My Son passed a little over a year ago at 29 from Cancer. Has been into building and competing in shows for about 5 years. He moved in with me to work with me a few years ago and found out he was on black market steroids. Not sure what he was taking but couple years later he was gone. No idea how long he had been on them he was a college wrestler and they kept pushing him to move up to unhealthy weight class to fill heavyweight position. I raised hell with the coach and he backed off he knew what he had coming lol. Son moved on from wrestling to get focus on building and pro competition. Our young men need leadership and only so much parents can do as they seek out influences outside of the home but ultimately its up to them to choose the life they desire. Ive been bodybuilding for the last 10 years with breaks for other endeavors and a nasty relapse w alcoholism. I wouldnt consider steroids as I accept my limitations and either Im blessed genetically or just put in the work and make healthy decisions but at 49 I continue to be in the best shape of my life! Praying for these young people to love themselves and see a bigger picture. But if thats what you want by all means knock yourself out! Rest easy Jr! 🙏✊❤

For someone who had a lot of passion for training, it's normal to consider it an option, but I was always conscious about my life and health. My education was always focused on health, not beauty. I've never used steroids, and I'm happy with my choice. I had an accident 5 years ago and have been inactive since then. I want to start training again, and your video came at the right time. It’s an inspiration for many people. Being natural is being happy, it’s being healthy-that's what really matters throughout life. @@juliusfahlbusch3168 The way social media feeds are engineered, will often target your insecurities. The way we consume media is often negative focused, or basically risk aversion. Rather than viewing positive things, you're more likely to view things you AREN'T or that you can't achieve etc. You're slowely feeding yourself unrealistic goals and over times your views get warped. It's never a quick process and usually takes a bit of time, but it's insanely effective and it's why social media can be so ridiculousely lucrative.
Especially impressionable teenagers, they are already insecure in who they are, they're trying to find themselves in the world, so they're really easy to convince. Yesterday I saw a very sad scenario that I don’t wish on anyone. A man in his late 40’s in a hospital room, after having a stroke, and his wife next to him. This guy is my husband’s buddy from his men’s Bible study group, and we went to visit him at the hospital. His poor wife was by his side taking care of him, cleaning the drool and the tears off his face, because right now he can’t move his arms good enough for that. Yesterday he was finally mumbling, last week he wasn’t even able to talk. The nurse was telling him that he needs to start practicing swallowing his saliva again, while he still has the tube of the tracheotomy attached to his neck. Thank God this couple doesn’t have kids, if they did, the kids would probably be high schoolers by now, or even older. It really broke my heart, and I started crying when we left the hospital. I made my husband promise that we would start to exercise more and eat healthier, because I don’t think I can be as strong as that woman and see the man I love go through all that. That’s to avoid the normal risk of heart disease or stroke, without even adding steroids, and increasing that chance - especially at a younger age. My husband’s friend is a healthy guy, healthy weight, he used to run daily.
Like Will said, your priorities will change as you get older. Right now you don’t have a partner and you want to look strong and fit, but when you find that someone (because you will), then you won’t want to die early and leave them alone. Even worse, if you increase your chances of disease, you will likely have a lot of health complications that your loved one(s) will have to endure with you, before you whither away. It’s not like the young man said, that you live healthy until your 70, instead of dying of old age at 90. Chronic diseases eat up your quality of life, one day at a time. Not worth it, guys.

Sometimes for monetary reasons. When you’re jacked, you’ll more likely gain more followers on social media. More people are gonna buy your workout programs. You’ll have a better chance of getting a sponsor like gymshark and some supplement brand.
And like it or not, being jacked means that you’ll be perceived as having more credibility when it comes to fitness and exercise. Who do you think more people would listen to for fitness advice? A skinnyfat natty who has a PhD in sports science, or a jacked dude with 3d delts and an 8 pack abs?

2 workouts a day, committed to diet and sleep and bought my first Ana, went straight to my gym partner and got humiliated, so grateful for this. Wasted all of that and never looked back.
Had a breakup coming year and left gym completely.
Today, I'm still perfectly fit with no gym for prolly 6+ years and those who were on roids in my gym either looks bad as possible or no longer alive.
I have seen so many people not even reaching their 40s and that's more than enough for me to say NO to it for rest of my life.

I’m 19 myself and I was close to take steroids not too long ago. I already informed myself about what to take and already looked at studies and even had them in my shopping card at one point. Social media is not so much the problem that it influences me directly, it’s much more the people around me who think you have to be 220 pounds lean and jacked. I’m much more confident taking my shirt off but people saying “you skinny” or “this and that guy is so much bigger and better then you” really hurt when you hear it too often cause I’m really giving my best.

Bro if you take for 70 years you're not going to get close to that age, and if not, then you're not trading strength for age, as when you stop, you're not really stronger when your hormones do not help you anymore. It's crazy that so many steroid users rationalize because they imagine they are gonna live for 100 years without, and steroids will only take a couple of "bad" years off in the end of their life, bro that's not how it works, getting a blood clot in the brain at 27, dying from liver or kidney failure at 32, or getting a massive heart attack at 44 is not anything like you imagine now is it? Waking up from a coma at 34 to live the rest of your life as a vegetable with major brain damage is not like this..

it's that simple FOR SOME people, i responded extremely well to lifting when i was younger, but i saw waaaaaaaaay too many people who didn't respond well to training and i could totally see them getting on steroids just to see SOMETHING happen to their body

@@notimportant3686 I agree that everyone is different, but I also say that everyone needs to find what works for them. I'm 61 and have been working out inconsistently my whole life. Only NOW am I seeing progress because I am being more consistent with minimal workouts and better nutrition. My goal is to be healthy first, the benefit of that is looking great.
I look better now than I ever have. In my younger years I was tempted by steroids because I wasn't willing to put the work into it as much as it required, but never crossed that line. I still think, "Should I? I probably won't live long enough to suffer the side effects, but it could kill me faster".

If you take test from a young enough age(before 30 at least) your balls will shrivel up and your body will stop telling the testes glands to produce testostorone naturally. Some people may have to take external testostorone for their entire lives and struggle with erectile dysfunction. Dont fucking take test unless your doctor says you need it.
