@kate carew I don't think it's fun to be unnecessarily cruel to anyone, much less on a video about home decor. Bullying is a shitty thing to do, especially anonymously on the internet.
Liz kills me, "A lot of our friends are authors or writers." ... "Yeah, I bet they are." hahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. She's always fun times on your videos... Your whole family are actually entertaining.
Can we PLEASE get more home reviews from you and your sister? I absolutely hated this house and I loved Elizabeth’s rudeness lol I wanna be her friend. We all do. She probably would block all of us 😂
okay hear me out: the corn stool makes a ton of sense in an Ohio home. corn is like THE common joke of trade in the Midwest, and Josh has lived there almost his whole life. (but as for Emma, nah, she didn't need it.)
Pls bring Elizabeth along to every Rude Review episode. Her energy is amazing. I spent like 3 minutes laughing at her “if I ever say ‘we’ you know I was lobotomized” and she’s just top notch rude but like she doesn’t seem to care enough to hold back so it’s amazing. Also the thing she said about having to buy a stool to be interesting was also so funny. I feel like Debby and Josh were trying to sell us their house as if it was the most thought out quirky and unique but Elizabeth just saw right through their bull-. Like just flat out “I hate that” but she was so funny. Ps: the blueberries were not loud at all lmao but tbh I didn’t mind the popcorn last video
Unpopular opinion: I liked the murals. Well, not the actual murals (too much of a stoner/skater vibe for me) but the fact that they did them. 1) the murals are a bold choice that they really went for 2) they hired a friend/artist to do them which makes them unique and supporting independent artists is excellent rich people behavior and 3) they helped with the roughing in which makes a fun memory and the best pieces in most people's homes are the ones that have special stories tied to them We in the peanut gallery might not like the murals, but the couple do and they turned out to be the only actually interesting part of this "fascinating" house.
I'm glad y'all can't see my house. Because I surround myself with things that make me happy to look at. My first house that I bought when I was 24 did not have a lot of room for heavy remodel. On my second house, I've probably customized it to the point the average person or you would hate it. My belief is that a home should be a combination of functionality and what makes you glad to look at every day. The only negative thing I'd have to say about the preferences for their house is that no one that actually uses their kitchen should have a white kitchen top. Good luck keeping that white granite/marble counter looking clean.
I'm sure your house is lovely! I think everyone should be surrounded by things that make them happy. I believe the critique from Caroline and Elizabeth here is that in this home, all the 'quirky' objects and design feel disingenuine and thrown in just to make them look 'different', rather than unique objects a person has collected over their life.
I actually really like their house. I guess my aesthetic is weworks. The only thing that annoyed me was Debbie Ryan trying so hard to seem cool. From the outfit, to the way she spoke, to her stance with her fingers in her pocket, to her constantly carrying around a coffee mug she never drank from. Ahhh... It drove me crazy. It was so insincere, so I couldn't take some of the elements in her home seriously because I was like, does she even like this, or does she what me to think she likes this?
I liked the house a lot too. Sure there were basic parts, but at least that made it not overwhelming. I don't understand the need critique everything across the board.
A different perspective: I think they are awkward introverts that smoked too much before the video. Also being on architectural digest is huge, I would be terrified 😂
I hate to say it but that’s just Debbie Ryan. I would say this is the most normal I’ve seen her 😂 but it is cringey and I couldn’t finish the AD video because of the way they came off.
@@anitachamberlain3391 ....how. I'm genuinely baffled. This looked heinous and incoherent from start to finish and I'm not a hard person to please in terms of design.
This was comedic gold and also your sister is TOTALLY the Kourtney of the family but tell her it’s not a bad thing! Sarcastic, deadpan, into the deeper things in life and over everybody’s shit. Loved this so much 😂😂
minute 8.12--19 has been carrying me though chemo, this time around with so so so much laughter. I usually watch impractical jokers, but after 4 years, I've seen them all. Much love from Johns Hopkins!
I never expected to get a disorder diagnosed here, but here I am with misophonia. Dogs licking, people tapping, etc drive me BONKERS beyond belief. Maybe now I can work past it since I know what it is.
If you have never read "What your house tells about you" by Virginia Frankel (published 1973 - totally vintage and retro but totally on point) then you absolutely HAVE TO track down a copy and read it. Best decorating psychology book I've ever read that isn't pretentious, and I have never come across anything like it, which surprises me.
Oh my God! Two normal people, doing normal things. I had no idea this existed on the Internet anymore. More Elizabeth, please! And more rudeness. F*** fake positivity! This was hilarious!
I think both of you are adorable and I love when you do videos together! I love Elizabeth. Her honesty is very refreshing, and much needed in today's society of deteriorating integrity. Caroline you never fail to inform or entertain! God bless you and your family!
i remember being that young couple trying to make a cool home but not having a clue how. And frankly, I still don't have a clue. Am just more clear about what I like and what I don't these days. It takes guts to put themselves out there like they did. And it takes guts to put yourself out there like you do. You were quite sweet about them. You are also very entertaining and come across as someone with a big heart. Your sister is hilarious. I've dragged my sisters into my videos too. It's so much fun. Loved it all! ❤
April 24, 2024 here! I've watched this episode before, but I just had to comment. I FREAKIN' LOVE THE HONESTY!!!! In a world where everyone is triggered by the least little thing, I derive so much hope & happiness from you & Elizabeth just speaking the truth & not caring one flying fig what anyone thinks. This episode just makes my heart sing. Thank you guys!!!! 💖💖💖
Please let your sister roast the next one even harder! Your gift is the critique, no need to be positive or nice. I didn’t even make it past them opening the door before I also hated this AD tour, but I’m glad I got to watch it here with you 😂 Keep this content coming!
The faux moss on the mantle is making me itch. Like, how do you dust that?? Also, please include Elizabeth in all these rude reviews. Her tantrum over having to say something positive is all of us.
I appreciate the fact that Liz remained true to herself because she said everything that we were thinking.😂 Also, I felt the popcorn in the last video added a bit of sass that I love, but that's just me. Everything is better with a snack!
Elisabeth performed the task of being rude. Caroline explained why the interior style was: they tried hard. Very entertaining. Thanks. :) You made me laugh.
I rewatched your video -- coz it's just too funny on a rewatch. The celebrities cringey actions and commentary on their own home was absolutely gold the second time around. Plus we get to enjoy your brilliant chemistry together --- this video felt like a sketch comedy :)) Best moments: "This is not a corn, it's a stool" -- thanks, we almost got confused. How she opens the door biting her lip and carrying a mug. They did the tour with a mug in their hands -- like lol what's that about? I love that your sister tried to be nice asking, "do they have small children?" in the sun room. And your reaction to her yet unspoken savage comment was hilarious. "homage to books" instead of just books on a bookshelf --- cracked me up. appreciate your sister's dedication not lying about anything positive. I also enjoyed that you were trying to see the design from their perspective; it really made your dynamic work. More of these please.
Strongly agree about adding the purple tile in the bathroom and how the bedroom was the most put-together part of the tour. Neither really in my taste, but you were spot on. I felt like the house lacked cohesion. In one room (kitchen), no focus because it was too empty. In the next (cathedral room) no focus because too many things were competing with each other. Some parts of the house were whimsical while others went entirely another way. I'm still not sure I understand their taste. I'm not one of those people who thinks everything has to be unique, or that there's anything wrong with looking the same funky mass-produced item that someone else liked enough to also buy (like the corn stool). But, I would prefer if those things were put together in a way that makes sense for the home. Sometimes I see stuff I think is super cool, but it's not something I'd want to own. I don't think these guys have figured out yet that you don't have to own everything you think is cool to look at. You have to realize that a lot of things are a novelty, but that novelty wears off quick.
This should ABSOLUTELY be a series. I loved the banter and chemistry you share with your sister. You both said everything I was thinking, making a truly rewarding watching experience. Thank you!!
My guess is that this celebrity couple loves to shop and likes unique fun artwork. And if they did have a interior designer? The designer probably had a difficult, or interesting job and probably had little to say? This is what happens when you're client gets to involved. There is no judgment here because it looks like they are very happy with their home enough to share it with the public.
Omfg 😂😭 this describes my entire identity crisis my whole life. All my friends think im so blunt, but in the context of my family Liz actually used to make fun of me for being a kiss-ass peace maker. It’s all relative 😭
@@Caroline_Winkler - Please! Rita Ora's AD ep is impossible not to like (or love). Also Kirsten Dunst's (for the first sentence alone!). Then, jump right into Gwyneths's to re-sour the palate, or not. I would pay for this, but only if you both eat popcorn.
@jcriverside I haven't seen Gwenyth's but did hear she has a fire place with mantle in pretty much every room because she wanted a truly English country home esthetic in L.A, including the entrance foyer.
Also. The comment about the monkey about making it a 'white bathroom with wallpaper' vs an immersive experience was so useful. I'm in my first home and my rooms always look slightly unfinished, I'm gonna have a think on that.

God forbid Liz actually gets comfortable on this channel
It was atrocious
I saw this malarkey and thought “please please Caroline PLEASE”
So thank you 🙏🏻
I remember thinking “these people are tedious and insufferable”
They were just SO SPECIAL in their own heads and I just thought alllll this crap is going to be thrown out in the next five years.
And yes, the stupid corn stool redundancy 🤢
And the kitchen stools?!? Wtf, so COMFY
Comfy my ass
The pretentiousness was excruciating
I’m with Elizabeth on this…that “our friends are authors” make my skin crawl the way misophoniacs can’t handle you eating popcorn.
When i see the corn stools i think 'corn can't be digested, so it comes out in your stool'...is that why these hideous things were created?
I mean, I get your point, but this is a lil vicious. We can dislike someone's home without being so hostile towards them as people.
I genuinely don’t understand how they got this AD spot
@@bonesonstones1 I understand it seems “mean” but I can assure you these people do not care. They’re not oppressed minorities, they’re young and insanely wealthy people with questionable taste. It’s all in good fun.
@kate carew I don't think it's fun to be unnecessarily cruel to anyone, much less on a video about home decor. Bullying is a shitty thing to do, especially anonymously on the internet.
When Elizabeth said, "Let them be rude to me", says a lot about her as a sister 👩❤👩
Liz kills me, "A lot of our friends are authors or writers." ... "Yeah, I bet they are." hahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. She's always fun times on your videos... Your whole family are actually entertaining.
Nailed it
Can we PLEASE get more home reviews from you and your sister? I absolutely hated this house and I loved Elizabeth’s rudeness lol I wanna be her friend. We all do. She probably would block all of us 😂
Elizabeth is a vibe! Love her. "If I ever say we love fresh herbs you will know I've been lobotomized"!! Please don't ask her to edit herself. 🤗💛🌞
okay hear me out: the corn stool makes a ton of sense in an Ohio home. corn is like THE common joke of trade in the Midwest, and Josh has lived there almost his whole life. (but as for Emma, nah, she didn't need it.)
This brought me joy today. Please don’t censor yourself, your sisters , not giving a shit about what people think,is so refreshing loved this ❤
“Their best is shit!” 😂 your sister cracks me up!
1) the murals are a bold choice that they really went for
2) they hired a friend/artist to do them which makes them unique and supporting independent artists is excellent rich people behavior
and
3) they helped with the roughing in which makes a fun memory and the best pieces in most people's homes are the ones that have special stories tied to them
We in the peanut gallery might not like the murals, but the couple do and they turned out to be the only actually interesting part of this "fascinating" house.
Their house was so weird
I would watch multiple hours of you two just roasting people like this. 🤣
Same😂
Me too! 😂💖🙌🏽🤌🏽✨
Yes yes, I’m in too!!!
I’m also I’m for this!!
I never expected to get a disorder diagnosed here, but here I am with misophonia. Dogs licking, people tapping, etc drive me BONKERS beyond belief. Maybe now I can work past it since I know what it is.
Good luck! 😂 misophonia often comes with other ✨neurospicy✨ fun 🤪
It's not a disorder. People chewing is inherently disgusting.
Welcome to knowing what you have. This one’s here forever. 😅
welcome to the worst club to ever, ever exist
PLEASE make this a series. I’m right with you judging these celebs homes
Thanks for the rec! I just ordered a used copy on Amazon. :)
Just ordered as well, thank you for this!
Me too. Thanks!
Ugh that house. This is the definition "we're so quirky." Also, we need more of your sister. She's great!
Oh my God! Two normal people, doing normal things. I had no idea this existed on the Internet anymore. More Elizabeth, please! And more rudeness. F*** fake positivity! This was hilarious!
"This would be a fun house to murder someone in" - Elizabeth. Instantly love her.
I loved this combination of Elizabeth giving zero f*cks while Caroline adding helpful design tips- I think we all bounce around in between the two!
I think both of you are adorable and I love when you do videos together! I love Elizabeth. Her honesty is very refreshing, and much needed in today's society of deteriorating integrity. Caroline you never fail to inform or entertain! God bless you and your family!
There’s too much “Emperor’s New Clothes” attitude in this world - you and your sister are so refreshing tearing these up 😂
i remember being that young couple trying to make a cool home but not having a clue how.
Them to their decorators- "if it doesn't shout I'm a quirky artist, I don't want it"
Also, I Love Elizabeth in this.
The pretense is strong with this couple. Elizabeth, you're a whole amazing vibe.
Caroline's reaction to velvet sounds like misophonia but for the texture.
...old I how out my velvet hangars now...😮😂
"should I throw..."
The faux moss on the mantle is making me itch. Like, how do you dust that??
Also, please include Elizabeth in all these rude reviews. Her tantrum over having to say something positive is all of us.
Elizabeth is too real for UA-cam! Would love to see more celebrity home reviews from you two.
The hard celebrity home critique has to become a staple in the Caroline rotation. So funny. Like an homage to critiques.
"a lot of our friends are authors...." "yeah I bet they are" so funny!
Elizabeth snatching Caroline's headband at the end to imitate a UA-cam outro is totally giving "The Lizzie Bennet Diaries" costume theatre energy 😂
Holy crap, yes. 😂
My only complaint was you trying to reign your sister in. SHE WAS SPITTING FACTS
100%
I appreciate the fact that Liz remained true to herself because she said everything that we were thinking.😂 Also, I felt the popcorn in the last video added a bit of sass that I love, but that's just me. Everything is better with a snack!
This is the only way I would ever watch a Debbie Ryan home tour-- gold
Elisabeth performed the task of being rude.
Caroline explained why the interior style was: they tried hard.
Very entertaining. Thanks. :) You made me laugh.
This house looks like college kids decorated their dorm with random shit they found from Urban Outfitters.
Random expensive UO shit lol
Well said
I rewatched your video -- coz it's just too funny on a rewatch. The celebrities cringey actions and commentary on their own home was absolutely gold the second time around. Plus we get to enjoy your brilliant chemistry together --- this video felt like a sketch comedy :))
Best moments:
"This is not a corn, it's a stool" -- thanks, we almost got confused.
Caroline, you’re right. They’re young and don’t know what they like or who they are. They seem to WANT to like color but are afraid of it. Lol
Wanted more rudeness than last time. Elizabeth shouldn't have held back lol
Your sister said basically everything I was thinking. This was super fun. Thank you!
This video was so rude. Your sister is so angry. I freaking love it. Keep it up and don’t hold back. We are here for it. 💜
I’m so glad that I just discovered you because it means I have such a robust backlog of videos to watch
I saw this AD episode and had SO MANY opinions, thank you so much for channeling this much needed energy for us all
This should ABSOLUTELY be a series.
Their designer is a second year student at the Columbus Community College.
I love how with Liz you're the lover but with Jess you're the hater! context 😂
Omfg 😂😭 this describes my entire identity crisis my whole life. All my friends think im so blunt, but in the context of my family Liz actually used to make fun of me for being a kiss-ass peace maker. It’s all relative 😭
@@Caroline_Winkler I wish I am in your family. In your presence, my cynicism would make sense lol. #contextmatters
I want to see an episode where Elizabeth LOVES the house. 😂 Is it possible ?!
Omg dare to dream
@@Caroline_Winkler You guys could review each others spaces (if she is comfortable with that)
Or in the next show have her only say positive and you say negative 🤷♀️
@@Caroline_Winkler - Please! Rita Ora's AD ep is impossible not to like (or love). Also Kirsten Dunst's (for the first sentence alone!). Then, jump right into Gwyneths's to re-sour the palate, or not. I would pay for this, but only if you both eat popcorn.
@jcriverside I haven't seen Gwenyth's but did hear she has a fire place with mantle in pretty much every room because she wanted a truly English country home esthetic in L.A, including the entrance foyer.
kindly, I WANT MORE OF THESE!! im obsessed, i need this in my life
I need this to be a series and I need it to be weekly and I need Liz to NOT HOLD BACK because she's an absolute gem and this was amazing. ❤
“No I’m sure that they’ll come up with some excellent complaint about them” 😮 your sister is my hero.
This good cop, bad cop dynamic is hilarious and WE (along with our fresh herbs) need more of it.
Also. The comment about the monkey about making it a 'white bathroom with wallpaper' vs an immersive experience was so useful. I'm in my first home and my rooms always look slightly unfinished, I'm gonna have a think on that.
She took this to a WHOLE NEW LEVEL OF RUDE and I LOVE IT 😂
Debbie Ryan: I wanna make history.
Liz: Oh you have
I like how they say "it's not really corn" about the corn stool. LOLOL
Right? Like we all thought it was real. WTAF? lol
Elizabeth is SO RUDE AND NEGATIVE making her the perfect co-host for this series!!! 😂 I hope she joins you on every episode of Rude Review. Love it. She's hilarious!
