No you just need to have a low camera angle, I guess anything from 0-20°, the lower the angle, the slower you will fly automatically (if you try to keep the view pretty much horizontally while flying). And of course go easy on the throttle

They leak states 12-15 minutes. 10 min are already pretty good for an fpv drone, most others can't do that. But the batteries are pretty expensive yes

I agree, goggles are the far more interesting upgrade here, I had hoped they upgraded the camera of the avata or implemented a follow function, longer flight time is cool but the avata already covers that imo

I mean compared to other quads the flight time is pretty good imo, I got a second battery for the og Avata and that's enough for me but I also use it to mainly film stuff

What? The battery time is the only point where the Avata beats normal fpv drones. You are comparing to camera drones which is a completely different class

Nah I don't think so, it should be a bit more responsive because of the bigger props but it's also heavier so let's see, so far we don't know anything about the motors. I don't think it will be slower but with new regulations in the EU, they could limit the speed in manual mode which would really suck...

I think that's too niche for DJI, they probably want to stick to the concept of a beginner friendly fpv drone and just want to expand the experience by increasing flight time and features

We can't be sure yet, I personally think for a while not (commercial reasons). But DJI usually makes their products backwards compatible for at least 1 generation
