Hi sweet peanut butters! I know I will get a lot of questions in the comments about outfit sources so wanted to tackle that here! Every single thing is linked in the video description! Lots of items were thrifted or purchased years ago, so I tried to link to second-hand stores, or similar items when needed. Lots of items appear in multiple outfits, so if you like the purse from Outfit 6 but don't see it listed there, it may be listed in Outfit 2! etc...(UA-cam limits how much text i can put in the description, so I ran out of room to do redundant linking). Some of the sites I used for second-hand shopping include FWRD, Shopbop, ThredUp, Depop, and Goodwill. Thanks for letting me share this one, was kind of a nerve-wracking one, but so much fun :) Happy styling and happy summer!😍
Love this video!!! As always, you are so relatable and I love that you always stay true to your own style. I LOVED the striped sweater you were wearing in your last video - may I ask where that one's from?
Sweet Caroline, I'm one of your "grandma viewers" and I thought that all the outfits were great. What I really enjoyed was your usual fun and quirky presentation. Your antics always brighten my day.
I'm 69 and I LOVE that sweater with the body con set...beautiful colors! If you put a rubber band at the cuff of the sleeves and roll the sweater sleeves up a little to cover the rubber band the sleeve will stay up when you push it up....pushed up sleeves are my thing too. You're cute in everything!
I appreciate the like marginal discussion about sustainability even though it's not your whole brand. I think it helps make it all that more approachable and normal to organize one's life in ways that help us consume less. Like love that you talk about it and love that it's not your only thing!
I'm shocked about you being insecure about your personal fashion style because I clicked the first video of yours that I watched precisely because I thought "this girl is telling me about the problem with interior design and about how my house is a mess and she looks like she has taste" and I've stayed watching since! Yes! I'm a sucker for Joe Fresh at Superstore. I hate going out to shop, I hate leaving my house, I hate driving to the mall. But I have to go to the grocery store, sooooo.......
You are born for crop tops, they look so good on you, they are a bold choice just because very few women over 18 can pull them so perfectly. There is something very 90s about your wardrobe and it suits you. All the outfits you wear in the Instagram pics (especially with Justin in them) are sooo perfect! The white romantic crop top with a long skirt (there is a bus in one of those photos), that was beyond adorable. The green dress and the coral lipstick to die for, the blue and white dress with the blue shoes, adorable. Please, wear that beautiful dress with the cropped mid section (the garden party dress), such a great fit for you...I loved the cute French girl combination in this video, and since you mentioned the French girl style, I have a recommendation. I usually hate French style videos because they are a kind of caricature of the real thing, but Diane from the channel Unblah yourself has the best video on the topic with really great insights and outfits. So, it's really cool that you made this video, hope we see an autumn version later on. ❤
aw yeah i guess i try to dress up the parts that make me feel more confident, and happily gloss over the parts that i dont feel as confident about. it's taken a lot to figure that out weirdly? but i think it applies to pretty much everyone!

i know my mom said she learned to sew her clothes because it was cheaper than buying when she was young and low on cash. it really bums me out that sewing is no longer very affordable. i cry every time i go into a fabric store. if you have tips, please share
I learned to sew from my mom, who used to make my clothes too. I had to go to 4-H classes for it too. I find that actually now it's best to just alter thrifted/charity shop or quality clothes to fit you, like if I find a pair of of trousers too long i hem them myself, or if a dress is too revealing I alter it...also repair a lot of clothes myself and kids costumes etc, a basic sewing machine and some hand sewing skills goes a long way, life skills kiddo ❤
@@Caroline_Winkler when i go thrifting i always looks for clothes that have a fabric i love and could make smt out of ! Also buying used sheets and other beeding stuff which gives you way more fabric to work with than clothes

aw im glad! i filmed this whole video before i even knew that Bombas would be a sponsor. (if you watch the bombas sponsorship bit may notice that it's filmed on a different day, the flower vase on the floor is missing). So a fun fashion vibe was the point of this video, and just an added bonus that Bombas came through with the sponsor, because i think it was the perfect fit for the video!
Every time I watch one of your videos I notice your outfits, and every time I am like "She is so cute, she is so Caroline." So maybe even if it doesn't feel like you have a distinct style I think that people can feel it and they know that you're being true to yourself
Canadians shooketh when they heard Joe Fresh. Joe Fresh is like a Walmart brand for our equivalent of a Walmart Supercentre called the Real Canadian Superstore. Their clothes are really solid though (but definitely fast fashion so I'm glad the dress got additional life through thrifting)
That black top with the open back is great! My favorite top ever has an interesting back, I need more of those. Oh, and take up knitting, trust me. You can make whatever you want and it's very satisfying, also a good excuse to linger in coffee shops for hours.
im so glad u enjoy it! it's not a big loss actually, luckily. a subscriber once commented that i should check out Lickd - and you pay maybe $15 per month as a subscription, and then a one-time $50 for a hit song like Espresso. So it's not costing me my retirement fund, and it makes the videos so fun
I'm glad you figured that out Caroline cos I remember when you did the gym video you said you couldn't monetise because of it which was sad. And it does make the videos so fun!
I totally get you loving to listen to people‘s internal monologue on outfits, sometimes I put on fashion vids only for the background chat without looking at the outfits at all, lol
Came here to say that Bombas actually does walk the walk. I’m an ER nurse and I ALWAYS see unhoused patients wearing Bombas👏🏻👏🏻 Also you can just tell that they are waaaaay better quality than what they usually have access to🥲
@@Caroline_Winkler I'm there for the oversized Adidas hoodie with my (also pretending I know how to play) tennis skirt and cute shoes. BTW I'm buying some Bombas to go with!! 🧦 Where do you buy your white tees? You always have the best fit and they look cute with anything!
“like you can hear my eyeshadow” 😂😂 too funny. so random that you had something from Joe Fresh! it’s always a dangerous time grocery shopping at Loblaws cuz there do be cute stuff at Joe Fresh ☺️
I love your style. It's current without feeling trendy. It's youthful and fun and stupidly cute. The Anthropologie Mary Janes are fire! I need some. 😃 The cardigan around the neck needs to be a super-light knit, not a chunky knit. Love the long fitted skirts and, just like home decorating, mixing textures is always a great move. My biggest wish for you is that you figure out sooner than later to just lean into what jazzes your world and don't worry about what anyone else is thinking. Like, for real, don't worry. Like, it doesn't even cross your mind. Like that. The older you get, the more you'll feel it; I just hope you find a way to feel it sooner so you can just relax and enjoy this lifetime.
these outfits are delightful and so is the vibe of this video in general. love to see you confidently rocking what you wear, especially after hearing on the podcast how people's comments about your clothes can really get to you. keep doing your thing girl, you look great ❤
I love seeing other people's style! Please make another one for fall! I also struggle to spend money on clothes that make me feel good - it feels so frivolous and wasteful but when I do and I go out in a cute outfit I feel like a million bucks!
This is genuinely the type of entertainment I needed today, THANK YOU!!!! ❤️❤️ I loved your point about choosing to wear your nicer things everyday just because
“I might beat you up but then afterwards I’ll take you to a picnic” I think that right there is the defining statement. I think you just encapsulated your entire “brand” in one hilarious phrase. You may need to have that cross stitched onto a picnic blanket and a hoodie for the same outing. And I do mean cross stitched. In fun colours. For that Grandma meets gangsta meets club girlie vibe. I am so here for the Caroline Fashion Edit. Your instincts have not been letting you down. Thank god you’re not obsessed with trends because then we’d be missing out, big time. I applaud the desire to break out of the DC low key aesthetic. I live in a small Canadian city. I felt ridiculous showing up to school pick up in my oversized blazer and band t shirt and baggy boyfriend jeans because I stood out so very much from the yoga pants and uggs/trainers … and then I stopped caring and I’ve never been happier with my clothes lol.
DCer here, I wear ALL the things. I love your "flashy" skirt and believe it is very DC appropriate because I fully encourage people being and doing whatever they want. It's super cute and I say wear whatever you want!!
that first skirt i think you wore in a video many months ago and it inspired me to get it and i love it (as someone who also feels too old to shop at american eagle) also, if you enjoy planning outfits i love using an app, i use whering but also theres indyx, where you can log your clothes, create outfits, track cost per wear, etc. and i find it really useful to see what i actually like wearing! its also just fun to plan outfits that way
Joe Fresh is a clothing line found in Loblaws grocery stores in Canada. It is definitely fast fashion, and was linked to some very unfortunate factories in Bangladesh, for which the company got lots of heat. It blew over. We ALL wear a bit of Joe Fresh up here and I’m actually wearing a years old dress right now. It’s my house dress I sometimes wear out.
Caroline outfit #3 is adorable and looks so good on you!! I love the combination of the tight fitting with the loose fitting. Definitely will use this as future outfit inspo!
The first dress is adorable! I usually tie sweaters over one soulder and then under the armpit (ish) - so diagonally rather then over the shoulders. Maybe that feels better looks wise
I can relate to your relationship with clothes very much! (Even if maybe for totally different reasons...) :D I mostly wore my brothers clothes growing up, because they fit me and it wasn't really that big of a deal to me how I looked in them back then. I never hated these clothes, on the contrary. I remember really liking them. But with puberty in the late 2000s and the internet - and being very much into tumblr - of course, this took a turn. Since then I really didn't know what I was doing clothing-wise. I almost never went out to buy something. Only, if there was something I REALLY needed. And if I did, second hand seemed to be my only option. Not because I didn't like anything. I just didn't know where to start and anything I already had and liked enough seemed safer than trying something else. It became kind of my style in a way to always show up everywhere quite underdressed. Even when I started making more money, that didn't change... Long story short: Thanks to some UA-camrs I watched the last couple months I managed to get a hold of myself and did a really thorough wardrobe "clear-out". I know a lot more about clothing and materials now and what to buy to get me where I wanna be, to make me feel confident in the clothes I am wearing... :) I hope, this essay isn't tmi. :D Anyways: I had a lot of fun watching your video!
This video was so much fun and I didn’t want it to be over! You are adorable and I love your style. Personal style isn’t about wearing what’s “cool”. Great job!
You are so cute and hilarious! I love your wicked sense of humor! Hey I'm 67 and have reached the age where I wear whatever the hell I want. I just don't care what other people think. I worked in a professional public service job for 40 years and was so constrained to conservative clothes and suits. I feel a sense of freedom now and wear what makes me happy when I look in the mirror! TFS 😍
Haha Caroline after what you said about your headspace when making this vid in the pod, this is IMPRESSIVE!! 👀So much fun and its so nice to keep note of your favourite combos - I feel like 80 year old caroline will look back and be like hell yes I was so cute hahahaha thanks for sharing!
You know the awesome blue and white flowey dress, the one that was a bit matchy matchy with the shoes....my suggestion is - keep the matchy shoes (for something fancy, or wear sneakers for casual), leave your hair wilddddd and loose and then add the red purse. Voilà!
Also, please do bring NYC Caroline to D.C. don't let the conservative style culture bring you down. It'll actually make you feel MORE self-conscious if you try to fit in. It's better to err on the side of too fun or experimental, I think, in your case. Just cause then, you can have fun and not care if you get it "wrong". ❤
I’m 36 and I love American Eagle. Especially their jeans and a lot of their leggings. My algorithm knows it too and shows me exactly what I’ll like from them. So I go there to buy things for my 15 year old AND myself. 🥳
WOOHOOOOO i've wanted a Caroline outfits video for so long, i'm always a fan of them. letsgooooo! (and yes i actually have a photo album in my phone for outfits i liked the most in the week so i can look back on it...)
This is going to sound like a backhanded compliment but I am in complete earnest in saying the first outfit is giving updated Miss Honey from Matilda and I support it.
Your outfits are my favorite and so on point, I always take inspo from them because they reflect my personal style too. Caroline you just have taste in so many aspects of your life and I love to see people who have good taste executing it well🤭
i have to go make breakfast before i can watch but i am So excited about this upload, and even more so knowing what i know about the making of from the podcast 😂
Definitely wear what makes you happy, but also look into the Kibbe styling system. It's very helpful in marrying your personal style with what is flattering.
So happy to see a fashion video from you! I can relate so much to being made fun of and focusing on wearing what was cool when I finally had disposable income, then realizing I didn't like a lot of what I was buying. I feel like it's extra hard as a short person too because our options can be so limited, even with tailoring.
The best fashion is always what makes you feel confident and excited to wear it! In the summer on the east coast I'm personally a big fan of "dresses that touch me the least amount" because they feel so breezy in the heat.
When I first saw the thumbnail on my home page, I thought „damn, that is so cool. I‘ll subscribe just for this!“ - then I noticed it was you, who I‘ve been following for like a year! Amazing work, Caroline, it looks so cool!
I'm a 36 yo mom and the jeans struggle is real. It was hard enough when only skinnies were in style, but now I can't even figure out where to start now. It took a lot to get me to move from flares to skinnies in 2008, loved flares in high school, but now that skinnies are out and flares are back...I can't put flares back on without feeling 17 again in the worst way. I've always hated boot-cut, all my shirts work better with skinnies, but I want to feel cool again now that I'm exiting the frumpy baby-mom stage. But trying anything else makes me feel like Amy Pohler "I'm a cool mom" vibes. Can't win!
Best way to wear a sweater is cross body!! Tying it diagonally cuts your shape into triangles and makes the outfit more visually interesting :) love seeing your cool clothing pieces ! Thank you for sharing!!
First off I love your style and think you have an excellent sense of what works for you! I would be really curious to know your Kibbe body type because it might help you figure out the nuances of proportion (like whether that big white sweater is too big) because you have such a slight frame. The kibbe test is totally extremely involved and I know a lot of people don't have patience for it but I've found it SO helpful in defining my own style!
Also I lived in DC too and totally understand the whole conservative vibe and how it can be a damper on style 😩 holla to living in NYC where you can do anything!
I had a long fight with myself when I would sell all the summer clothes cause I had different style in winter and then I would bash myself for selling summer outfits once the summer is back. Untill one day I told myself: you have three styles actually. Autmun - I am English country, Ralph Lauren equestrian girl. Winter - I feel classic, clean straight forms. Spring and Summer - flirt, romantic, crotchet and lace.
Where did the paper dolls go?? That cover was making me super-summer happy. :) This video is a pure delight!! I've watched it so many times. Thank you!!!!

@@Caroline_Winkler It’s so worth the watch. I promise.
Came here to say that Bombas actually does walk the walk. I’m an ER nurse and I ALWAYS see unhoused patients wearing Bombas👏🏻👏🏻 Also you can just tell that they are waaaaay better quality than what they usually have access to🥲
Thank you for sharing this!! Great to hear 😊 I love their socks
I loved a lot of these looks. I like that you wear the
little red bag you thrifted a while ago.
You’re so fun to watch, never change, so many utubers start out so down to earth and funny, then get popular and change!
I relate to the lad mood! I've inherited my 13 year old son's wardrobe as he has grown, and let me tell you hun, it HITS!
hahaha it's no fun to have lad forced upon you. i hope he has some cute skirts
@@smeyer6960 her tees are from skins I believe. She might have a code from the previous video.
Your posing and facial expressions are harkening back to Zoolander and I love 💕🫶🏼
Those A&F jeans are heaven-sent omg
I’m a chronic spinster and I need the wife life sweatshirt omg. Your style is impeccable!
This is genuinely the type of entertainment I needed today, THANK YOU!!!! ❤️❤️ I loved your point about choosing to wear your nicer things everyday just because
J.C.Penney used to carry Joe Fresh. We need a part 2.
When my hair was longer (in my youth) I'd do the head flip for volume too.😉
“I might beat you up but then afterwards I’ll take you to a picnic”
I think that right there is the defining statement.
You need to film and provide narration of JUSTIN ‘s styles . You are incredible / so creative. 👕👖
Fab idea!
DCer here, I wear ALL the things. I love your "flashy" skirt and believe it is very DC appropriate because I fully encourage people being and doing whatever they want. It's super cute and I say wear whatever you want!!
that first skirt i think you wore in a video many months ago and it inspired me to get it and i love it (as someone who also feels too old to shop at american eagle)
also, if you enjoy planning outfits i love using an app, i use whering but also theres indyx, where you can log your clothes, create outfits, track cost per wear, etc. and i find it really useful to see what i actually like wearing! its also just fun to plan outfits that way
I'm a french girl living in France and I can assure you, we are wearing crop tops ! 😁
bless you and your people
Joe Fresh is a clothing line found in Loblaws grocery stores in Canada.
Not sure if someone already suggested this but to help with the cardigan draping, button up the sweater then drape it. It helps with those “wings”
bombas socks are genuinely so good. Glad ur partnering with them!
Caroline outfit #3 is adorable and looks so good on you!! I love the combination of the tight fitting with the loose fitting. Definitely will use this as future outfit inspo!
We are all here for your superb internal conversations. Let's go! =)
Absolutely 😅
I love cardigans too. I like to button a few buttons before putting it on my shoulders, it reduces the outta control bulk. ❤
The first dress is adorable! I usually tie sweaters over one soulder and then under the armpit (ish) - so diagonally rather then over the shoulders. Maybe that feels better looks wise
I can relate to your relationship with clothes very much! (Even if maybe for totally different reasons...) :D
I mostly wore my brothers clothes growing up, because they fit me and it wasn't really that big of a deal to me how I looked in them back then.
I hope, this essay isn't tmi. :D Anyways: I had a lot of fun watching your video!
This was one of my most fun videos to watch. It was like trying on clothes with a good friend. So random from you. I love it
This video was so much fun and I didn’t want it to be over!
👀So much fun and its so nice to keep note of your favourite combos - I feel like 80 year old caroline will look back and be like hell yes I was so cute hahahaha thanks for sharing!
haha thank youuuuu it was a struggle
i've had cardigan envy for so long, thank you for the links queen!!!
Buttoning the sweater before tying it around your shoulders helps!
outfit 10 pink cardigan and tartan skirt is bomb, best outfit
WOOHOOOOO i've wanted a Caroline outfits video for so long, i'm always a fan of them. letsgooooo! (and yes i actually have a photo album in my phone for outfits i liked the most in the week so i can look back on it...)
I absolutely looove the thumbnail 😂❤
i was so proud of it! thank you!
This is going to sound like a backhanded compliment but I am in complete earnest in saying the first outfit is giving updated Miss Honey from Matilda and I support it.
Honestly, second fit is giving Matilda from Matilda. Does flirty, classic, tyke = Matildacore?
hahha wait i LOVEDDDD MISS HONEY. i absolutely accept this backhanded compliment
That flower arrangement in the beginning is amaaazing
You're so cute and petite. It's good that you wear body conscious clothes that have a tailored fit. Adding one lose item gives it a classy finish.
Just the fact that you moved furniture to film this is so appreciated!
Your outfits are my favorite and so on point, I always take inspo from them because they reflect my personal style too. Caroline you just have taste in so many aspects of your life and I love to see people who have good taste executing it well🤭
The matching top and skirt LOVE.
The way you gush at Abi is adorable and everyone needs a friend like Caroline 🥹
i have to go make breakfast before i can watch but i am So excited about this upload, and even more so knowing what i know about the making of from the podcast 😂
In the summer on the east coast I'm personally a big fan of "dresses that touch me the least amount" because they feel so breezy in the heat.
sweater tip! before tying it around your shoulders button it up so it's less wide!
So CREATIVE on the paper dolls. You put a lot of effort into the videos. Great Job!!!
Your style is SO Zooey Deschanel in 500 days of summer/New girl coded and its PERFECT fOR YOU
When I first saw the thumbnail on my home page, I thought „damn, that is so cool. I‘ll subscribe just for this!“ - then I noticed it was you, who I‘ve been following for like a year!
Amazing work, Caroline, it looks so cool!
kiss em petite sandals iykyk
(also made me realize I've probably watched too many of your videos)
“You’re kissing my feet” 😂
If Caroline posts I don’t walk I Run!! Your style is amazing. ❤you are truly stunning. You could literally rock a trash bag. Love ya
Love!! Love the little skirts the most and combined w sweaters. The wife sweatshirt always makes me laugh and is so wonderfully…you :)
I love your style! And your descriptors are perfect. Love this video!
I'd just like to say I think mid thigh skirts look particularly good on you. Loving the circle tennis skirt looks!
The amount of times I google image searched a top or dress of yours!! love your style and I am so excited for this video
Can't win!
It's like Stockholm syndrome with skinny jeans now isn't it?!
I’m 18 years old and I still love skinny jeans. They look so cute with boots.
I can’t stand crumbs on my feet, either! Always bringing my slippers when traveling
absolutely will not allow it, .horrible. i dont know how anyone does
Best way to wear a sweater is cross body!! Tying it diagonally cuts your shape into triangles and makes the outfit more visually interesting :) love seeing your cool clothing pieces ! Thank you for sharing!!
Caroline, your thumbnails and video titles give me life ❤
First off I love your style and think you have an excellent sense of what works for you!
I think you're style is perfectly relatable for people working from home and are not influencers. Not as "polished" but has a lot more personality!
i love your videos bc you seem like the most real and raw youtuber, i feel like your personality is so similar to mine and idk i just love you sm
i am so happy to hear that. i was in a compromised state while filming this so probably more raw than usual
