I absolutely LOVE the Panigale V4 SP2 (it just looks so sexy, like the old 848 Evo); however, I settled on a fully loaded 1000RR... It is over 10k cheaper easily (or like 18K cheaper if you include the titanium race exhaust for the v4 SP2)... it's just a no-brainer decision when it comes to the value proposition.
I LOVED the power, exclusivity, beauty and feel of my '22 Ducati V4 base, yet I HATED the heat. So much that I sold it and bought a '23 S1000RR with M package, tech package and carbon package (like you showed in this video). That was my 4th Ducati, so I was very familiar with the brand and I had a 1199 for 5 years. I just could not deal with the heat anymore.
I considered all presented aspects tested both and yes I chose the Bm , carbon wheels and adds i removed the cat an tuned the engine making her an extremely aggressive animal, and i love her to bits. I didn’t choose panigale because it was extremely hot , burning plus extremely uncomfortable and not so easy to handle, no fuel gauge.,, I have another 2 bikes a ktm and a naked. Cb1000r 22 model honda. So 1 of 3 most important bikes types for me . A super sport a relatively comfy naked and a off-road
Well done! Your analysis sounds exactly right to me. I live in Dallas, Texas and right now the temperature is 106 F (41.1 C) and that's too hot for the Ducati. If I had to pick one motorcycle in the world to look at all day it would be the Panigale!
Love to see someone make a comperason between a s1krr 2012-2014 vs 2020-2023, is it worth to double the price og get a older one with Allready aftermarket parts? The newer models needs to be tuned to have the right output due to the cat ect, thoughts?
Thank you for this, I’m in the market for a new sport bike to get a 1000cc machine before they are all gone forever. No doubt between these two titians!! I have a hard choice ahead of me because I love daily riding, but riding weather is only 4-5 months tops where I live. I don’t think I could go wrong in either case which only makes my decision that much harder. What appeals to me on the BMW is I can spect it sky high on a s1000rr and still come out at a lower price point than the Pangale V4. That said the character of the Ducati weighs heavily on me. I’m so torn. 💯
Great review. I agree that the BMW wins, and hopefully, we will see this in the fact of more bmw being seen on the roads and chosen. It's for that fact. I've just bought my Ducati Penigale 😂😂.
Just chopped in my Panigale 1199 for a new S1000RR. I can honestly say I will never ever ever ever buy another Ducati. Whoever says Ducati reliability and build quality is now ‘no longer an issue’ clearly dont own a Ducati
I'd get the panigale if money wasn't an issue, it's literally a ferrari on 2 wheels and a head turner. But my brain would pick the S1K. It's almost half the price for nearly the same performance in every single way.
BMW design has actually more beautiful lines and has better silhouette in my opinion. But unfortunately, they destroy it with too much decals. Much like Honda is doing to their CBR. It cheapens the look of the bike.
In my country s1000rr cost 20% more than the Ducati and I still won’t get the panegali I just drop my Ducati for bmw and riding experience NO doubt bmw won Am getting thr RR soon
BMW Motorcycles are away better options for 2 huge factors on this dispute; liability, durability, 2-services costs . 2 two destroy any Ducati out there. German engineering are far more superior e durable than Italian engineering. Without question. 2024 BMW come wit 3 years warranty.
La Ducati es muy linda pero calienta demasiado nada cómoda yo tube una v4 sp y la vendí muy linda pero nunca la pude disfrutar y a hora compre una bmw s 1000rr súper cómoda nada que ver con la Ducati la bm sin duda
Those who are familiar with the bmw , you always get more power than what’s on paper so if you think that it’s slower then the Ducati your in for a big surprise, looks can be subjective and in terms of technology bmw wins it hands down
Blowing engine or damage it u can't .what on paper or ecu factory that the way it as far bmw to make faster u killing engine. In case of v4 it monster out box simple slip on akra up map u pushing 208 to wheel. Bmw never be plus top end on v4 way more then anything out .had and rode s 1000rr fast as any Japanese bike but not v4 fast . The only one can come close is aprilia rsv4 1100 maybe.
Put a deposit in a S1000RR should be here in august. Thanks for making me feel good on my decision!
Ducati are really great bikes but they just run so damn hot, there for I went with BMW

Perfect timing because I’m in the market and was on the fence between the two , looks like I’m sticking with the S1K 💯
5:37 stats shown on screen is wrong. 1103 cc 215.5 ps (212.5 hp) 123.6 nm torque.

I agree with this vid but I will stick with my V4S and get another before I get an S1000RR
05:35. Your graphics are wrong.
Panigale 1199R is the most beautiful ducati for me 👍🏻
I agree, I owned one for 5 years. It did, however, have quite a rattle. One would say it had a "visceral" feel.....

I had it all german,Japanese .but now I own 23 panigale v4 it straight up homicidal bike 😂
Your buying name with Ducati. Unless you are track only bmw wins hands down. That's why I bought one
🎉congratulations 🎊. I just got the Zx10r. Next bike will be s1k.
Yep agree
Ducati eats s1k in looks and sound anyday
The S1000rr will not gonna even smell this V4 on the street😂
Only in ur dreams the S1000rr will win against the V4s or even against the standard V4

New ones are faster and lighter and have more tech. More expensive to fix if they break. But taking that factor out, new ones win in every category
Very nice review!

Hope one day I will own a s1000rr❤
I like the bmw s1000rr
bmw should make a sexier tail-end
Thanks
HOPE SOON I HAVE THIS BIKE 🙏
Imagine BMW was RED, then you compare their looks. 🍻
Panigale all day
Ducati for me
Ducati the most overrated brand, and spends the most time in a shop just ask 650ib 😅
In my country s1000rr cost 20% more than the Ducati and I still won’t get the panegali I just drop my Ducati for bmw and riding experience NO doubt bmw won

BMW has a huge flat spot between 4-7000 rpm. I think Ducati wins this shoot out
Not in Europe.

8 GRAND FOR AN EXHAUST WTFFFFFF
More like $1000. The other $7k gets pocketed into the CEO's bonuses. Raw titanium stock is extremely cheap.
Bavarian meesyiaele 😂
V4s looks alittle better BUT sounds gayy af
Youll grow out of that phase
Seriously..the BMW out of factory sounds like a leaf blower. The V4 S looks way better and sounds better stock.
