I just want to be adopted. My grandmother and great aunts are gone, but when I watch you cook, it reminds me of being in the kitchen with them. I am willing to catch a plane, attend Sunday service, then head to auntie Mae Mae's for Sunday dinner 💜🙂!

My husband wasn't home last night when I watched this, so I showed him this afternoon and this was his reaction... "Oh my gosh! That looks like grandma's chicken right there! Umm UMM! Makes my mouth water." It was something that would have made you laugh.

Mrs.Mae Mae, oh my goodness you made me sooo hungry . I fry my chicken 🍗 completely done just like you chop my onions 🧅 small too , use those drippings browned that flour completely. Sometimes I use chicken broth if I have it if not I just use water. I was waiting on you to cook that pot of rice and maybe make some good old grape Kool-Aid just like when I was a little girl.NYE when you cut that chicken 🍗 open!! my mouth just watered wish I could have been in your kitchen to eat it and sop that good ole gravy.Keep cooking ole school , always the best that’s why I love watching the older cooks we do it more towards the way our Mom’s did and Lords knows you can’t go wrong . Thanks for making it known that you don't need 30 different seasonings, spices and liquids to flavor food. You want to enhance not change the flavor. I just love your style! I learned a few things that I'll be putting into good use. Looks delicious.
I have never had chicken gravy with onions in it, but that looks SO good! I can practically smell it! When I first started learning to cook, my aunt (whom I was staying with at the time) asked me to go put some water in the peas so they wouldn't dry out. I was exhausted from my first day at my first job, which was at a Sunbeam factory. I was groggy and poured the water in the frying pan where my aunt was frying chicken for supper! Then she came into the kitchen and started laughing when she saw what I had done! It upset me so much because I thought I had ruined supper! She said not to worry, that she would just make some gravy, then put the chicken over in it to finish cooking! Ever since, that's the way I love to eat my chicken! But I've never eaten chicken gravy with onions in it! You can bet, however, that I will be making it this way next time I fry my chicken!!!
