his father, a trouble maker who was full of himself, even though everyone, Dumbledore included, was saying he was seeing only what he wanted. See what I'm saying? Using Snape as a reference, especially for the werewolf incident, is a no go cause Snape is adamant in his view that the Marauders were evil and lived to torment him, rejects any idea of their innocence, and will throw an innocent man to one of the worst fates possible simply because he hates him. He even believed Lupin was in with the werewolf incident, which we know for a fact isn't true.
@@jordanrobinson9064 Are you out of your mind. You do realise that in canon, Snape was doing the equivalent of joining the Hitler youths despite being half Jewish, right? The marauders were bullies, but he was far from an innocent victim
People that are mad at snape's power, did you not read the books?. He was an expert at dark arts in his first year. Knew more than the seventh years and created his own deadly spells. On top of that he is skilled at dueling in general and is a potions master. And on top of THAT can literally fly without the use of brooms or teleporting spells. Only he and Voldemort are capable of that. Even Dumbledore couldn't fly. Plus he is skilled in occlumency and legilimency. He's a beast.
14:51 The most painful scream from Snape I've ever heard, you can really hear his anger, pain, sadness and pressure coming out of him after such a long time. ❤❤😢😢😢
What would be James' reaction, if someone at this time told him these 3 things- 1. Snape is going to risk his own life to save James' son's life 2. Snape is going to become the headmaster of Hogwarts 3. James' grandson's name is going to be Albus Severus Potter
Amazing! The acting, the effects, the music - just che'f's kiss. Also, the Snape actor (apart from being an amazing actor) did really well with the wand movements. Quick and precise but not overdone. Really brilliant
And I also liked How James said 'Severus please' begging him not to kill or hurt him completely contradicting how later Dumbledore says 'Severus please' begging Snape to kill him.
The CGI and the acting were both surprisingly good in my opinion and I love that Voldemort reveal at the end. The actors also were great for looking like younger selves of the characters. This was a great little 25-minute story about the Marauders and Snape. You did a pretty good job guys.
This actually made me cry a little because of everything that Snape went through. No friends, lost the only one who cared about him, the only one he loved, and in the end, died alone. That's heartbreaking.
Actually he sorta died in Harry's arms. At least he could see Lily's emerald eyes for one last time, but I wish Harry knew the truth about him all along
He died in her child's arms... given the circumstances, and the obvious lack of her presence, I think that was the best possible way for him to die. So he wasn't remembered as a terrible person. And so he knew Dumbledore didn't die in vain. He didn't suffer. That it was his choice. He also saw a lot of reasons behind his hateful words and actions towards Harry... his father basically manipulated Lily away from him. The one person in the entire world that truly cared about him other than Dumbledore, really. And maybe the other professors. His "bad" impression is merely just a projection of the trauma he's experienced due to his entire lineage.
Its actually very impressive how everyone there looks extremely convincing as younger versions of the characters seen in the movies, to the point that it could easily not be fan-made. The actor playing Peter just NAILED with his gestures and face expressions.
The only character representation I didn't like was Voldemort. He would've looked like the Chamber of Secrets Tom Riddle, maybe a little bit more manly than boyish. But he wouldn't have looked the way he was portrayed in this film. Still, yes great character representations as far as the others go and it was very well made as well.
Bravo! What a splendid little gem. Thank you for bringing this backstory to life. It really allows us to see what Snape went through giving him so much more richness. As well as taking some of the glean off of the purity of James and the other marauders giving so much more depth and humanity to the entire series. Excellent casting. Excellent all around. Cheers!
I love the detail that Remus was the only one who didn't join in the chanting of calling Snape "Snivellous". He was the kindest of the Marauders and was likely the only one that didn't bully Snape.
@@kingcamelot1395 it's 100% Dark Arts dude It's literally a spell that creates a giant fire creature that can kill everyone in his way without problems and that is nearly impossibile to control. It can literally destroy Horcruxes, that's how deadly it is

You mean the fact, that he hesitates to strike from behind a guy who did him no wrong? Yeah, I think Peter is the most wholesome, the most moral and ethical person out of them four.
@@Sai4651 out of fear?! Are you fucking dreaming?!? "It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends." Dumbledore about Neville in HP&tPS Not only Peter realized how immoral was what his friends had done to Snape; unlike Lupin, he had the actual guts to act upon his morals and not just fold in half under their cruel wills. In recognition of all the wrong he might've been an accomplice to during his school years, Peter preferred to bare his weakness before Snape; turn the other cheek for Snape to hit if he so wished; show his unguarded backside for Snape to strike like Potter and Black so often did to Snape. And Snape actually understood Peter perfectly (unlike your delusional self); he understood and forgave Peter, that's why Snape chose to let him go unharmed.
I think the only innacuracy is that in the books they said James grew out of that arrogance and picking stupid fights before graduating in Hogwarts. He may still loathed Snape, but I think he would come more to pity him and think he is not worth it. (I mean, I really hope that Remus and Black were being impartial and honest in that talk with Harry in the fourth book, BC otherwise James is one of the most despicable assholes in the whole series, who got rewarded for being evil, and managed to manipulate everyone around into believing he was a good guy) Apart from that. This, was, the most thrilling, exciting and well made thing I have seen about Harry potter. It is amazing. It gave me the same shrills I felt with Harry chasing Snape after Dumbledore's death, and how he humiliates Harry proving how a masterful wizard truly fights.
I belive he might have pick UP on snape one last Time if it was something involving Lily since you know hé is overprotective plus it was not Said that hé grow completely from his arrogance
I like Cedric in goblet of fire but I just don’t like him in cursed child Now spoiler alert Harry’s son Albus and Dracos son Scorpius use a time turner to turn back in time to prevent Cedric from dying but because Cedric was humiliated in the Triwizard Tournament so he joins the death eaters and kills Neville in the Battle of Hogwarts
I love this short film. It shows the Marauders to be the bullies they are. Severus Snape is an intriguing character and it’s nice to see him on the winning side although it’s bittersweet that he loses Lily. Pity she didn’t arrive earlier when all four were ganged up against him. It is well cast, well scripted, well acted and the special effects were great. Well done to the film makers. Of course this is an alternate interpretation to the books but it provides the backstory and rationale for why Snape joined Voldemort.
@@hsokol I agree with point one and two but I don’t think I was their fault he became a death eater. Let me remind you that even with everything Lily said he would not leave the group of dark wizards at Hogwarts. I feel like he is too keen to the dark arts to quit.
@@hsokol "One, he hasn't received the goddamn Dark mark which means he HAS NOT become a Death Eater yet." Oh yes. You have the same ideals, use the same terms, pratice the same magic, but since you aren't an official member it's all good, even though join them as soon as you can. Yes, only having the essence of what it means to be a Death Eater is so much better than actually being a terorist. "Two, James wanted to assault Severus because Severus wanted to try to make peace with Lily" That never happened. This movie isn't canon. It actually completely disregards the canon. "Three, it's their fault that Severus aligned with the Death Eaters." Nope. The main reason why James and Sirius went after Snape was because he had the makings of a Death Eater from the very beginning. Snape walked that path all on his own. "They've been bullying him since their first meeting at Hogwarts Express" The guy said Slytherin was the way to go right in the middle of a war where a Slytherin in both blood and house was terrorizing everyone and the Slytherin was basically known as the house of dark wizards at that point. I think James' reaction was pretty normal. "their reasoning for bullying Severus was "it's just the fact that he exists"." Yes. He was into the dark arts, supported blood-supremacy, and coudln't even deny to Lily he was going to join Voldemort. Basically a symbol of everything James loathed in wizarding society. Synopsis of all of that? He exists. So, do you get the meaning of the phrase now? "he isn't an arrogant showing-off spoiled bullying brat as James and Sirius are" James and Sirius were like fred and george. Nowhere near as bad as you are painting them. "And still Lily chose James" James had let go of his troublemaking habits, to the point of becoming the headboy. It was this James Lily chose. "over Severus and thus betrayed him" Lily was no longer Snape's friend by that point. " humiliated Severus by hanging him upside down and everyone saw his greying underpants" Are you forgetting that it was Snape himself who created that spell in the first place when he was at Hogwarts? "she almost laughed" She has a momentary twitch in her mouth to a smile. Aside from that, she was full blown yelling at James. Yet you only look at smile that never even fully formed. Aren't we partial? "taking out her wand and helping her friend out by lifting the curse and attacking them for they had attacked her best friend " I highly advise you to reread that scene. Lily did take her wand out once she saw James wasn't leaving Snape alone. "He's suffered from the other people's prejudices against Slytherins and Dark wizards more than anyone in this story." When you want to be a Slytherin right in the middle of a war that is leaving Slytherin's image of evil in evidence, that prejudice is a bit inevitable.
I honestly like the way that this peter was, somewhat of an Oddball but Definetly a Marauder.they mess with him cause they respect him and he respect them... Too bad that he was too coward to stand for his friend

Yeah, I feel you have to be evil to get the full powers of anything.
But Snape IS strong. He's been creating his own freaking spells when he was a teenager, even non-verbal ones, and that's aside from the fact his main talent was actually potion making.

@@jordanrobinson9064, it actually very much is as it is extremely inacurate.
"then surely you know that the bullying was totally one-sided"
I have read the books and they do not show that at all. If anything, it is Snape who makes it look like that where he goes so far as saying he was ganged up on 4 v1, which with everything we know is clearly not true.
"James and Sirius calling Snape, “Snivellus” on a daily basis was proof enough"
No, that just proves they were indeed nasty to him, it doesn't prove at all Snape didn't do anything. The guy literally created a dark spell to slice James head off, which he used in SWM. Even after James changed and stopped hexing people for fun, Snape still went after him. Does this look like a one-sided relationship to you?
"Snape completely dismissed Lily’s perceived notion of heroism James displayed when he ‘supposedly’ saved him from being killed by Remus who was a experiencing lycanthropy, but in actuality he was doing it solely out of self-preservation!"
Yes, Snape dismissed that.

On top of that he is skilled at dueling in general and is a potions master. And on top of THAT can literally fly without the use of brooms or teleporting spells.

I think the only innacuracy is that in the books they said James grew out of that arrogance and picking stupid fights before graduating in Hogwarts.
Snape was a deatheater before this point. bullying a deatheater is good, Snape deserved it for aligning himself with dark wizards.
@@hsokol I agree with point one and two but I don’t think I was their fault he became a death eater. Let me remind you that even with everything Lily said he would not leave the group of dark wizards at Hogwarts. I feel like he is too keen to the dark arts to quit.

Oh yes. You have the same ideals, use the same terms, pratice the same magic, but since you aren't an official member it's all good, even though join them as soon as you can. Yes, only having the essence of what it means to be a Death Eater is so much better than actually being a terorist.
"Two, James wanted to assault Severus because Severus wanted to try to make peace with Lily"
That never happened. This movie isn't canon. It actually completely disregards the canon.
"Three, it's their fault that Severus aligned with the Death Eaters."
Nope. The main reason why James and Sirius went after Snape was because he had the makings of a Death Eater from the very beginning. Snape walked that path all on his own.
"They've been bullying him since their first meeting at Hogwarts Express"
The guy said Slytherin was the way to go right in the middle of a war where a Slytherin in both blood and house was terrorizing everyone and the Slytherin was basically known as the house of dark wizards at that point. I think James' reaction was pretty normal.
"their reasoning for bullying Severus was "it's just the fact that he exists"."
Yes. He was into the dark arts, supported blood-supremacy, and coudln't even deny to Lily he was going to join Voldemort. Basically a symbol of everything James loathed in wizarding society. Synopsis of all of that? He exists. So, do you get the meaning of the phrase now?
"he isn't an arrogant showing-off spoiled bullying brat as James and Sirius are"
James and Sirius were like fred and george. Nowhere near as bad as you are painting them.
"And still Lily chose James"
James had let go of his troublemaking habits, to the point of becoming the headboy. It was this James Lily chose.
"over Severus and thus betrayed him"
Lily was no longer Snape's friend by that point.
" humiliated Severus by hanging him upside down and everyone saw his greying underpants"
Are you forgetting that it was Snape himself who created that spell in the first place when he was at Hogwarts?
"she almost laughed"
She has a momentary twitch in her mouth to a smile. Aside from that, she was full blown yelling at James. Yet you only look at smile that never even fully formed. Aren't we partial?
"taking out her wand and helping her friend out by lifting the curse and attacking them for they had attacked her best friend "
I highly advise you to reread that scene. Lily did take her wand out once she saw James wasn't leaving Snape alone.
"He's suffered from the other people's prejudices against Slytherins and Dark wizards more than anyone in this story."
When you want to be a Slytherin right in the middle of a war that is leaving Slytherin's image of evil in evidence, that prejudice is a bit inevitable.

I’ve been dying to see some young snape content, loved him kicking ass in the 4 v 1, wish you had the budget and rights for a full on film, this is as good/better a quality as anything coming out of Hollywood
I love how when they were circling snape chanting, lupin didn't join in. Remus is the only sensible one of the group

Yes, Remus is sensible, and Peter is just weak.
Honestly, Lupin really tried to hold back. Lupin shouldn’t be so hated.
He's my favourite of the Marauders actually. I love how he is the wisest one of them.
Yeah, my favourite too. I just think he cherished his friends so much for, well, being his friends, that he often couldn't bear going against them, even if their actions didn't align with his principles. Imagine a boy like him, always either stigmatized or looked down with pity, suddenly finding those guys. He never would have risked losing them, even if he had to do things he wasn't not proud of sometimes.
@@citroncaviar yes.. besides, I think he actually loved them. Yes, he was a werewolf, he only had the Marauders as friends, but I think he also obeyed them because they were his friends. But you're right. He appreciated them being his friends :") naw, I suddenly felt a bit sorry for Remus

Hats off to everyone involved in making this film. The cast, the story and the effects were all amazing! I sincerely hope that J.K. Rowling watches these fan films and gives credit where it’s due. This was so well done it should be canon for sure. 👏👏👏👏👏

No it shouldn't. This film completely disregards the canon.
Snape’s actor in this later transitioned so I really hope she doesn’t for everyone’s sake.

And he ONLY enabled by sitting by mutely, and obviously outta gratitude for his friends. He never joined in and James would have known better than to ask.

The Marauders was probably the most humanized aspect of Hogwarts in the series. A bunch of legacies misrepresenting themselves and their families while attending Hogwarts. So much individual potential wasted due to having toxic friendship group. Love how you brought the human side out of Snape which was overlooked often. 👏👏👏👏👏
Voldemort did not look that bad at the time. According to the books, actually he was a very handsome man, like his father.
He became ugly only after he got a new body, many years later.
Anyway very good movie! :)
The Red Pill yeah he didn’t lookclose to being the snakey voldemort but he was not the old handsome Tom Riddle
