    It brings me a special kind of joy to see PC's 0C3 run talked about so fondly in 2023.

    n0ne's logic is truly next level.

  • @Michael-hc2hp
    @Michael-hc2hp Рік тому +10

    A note about 0C3 is that it used MLG rules for second sets. M2K beat PC 2-1. MLG rules states that if two players meet in bracket twice, if the first set was a Best of 3 and second set is a Best of 5, the score from Set 1 is carried over into the second set, and it become a Best of 9. Then in PC won the set in Grands on Game 6, beating him in just that set 4-2, beating him overall 5-4 in that Best of 9, and if PC dropped Game 5 or 6, M2K beats him 3-2 or 3-3. So PC didn't beat M2K twice, because of the MLG rules that this tournament used, but he did win a set in which he had to win one more game than M2K did to win the tournament

He was knocked into LOSERS ROUND 3 by Swedish Delight. He then proceeded to beat Gahtzu, Mew2King, Zain, S2J, Mango, Hungrybox, and then Plup before falling to Leffen in grands. Hell of a run.

    In the MLG days (pre 2010s), I believe Ken is the only player to have won a major from losers aside from PC Chris. (Evo 2007) Not a major, but Ken also won his first tournament against the east coast from losers as well (Game Over in 2004)
    I am glad they hyped up PC Chris for n0ne. He was a really great player and I think even Falco mains now could learn a lot from watching his old games.

    Low Tier City in 2019 with Hbox is Top 5
    Dude loses to unranked Albert, proceeds to beat Morsecode, None, and Fiction to make Top 8. Goes on to beat S2J, squash Albert in their rematch, beat Mango, and knock out SFAT to make Grand Finals. Then he wins a grueling Game 10 set over Zain
    Getting upset that hard by an unknown (BO5 no less, they didn't know it was BO3 and Albert still won) and maintaining focus/endurance that long in the modern era is crazy
