Your English is quite good, very clear and articulate. I dont think there is too much of a need to convert, I think most people with the intellect to get into this are able to get it. Keep up the great work, this is quality content.
Thank you, very helpful and simple advice. I JUST got the Avata after being on the fence for a long time and it is already making me a better drone pilot because of the simulator and the performance it gives compared to normal camera drones. The flights are actually FUN, not so much work for nice video but I can tell already to apply the same thing I always do…be humble, not a hero, work hard with practice do not assume you got it too soon. Is it me, or in N/S I fly mainly with the use of the left stick but in M mode I fly more with the right stick. What I mean is, which stick I move the most for stable fluid flight. I want more of a jet fighter type of experience than major acrobatics so I avoid destroying it within a week lol. Very good video
Hey! Glad I could help. Beeing humble, not a hero and putting work into it is very important for learning FPV, it'll also save you lots of money haha. You can actually change the controller layout for normal and sports mode, to make it more similar to manual mode, it wont be the same but you wont get as confused. I think the more you fly in manual, the more youll utilize both sticks as well, throttle controll is kind of key to get better at the beginning.
I have practicing in simulator and started to think I was the problem. Thank you for encouraging me, it’s just a question of more practice. Good video! 🤟🏼
This was such a great video brother. Thank you so much for all of this super helpful info. I just got my Avata yesterdays me can’t wait to get outside and fly.
Great video man! I really appreciatte you doing this on english. Im from Argentina and sometimes I'm shy about sharing things on english but looking how helpful your video was to me i might give it a try! Thanks a lot!!
Thanks man, I'm really happy I could motivate you! It's hard to find that confidence but if you're able to reach people and help and then see comments like yours, it's worth every second you've put into this!
*The most important thing is that for some reason ( and its a fact 100%, tested it multiply times ) that THE RATES in the SIM won't feel the same in real life so you need to manually find out how to mirror SIM settings into DJI FPV/Avata* Its ridiculous: I mean lets say your rates are 160/800/0.2 on the SIM, you tested it, you like it, you practice on it, you used to it -> now you go to set these *EXACT* numbers on your goggles for an actual real flight - it won't feel the same, it won't be even close. For example my real rates on the drone are 20/800/0.2 ( with only difference in YAW that's 460, the rest its all the same ) - now if I put these exact numbers as my SIM rates, they gonna feel totally different, the is no correlation lmao. No idea HOW because I thought its based on degrees? and I did it with two different combos ( avatars and dji ) and in both cases its not even close. I need to have 1200 pitch and 1000 roll on a sim *TO MIMIC the real 800 and 800 in real life* like wtf? No idea what's the magic behind it ( I have DJI FPV and Avata and now I JUST got Geprc mk5 because DJI is a joke, never again. ) but its like that with every fpv DJI drone and I find absolutely out of order. Now with my Geprc I can even set the EXACT rates into Liftoff Simulator thru BetaFlight that's isn't even an official Geprc Simulator unlike in the case of DJI where its literally a DJI SIMULATOR and the setting menu, and rates menu looks EXACTLY SAME in real life and in that SIM but still the rate values are absolutely out of the blue lmfao. ===> *MY ADVICE* if you wanna fly manual get Geprc or iFlight Nazgul, if you wanna do cinematic get a Mavic, and if you wanna do a bit of both get the Avata combo ( goggles 2, controller 2, avatar drone ) and then later on or even at the same time if you can afford it - buy a proper fpv drone on its own like Geprc or iFlight Nazgul and use same goggles and same controller from your Avatar with it, so you basically have 2 drones, 1 controller and 1 pair of goggles ( yes they work together at least with Geprc ). so when I go for a big trip I take both and if I wanna hit local spot for some freestyle I just take Geprc and if I want do just cinematic which never hapenns I would only take my Avata.
Moin.
Top video bro! Agree on all points, i made mistakes when beginning all the ones u pointed out.. i tried to mr steel flippy floppy around instead of slow controlled flight.. and i spent too much sim time b4 flying and between first few flights shoulda just banged more packs. Its all stick time in the end the sim can only feel so close it will never get you beyond the jitters until you hit the real world/dirt/metal/grass/concrete lol
It's so nice to hear that everyone is fighting with the same problems at the beginning. UA-cam is the place to get all the information but in the end it's like you said, stick time to build this muscle memory.
I am learning to do M mode on the Avata with the rc2. What simulator are you using? I am looking at Liftoff and some others. Thanks for the videos. Very helpful.
Hey there! I was using the DJI flight simulator, which I don't think is the best to learn if you don't have any practice on flying fpv yet. In that case I'd go for liftoff for sure
Nice video man! I have a question: to practice on the simulators in manual mode, did you have to loosen the control screws? Another question: do you always leave the control screws loose, even flying in normal mode in real life?
Hey! Yes you loosen the throttle stick also for the simulator. I leave it loose the whole time, even if it would be better to have it centered for normal or sports but it's just not worth the hustle imo.
