Hey guy! I want to make a correction about the amount of shortening and sugar used. Instead of 1/4 cup of shortening I used 1/3 cup of shortening and 1-2 tbsp of sugar. I also said plain self rising flour 🤦🏾♀️Sorry guys but when you have some many recipes and ingredients bouncing around in your head you’re bound to mistake something. Please forgive all my mistakes today because I heard a lot if the as I watched it back.

However I was like your sister when it came to biscuits I didn’t want my hands all messy. Well I looked at this video several times went and brought my stuff and gurl I did it thanks to you. I got up early quiet house nothing but the birds signing and me praying. Those biscuits came out so good not as pretty as yours were but that foundation sound. I had me a good egg and bacon biscuit. I love the desserts you cook. This was a recipe that bring back memories of my childhood when my momma made biscuits, cobblers, donuts, cakes dumplings (blueberry) and the like. Thank you. I will make this recipe per your instructions.
I had never seen the weevils before until I moved to an apartment and thought it because insects were there. But, I read an article that said to freeze the flour for 48 hours when purchased. This seems to have worked because I don't seem them afterwards.
I know weevils has been around for years and years… but not like I seen here lately.. sometimes is not right 😉 I believe it is a to long storage situation is going on… because it came from the grocery unopened with the weevils. Thanks for the freezer tip I already know about it.. but that’s a preventative method when you don’t use much flour that often…example: you keep a 5lbs bag of longer than a month or two. Thanks for watching but something just not right 😇🥰🙏🏾

They're so good with sausage gravy! I was born in 1953 and I'm thinking you and me grew up around the same time! Things you could buy at the store was better back then before all these ole preservatives were put in stuff like nowadays. Guess what, I'm going to make me some drop biscuits right now for my lunch. Mama always put her blackberry cobbler in the stove to cook off the dumplings. She would drop the dumplings on the stove and cook them in the oven. She would sprinkle sugar on top throw them dumplings in the oven and when the dumplings on top were brown pull them out cause they were done!!!
