@@jsmithers. at this point, what is required for older players who haven’t been active to get actually good is an extremely tough hill to climb and might not possible. Not just because of age but because of responsibilities and time required. The up and coming players put so much time and energy and thought into the game and even then don’t necessarily generate the output of results for some reason or another. It is a very brutal climb most people can’t and more importantly aren’t really willing to do.

I think Scar's biggest issue is despite being a good player, he tenses up because he doesn't feel confident in what he is doing. That stiffness adds so much technical inconsistency. You just have to mentally condition yourself to relax and make decisions, and to be comfortable living with the consequences of those decisions. I was a mid tier player at best in my prime, but I felt supremely confident in my decisions good or bad and because of that was really technically consistent, and could fluidly react and execute. Scar's comments on slide off were spot on, because I remember doing slide offs and amsah techs before they were meta, and in my community had a reputation for being really hard to kill and living to very high percents (150+) regularly.

I dunno man, I have a kid but at some point it's okay to spend some time on your own to chase your dreams and improve your life. For scar being better at melee is a practical path towards financial independence which is rare for most people.
