Man, I've been looking for a video like this. Just picked up an Avata with the controller and had no idea how the manual mode worked. This is easily the best explanation and video I've seen on it!
Billy great video! Just curious, will you be putting out any content or know of anyone who has put out a tutorial on how to get the videos off the aircraft/ goggles. Apparently the goggles have a Wi-Fi broadcast function? Also, any tips as to how to use the audience function would be very helpful. I would like to be able to use my smart tv to show the parents/ friends the pilot’s view without having to share my goggles. Thanks again- cheers!

Thanks for the info. I’m very new to the drone world. I just purchased my 1st drone 1 month ago. The Mavic air 2. Now I want to experience FPV with the Avata. It’s on sale from DJI right now for $899. I think I’m going to pull the trigger on it. It only comes with 1 battery so I will have to save for more batteries or sell my Air 2 but not sure I want to do that.
Its great that Avata has all these modes, and you can switch back and forth between modes during a flight. The Avata has some amazing software. Great video, and thanks for sharing
Great video Billy. I wish the Avata would do it's top speed of 60MPH in Sport Mode like the DJI FPV. No reason why they lock it out that I can think off.
Hi Kyle! I paired my Avata with the Remote Controller (from the original DJI fpv) without any problem. But when I go into the goggles 2 menu, I can't select "Remote Controller" (6:27), it's grey. So I'm unable to activate the manual mode! Do you know any fix for that? Thank you

I have a big problem with the drone swinging sideways left right at low speeds I have been flying fpv drones for 2 years and I have not met anything like this Have you tested your pitch roll gain settings at low speeds?
I have a quick question so when I transfer my videos to my computer, will the display on the screen go away you know where all the instruments are, showing the heights and speed and stuff I just can’t figure it out

@@roldyftw7159 I did that but it still doesn’t connect. It was available in the pre-release beta versions. Something is messed up, because even DJI chat said no. Strange.

So every time I put it in manual mode it seems to want to start flying and gives me a stick calibration error or something like that. I've adjusted it and calibrated the RC numerous times but it doesn't work. I can still fly just fine but should the drone be moving on its own is my question

Billy: does using the FPV 2 controller eliminate the need for GPS? Thus, using it indoors would be a wiser move than with the Motion Controller?

I wouldn't use horizon steady in manual mode. You need to know how tilted the drone is at all times.

Virtual Flight doesn’t support Goggles 2 yet, and the regular controller isn’t available, with the bundles only containing the motion controller.
It does support G2! Just have to select Virtual Flight from within your goggles.
