two months later Asmongold is making mukbang videos.
So from what I know, Asmongold grew up poor or at least without a lot of money so he ate $2 steaks and he found a way to make them to be delicious to him. After blowing up and becoming a millionaire he still eats those steaks because they were delicious and good enough for him then, why aren’t they good enough now.

His reasoning is if he starts to eat and enjoy expensive steaks, then he will continue to eat expensive steaks. This changes nothing in his life except he has to pay more money for steaks and spend more time preparing them because at this moment he already enjoys his simple $2 steak.

All you need to understand is that Asmongold, like any true gamer, cooks to optimize the ratio of time-and-effort against consumable-calories-needed-to-survive that specifically befits his local habitat. To maximize available time and energy left for gaming , of course. Use as few dishes, surfaces, cutlery etc as possible to avoid time spent cleaning, and reuse things as long as you can, as waste needs cleaning eventually, maybe, theoretically. Hi Asmon.

First time commenting, I love Guga's videos and have been watching for years ( the reason my fiancé gave me a meat budget for our wedding because how much inspiration he gave me.) and I love Asmon, he really got me out of a dark time with how honest he his and just as an individual just seems very wholesome. I'm glad a creator crossover of some kind happened.

While I would LOVE to see Asmon on an episode of Guga Foods where they lavish him with the best steaks known to man, I feel like it's virtually impossible that it will ever happen simply because Asmon HATES to travel so I can't see him traveling to Miami for this. Guga traveling to Texas on the other hand...
I'm so surprised you watched this. I've been trying to get Asmongold to watch one of your videos after he put this out, but well he never had. I'd love to see a Guga + Asmongold collaboration. I don't remember if he said it in the video, but he has a reason for cooking basically everything well overdone. He grew up rather poor and he got food poisoning a number of times from under cooked food, not just meat but food in general, so its kind of a phobia for him so he basically just overcooks everything to avoid it. He also put out a Pizza video more recently, and other than being way overcooked is actually really good. It's cheap and pretty easy.
I know teccy talks about how he loves watching Guga’s videos too. Would be dope to get Guga and some of OTK collab. Imagine him pulling up on Nicks stream lmao

hahaha Asmongold is hilarious. he just doesnt care what anyone thinks, he does things his way, and he's happy with it. probably the reason he's not 350lbs+ is because his diet is mostly steak and potatoes. i eat a lot of steak too, not every day, but i absolutely would if i could. since seeing the guga steak, thats the only way i cook mine now. i get a big slab of meat, cut my own steaks (at least 1" thick) and season them overnight, then cook them medium rare. i paired it with stir fried asparagus once, and that meal almost brought me to tears it was so delicious, and i made it myself. steak every day should be a thing that more people do, and if you want a treat, get a really nice tbone or something once a month.

I cooked the steak Asmongold made myself. It was not bad at all. Well seasoned and cooked above medium rare for me makes it an automatic 3/5. The flavor combo almost pushed it to a 4/5, but it needed a better kick so I left it at a 3/5.
It has finally happened... that collab will be legendary!

I’d say to bring Asmongold to your studio and have him eat your steaks but you would have to take it to the goblin layer to have a chance.
Josh says it’s a prison meal, but it’s legitimately superior to anything they fed us my entire life at school from kindergarten to a senior in high school. I’m really not exaggerating. We all would’ve been a lot healthier growing up eating this for lunch every day.
Yeah it shows you the mentality of the boujee people vs working class people. Our school food looks like dog food and we would have loved a steak like that. The only people who will survive if things go south is the people who can settle for "less"

@Guga we love Asmongold not for his culinary expertise (or obvious lack there of), but because he frequently is just a human and normal person with us.
Asmongold probably has a net worth more than double the combined net worth of Guga and Josh which is the hilarious part because he could easily buy expensive steaks but he doesn’t want to lol.
And the one time he wanted an upgrade by buying a new house. Someone else bought the house before he could.

Something worth considering is that while he’s a very successful streamer he is also extremely frugal. The man lived with his mom until she passed, inherited the house and still lives there, rarely goes anywhere, and refuses to spend money unless he absolutely has to.
I think his steak actually looks great and I totally understand why he says that he doesn't want to like streak. He is obviously making the whole process more entertaining than a normal cooking show and it only makes it better.

Guga I have a couple ideas for videos - test different priced meat thermometers, or test rested vs unrested steaks and see if Angel and Leo can tell the difference
You two should replicate the steak, try it for yourself then give it a rating. This steak genuinely changed the lives of people be it for better or worse.
For example, OniGiri had her brother taste a replica of Asmlongold's steak and one she made. Her brother chose the replica because it "hit the spot." There was no greater betrayal in the culinary world than that event. OniGiri was not only betrayed by her own sibling but her soul was shattered and the fragments banished to the shadow realm. I genuinely believed I was witnessing her villain origin story in real time.
Well it could probably only change the lives of people who would burn water while cooking.

The mentality of boujee people who think fancy is better vs practicality. I remember when i was taken in back in 2017 at 22 years old due to being homeless and I felt so lucky to eat a steak like that. I still look back on that time fondly because i was in a different state, isolated from family because I told them I didnt believe in the evangelical stuff anymore and afraid. But that person helped me get on my feet and independent again.

Asmongold is a multi-millionaire by the way. He owns multiple companies and has massive viewership on youtube and twitch.
That said, when he was little, he was on the poorer side, so his life was simple and he grew up eating garbage american diet. He even lost a bunch of teeth due to drinking too much soda. So if he likes simple well done shoe steak with a potato, he keeps it cheap and simple like that.
He doesnt care much about what people think of him, and he does whatever the heck he wants.

I feel this so hard; decided to treat myself so I got a nice NY strip, and have done with prime ribeye also. I usually just cook those cheap eye of round steaks- was so sad going back. 😂
Bottom line is if you spent $120 on a wagyu steak and rate it 10/10 and asmongold rates his 10/10 and he's only out $2, he's better off at the end of the day being the same amount of happy for a fraction of the cost.
Asmongold is literally a millionaire, he can afford spending a little more money to make something other than steaks he keeps in his sink. Not to mention the copious amounts of fast food and junk food he eats.
