This is why I love you.. I didn’t catch ANY of the lies 😅 that’s why I need you to expose it all lolol every time I’m squinting looking for it….. and I miss it 🤣 every time. Then you say what it was and I’m like “ohhhhhh I see now!!” 💀💀💀 im too gullible for these damn influencers hahahah
Sorry for the rant, but what kinda annoys me about the friggin "5 AM Club" is how they think they're so special when in reality there are hundreds of millions of people who wake up at 5 AM, or even 4 AM. But I guess it's only cool when you're rich and do it by choice and not because you have to commute 3 hrs to work or get a ton of outdoors work done before the sun can turn you into a mummy.
Exactly! I live in California and us non influencers need to get up at at least 5 in order to sit in traffic and get to work on time. We’re not waking up to go sit in a sauna. Ridiculous.
Nurses wake up at 4-5 am, make breakfast for everyone, lay out the spouse's and kids' clothes😊,commute, work 12 or even 16 hour shifts, come home, make dinner and next day lunches for everyone, get the kids to bed and do it all over again the next day. But please rich dude, tell me how much you're sacrificing.
When I was in the military we had to toe the line by 6am. Meaning be up by 4-5am to gather ourselves. So I agree. Many people do this. It’s nothing “special”.
The woman that lied about her husband coming second when he actually came 32nd is both hilarious and sad. The fact that she thinks she can get away with lying when it’s easily disprovable but also, her husband came 32nd out of 500 other men. That’s pretty freaking good and to lie about it makes that accomplishment seem like it’s not good enough.
She should have added just a few extra words. In his heat he came second, in his age group he came 5th and over all he came 32nd. Also if this is his first time then is is very good. If it is not this first time then she could say he beat his Personal Best by X number of places. Élite athletes do this all the time. They celebrate any gain no matter how small. Hello from Australia 🇦🇺.
She could have even gone with "We're teaching them fitness is important even when you're an adult. Even when you don't come in first, or second, or 100th."
Agree! It's like people commenting on how poorly someone did at the Olympics - but they're still AT the Olympics! I can't even imagine competing at such a level to be eligible to even compete for Olympic trials! They deserve their efforts be acknowledged, not brought down because 10 people in the world are better than them.
Plus that's faking a message that you have to be on top to be motivating and awesome and that's not true, dude could finish it on 500th place and it still would be insipiring to his kid that dad survived so much and does it out of love no matter the outcome compared to others
I was just thinking this. I don’t follow any influencers because I don’t need influencing. But it’s interesting to see how they do their jobs and why people find this valuable.
@valbrenneman9071 Yeah, I watch her videos on mlms, but I don't follow influencers like the one she describes. In my head, Hannah is a content creator who focuses on criticizing certain topics while influencers, in general, are more about lifestyle, hacks, hauls, etc. Don't know if it's a real definition but for me those things are different
My first prof at uni told us about a game he taught his kids when they started watching TV and saw ads. They called it ‘spot the lie’ - what are they lying about to make you want the thing (“alcohol makes life fun!” “Shopping gives joy” etc.) This was 2001 and I still use this strategy to practice critical thinking ❤
@@Tifferz96 I don’t even feel like it’s “the same”, I tried the whole 5 a.m. thing and I just ended up as a zombie by 4 in the afternoon. That’s fewer hours that are actually useful, all in all.
Seriously. It really depends on the person and their lifestyles. If you sleep at 10 - 11 pm. waking up at 5 is unreasonable. Meanwhile someone who their natural clock log them out at 9 pm. might enjoy more time in the morning. "Sleep enough" is best.
They all do it. Some tho try and hide clocks and watches so that we cannot see the real time as in mid day when they just hop back into bed full made up in crisp pjs.
I mean how else do you film a morning routine? My issue isn’t recreating something to film it, my issue is if you say you wake up at 5 but don’t. I get why for filming purposes you have to reshoot something because unless you hire a camera man to follow you in real time you have to fudge with the timeline somewhat. What’s disingenuous is if you’re touting the 5 am wake up as some sort of lifestyle hack that you’ve supposedly gained all these benefits from but you don’t actually wake up at 5. If the guy wakes up at 5 and does his routine then recreates it at 8 am so he can actually capture it on film then I don’t see the issue. These aren’t live feeds nor do they purport to be, everyone knows the content is edited.
@@greenluxiright? Like if you’re being legitimate about when you’re filming, whatever, do what you need to do. But saying you’re up at 5 when you’re actually up at 7 is just so bizarre.
The guy sounds like pick me, he curated his fake routine to showcase typical things that some girls fawn over, and made an attempt to sneak a humble brag about the guitar, even his voice sounds like he's full of himself but deep down he seems pretty thirsty for attention and validation.
No mother leaves her kid at home for TWO HOURS while she galavants across NYC. Best case scenario: she's lying about her life. Worst case: she's a negligent mother.
@@brittanybrittany194why would anyone here assume (a) there’s a dad, period and (b) that said father works from home? They wouldn’t. If I was a SAHM with a spouse who teleworked from home, I wouldn’t be galavanting all over the city during my partner’s work day; naps end at any time and then what’s dad supposed to do? Hope for understanding bosses and/or clients for starters I would assume since he’s going to be juggling a baby until influencer mom gets back from her coffee break(s) and faux workout🤦🏾♀️
Omgosh I said the exact same thing! Also, what toddler in real life wakes up at 1pm🤨😑 and who was home with the toddler the whole time she was off getting coffee, exercising, and walking the dog???
@@solidsnake1806i think just safety reasons like when i have to walk really late at night i don’t use headphones and i wouldn’t go workout outside late at night alone with headphones cuz i wouldn’t be able to visually see or hear my surroundings
I remember when they video went around and almost everyone called bs on her, many also did accuse her of just dumping the honey, which throws her attempt of looking sustainable out of the window. I don't think she bought the jars filled with honey but wouldn't put it past influencers doing that. But ya it's such an unrealistic thing to lie about
I'm not even kidding when I say this, but this should be shown as a class to all students especially teens in this internet age. This is exactly the kind of content we should all be aware of and to help us spot false advertising and not get sucked into this "influencer trends" because it was hard for me to even spot some of the stuff. I'll be sharing this with my son and nieces and friends. Thanks for the video!
As a New Yorker, I call total BS on that first video - not just on the dates, but the geography. She has coffee from Copper Mug Coffee in Williamsburg (Brooklyn), then went to a diner in Commack (Long Island). That's at least an hour drive!! They'd probably have to pass a hundred (or more) diners before they got to Commack. 🤦♀️ (Edited: I've corrected my drive time - I mistakenly said it was about two hours. Still a long drive for brunch.)
Came to the comments to say this! Commack is in Suffolk County… 3 counties over from Brooklyn! The LIE (Long Island Expressway) isn’t the only lie she used 😅. LIE (Long Island Expressway) isn’t the only lie she used 😅. (Edited to change Queens to Brooklyn)
"Spot the Lie" would be a great game to play with our KIDS! Media Literacy is so, so, so important for the generation of youth growing up with screens in their hands. If we can teach them to watch content with some skepticism, it will help ward off a whole host of issues before they have a chance to develop. Thank you, Hannah ❤
We used to play "What are they trying to sell us?" with our daughter when she was younger. Some of those ads and commercials make it really hard to figure out what exactly the product is.
Is it me or is it super cringy that people set up their phone, walk away... Then record themselves running past it like they're exercising. 😩 The whole living your life on social media AND lying about it is toxic.
It is rather cringy but it depends on how they edit and post the video I guess because sometimes I film that way to get certain shots I'd like, however I don't do it in public because that's too awkward 😅😬
It’s amazing how many influencers are more ‘illusion’ than reality… especially when most of their followers are from Quicky Social. At least their bots are loyal! 😂
As a professional cleaner my biggest pet peeve with the vast majority of influencers is when they pre-clean before their “clean with me” videos. I can 100% tell they already cleaned themselves or hired someone. It really bothers me bc I have clients who now believe it’s normal to have your home that clean all the time & can tell it affects their mental health.
But on the same side as those influencers, there are cleaning-influencers who promote and normalize obsessive cleaning as part of their daily routine (or what feels like, their whole daily routine), state that this is sustainable and doable in just 10-15 minutes a day and everyone who can't sustain that routine and that kind of spotless home is just lazy and nasty. You'll find their fans in the comment of "let's normalize normal homes" reels, being disgusted about perfectly acceptable, relatively tidy homes.
Yes this is very annoying. The other thing that bothers me is the influencers who do videos about their cleaning routine etc, and then you find out that they have someone come in and clean for them!
Thank you for saying this, I don't follow influencers, but a friend of mine made it a point to always send me pictures of her cleaning, or texting me telling me she was doing it, and with her house always being very put together I always felt somewhat guilty for not being as good at keeping my place as tidy, and a bit envious that with a full time job and 2 kids she still found the time to do all that. Until one day I got to her place earlier than agreed on cause I wasn't doing anything, I texted her but she didn't read it apparently, and I found her chilling in the backyard with a cleaning lady in the house. As always she had told me she was going to be cleaning that afternoon 😂 To say she was embarassed is an understatement. Idk why one would lie about something like that, there shouldn't be any shame in hiring people to clean, kudos to anyine who can afford the help!
My stepdaughter, at like 14 (she is 18 now) was like "I am gonna have a maid, and a tesla when I move out." I told her they aint NO WAY your lazy, non-go get it having self will have a maid or a tesla. Cause you aren't doing what you need to at the moment to have those things in the future. I know that was harsh, but I have known her since she was 4, and despite my efforts to motivate her she would rather sleep in every weekend and scroll for hrs on her phone. I try to tell her that mess she sees on tiktok are lies, and car personalities the person has created.
Yes yes Critical thinking 101 Social media Newspaper, magazine Who is benefiting from your ignorance How does this benefit society or person making the content Paid promotion vs actual news Logical fallacies
The lady with the toddler makes it look like she's the only one caring for the toddler but she constantly leaves the house while toddler is napping or asleep. Either she has an at home nanny or she needs to be visited by child protection services.
I RAN to the comments when I saw that! Child endangerment, doing that can be literally deadly! 😭 Surely someone else was home. Imagine rage baiting aboosing your toddler 🥺 poor kid! 😢
Right! Even with a bigger family (today's standards, a family of 5-6 including parents is big to me lol), you'd maybe use half of what she showed, MAYBE, if the family uses honey for absolutely everything.
I know some people will think "whats the point in calling these people out, isn't it so trivial?" But lies and bullshit are so commonplace these days, that it's literally eroding the very fabric of our societies. From politics to conspiracy theories, corporate BS to influencers, gurus and media narratives. Truth and reality are so important, that it's always worth calling out bullshit in any form. There has to be some pushback. Keep up the good work!
Getting 32nd place out of around 500 men really is still super impressive…. I don’t understand why on earth you would even lie about something like that.
Yes! Also, the fact you can spot the guy in red shorts ahead of them 29:31 clearly shows they’re not the front two. Give your husband credit for the amazing work he’s done.
Th lady with the vampire kid doesn’t even live in New York City as she claims; she lives in Comack, which is a perfectly nice SUBURB in Long Island, NY state, about 50 miles from NYC. I live in NJ and live closer to Manhattan than she does….
Thankyou sm for exposing these self proclaimed influencers. As a teenager I get so annoyed when my friends rave about influencer culture. Always knew it was all for the camera but this video was still so satisfying to watch.
good for you for being smart. sounds like you need a different crown of friends. but you’re young and will learn who’s worthy of being your friend and who is not. protect your peace and if that means you’ll be alone, that is OK and normal. love yourself more than wanting to be surrounded by low energy soul sucking people.
Is her toddler home alone? Wouldn't working out on the grass like that in white clothes without a mat leave grass stains?? The amount of time it'd take setting up your camera to catch these shots of you "acting" out your day ALONE would take hours to set up! GOD these people's need for validation makes them come off as such losers to me, I'm sorry...but if you can't enjoy your life without filming and performing every second of it, you have a problem.
I was wondering that, sure her night videos maybe she has a partner at home but at 11am on (presumably) a weekday routine? Is the kid actually in a pram just out of shot? Does she have a childcare come days a week who come over while her kid is still in bed?
YES!! All I could think about is how did she not get anything on those white pants? I can't wear white for 30 seconds without getting something on it. There is NO WAY she laid on the grass and worked out without getting anything on them.
I was working out and actually witnessed a fitness influencer faking content. It was so eye-opening watching her do a couple of reps and pretend to be working hard when, in actuality, she was barely doing anything. She filmed the who routine in like 5 mins, adding "sweat marks" to her workout attire. and then walked out completely unbothered.
I think this is crazy because my mom was the “influencer mom” without social media. My mom would make the BEST breakfasts, make me iced coffee in highschool, homemade bagels or waffles or pancakes for all 4 of us. She would later drive to my grandmas house to take care of her until it was time to pick my brother and I up from school. My mom was on top of everything. She wasn’t perfect, but was more perfect than any influencer I’ve ever seen
That's because she didn't have to stop and set up a tripod and camera every time she was about to do something. You would be surprised how much time that takes. 😂
@@LisaKinoti As someone who makes cooking videos on TikTok, I can confirm that's true. 😅 A 1 hour recipe takes 2 hours when you have to record everything aesthetically.
my boyfriend actually wakes up at 4:30-5AM every morning. How I know this? He wakes me up and kisses me good morning every day and I happily go back to sleep even better than I was sleeping before. No social media, no editing, no bragging about routine. He actually just is.
My husband does the same thing! Wakes up, gets dressed by his phone light, kisses me softly on his way out of the room and i fall back asleep. Going on 14 years of this routine 😩🫶🏼
I think "What I Eat in a Day" or "What I spend in a day" or "My Morning Routine" videos are some of the MOST toxic shit that social media has, and watching you debunk all these fake ass fuckers is SO therapeutic. 💜
I had to do a "day in the life" to receive a scholarship. the most stressful things ever. I spent the entire month stressing, filming, editing, discarding and re-filming for the videos for a 2min clip. The frustration of having to delete large chunks of footage over a small mistake or some insecurity I never saw before. Part of me just thought I wasn't good enough at it. every video "my morning routine" or "spend the day with me" I just sign over cause I know they got absolutely nothing else done that day.

@deadk0ala451 i think alot of these influencers have help with getting their videos edited.
Oh they absolutely do. They hire people because they have no talent or skills to do it themselves. Even the movie and music reactors do it. It’s all a sham
I like the ones where it's the stoner /lazy moms who film themselves tossing fruit loops at their kids and rolling back over for a 5 minutes. Those speak to me. 😂
My biggest influencer scam I see is “hauls.” They are buying hundreds of dollars worth of crap, making a video, and then you know they are taking it all back. There’s no way ANYONE can spend that kind of money consistently.
Several years back, an influencer secretly video taped herself returning a shitload of makeup to Walgreens that she had bought to review. Even though the clerk called the manager over and he and the clerk were uncomfortable about it, they refunded her for all of it!
I'm even more suspicious of them! I think they buy it, expense it as product expense and then return it. IRS doesn't look for return receipts. Just my suspicious mind!
That's what I thought too. Her man did great she didn't have to lie about his position, I'd be proud of my man nomatter what position he comes in and lying about his position definitely implies invalidating his efforts!
I was watching this wondering why it doesn't really bother me that they lie, and i think it's because i really didn't ever take them seriously in the first place. I see influencers as cosplayers in a way, cosplaying life, so it makes sense that it's all fake.
I work in a hospital and it genuinely infuriates the shit out of me when I see all of these "aesthetic" nurses filming themselves ON SHIFT to romanticize everyone's living hell. It's sociopathic.
It really bothers me actually. I understand they need to live their lives, but that's so unprofessional to be doing that while at work. The same goes for the dentists and teachers doing tiktok dances and twerking during their shifts. I would not want a doctor or nurse who is doing that at work to be in charge of my wellbeing, and I would definitely lose respect for my teacher if I walk into their classroom and they're "throwing it back" to some stupid audio
Same. I get they have to live but they are at work and in a hospital where someone is having the worst day of their life. Just be professional at work. Especially as a nurse or doctor
The same nursers who will tell someone their relative is dying and their is nothing they can do, then go stand in the hallway and chat and laugh 10sec later
I used to work at Disneyland and the amount of fakeness is alarming. People would literally go buy whatever treat is trending and film it, maybe take a bite or sip and then THROW IT AWAY! So many people scrape their money to go to the park and a lot of cast members can’t even afford to treat themselves yet they can watch you just throw stuff away. Note to influencers, if you’re not going to consume your treat, how about asking someone in line if they want yours for free after you just film it real quick?
This would also infuriate me! When I buy something that Idk if Itd like, I will always try to find someone whod want it if I end up not liking it. Usually, my mom eats what I cant eat but when she cant, I look for homeless. Example: 1. Starbucks had come out with Lavender flavored drinks so I tried a Lavender Almond Milk beverage but it was so sweet and I dont like overly sweet things. My mom is a diabetic so I didnt want her to drink it for me so I asked around Fredmeyers where I bought it and it took about 3 people to say no for 1 person to finally say yes. When I hand something to someone else, I hope they actually enjoy it. Theres no point in handing it to someone who is just going to throw it away when you handed it to them to avoid the waste. I found her in line at the cash register as I was going to the restroom and asked her how she liked it. She said she enjoyed it but is saving it for her daughter because her daughter liked lavender flavored things so I repeated to her what the beverage was, that way, she could order it again in the future. 2. Another thing I do is if I have leftover food or bought to much then I can actually eat, Ill first find a homeless person (they are more likely to appreciate the offer and less likely to feel offended by it) or someone I know who likes the thing I want to get rid of. If I cant find anyone then I leave it on top of something. I could be on top a trash can or dumpster (since homeless are seen rummaging them all the time) or somewhere else in clear view for a person to find it quickly. Sometimes, I might hold onto it until I can find a person who will appreciate the offer (like a teddy bear or other gift that wont expire.) Its so easy to be considerate that it's heartbreaking that people choose not to be. Like, I'm poor but I still try to help when I can. I usually opt to giving food away instead of money, especially to homeless. That way, I know that they are getting what they actually need. Like I dont want to fund their alc. or dr*g habits but I want them to be able to eat something so I'll ask them if they want anything specific from the store. Usually, its such a simple request like milk or a bag of chips. The only time I'll refuse to help someone is if they are demanding it, following me around, making me uncomfortable, or reject the offer and ask for cash. I'm extra generous when someone ends up being selfless. Like once, my mom and I offered a lady some food and asked her what she'd want. She told my mom that she didnt need anything, she was doing it for her dog so the dog wouldnt go hungry before her money came in and they just gone homeless. So, my mom went inside to buy a box of dog treats for the dog AND food for the lady. Another time, I asked this homeless guy what he wanted me to buy him and he told me milk and something else but then recanted and said he wanted to give his offer to his friend and asked for something else instead like soda and chips so my mom and I went into the store and got everything the guy asked for so that both him and his buddy could have something. If I was an influencer and no matter who I asked at Disneyland if they wanted my food or whatever and everyone said "no thanks" for whatever reason...I'd definitely hold on to them for as long as I could and either eat it later or find someone outside of Disneyland to give it to. I once had a guy accept a day old Tacobell burrito and told him that it was "yesterdays burrito that I couldnt eat" and he had no destain about it whatsoever. Sorry for the long comment. I'm hoping that if anyone reads this then maybe they can get some ideas from it on how they can be more considerate towards others and less wasteful.
I get your sentiment here but they don’t owe anyone, including the workers there anything. If they want to buy something and then not finish eating it, that’s their right.
These aren't minor, they're deceitful and a large number of people that these influencers influence are younger children. I show my twelve-year-old daughter your videos to educate her. So thank you for what you provide, which is the truth.
I had a friend start posting her workout routines and weight loss journey on TikTok and Instagram. I know she has had gastric bypass and multiple plastic surgeries to get from where she was to where she is. But she doesn’t say that in any of her videos! She literally makes it look like she lost the weight from exercise. It irritates me so bad 😩
The worst is the one lying about her husband’s event. She clearly cares more about her content than her family- not only is she teaching her kids to lie, but she’s also telling her husband she’s not proud of him! Does she care about how that might make him feel? I can’t imagine doing that to someone I love.
Right? It could've been a lesson about seeing things through, putting in the work, and how no one can take what you did accomplish from you. I mean, hubs didn't win, but he still completed the tasks he trained for. He deserves to be celebrated for it.
So.. I'm wondering if he came in second in his heat and she actually thought he was second? Lol like she didn't pay enough attention to the event because she was playing around on her phone "working" and filming.
Exactly what I was thinking, I think 32 out of 500 is such a great accomplishment. Lying about it in my opinion is saying his accomplishment isn’t good enough. I think that would make most people feel really shitty.
Thank you for exposing liars like these. I do the same thing to plenty of youtubers who clickbait wasting our time. I call them out right in the comments and of course they don't like it. Good job!
When you said "oh I actually film this in 3 separate days" it really hit me hard. I been thinking, what is wrong with my schedule, why can't i get enough done! "she really got her life together, she has time to take care of her baby do chores and film videos why can't I do that?" Thank you for being honest, it really made me realize maybe I'm being to hard on myself. ❤ unrealistic expectations fr
The Kardashians pull this often. I can't believe that people are still following them after being exposed to many lies regarding their "natural beauty."
Don’t ever compare yourself to that woman or anyone else that does Utube videos. That woman is rich and has a lot of hired help. She has a lot of time to dress in formal wear and do her makeup and hair because other people are cleaning and caring for her kids. You don’t ever hear or see her kids unless she’s using them as a prop in her videos. And most likely she has a hired assistant to stage, film and edit her videos.
We honestly need more people like her, as they said: Don't believe everything they say on the internet, especially delulu influencers. Honestly I used to look up to them so much, why? It''s actually sad.
I rescued a black cat from the side of the road in October 2 years ago, and while attempting to get our local shelter to take her in, they BEGGED me to foster until november-- because they have experienced a TON of influencers adopting black cats in October, only to return them before thanksgiving. Awful.
That breaks my heart. All for content?! People who do that should be banned from being able to adopt pets. I have a black cat, a senior. His name is Dusty, and he's my everything ❤
It is true. People lie to gain traction, to “get ahead”, and our society buys into being lied to. I am grateful you are tackling this problem. I see it all the time.
As someone that actively works at Target alot of these ppl are lying about stuff they bought/when they bought it etc. I live in LA aka the influencer hotspot and the amount of returns i do in a day that just clothes with tags on that 'didnt fit', full bags of brand new items, literally up to $800 in merchandise that were 'gifts' for them or their kids and they dont need it BUT the items will also be obviously worn and smell like perfume/detergent. Same with buying stuff, best believe theyre using discount codes, theyre handing me coupons and getting stuff price matched to save money, theyre not as wealthy as you think. Genuinely all the stuff they do is fake/forced pls dont believe everything you see.
This is potentially dangerous, because they claim they did like a 1000 things in one day, and then some mom struggling to exist sees it, and thinks it's normal to go to three restaurants and 5 shopping malls in one day, and goes- how come I don't have energy/time/money to do this?
Then that mom should just pay more attention to her own life and live in the moment. She's gonna have to do that whether they're lying or not, and moping around about how other people live (or don't live) isn't going to make her life any better.
@@KhadijaTop-rq4kg A lot of people have mental illnesses like depression that can already cause suicidal thoughts. Seeing unrealistic videos of other moms could make someone feel even more inadequate and actually lead to an attempt or even a successful suicide. Idc if people post their lives, even if they really are doing all of these things, but lying about it is so disgusting and potentially dangerous
He should run now. If you suspect you'll suspect something it isn't healthy. Usually this is because of something you're doing and you're projecting..😂
I know that you may never read this or believe me, but I got out from Gaza 7 months ago, and I was always watching your videos they helped me through, even though all the concepts are foreign to me, the way you analyse these videos is very enlightening and informative, and the MLM video's where a whole new world for me. Currently rewatching this video, thank you and keep going I support you ❤
I deleted Instagram and TikTok last year December. I’ve lost weight in a healthy way. I don’t have nearly as much anxiety. I’m slowly getting a clear vision of life. I understand what is important in life. I never thought of it this way but I’m so happy I followed my instinct because something told me we are fed lies and it was so sad and scary at the same time. So thank you for confirming it for me!
Congrats. Best decision you could make. I don't have those either. I also got rid of Facebook years ago. My advice: If you're an american, stop reading / watching American news as much as possible - especially cable news. I get most of my news (as an American) from non-biased anti-Imperialist sources. It's insane how much propaganda and lies we're fed - all to feed the corporate interest machine. Americans unfortunately have zero media literacy. Democracy Now is a good American based news source but it still has some problems.
So, I was a pathological liar for a long time. I lied about EVERYTHING, no matter how inconsequential. It stemmed from living in an emotionally and verbally abusive household where I was constantly walking on eggshells. It was better to lie and placate than tell the truth. I realised around 17 or 18 that it was becoming a problem, it was something I thoroughly disliked about myself. I started going to therapy, challenging myself to always be honest. I can now comfortably say that I'm a far more honest person than I was when I began. I can't imagine not only falling into my lies but PROMOTING them to millions of people. It's just...insane.
Good on you for recognizing that you had a problem and working hard to change your habits. That's hard to do. A lot of people aren't willing to acknowledge that they have things they need to change, but all of us are imperfect. We need more people like you. ❤
Ugh my sister does this. She lies about everything 24/7 to our friends about our family, experiences and just everything. She can’t stop and it makes it really uncomfortable for me because I have to go along with it
What triggered you to go to therapy? How long did you spend? If you should do it again, what would you do differently? Do you believe you can sort these issues out without the need to talk to an external force?
Yes he totally forgot he had set up the tripod and camera 😂 It reminds me of people posting themselves “ugly crying”. This sort of attention seeking behaviour is very childish/adolescent.
But what if he chose to leave it in despite him finding it embarrassing for the sake of being real? why does everyone have to make everything so goddamn negative like damn ain’t yall tired? who are they hurting?🙄
Thank you for highlighting some of the obvious, and some of the very subtle lies we are being asked to believe as the truth by unscrupulous influencers. I had long suspected what I was seeing was "off", "not right", but couldn't quite place my finger on the reason I felt that way. Angle of sun was a big "AH HA!" moment! The other being "continuity errors" the influencer let slip by unnoticed, like the black straw of the iced coffee, the white one of the hot, and back to the black again. You're quite right about how entertaining it is to catch the flubs, goof ups, and outright fibs. Thanks for your fun videos!
There were hot dogs and margarine as well as I think disposable plates etc on that bill. WTF. also, she didn't spend $100 on meat at whole foods and those breaks bring weighed showed as over $120 so very doubtful they were even hers.
30:28 imagine how that husband feels knowing his wife lied and said he made it second place but in reality he made it 32nd overall and 5th for his age… he already did great but to not be proud of him for what he actually accomplished is a a punch in the stomach..
She didn't lie. She was clearly documenting one heat. She calls it a race because it was his race. She didn't pretend that he won the whole event. That would look a lot different. Think of it like you documented you're kids potato sack race. You would state how s/he placed in that race and no-one would think that you placed that overall for your whole school, let alone your grade.
Girl, I subscribed so fast 💨 😅 I swear I’ve been telling my friends and family that those influencers were mostly full of 💩 and you cleaned up that 💩 so critically well. 😊
You’re totally right about influencers returning clothing. My fiancé worked for UPS two years ago, and they do Amazon returns there. He had repeat customers who would come in with $600 worth of Amazon fashion returns because they were influencers who would film try-on hauls and then return everything after posting the video. He said it was so annoying lol
TBH... I'm no where near an influencer, don't even film videos, but I return 80% of what I buy on Amazon, because I never am 100% sure of fit, feel, quality, etc.
Omg where were you when we witnessed this bold faced lie. We had two foreign exchange students staying with us and before they left we took them on a quick, "cheap" Princess Cruise from SoCal to Mexico. They were so excited because one of the girls recognized an influencer she followed. So of course they quietly stalked her around the ship out of excitement, while carefully following her page to see what she was posting. This influencer took a selfie on the balcony of the ship with Catalina Island in the background and captioned "Spending Time On Daddy's Yacht". She was trying to make her followers think she was a spoiled little rich girl, but she was straight up lying, she was on a crappy ship with 600 other people. It taught my exchange students a valuable lesson: people can say whatever they want, but that doesn't mean it's the truth. As 15-16 year olds it was a great lesson to not envy another persons life just because they flaunt it publicly. Oh how I wish I could remember her name so you can find the post.
We were at Disney World and my kids saw an influencer they knew from instagram do some very similar things as they watched her to see what she posted. Their eyes were opened.
Wow 🤭😬 i wished those girls would make a video with her somehow and post it online so people would see ,she's just on random Cruise 😂❤ I bet those girls had better time mentally because of this ,since they could see through the veil of lies and focus on more achievable things in life ❤
So important. That's a very important lesson for all of us that what people say isn't always true. And it doesn't make sense to idolize people based on who they pretend to be. A sane person would never make up boldface lies to make themselves look better. It's kind of sickening
Great that you added the crossfit-dad-example 💪 I was thinking of the exact influencer while watching your videos. Because her "what I do before my kids get up" videos always leave me wondering how any real parent could do all of this.
@@hometv128 in UAE too because it’s safe enough but still not many women take that risk (understandably) and it’s so inconvenient too cuz people have work in the morning
I think the saddest thing is that if half of these people were honest ("I'm going to show you my morning routine, I'm recreating it because I didn't want to film so early, but this gives you an idea"), no one would mind or care. We all watch UA-cam and TV shows knowing they're not filming at the exact time, and everyone knows it takes time to set up shots and stuff. No one would be like "how dare you recreate it".
Right? Like I've made "clean with me" videos before and it takes ALL DAY with all the shots and stuff. The video ends up being 20 minutes or something. I've never pretended like "clean with me before 5 am because that sounds more impressive."
Routine videos have always been reenactments though.. I thought that was common sense. Go back and watch some routine videos on UA-cam from the early 2010s. This has always been the case 😂
I don’t agree with that. There are some very young viewers who are going to believe the lies and will feel bad because they don’t manage to be as good as the UA-cam creator. It is a terrible example to give to the younger audience.
@@YayaBolender you're right. But also, we as the adults would have to explain that it's not real, just like we already do when our kids see something on TV.
@@ccw2312 There are very young adults who don’t live with their parents anymore, who maybe are a little naïve and are going to be trapped in the nonsense. Reading the comments under a video is very useful because suddenly you realize that people can believe the stupidest things. On a video, honesty is necessary, otherwise it’s lies and scams. And it is important for the viewers to trust the creators, if they don’t, they unsubscribe. Lies should never be rewarded.
If I was Ryan I’d be mortified my wife was shamed enough to lie about my achievements. This applies to parents who doctor their children’s work or filter their photos, teaching them that they are not good enough as they are 😢

I'm glad this video got 6.6 million views. This is exactly why I disagree with calling content creators "Influencers". What exactly are they influencing? Like you've pointed out so many are lying and showing fake scenarios and lifestyles. So technically the only thing they're influencing is lying. So these content creators lie in desperation to gain followers in hopes of making it big on social media. There's no other reason to lie on social media. They know they're lying and they hope their viewers are too stupid to catch the lies but some the lie is so obvious like you pointed out. The worst part is they still get what they want. Views and comments. In regards to the stove clocks. My stove clock hasn't been right for years because I get sick and tired of resetting it after power outages and then there's the ridiculous time change twice a year. Also when I would set the time it was never very accurate. After a few weeks it would be off a few minutes. Not saying that's the case in the videos you talked about but it's a possibility. Also I would like to add I stumbled across a video once of a content creator who was complaining about how she had to low key move because a couple of her followers just showed up unannounced at her old apartment and it scared her pretty bad. I replied to that video telling her "that is why you don't upload your lifestyle and where you live on the internet. Not everyone on the internet is your friend or is friendly. You just experienced this first hand." I've seen many UA-camrs who've experienced this as well with a few that stopped uploading altogether. That's why imo it's cringeworthy why creators upload videos of their children and babies. It's not hard to find out where someone lives with today's tech.
I’m so glad you did this video! Now I can show my 13 year old daughter. I’m a photographer and I’ve tried so many times to explain to her that majority of these videos are staged but she doesn’t believe me! Hopefully this can give her a better understanding of reality. These videos that are “supposable reality” give an unattainable expectation of what we should be doing. No wonder our society have a false sense of what’s important.
Haha! I am 14 years old and from lockdown 2020 when I really turned to online videos and tiktoks etc, I already knew that these influencers are lying. Now, I just watch these vlog videos on youtube which are like 9 minutes long because I find that these videos are more realistic than those tiktoks. But I still want to applaud those fake influencers for their work and how they have to probably ‘set up’ everything and then record. And the mom’s workout routine was so fake that you could see in the bg that she did one exercise for 30 senconds and cut out clips and then did another exercise with the same thing. But overall, even as a teenager I find it funny how these influencers think that their audience can be fooled os easily 😂😂
seriously. like we use a lot of honey in our house and we go through MAYBE 3 a month? and that's if were using it for baking and stuff too. 18 bottles is like... insane.
She's been caught in other stuff, some of it is so oddly obvious and pathetic? Like she claims a balloon appears in her child's crib out of nowhere but you can literally see the door near the crib open right before that
Some people are morning people. I study and have to leave my appartement mostly around 9:30 or later. But I love to have a lot of time to have morningxxx with my boyfriend, work out, shower, beauty Routine, prepare my learning Papers, go through Notes, learn and on and on. But I come from a farm and Farmers have to get up early or otherwise a bunch of hungry animals will become Mutinous. I had to commune to school 90 minutes I think people think / fear they miss out when they don't stay up late during the week and therefore don't sleep enough. Or they are just natural night owls. I don't think it's bad to have to get up early for work, that's just how it is. I don't have to take care for animals and commune 90 minutes to school anymore but I keep my 5 am Routine including going early to bed. I sleep a lot and I get done a lot.
@@CordeliaWagner1999I'm also a morning person and basically changed my life to go to bed early once I figured out I just function better in every capacity by starting my day early in the morning lol. Idg why waking up early is getting demonized as privileged or affluent. It's literally just about when you choose to go to bed. I used to come home from work, eat dinner, wash dishes, and then go to sleep. All the things everyone would have been doing into the wee hours of the evening, I just did in the morning instead (and felt a lot better too cause I was energized from a full night's rest). That's all it is.
My friend is a psychologist who runs a mental health business. They’re seeing rocketing rates of depressing relating to influencer culture. They’ve become numb to their own lives because everything is a lie to earn money. It’s sad
@@lunarlovely.not the op but i believe it to be both. you obviously have the side of the viewers when comparing themselves to influencers and their supposed lives that look so great and that they do all these things when it’s not actually the case but also you have influencers lying about such little, unimportant things and it must catch up to them at some point. i had a friend who kept doing these like eating out and getting coffee to make content and she wasn’t enjoying these things anymore because it was all about just making the content and not her just filming bits of her actual life. like i feel guilty enough when i lied about something like why i was running late to work let alone faking an entire lifestyle

I totally read the honey jar lie as “I don’t buy cheap crap from Amazon to pour something already in plastic into another plastic thing-thereby adding to our single-use plastic problem. No, these were originally honey jars, so I’m a ✨sustainable✨ aesthetic queen!”
Actually, 100% untrue what you said and what you think. I know her personally and if you look on her page, her entire page is dedicated to satire and making fun of influencers so Hannah is putting her in a bad light when all she is doing is satire.
@@CristaCampsCossie exactly- she’s a satire account. She makes fun of influencers and trends. Her whole page is a jokes page. That’s why Hannah needed to look more into what she posts versus clumping everything together. She even admitted this on the original comment I posted.
a potential topic for this series - those tiktoks of people "finding" lost puppies and kitties on the side of the road, conveniently with their cameras on and their tripods ready to go. i have always been so sus of those, especially because they usually make it into a series about bringing the animal home, bathing them, etc. great work as always.
YES! There was also a creator who would glue things on to turtles shells and then scrapes them off saying that they're "saving them". They abuse the animals for money, clout, and looking like a good person. Absolutely disgusting and it needs be be talked about
I saw the one where he "found" a kitten in a huge bucket ( idk what is that called in English) filled with water, enough to make the kitten wet but not enough to drown it. Somehow he has camera on to film everything
@@japanesesnack Your English is perfect. That's awful. Yes, I only watch ones that are from 'trustworthy' sources like Flatbush Cats or the Kitten Lady, the others are too suspect.
I really appreciate these kinds of videos. I think it’s so important to have, for lack of a better word, “whistleblowers” to expose the reality of what we’re consuming on social media. That part about the dad supposedly coming in second place especially gets to me, lol. I did my first sprint triathlon last year, and when I posted about it, I specifically noted that I came in first only in my age group. I have an extremely small following compared to these influencers, but I still felt it would be morally wrong to say I came in first without clarifying it was just within my age group. Keep up the great work!
the timelines thing reminds me of those grwms from 2013-2018 where the girls would film their supposed grwm for school but usually they where honest and say that the video was filmed on a saturday or sunday because filming on a school day just wasn’t plausible for them. we need that transparency back
As a teen I super believed they did make up and hair and filming it all before going out! 😂 when it was always fake. It would show them leave and the camera would end. Omg I was so stupid 😂
I’d be so heartbroken if I worked really hard in a competition and my partner lied about what place I came in. As if my accomplishments weren’t enough. That guy looked like he was genuinely working very hard.
I found the post and when she got called on it she said he finished 2nd in his wee group. She claims they didn’t find out until after the event. Funnily enough she clearly didn’t edit that video in the moment either young kids to look after so she definitely knew the actual result and still lied about it!
Most online content is repetitive and predictable but YOU are absolutely on my wavelength. I love the pedantic level of critical analysis. This was totally entertaining and satisfying. NEXT VIDEO!
For the lady with the receipts… I realized it was a lie the first few seconds as she claimed to be in NYC but pulled up to a diner in Commack, NY which is over an hour from the city of NY…
Haha yeah, and not even a - ok I’ll give it to ya kinda thing. For anyone that doesn’t live on the island or know it.. from me in east Nassau, anything past like Wyandanch, Deer Park is starting to be called ‘out East’. It isn’t really really, but, it’s like country living compared to living in the City. I’ve been to that diner, and I always thought it was in Dix Hills. It’s over that way anyway, really nice area, lots of trees, just nice. Like OP said it’s over an hour to the city. My point from above is like, there are some border towns in Nassau that some people won’t full on argue with you it “technically” isn’t the city. Like Valley Stream or any other that borders. It’s right there, you just go a road over and you’re ’in the city’. So fine.. if it was Elmont, Valley Stream area, okay whatever. Trust me, she is way out (compared to the city). I’m not saying she’s out by Montauk, Baiting Hollow, Riverhead, Hamptons whatever. It’s early Suffolk, but, it’s Suffolk nonetheless. Commack is 20 minutes maybe 30 from the border to Nassau.. the county that borders the city… There’s a lot of people .. ugh, iNfLuEnCerS.. that live near and around me that pretend to live ‘in the city’. Our traffic is different, our politics is different, our money is different, it is just not the same. They can’t even right on red in the city, I mean, that’s like a totally different country over there.. tf. Acting like you live in the city when you live 2 counties, not towns, counties, over is a bit lul.
also doesn't the diner receipt say "pickup"? So either she made the restaurant seat them after, or she took it home and set it up as if they were still in the diner and just used a random video of her daughter drinking an orange juice thing
And this is why I absolutely despise social media, especially for children and youth (who shouldn't be on it in the first place). It's toxic, addictive, and a waste of time. Thank you for showing some of the reality of these "influencers."
My wife is guilty of believing everything she sees on social media and more often than not it makes her depressed about where she is in life. She sees all of these people acting like what they post is every day for them. I try to explain to her that they only post the good things and many times over do those times to bring in more engagement. Then add in the fact that you see that from tons of people and it becomes overwhelming, thinking that everyone around you has it better than you. I can't count on both hands how many times I've had to let her know that a video was lying or misleading when she is about to attempt it.
@@dustinroberson1865If she also believes a lot of things she sees on TV, she may need to be tested for autism. Show her this video, and see if she chooses to believe the fake ones, if so, she may have a psychological desire to believe the influencers for a multitude of reasons. If she has a high IQ, she can rationalise it using logical and reasonable arguments, but asking why she believes each argument may help.
assuming the father is in the picture and was at home. i’m also sus as hell over is that like,, waking up for the entire day? or is it a nap?? what kind of toddler (like 3 years old) is sleeping 12+ hours without waking up and without needing supervision 😭
What annoys me is the influencers who wear all designer clothes but then post videos of all their “amazon favorites” but I NEVER see them wearing any of the clothes they buy off of Amazon. So right there I’ve clocked them.
I'm in the 5am club too...... I do a primal scream when my alarm goes off for the 17th time "FUUUUUCK" I don't own a sauna, a coffee machine or a dishwasher..... I read the red letters that are lying on the floor and i cry...I grab a comfy work tee-shirt and run out the door for a 14hr shift
Oh you gotta get a cheap $15 Mr. Coffee machine on a timer that you fill the night before, and when you get up at 5 am the coffee is already in the cup waiting for you. As a former hotel receptionist who worked a 6 am shift every day, it saved my life.
This is my new favorite thing to watch on UA-cam. It’s kind of like reading Reddit snark made me think about influencers lives way more based on others sharing their opinions. There were things I just kind of naively believed or followed bc influencers are so good at selling. It took people calling it out for me to be like “dang.. they are right” and start questioning why I spent time watching influencers. Call me dumb or whatever but sometimes we all have blinders on and it takes someone else lifting the corner for us to start uncovering the light lol
The honey jar lie is almost certainly to avoid criticism about how wasteful it is to move acrylic paint from one "ugly" container into totally new ones for no other reason than aesthetics. Double the plastic so that you can have your paint look good sitting on a shelf.
My thought is she did this entirely for the video and probably threw the bottles out after filming. At the end she says they're on display in her "craft room" - I don't know who she is and I haven't see her other videos, but what craft room comes with a sink, and an empty shelf for display purposes right above it? It looks like a bathroom, and there's no reason to keep bears full of paint in a bathroom.
@@sianmilne4879 It's still a waste of plastic even if it's poking fun at influencers. The "I eat 6 pounds of honey a week" part being aimed at ridiculous influencers doesn't absolve her of the wastefulness.
@@JohnPaul-jn1fo my initial comment(I haven't even gotten half way through it or the video), was based on this same notion...bearing in mind this channel's hostess is in fact an influencer. It's almost a inner conundrum. Akin to they're telling you about all the other thieves, but not warning you about themselves as they claim they're offering clarity. While I feel that the theme given is "I'm trying to help you save yourself from the big bad wolf", it has a potentially eerie undertone...encroaching into "yes, follow and heed my words; so I can gain from you and you don't even realize it".
@Helmfam2018 I have no issue with creators doing what they do because they want to make a living. Promos and ad reads all good. But there is a line where making things up for no reason is bizzare
I had a friend who became an influencer. He was constantly lying and exaggerating. When I questioned him about certain things, he would get so upset lol. He is now my ex friend. I just can't stand the delusion anymore.
I had a ex friend who made false persona base on whoever she was in relationship with. I couldn't be her friend anymore. She continue lying to them and me. I just left her alone.
It's all about turning yourself into a brand and living it 24/7. Whereas before, people worked in marketing departments and advertising agencies and only marketed or advertised products and services, not themselves.
When I was at Disney a few years back, I ran into an influencer. She was trying to make content and getting very angry that random people got in her video. The camera guy had to do it again and again, finally she asked the park goers to stop so that she could film. Nobody listened and just did their thing. So entitled.

Ridiculous.

That's what I thought! No shame in 32
She could have even gone with "We're teaching them fitness is important even when you're an adult.
I don't consume influencers' content because it doesn't interest me, but watching you debunk everything is fascinating!!!
I was just thinking this. I don’t follow any influencers because I don’t need influencing. But it’s interesting to see how they do their jobs and why people find this valuable.
I hate "influencers" 😒
You consume Hannah
But....HANNAH is also an influencer.
They called it ‘spot the lie’ - what are they lying about to make you want the thing (“alcohol makes life fun!” “Shopping gives joy” etc.)
This was 2001 and I still use this strategy to practice critical thinking ❤
“MOST women surveyed say they MAY have noticed SOME reduction in fine lines and wrinkles” is my favourite claim on an ad on TV
As somebody who actually gets up at 5am for work, it really isn't that special or healthy. It's not the flex they think it is

I like to have time in the morning after a good long sleep.
Seriously. It really depends on the person and their lifestyles. If you sleep at 10 - 11 pm. waking up at 5 is unreasonable. Meanwhile someone who their natural clock log them out at 9 pm. might enjoy more time in the morning. "Sleep enough" is best.
I have to wake up at 6 and want to die lol I need that last hour I wouldn’t make it without it lollll
I can’t get over the mental image of these influencers waking up, setting up their cameras, getting back into bed and then pretending to wake up 😅
😂😂. That is so funny to me too. The grocery store is funny too...

Thanks for the video!
my kids are better at seeing lies than I am, they don't care about this stuff. Some kids do however, I get it.
Thank you for pointing that out! Fascinating.
Yes!! My first thought with that example. I’m like where in NYC is she?
Came to the comments to say this! Commack is in Suffolk County… 3 counties over from Brooklyn! The LIE (Long Island Expressway) isn’t the only lie she used 😅. LIE (Long Island Expressway) isn’t the only lie she used 😅. (Edited to change Queens to Brooklyn)
The BJs she went to is in queens which also makes no sense given everywhere else she supposedly went to

Yes exactly, going to show my little one this video and talk about how magazine, tv and the internet can be faked
This is a genius idea!
Is it me or is it super cringy that people set up their phone, walk away... Then record themselves running past it like they're exercising. 😩 The whole living your life on social media AND lying about it is toxic.
Totally cringe.
They have no shame 🫢
It's really cringe watching people out in public taking selfies and taping themselves doing things.
It is rather cringy but it depends on how they edit and post the video I guess because sometimes I film that way to get certain shots I'd like, however I don't do it in public because that's too awkward 😅😬
Or worse.. people who set up their tripod and go back to bed and pretend to be waking up. 😅
Effects my mental health for sure
Yes this is very annoying. The other thing that bothers me is the influencers who do videos about their cleaning routine etc, and then you find out that they have someone come in and clean for them!
Thank you for saying this
Thank you for saying this, I don't follow influencers, but a friend of mine made it a point to always send me pictures of her cleaning, or texting me telling me she was doing it, and with her house always being very put together I always felt somewhat guilty for not being as good at keeping my place as tidy, and a bit envious that with a full time job and 2 kids she still found the time to do all that.
Until one day I got to her place earlier than agreed on cause I wasn't doing anything, I texted her but she didn't read it apparently, and I found her chilling in the backyard with a cleaning lady in the house.
As always she had told me she was going to be cleaning that afternoon 😂
To say she was embarassed is an understatement. Idk why one would lie about something like that, there shouldn't be any shame in hiring people to clean, kudos to anyine who can afford the help!
That first lady did her whole 'exercise routine' in the time span it took for the yellow boat to pass the screen... Amazing!
And the guy in the red sweater walking by all the people on the benches that don’t move!
To be fair, that's still twice as long as my exercise routine. 😅
😂 good point!
And the weather went from dark and cloudy to clear and sunny when she went to take out the dog. 😅
Who is the influencer in first video with the receipts?
This needs to be shown to all middle and high schoolers that absorb this content as fact.
You can always tell the over-30s by their use of the F word. Younger generations no longer understand what facts ever were.

I thought the same thing....WHO IS WATCHING HER CHILD?? The dog that she walked 10 feet one direction and 10 feet back.....🤯🤯

That's crazyyy😭😭😭
Adding sweat marks is soo WILD 🤣
😂😂😂😂
This comment was hilarious it was the “walking out completely unbothered” after a minute routine for me

Wow. So I can't do these types of videos then? That's sad because I really wanted to start something. 😢
Is it possible that they aren’t returning but using it as a tax write off?
A lot of it is gifted
@@angelm9635 oh definitely. I thought they were required to disclose that?
I'm even more suspicious of them! I think they buy it, expense it as product expense and then return it. IRS doesn't look for return receipts. Just my suspicious mind!
That influencer that lied about her partner finishing 2nd place she absolutely invalidated and underestimated all the hard work her man put in 🤯
Do you think he wasn't in on it? 😂
That's what I thought too. Her man did great she didn't have to lie about his position, I'd be proud of my man nomatter what position he comes in and lying about his position definitely implies invalidating his efforts!
Pisses me off cos I follow her. Now I can’t trust anything she says
@@OnePercentPerfectionistyes that’s sadly how that works isn’t it? One lie busted and you can’t trust their integrity, true.
Totally, in some ways this is the worst example shown . I feel sad for them both.
That is how I feel about the perfect classrooms on teacher videos/posts.
from what i gather, a lot of people who become nurses weren't really the nicest people you knew in high school.
Influencing truly feels like a mental illness at this point.. not ALL of them, but damn near most of ‘em…
Eh, I think this is true for some of them. Some of them I feel like are more of TV but in a more modern format.
If you go take a nap, even for 15 minutes and film yourself, you have issues. But us watching them is even more concerning.
It IS. To WANT to be in a influencer you have to be an actual narcissist.
I had a psychotic break once during which I wanted to become an influencer.
Narcissism.
The opposite of this is "Somebody Feed Phil" I always love when he shares the food
Yeah, they could scoop a bite on a spoon then throw the spoon away and give their food away.
This would also infuriate me! When I buy something that Idk if Itd like, I will always try to find someone whod want it if I end up not liking it. Usually, my mom eats what I cant eat but when she cant, I look for homeless.
Example:
Sometimes, I might hold onto it until I can find a person who will appreciate the offer (like a teddy bear or other gift that wont expire.)
Its so easy to be considerate that it's heartbreaking that people choose not to be.
@@ln4130 It's hilarious that you feel the need to explain that.
I'll translate to libertarian; it is our right to think they are vapid 👍

Well done!! ❤ God bless you. ( #relatable #thankful )
I’m so sorry you went through all that, you’re amazing for sharing this as well as having the courage to seek help 🩵
The dude being like “me playing a bit of air guitar, lol how embarrassing”, as if he didn’t actively choose to leave that bit in. 😂🤚🏼
yes! this was so weird.
Yes he totally forgot he had set up the tripod and camera 😂 It reminds me of people posting themselves “ugly crying”. This sort of attention seeking behaviour is very childish/adolescent.
Yes they see all the footage they so called forget about when they’re editing
🤮🤮🤮😂
I would be embarrassed to announce to the world that I spent over $400 on artificially enhanced and highly packaged drinks.
All that damn sugar and plastic 😂

There were hot dogs and margarine as well as I think disposable plates etc on that bill. WTF. also, she didn't spend $100 on meat at whole foods and those breaks bring weighed showed as over $120 so very doubtful they were even hers.
I was thinking the same thing.
Yeah I found that to be extremely strange. . If it was on real fruit I would understand smh

And what an inspiring lesson for the kids 😮
One can only hope husband and kids don't get to see the video.
Perhaps the husband lied to his wife.
@@michele0324 Or perhaps they did the lie..... TOGETHER!!!
She didn't lie. She was clearly documenting one heat. She calls it a race because it was his race. She didn't pretend that he won the whole event. That would look a lot different. You would state how s/he placed in that race and no-one would think that you placed that overall for your whole school, let alone your grade.
To the second clip you showed, I'm honestly more concerned that she inadvertently portrays she left her toddler alone for several hours.
That is exactly what I was worried about as well!
I also worried about that too! It’s never okay to leave your child unattended.

You’re totally right about influencers returning clothing. My fiancé worked for UPS two years ago, and they do Amazon returns there. He had repeat customers who would come in with $600 worth of Amazon fashion returns because they were influencers who would film try-on hauls and then return everything after posting the video.
Excellent story.
Wow 🤭😬 i wished those girls would make a video with her somehow and post it online so people would see ,she's just on random Cruise 😂❤ I bet those girls had better time mentally because of this ,since they could see through the veil of lies and focus on more achievable things in life ❤
Who was the influencer?
So important. That's a very important lesson for all of us that what people say isn't always true. And it doesn't make sense to idolize people based on who they pretend to be. A sane person would never make up boldface lies to make themselves look better. It's kind of sickening

I can’t think of a single woman on the PLANET that feels safe enough to go to the park to WORK OUT at 12:30 AM…

Mb in NY it is extraordinary, but overall I saw a ton of people doing it, and I don't live in the safest country on the planet
In Saudi Arabia we do it
@@hometv128 in UAE too because it’s safe enough but still not many women take that risk (understandably) and it’s so inconvenient too cuz people have work in the morning

And it is important for the viewers to trust the creators, if they don’t, they unsubscribe. Lies should never be rewarded.

Plus she’s lying about being in nyc..she’s in Long Island… such a weird lie 9:46
maybe you can help your daughter make an influencer video so she realizes that she can film things that do not correspond to real life?

Or they are just natural night owls.
I don't think it's bad to have to get up early for work, that's just how it is. I don't have to take care for animals and commune 90 minutes to school anymore but I keep my 5 am Routine including going early to bed. I sleep a lot and I get done a lot.

a potential topic for this series - those tiktoks of people "finding" lost puppies and kitties on the side of the road, conveniently with their cameras on and their tripods ready to go. i have always been so sus of those, especially because they usually make it into a series about bringing the animal home, bathing them, etc. great work as always.

Commack is 20 minutes maybe 30 from the border to Nassau.. the county that borders the city…
There’s a lot of people .. ugh, iNfLuEnCerS.. that live near and around me that pretend to live ‘in the city’. Our traffic is different, our politics is different, our money is different, it is just not the same.

how do you know she’s not lying and faking?
THIS!
Lol they don't care about you either. 😂
They get a big head and forget where they came from. The question becomes, who are you doing this for?
They're all liars..every one of them and the ones that use their kids for views are the worst!! They're literally selling their kids..
I had a ex friend who made false persona base on whoever she was in relationship with. I couldn't be her friend anymore. She continue lying to them and me. I just left her alone.
Good for you getting away from that type of person. You certainly don't need a lying person like that in your circle of friends.
It's all about turning yourself into a brand and living it 24/7. Whereas before, people worked in marketing departments and advertising agencies and only marketed or advertised products and services, not themselves.
As a guy, I was thinking the woman supposedly running, wouldn’t be running in that top. Unless it was for attention.
When I was at Disney a few years back, I ran into an influencer. She was trying to make content and getting very angry that random people got in her video. The camera guy had to do it again and again, finally she asked the park goers to stop so that she could film. Nobody listened and just did their thing. So entitled.
its time we do it
Please tell who was It? Was it Angie Bellemare? She goes to Disney all the time.
Yeah the honey bear lie ridiculous
Sofia?
Disney is just really gross and dangerous now days. Don't throw your money away.
