Mrs. Mae Mae, I have never had Sweet Potato Souffle. It looks so delicious and could just eat it by itself. Thank you Jesus, you did not have a severe allergic reaction to that wasp or bee sting. I was going to say, rub some wet tobacco from a cigarette and place it on top of the sting. That is an old school remedy and its works. No more pain or swelling. I never found a sweet potatoes thanksgiving dish (no marshmallows sweet potatoes for me) in my life. Until 2000, when Ms. Mary made a sweet potato soufflé for a church small group thanksgiving meal. It was like eating a sweet potato pie with your meal (I love sweet potato pie! Not a fan of pumpkin pie - always give me sweet potato pie). Now I make it every year for thanksgiving. Yum!

I had 9 sisters and 5 brothers, we've lost 1 sister and 1 brother, we're blessed 🙏. My oldest brother is 76 and oldest sister is 74 , younger brother is 55, so there's a lot of us in between. I just found your channel tonight. I love sweet potato soufflé. My grandma used to make this all the time but she would at a little cinnamon and nutmeg in it. With marshmallows on top. Can you do a video on how to make a egg custard? My grandma has since passed and she used to cook it also.

I had it at a restaurant and loved it, never made it but I'm saving your recipe to make some of my own. Did you coat the dish bottom with something or poured the mixture in a dry dish?
None of our food is as nutritious & delicious as it used to be. As for the butter, I grew up on a farm & can answer that. It's the result of decades of industry farming. Dairy cows aren't fed the same way as they used to be even when they are suppose to be organic. Also, a cow is a mammal same as us, they only lactate when they have a we babe to nurse. But the dairy industry takes their calves right away for the veal production. Because of this we have dairy cows that are pumped full of antibiotics & hormones but also they are depressed and anxious, that effects the production & flavor as well. Kinda like with Lobster. My uncle is a waterman. Always buy your lobster right from the boat when you can. Thy are solitary creatures. When put in a tank with others they are stressed from the capture and constantly stressed from being in the tank with others so they are constantly in fight mode. It effects the flavor AND texture of the meat. You want REAL butter the closest we can come to it is get heavy cream and beat it yourself with the mixer. For sweater butter you can do the same with cool whip. It ain't like it used to be but it's better. The closest I have found to what my gran used to churn is Kerrygold Irish Butter but it's so expensive I only get it for the holidays
